Hello! My family and I lost our Aunt Renee Sands, on December 1st, 2023; She passed away after a long battle with the cancer known as Sarcoma, the cancer formed in her neck.

She passed away in our home, as she wanted to due hospice care at home.

Hello, my name is Wafa. My family and I are from Gaza, and we have experienced unimaginable suffering since the war began. We have been displaced five times, losing everything—our home, belongings, and even our sense of security.

The most devastating loss was my father, who passed away on 30/11/2024 🕊️💔. He was the heart of our family, a man full of love and strength. He was battling sarcoma, a painful and aggressive type of cancer. Before the war, he was receiving chemotherapy, but as the war escalated, access to medical care became impossible. We couldn’t even provide him with basic pain relief or nutritious food.

We watched helplessly as his health deteriorated day by day under inhumane conditions. Losing him has left us broken and devastated.

Now, I live with my mother, my three sisters—Nadeen, Walaa, and Liqaa—and my two brothers, Mohamed and Ali, in a tent on our own. We struggle with everything, unable to provide for ourselves or meet even the most basic needs. The tent offers little protection, and we lack access to clean water, food, and proper sanitation. Every day is a challenge just to survive, and the uncertainty of our future weighs heavily on us all.

Not a dream, advice and help needed

I am so tired of scammers in dog cancer supplement world

Our vet recommended us to use Yunnan baiyao supplements on top of chemo to give the best chance for our dog who has sarcoma to do well

Except, there is not a single place to buy it at in Croatia

Last month we had a situation with a site in Germany but ended up receiving the goods after a lot of back and forth and a lot of stress

Now my mom ordered from another site and they were supposed to send her 6x6 packages but only sent her one set of six

She contacted their customer service and they apologized for the mistake (that's over 300 euros worth of products not being sent + she paid around 100 euro customs for the products because of the overall price, but didn't receive the products she paid for) and promised to send the products on their dime, but now they have contacted her again claiming she received everything already, when that's not the case

The size and weight of the package prove that

Trustpilot had a good score for the store that just went down to 2.7 with two new reviews that only recently appeared

Does anyone have any idea what can we do? Who to report this to if they refuse to send products that we paid for, that we bought for our dying dog?

We're over 400 euros out (over 430 usd) for products we didn't receive

As a family that lives paycheck to paycheck and we scrambled to cover this (I worked overtime many days to help) this is such a significant amount of money to pay for something not received

And the fact they admitted their mistake and then went back on it really scares me that we're not going to receive neither the products nor the refund

Not to mention that the customs were calculated for the full price, not the price received

It is so predatory to prey on desperate owners of dying animals like this

And it is reall, unprofessional to act this way, too

The site is American, btw. so please Americans help with advice

I believe they are located in Texas

If they do not end up sending us anything, who can we report them to?

i wish more younger queers learned about the AIDS epidemic

i'm a 17 year old, ex-evangelical, queer and trans kid from the south; i never learned from the adults in my life about AIDS/HIV and my school didn't teach me either.

i became disabled when i was 13 and at the same time i was in a sort of an identity crisis about my sexuality and gender. i've always been a huge history and culture nerd so those were the first things i looked to in order to make sense of myself. i quickly learned about queer and trans icons of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. i learned about harvey milk, james baldwin, andy warhol, divine, freddie mercury, and jayne county. i learned about how monumental their lives were and how much of an impact they had on our culture. but i still hasn't even scratched the surface. in 2021 dan levy wore a david wojnarowicz inspired outfit and i started doing research on david. in my research about david, i learned about keith haring, and felix gonzalez-torres. i saw their art and absorbed the life inside of it. i started reading about AIDS/HIV and the medical history of it. about how disabling the condition was mentally and physically. how people with it were shamed and shunned. how people still live with the pain and stigma of the condition and how AIDS severely affects the disabled. my heart hurt.

in mid 2024, i watched the series fellow travelers. i was enthralled in the pain and love of it all. people who know me know that when i love something, i LOVE something. the character tim develops AIDS and then eventually kaposi's sarcoma. i didn't know you could get cancer on top of AIDS. you could see him fighting until his last breath. his passion and fire and feistiness never left even when he was at his sickest. witnessing the all consuming love story of tim and hawk and then seeing tim being dragged out of life was painful. knowing that the government at the time did absolutely nothing to help anyone with the condition broke my heart.

all of these things, along with learning later from my queer elders, put it into perspective for me about how much we are fighting for. i cherish my community so much more. my queer joy became radical in the face of politicians trying to take it away. seeing queer and trans people in public and in pictures through history brings me comfort and warmth. i've never had as a big of a smile on my face as when i was looking through a photo gallery of 80s dykes. i'm so fucking proud and grateful and thankful and loving of my community because of us. our existence is enough to keep the world running. our love and our pain are more important than we could ever imagine.

my gf and i have been struggling for a while, disease disability poverty etc etc, and sometime in that, our cat maggie got sick. bone sarcoma; she kept it entirely to herself until it was way too late. she stopped eating, then stopped being able to really move, at the end of june. even now i kind of have a hard time putting together the words to express how much she meant to me and how much i miss her.

dev gets hip surgery

realized i never actually made a post about this other than silly little afterthought ones. but here it goes- i'm officially having surgery on my hip the first half of june!

it's a pretty major surgery and the main objective is to remove a soft cell sarcoma they identified on an MRI

even with my insurance, it's going to be a large sum due up front in order to get the surgery and i am humbly, hesitantly, cautiously asking for help with this official post. initially, y'all have really come through and it's been such an amazing thing to see and be on the receiving end of. i'm so grateful for shares and support and donations received thus far, y'all have no idea how much it means to me that we are still capable of banding together to support each other despite recent drama

i'm still working as much as i can, but i am feeling the effects of everything and dealing with these issues for over a year now is catching up with me. 2 months of working and then filing for the necessary gov't aid will be all i'll have for the entirety of my 4-6 month recovery period- there are more details in the post below

I'm so fucking grateful for technodad bro

I think he is very aware of the power his son's name holds, and he uses it for good. Obviously, for raising money for the Sarcoma Foundation and the One of Us Fondation. But also, in more subtle ways.

Other than the obvious faking, the main criticism of Daquavis was the technoblade short. Instead of emphasizing it, or even just ignoring it and letting the hate fester on its own, Technodad seems to have talked with Daquavis and given him the ability to redeem himself. Both directly for the short by letting him help make a short for the technoblade channel and generally by endorsing/being involved with the duel.

He also used it to calm the tensions between the communities within the technoblade one. As far as I can tell, at least there the disparate parts of the community can peacefully coexist (with technodad's help). He is creating a space where people can be safe and are expected to be kind.

I'm just. so glad he's here.

My younger daughter Helena is doing a 10km run to raise money for the hospital where I have been treated for the last ten years for leiomyosarcoma, a rare type of cancer. I know money is tight and there are so many worthy causes, but I'd be very grateful for any small donations.

My children were 4, 7 and 9 when I was first diagnosed. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the time to see them grow and be here for them. My treatment options are slowly diminishing, but I'm determined to be here for them as long as I can.

How tiny can they go? I'm having a blast making these throwback 90s keychain lizard bracelets with the smallest possible seed beads -- these are size 15/0, about 1mm each!

Bey is doing well after her biopsy! Her histopathology results came back today, and she has a malignant grade I soft tissue sarcoma. The vet feels confident that her prognosis is good as long as the vet can easily remove a tumor of this size (it's about three inches in diameter). The rate of recurrence is less than 10% for a grade I tumor, so we have high hopes for a good outcome. Send Bey some love and well wishes for her (soon to be scheduled) surgery!

Saving VooDoo Emergency Commissions/Fundraiser!

My sweet, wonderful kitty, VooDoo, has been diagnosed with FISS (Feline Injection Site Sarcoma), which the doctor referred to as, "The most evil cancer a cat can get". As of right now, she has been given only a few months to live, as the tumor has grown at a rapid rate and surgery is not an option due to its location and size.

However, the doctor truly believes that with radiation treatment, she will be able to live for a few more YEARS, and with treatment, she will have a better quality of life in that time, rather than rapidly declining and withering away before summer.

That being said, radiation treatment is expensive. Like, $2,800 expensive, after I max out my credit cards, which I am already willing to do. There's no way I will be able to pay the rest of that myself. That's why I'm putting this out on every social media site I have: I will do commissions until my hands bleed if it means giving her this fighting chance. Arthritis and everything else be damned, I will write or draw anything. So long as it's not illegal, I will approve ALL commission requests.
