I got a scholarship but I had to fill in an acceptance form and it's just this form online where it says thank you for submitting and then when the window is closed there's no reminder that you actually did it, no confirmation email or anything. So I'm pretty sure I filled it in the other day but I wanted to see if there was any way to check and it let me fill it in again and I accidentally submitted it again. So if the submission shows up twice they're not gonna like. Take it away from me again because of that or anything right? They'll just see it there twice and be like oh that must've been an error? I should really screenshot these things I get so anxious about if it went through.

I kinda hate feeding the "wet sopping loser Edward Little" agenda (I've seen so many posts criticizing how some parts of the fandom oversimplify him and his character and boil him down to "useless pathetic wet cat who cant do anything right" and a part of me is scared that I've been (perceived to be) part of that bc I've produced my fair share of "nedward looking pathetic" art but I get that he's more complex than that!!! He is stuck in a situation that ANYONE would crumble in, his superior is an alcoholic who treats him like an errands boy but hes bound by the chain of command. Much more eloquent ppl have pointed out his wins and accomplishments on and off screen. Also I haven't seen anyone mentioning this but I think a lot of it is also just mcnultys looks. Those big brown eyes and eyelashes, the lips.. He can look sooooo pathetic and sad and beaten up on a level not many actors can imo. Anyways I hope this will shut the voices (in my head) up and won't cause any drama plssss)

(That being said tho I still love the memes don't get me wrong. Also yeah he's just fun to draw like this (sad/wet/pathetic))

lucanis' most attractive quality is that he's an effortless 'yes, and -- 'er. he and davrin especially 'yes, and -- ' each other constantly, even at the death threat stage, culminating in the 'first talon first warden' grotesquery (affectionate) as its most potent form once they're over that. few things are as charming to me as a willingness to bond over the bit and boy. when you're making weak jokes while facing down an archdemon lucanis will stand next to you and go 'she didn't want to talk, rook!!' like he was born to do nothing else. and that's part of why I love him

freaked out broken grieving, a wreck of his former self, come hell or high water. within five minutes he will say something that startles me into laughing so hard I have to put the game on pause for a while. only purple hawke can equal him in this regard

the darker side of this is that it is also how he communicates with illario but in a way where they lob resentment and self-loathing disguised as levity back and forth without ever really touching it or bringing it into the light, never leaving space for air to get in to stop the wounds from festering. I think it might have been less like that once upon a time -- just the playful bonding part, the mutual back and forth game of it, and not the wounding, since lucanis keeps doing it with others without that layer to it. sort of like intuiting where a river of love once ran by the evidence it left behind in the landscape, before something slowly dried up and left some toxic sludge behind along the floors of the river valleys

THE MC'S CURSE PROTECTS THEM, IN SOME WAY

(unless I'm the last person in the fandom to notice that, good job me)

If you pick the "Touch him" option, he only says "I told you there's nothing to worry about"

BUT HERE, he comments "That's one hell of a curse :D" meaning he definately feels it and it possibly affects him

Yes, the MC surely has ptsd of some sort and could assume Leander's hand was going for their neck like mrChocky but i highly doubt he was initially going for their shoulder

I believe the MC's curse doesn't affect whoever they touch, but whoever touches them

It's quite a bit of a strech, yes, but still a possibility:

Leander doesn't do the dramatics above if the MC touches him first

MrChocky was the one who touched the MC first and got he affected

And thus I bring in another question: What about Oracle!MC?

"The priests claimed your touch bestowed enlightenment, but a visiting mage revealed your curse for what it is."

It wouldn't be illogical if the priests' words were true; if the MC touches someone, they are "bestowed enlightenment", but if the MC gets touched forcibly/accidentally, the one who touches them goes mad

But that would also mean we'd have the choice of giving Leander more power if we choose to touch him

Also, somehow all the backstory mages seem to have a good understanding of the MC's curse [have seen it/it has been recorded before], or are at least able to recoognise it in order to reveal it to them. Plus, the Alchemist!MC's mage [who was "exiled from the Senobium"] planned on cultivating them as a test subject, meaning not much must be known about said curse.

"It's unlike anything I've ever dealt with," says Leander, a mage who has never stepped foot in the Senobium.

"We can find answers together," Leander promises later on.

Then he stops

He waits for them to touch him

Then he freely unwinds their bandages, allows them to touch his hands, his cheeks, he moves his hands over theirs because they've already accepted him touching them

He could have figured how the MC's curse works, or he could have dark-magic-ed his way into the Senobium files before the MC returned to the Wick again.

i think something interesting about a domestic life post-apocalypse-prevention for five is that he would most likely struggle to cope with the day-to-day in the same way a lot of newly released prisoners do.

in the sense that going to a store and seeing a huge aisle with 9,000 different deodorant brands can be extremely overwhelming for people adjusting to having options at all, i 100% see him getting silently overwhelmed but not really knowing what to do about it. he’s never really had that kind of choice for himself either.

growing up, everything was hand-picked and given to or done for him. in the apocalypse, there was obviously never a choice to begin with. you find something, you take it and make as much use of it as possible. in the commission, i have to assume he was very limited on the things he owned, because there was no reason to be material (if the commission even allowed for it) when the whole thing was a temporary situation he could use to fix his math.

so imagine a physically thirteen five, fresh out of hotel oblivion and finally having found somewhere to stay, going to a store alone to get toothpaste and shampoo and bread and socks. the essentials. and being silently shocked at the sheer amount of options.

also, five is very bad at not over-analyzing everything. everything has a purpose and a motive and a rule of life in his head. i imagine that deciding on something as simple as which coffee maker will be most efficient could feel like life or death to someone who’s never had an option before.

i've seen some people wonder why no one asked about where mizrak was at the end of the final battle, not even maria who seemed closest to him, but here's my theory: i think alucard knew mizrak wasn't going to survive his wounds and he knows olrox well enough to assume that once he realized the same truth, he would try to turn mizrak into a vampire. hence why the line "he's a good man, take care of him" COULD also be read as him saying "if you have to turn him, don't make the same mistakes as before. this time can be different" but he's leaving that up to olrox to decide

maria, juste, richter, or annette probably did ask alucard what happened to mizrak since he was the last person to see him during the fight and obviously alucard can't just say "he's alright, he's just somewhere else right now" since that would raise suspicions and any one of them would go looking for him. which would then lead to the discovery that mizrak is now a vampire, something that would very likely break the already extremely tenuous truce they have with olrox

so alucard tells them that mizrak died in battle fighting to save humanity but really, he's not that wrong. because mizrak technically did die but as a human

Ok i finished the first page of that disney thing and I'm gonna post it here bc i want feedback (also it's literally fanart of this fanfic, i did not come up with this dialogue lmao)

first off i know this is formatted terribly lol, i have always drawn my self indulgent comics like this bc i normally draw on paper and it saves space, and since I'm not posting them, I'm never worried about readability, so i do apologise for how tiny the top row is (that's why i replaced my handwriting with text)

what i want to know is, are the pictures too small? is it annoying having to zoom in to read each panel? I'll change how i format the rest of the pages so they're easier to read and understand, but should i retroactively change this first page, too? Or is this format completely fine, and im overthinking things as per usual? any other feedback is welcome, too ;^^
