I started on a blanket with 48 squares, which will be filled with symbols for good luck and other blessings.

This one is from a german folk belief, that a snake with a little crown or ring lives in some houses, barns or caves and brings prosperity, wisdom and/or protection for the lifestock. There are various fairy tales about people who gain such a crown or ring as a present for helping the snake. It usually grants magic power like talking to animals and seeing hidden treasure. Or it can just be a lucky charm. If you offend the snake or try to hurt those who helped it, you will have the worst of luck.

The crown is embroidered and the snake is a patch I made from another fabric and then sewed on.

had fun playing baroque 98.. very charming tone & art direction. narratively a bit esoteric - didn't have everything I was hoping for from some characters in retrospect but I'll be real I played it after watching that angel engine AI analog horror series & wanted something covering a similar topic with more thought put into it LOL, so the bar to impress me was quite low

it was very interesting to play thru it and have the map and item mechanics remind me of pokemon mystery dungeon, only to find out afterwards that the original torneko mystery dungeon was a leading inspiration for the gameplay! very cool

I know it's probably because the poly options (and Halsin's entire romance in general) were added later, but it's still kind of weird to me how, even if you're actively romancing two people at the same time, the game only lets you do Zethino's test once.

Like, I get that it's probably so that players won't just abuse the system to get +/-6 approval from someone over and over again for 100 gold each, but it just comes off as slightly odd from a story standpoint that they can both be standing there, and you'll just... choose one of them over the other willy-nilly, without anyone saying anything.

Honestly, instead of tweaking Astarion's specific lines and expressions in act 1 for the 13th time (and yet keeping his grammar wonky in act 3?), they could have just made this dialogue repeatable, and made each additional attempt cost an absurd amount of gold or something.

(I did and recorded both, but went with Halsin's for my save- Shadowheart has been on 100 approval since like act 1, whereas for Halsin, this is what finally put him over 80 lol.)

The shelves in the konbini were obviously too high for her to get any of the good stuff, so it would make sense for her to utilize her surroundings properly in order to get her prize, hence her climbing up Nnoitra and clinging to the back of his head. He was just the perfect height for her to grab a box of blueberry pocky and strawberry pocky and a few other small things.

Which she would then proceed to discreetly slip into the inner pockets of her poncho. She wouldn't bother Nnoitra and ask him to buy it, she was fully capable of taking things herself, she just needed a boost! Hao-sama had refused to use money, feeling it was a primary reason behind corruption in society, so she was taught to be very self-sufficient.

She gently taps the top of Nnoitra’s head to get his attention but keeps her voice to a low murmur so they wouldn't get suspected or caught. "Did you want some snacks too? Opacho can grab them for you." Her pockets have lots of space for storage.
