Contrary to popular belief, Mobei-jun is actually a pretty chill guy. Not much of a talker but pleasant company nonetheless. It's just the second he steps a foot outside his territory he is constantly overheating to the point of nausea. He can mask the discomfort but the sensation of being boiled alive makes him a tad more stab-happy than he is by default.

So yes I have OF COURSE read @naffeclipse new fic Apex Polarity and yes, I AM OBSESSED!

So I decided to make a little comic of how I think their "first encounter" might have looked like from Eclipse's perspective.

I can't help but think about how alien and scary we most look to him (especially if there is a history of fasco hunting polar sirens in the past). With all that gear we look like emotionless beings, just observing and uncaring of this ice world. But then when y/n shows up and probably exudes this joy and wonder for his world + shows respect for the creatures and the environment??? Mmh yeah, I can see Eclipse falling for y/n, especially considering how alone he might be...

So yes, that's what I have for today! If you want to read the fic I'll link it right here. I can't recommend it enough, but as always, read the tags so you know what you're getting into! And lastly I also want to @themeeplord beacuse Eclipse's design is basically their design in my style (god I love their design so much, their character/creature designs are the BEST) so all the credit goes to them! Episode idea: The adventure itself? Totally standard. Alien invasion. Space politics. Running down corridors. Whatever. But the entire thing is framed from the perspective of the Doctor’s past selves watching it unfold like it’s an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

You’ve got Fifteen roasting fashion choices, Twelve arguing with Four about ethics, Eight just sighing dramatically in bisexual despair, ect...

Meanwhile current Doctor is trying to stop an apocalypse and in the mental background it’s just: “Oh brilliant, you’re doing that again.” “This is why we don’t get invited to dinner parties.” “Did you seriously just flirt with the villain??” “Shut up, I’m watching the character development.”

Hello there, sliding an ittitbitty idea thats been in my head since I finished Apex Polarity (fantastic read).

AP, everything starts and ends the same, just that when Orclips transforms Photographer they turn into a sea butterfly (Clione limacina). If Eclipse was possesive with them as a normal size human, he'll probably go ultra feral and protective with his little pearl-size wanna make mate.

That is such an adorable thought! Eclipse is still so possessive and the photographer is just having the worst day of your life (so far) but you're just so cute and tiny! Look at one!

Also, I love this little tidbit because I didn't know where these creatures live but!!

It fits!! Y/N becoming a tiny sea butterfly siren is so lovely!

Eclipse would always have you in his palm. Everywhere he goes, he's cradling you close and gently protecting you from waves and ice flow, which would be sweet if it weren't for how you became this. He especially adores your beautiful colors and how diaphanous you look. It's difficult for you to wrap your head around how you became so small and, well, admittedly, pretty. Eclipse loves your wings matching your birdie nickname but he also begins calling you sea angel.

You're not thrilled by any of these developments, of course. It's frightening how vulnerable and tiny you are. You have to cling to Eclipse's thumb to not float away. Once or twice, you slip between his fingers in some bid to escape but Eclipse scoops you up and reminds you in a low snarl why they can't leave him. The ocean is so vast and full of dangerous predators, and you have to stay with him.

How can you tell an apex predator no when he could eat you up in one bite?
