America needs MAX PARTICIPATION for the economic blackout this Friday. This thing is snowballing fast because so many reasons are popping up for why people are doing it (including some "what it's really about" lists). A short list:

-inflation/the egg thing

-protesting the trend of corporations getting bigger and richer and more powerful while normal people are finding it harder and harder to keep up with the cost of living

-protesting corporations who heard Trump say diversity is out and went "Oh thank God" and immediately dropped (sorry, "didn't renew") their DEI policies, their support for the LGBTQ+ community, all of it

-protesting consumerism/huge corporations in general

-Trump giving a giant chainsaw of power to Musk and they are literally having fun with it

-the giant, reckless cuts Trump is making in general

-Jon Schwarz started a grassroots movement for government accountability and corporate reform and is going to make a million bucks this week selling Tshirts of his Blackout Tour

-moderate Republicans, Trump leavers, and even Trump supporters are starting to realize that Trump needs reining in from every angle possible because wow.

IT DOESN'T MATTER, at least not on Friday. The point is that the energy this has gathered is part of a wider pool of protests, boycotts, spending freezes, etc. that are gathering steam fast. And that's a good thing, because this Friday, Feb 28th, has become a productive, nonviolent flashpoint. There is so much anger and fear building right now in America and this is a good, healthy way for it to emerge. But if participation is too spotty, it will lead to absolutely nothing.

So please, less gatekeeping and more welcoming. Honestly, for the sake of max participation, if even one of these reasons matter to you, or matters to people that you care about, please participate.

Tl;dr: What is Friday really about? It's about momentum. Please, participate.

Saturday we mass protest across the country!

Sunday (Easter), which is only 3 DAYS AWAY, Trump may potentially enforce MARTIAL LAW. It may only be a guess but we cannot take the risk. Every single one of us NEEDS to participate in some way shape or form whether that's taking to the streets and protesting, boycotting large businesses/corporations, signing petitions or just simply rebelling against societal norms. i fucking love abstraction in film

#watched one of the films in the series my old prof sent me and it's like. yeah i see why i was obsessed w experimental stuff for a while #it's just sooo satisfying to get sucked into the meditative experience of watching something like this #+ like. there's a very particular experience wherein you're not waiting for anything to happen and you're not really being asked to questio #or read into anything but you Do have to Notice and Think to understand what the film is attempting to communicate #last year around? march or so i saw a screening of a film that was about a us specific historical event i wasnt familiar with #that for the life of me i cannotttt remember rn. but it had something to do with a blackout in chicago? or something adjacent #and it was upwards of 20+ minutes of newspaper articles about the event being fed through kaleidoscopic visuals #and even without the filmmaker being there and answering questions after the fact. if you thought about it for two seconds #you understand right away that it's about propoganda and how the us facilitates black stereotypes by routinely and strategically taking #right away then controlling the way the response to human rights violations is projected within the public #as well as how the cultural impact that has on black culture within art will eventually go on to be appropiated by the same white people wh #used the stereotypes it generated against them #idk why this is all in the tags but i have a migraine and im not retyping it #but yeah. good stuff lol. id watch more if i didnt have to be up early tomorrow morning. beach/river day!#&

i hc that marius doesnt do or own weed by the time mc meets him though, i hc that he dabbled in some Stuff back when he was an art student in florence. and it was mostly socially, like at get togethers or the occasional party and whatnot

all recreational drugs or even substances like smoking are a no-go once hes CEO of pax tho. i dont even think he drinks outside of the mandatory events he goes to, and even then, he only drinks what is the needed polite amount. nothing is worth the headache of a scandal itd be if the tabloids branded him as a drunk or a smoker....
