Xels and his interest in horror is scary. Like yes I also have some interest but not as strong as his. Hell he finds road kill interesting. I do aswell but for how we can never see these animals up close. Thing we share is hide under blankets when scared.

Movie Review | Nowhere to Hide (Lee, 1999)

The opening, which plays like a tone poem of cop vs crook violence, sets you up for what kind of movie you're in for. This is less concerned with the nuts and bolts of cop movie narratives than it is in evoking a constant sense of motion. Sometimes fast (usually with hard rock wailing on the soundtrack), sometimes slow as molasses, sometimes clumsy (car chases like bumper cars with characters hanging off the side, fight scenes like Three Stooges routines, characters tripping over each other to hide during a stakeout), sometimes balletic in grace. This is what drives the movie forward, not any procedural momentum. There are not so much breakthroughs in the case so much as episodes in motion, some of which bring the cops closer to the crooks than others. A lot of the inspiration seems to be from anime, particularly the climactic beatdown in which every punch thrown is drawn out to cartoonish lengths. And the movie gets a great deal of mileage visually out of its star Park Joong-Hoon, with his Frankenstein haircut and brutish physicality, giving him a tiny little gun for comedic effect.

The fact that this prioritizes visceral impact over even basic narrative details like the killer's motivation made me think of this at first as a bit of an empty exercise, but I think a worldview does come into focus eventually, albeit a solipsistic one. At first it seems like you don't get much of a sense of the cops' lives outside the job, but maybe there's a truth to that with these characters. The hero takes a suspect to his house and it seems like a pretty spartan arrangement. Impatience during a stakeout is dismissed, justified by the fact that "wasting" time is part of the job. A functional view of the legal system is espoused: politician make laws, judges judge, cops catch criminals. And when is partner opens up to him after shooting someone during an arrest, he tells to survive on the job, you pretty much have to compartmentalize. So there's a lot of waiting, a lot of running around through grungy looking streets (sometimes without shoes), not a lot of sleep, and not a lot of emoting, and you do get a sense of what policework feels like to these characters.

What about Dorian? How did he handle it? How did Astarion? Was he showing a lot? Or was it one of those "invisible" pregnancies? Did he try to hide the changes? Did he succeed and just showed up with a baby one day?

Reverse Robin AU

Tim, pissed that he got replaced as Robin, decides to kidnap Jason and go off grid. He bribes him with books, plenty of online literature classes, and Alfred's signed approval.

When Bruce debuts with 9 year old Dick Grayson, Tim pulls the same stunt. He has a nursery set up for Zitka, though.

New AU ideas….(Venom AU)

What if Ao Bing was an symbiotic alien that took host of Nezha’s body?

Ao Bing was an alien that was captured and experimented on by the Chan Corp, a government run corporation who wanted to test the limit of human-symbiote relationships/ coexistence.

An accident occurred however, leading to the breakout of many symbiotes including Ao Bing who escapes, and was fortunate to find an injured Li Nezha who is fighting til his last breath to stay alive after a big fight, and saved the man’s life when Ao Bing entered his new host.

Ao Bing remained dormant for the first few weeks settling into Nezha’s body, but eventually Nezha began hearing a voice in his head and seeing visions. Then came the flesh-eating cravings and losing his own autonomy at times.

The two had a rocky relationship at first, when Nezha finally discovered Ao Bing and learned that Ao Bing has seen, heard and felt everything Nezha did.

Really embarrassing actually…given some of the stuff Nezha does—but the two are beginning to warm up to each other.

Anyways that’s the general idea.

Most of the demons are symbiotes in this au and they all take hosts of their humans, and with each symbiote they have their own unique abilities.

Ao Bing’s is scale formations which allows him to cover his body with difficult to penetrate scales, and he also can lower his body to a freezing temperature (thus solidifying part of his limbs to use as weapon).

*And because Ao Bing prefers to remain cold and symbiotes in general are fearful and weak to fire, Nezha began dressing less because he can’t stand much of the heats.
