Ohhh, has anyone requested for Shelly or Vee yet? I love playing as them, haha, Shelly will always be my favorite though! It makes me feel comforted since I relate to her so painfully much. I would love to talk with her about dinosaurs or just spend time with her, just anything hhhh!!

Please make sure to take your time writing these requests! It can be draining so please take breaks and take care of yourself! You can also deny this if you want. I love your work so much! <3 It's a fun idea to imagine the characters hearing us! Especially when we start to tweak out or even silently yell at our screen or anything like that I know I do that too much hahaha-

Actually I've been hoping to write for Shelly and Vee! This is gonna be a drabble that's a fair bit different from the other drabbles I made so far, hehe.

Game Show of Love

When Shelly learnt she was your second favorite, she was happy.

But a good bit disappointed. What do you mean 'second favorite'?

Didn't you love dinosaurs? So why wasn't she your first favorite? Why was it Glisten?

Would her only being number 2 in your heart mean you would forget her too? Just like how everyone else did?

So she did what she could to figure out how to talk to you. To ask you if you would ever forget her.

And to ask what your favorite dinosaur is, hehe.

So she began searching. At first she thought she could use the Roblox chat...

But after what happened last time they tried that... yeah, no.

So she went elsewhere.

And then she found your phone number.

And she wanted to try it. So she went searching and found someone else, someone they couldn't hear, who rarely used their phone. Especially not for texting.

Then she tried to contact you.

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: Hello?

You: Who is this

Shelly panicked. What if you blocked her? She saw blocked numbers on this phone, mostly scammers... oh no! What if you thought she was a scammer?!

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: It's complicated.

You: Wdym

Shelly hesitated. Should she explain everything? Would you believe her? Should she just ask the question she was dying to ask??

...

Shelly shook her head and decided to try something.

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: I'm someone who's going through a bunch of different phone numbers to try to find someone I can talk about dinosaurs to.

She thought for a moment and quickly sent another message.

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: I'm not a scammer, I swear!

You: Isnt there better ways to yap to people about dinosaurs?

You: Like on tumblr or smth?

Shelly panicked, terrified you may block her.

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: I mean I could. But on here there's no ads and stuff.

You: Dont people think your a scammer tho

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: Sometimes they do. Then they just block me. But I just want to talk about dinosaurs!

You: Send me a dinosaur fact.

Shelly's breath hitched.

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: Wait, really?

You: Ye

You: I love dinos

You: Yap to me about them rn

You: Pls

Shelly almost squealed.

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: Of course!

You: Also what should I call ya?

(xxx) xxx - xxxx: My name's Shelly!

You: I'm [Name].

Shelly froze, staring at your name.

Your name... She was the first one to learn your real name.

You gave her your name.

She couldn't hide her thrilled grin. Even if no one else could see it.

As Shelly texted you, Vee was busy figuring out information about you.

She ran a gameshow for crying out loud! Clearly, more Toons would be interested if she had some trivia about you thrown in there.

But then it spiraled into something more.

Gaining knowledge about you started off small. Things you mentioned in game. Such as your favorite Toons.

It annoyed her she wasn't one of your favorites.

Or the fact you owned a cat.

He seemed awfully clingy too. Oh, and she already knew his name is Blaze. Even if you called him 'Kitty' often.

But then she grew frustrated. You didn't mention enough about yourself when you were playing! How was she supposed to make trivia about you now?

So she began searching.

And figured out how to leave the game. Then how to leave Roblox on devices.

Specifically your device.

She didn't notice nor care that Shelly did it first.

No one noticed Shelly could leave because they never noticed she was gone.

Then Vee found the microphone function on your phone. Then she connected herself to it.

And suddenly...

She could hear it all.

She heard you talk, even when you weren't playing the game. If you had your phone on you, she could hear.

That's when her spiral truly started to occur.

Just like with Astro, she grew a soft spot for you.

She learnt of everything. From your favorite food to your primary mode of transportation.

And she saved every fact she learned about you to her database. In the span of a month at most, she probably knew you better than you knew yourself.

And it wasn't just the microphone she used for information. She went through your photos, your search history. Meticulously finding any bit of info she could gather.

Unfortunately, though, she couldn't use the camera. Since she could only risk searching around your phone for information when you weren't on it, she was never able to turn on your camera and look at you.

This fact frustrated her to no end, but she had to deal with it.

She kept searching through your phone, one day managing to find your text messages and started to go through them.

Hm? Who's this in your contacts? 'Shelly'? What a strange coincidence...

...and this Shelly spoke to you often about dinosaurs? Hm...

She'd need to keep an eye on this...

Shelly was thrilled.

In a month she managed to become one of your best friends!

Of course she was living a lie, but she didn't care!

To you, she was your silly, dinosaur-loving online friend who you were able to share anything with!

And as time went on, she got more comfortable with you.

And got more and more in love...

She started taking more risks.

For example, she pretended to be a player of Dandy's World, talking about how funny it was she was so similar to the Shelly in game. At least personality-wise!

If only you knew...

Tisha knew of this.

She didn't mind.

In fact, sometimes she would even be able to talk with you when she wasn't busy.

And just like Shelly, Tisha kept the fact she could talk with you directly a secret. As well as keeping the fact she was a Toon private from you.

And eventually, she managed to get enough confidence to sort-of ask her question.

Shelly: Random question, but why are your favorite Toons your favorite?

You: You mean my top three?

Shelly: Yeah

You: Well... I like Glisten because he's a lot like me in a sense. I try to maintain stability and confidence even though I hate myself. And his Twisted form is a cutie pie that made me realize he needs all the hugs.

Shelly: But you're great tho!

You: So a lot of people say lol

You: I like Shelly since she deserves better, I too love dinosaurs, her design for both her toon form and her twisted form, and her lore makes her deserve all the hugs too.

You: And Shrimpy Boy is just a silly man lol

Shelly: Why's Shelly lower than Glisten?

You: I haven't told you yet?

You: mb

You: She's very slightly lower because I HATE the confusion debuff and I like Twisted Glisten's concept a lot. Otherwise the two are basically tied lol.

Shelly: So you utterly adore her?

You: Fully and completely!

Shelly squealed from glee.

You, her favorite person, loved her! The only reason she was lower than Glisten was because of some tiny things she couldn't really change. You thought she was basically perfect!

You loved her as much as she loved you!

Then Vee has to ruin it.

"Shelly... what the f■■■?"

Vee stormed closer. One hand was balled into a fist. The other held her microphone so tightly that if she had blood, her hand would turn white.

"You've been talking with the player for over a month now? You could talk directly to her, and you didn't tell anyone?!"

Shelly gritted her teeth. "I did! I tried to tell you! None of you listened to me when I tried to talk! Not even you or Tisha!"

Vee's screen glitched, and never has she been more annoyed that- despite the fact she was a video game character and thus most of her lore wasn't really real, with her being a gameshow host only real because she went out of her way and did that the moment she figured out private servers- she had a censor over all swear words. Because she had a lot she would like to say.

The two stood opposing one another in Shelly's room, where Vee stormed in the moment she put all the pieces together.

She was by no means Rodger, but even the mystery of the Shelly in your contacts list wasn't too hard to solve.

And both were in their Twisted forms. So if this would become a physical fight, it would get messy very quickly.

"Can you blame me for giving up?" Shelly asks, "All basically ANY of you do is ignore me! The only one who doesn't is Tisha! And half the time you forget I exist! Anyways, YOU also told no one about the fact you figured out how to leave the game too! That YOU figured out so much of your information about them by violating their privacy!"

"What I did is different from what you did." Vee curtly replies, standing tall. "You were contacting them directly. Playing a lie the entire time."

"At least I wasn't going through private photos and search history." Shelly growls back, "Do you know how humans can be embarrassed by people looking through those things? Or do you ignore what privacy is just like how you ignore me? At least until you need something from me, you BITCH."

Vee scowls, slightly startled at Shelly swearing for the first time since... practically ever.

"This is why they don't like you." Shelly continues, "I'm one of their favorites. ME. Not you. So stop violating [Name]'s privacy and stop caring about the fact I talk to them."

"...say that again." Vee orders suddenly, screen glitching for a moment as she processed what Shelly said in the blink of an eye. "That word... [Name]."

"That's their name." Shelly says. "They told me it. Directly. Because I didn't violate them as much as you did!"

"I am not violating them." Vee retorts, processing your name. One of the few pieces of information she knew, but reeled from hearing come out of the mouth of someone who was speaking to her for the first time. "But now ...I have an idea."

"What is it now?" Shelly asks, pissed.

"...It involves you directly," Vee says, "How would you like to practically guarantee yourself a prize in one of my gameshows? The grand prize."

Shelly just stares at Vee, raising an eyebrow slighty.

"And the grand prize..." Vee says, suddenly smirking, "Is [Name]'s love."

The grand prize being offered brought every Toon to the gameshow.

Not everyone was participating. Many were simply in the audience, due to the extra promise of a special prize given to any Toon who was simply there.

The gameshow was split into a tournament. Two toons would compete to move onto the next catagory, and the final two would compete for the grand prize.

Practically everyone was a little stunned when Shelly was a contestant.

Especially when Shelly started to crush anyone who went against her in the trivia.

And they were even more stunned when Vee started asking trivia questions they had no idea how she found out. Even Rodger didn't know this much information, and he was carefully documenting every bit of information he heard you mention when playing. Or others talking to you that they mentioned when playing.

And when people were eliminated? They were a good bit annoyed at losing the opportunity for your heart, but stayed for the special prize.

Eventually it just got to Dandy and Shelly. And Shelly won.

Shelly won by saying your name.

They all loved your name.

Dandy barely held himself toegther when Vee declared the winner to be Shelly. But he stayed. Especially when Vee stood on top of the podium, grinning.

Even if the two hated eachother, Dandy wanted that secret prize.

"Well, now that that's wrapped up." Vee says, twirling her mic, "I know all of you want the secret prize, yes? Even though Shelly has all the right to our beloved player's heart, that doesn't mean you all will just forget about them, mhm?"

"Just get to the point..." Dandy mutters, gritting his teeth.

Vee smirks. "Well, what if I told you that all of you could talk to them? Directly to them. No more little incidents due to the chat, but to them."

Everyone froze, staring up at the gameshow host. It was more silent than when everyone learned your name.

Your name was beautiful.

Your voice was beautiful.

They all loved you.

They all loved your voice.

"Now, all contestants and audience members of this Gameshow of Love, would you all like to learn what a phone number is?

Beware of mosabsdr (and scammers pretending to be from Palestine)

Remember the response post that I've made to mosabsdr? Well, apparently, I was deceived by mosabsdr the whole time.

Please note that I have nothing against actual and innocent Palestinians, but I made this post to spread awareness against a notorious serial inbox scammer and spammer pretending to be from the same country as them.

One day, @greenpop (thanks for letting me know that mosabsdr is a scammer) told me on my previous post about his ask that he is a scammer pretending to be from Palestine, who managed to buy a verified badge from tumblr themselves and has been called out by people from all walks of life for spamming their inbox in order to ask for 90k USD on their chuffed.org campaign.

Additionally, it was revealed that according to nonaferatu, mosabsdr had other blogs, including abedmajeed and nasergz, all with the same intent of scamming others like you out of your well-earned money.

Actually, I've encountered and seen several scams throughout my entire life, including a few Kickstarter scams like Chronicles of Elyria, and nothing angers me more than scammers profiting from the money of people living in unfortunate situations around the world.

If you're one of mosabsdr's victims, please let me know so that we can avoid fraudsters like mosabsdr that are profiting from the situation people in places like Palestine and my home island, are currently in, and not only that, please block him and all of his associated accounts.

UPDATE (as of April 23rd, 2025):

Shortly after this post was made, mosabsdr tried to reach out to me, trying to do damage control by trying to twist the narrative and lie his way around this situation, but I don't care so I deleted his ask and blocked his ass.

UPDATE (as of April 26th, 2025):

Ah shit, here we fucking go again, with an another scammer called nadinfamily, trying to profit from the unfortunate situations actual Palestinians are currently in, by doing the exact same thing as mosabsdr, this time pretending to be a woman named Nadin living in Gaza. >:-(

UPDATE (as of May 9th, 2025):

Another day, an another scammer. How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, scammer guy? So, I checked his chuffed campaign and wait a second, the math ain't mathing here.

Turns out, the organizer has the same name as mosabsdr, so we know that it's already him, and is asking for 90k USD. Please do not fall for this organized fraud ring and do not donate money to his campaigns in any way.

Additionally, I have reported the chuffed campaign and you should all do the same as well.

UPDATE (as of May 23rd, 2025):

nasr-daher replied to my post this afternoon, trying to damage control by trying to twist the narrative while harassing and gaslighting me in the comments. Here's my response to each of them below the replies:

"Nice try nasr-daher, but no, you're the one who's spreading false info and useless efforts against me and the other vigilante tumblr users who warned others about your scams while harassing and gaslighting them into believing your lies. Additionally, what you're doing is identity theft, as you used the real names of actual innocent Palestinians who are in unfortunate situations due to an ongoing genocide in their own country.

Btw, my speech is 100% correct, from what I can find from other testimonies from other Tumblr users who were victims of your scam.

And no, I didn't contact your so-called "uncle" Mosab, as it's obviously yourself, and verify it with him cuz he's a scammer.

However, people on Tumblr already knew the truth about you and we don't believe. Besides, the so-called "some of gazavetters admins" are also scammers too.

Also, you're not deeply sorry with that stupid sob story, as your shitty manipulative guilt-tripping ahh tactics don't work on me cuz I am one of the actual survivors of a major disaster which had destroyed most of the infrastructure in where I live and nearby countries 5 months ago, and right now, I only think about one of my lifelong dreams to graduate from high school."

Honestly, from what I can find so far about nasr-daher, he continued to scam other people on here who can't afford most things due to the expensive costs of living in where they live. As a result, after he sent these comments, I immediately removed them and blocked his ass again.

Turns out, according to nonaferatu, there's a theory that the mosabsdr/nasr-daher scammer has stolen the identity of an actual guy, who had a now-defunct GoFundMe fundraiser that had the original goal of 20k euros (equivalent to 22k USD as of writing) and was linked to a now-defunct blog under the name of mssb9996.

Additionally, he had found a verified account with the defunct GoFundMe with the title of "Help me saving who's left of my family" and took over.

Here's the screenshots of the now-defunct GoFundMe fundraiser below, thanks to the Wayback Machine.

According to the description of the defunct GoFundMe, Mosab was a 28-year-old man, who despite being married to his 22-year-old wife (who despite him claiming that she's 21, when in fact she was already 22 at the time when this GoFundMe was originally launched taking to account that she was born in February 2002), with whom he had a 5-month-old daughter named Amani, has gone through a lot in his life, having lost most of his extended family except for his dad and other brother, despite having his own family by his side.

However, somewhere in between late 2024 and early 2025, way before I posted my response to mosabsdr's ask and the GoFundMe was deleted, the title was changed to "Help Mosab saving who's left of his family" while the organizer was changed to a certain Mohamad S, who claimed to be good friends with his neighbor Mosab, and the wording was written in the third-person perspective, except that there are typos that I pointed out with a yellow highlighter.

If you have any more information about the mosabsdr situation, please let me know.

the gofundme and especially the chuffed asks are all scams, I'm sorry. Please support Palestinian families by giving your money to legitimate charities like Anera rather than content farms stealing real people's stories and real people's pain.

I'm gonna try my best not to just tell you to kill yourself anon. I have been helping raise funds for the families in my pinned since last year. They have instagram pages, tiktok pages, they've included me in their insta group chat where they converse regularly with their donors and supporters. You can check these yourself if you want to, I tag these donation posts religiously, because I know there will be people like you who would wanna question their legitimacy. Browse the tags and see for yourself how well documented this family's story is before coming to my inbox to call them scams.

As for other Palestinian fundraisers, I seriously do not know where you people find the confidence to say this kind of blanket statements without a shred of proof to back it up, but I'm certain those "debunking" posts from big name tumblr users have had a huge part in giving you the audacity. I have neither the time nor energy to rehash the same arguments countering those posts that have been made by other users more eloquent than me, but know that I've had experience busting tumblr scammers myself, and one thing I absolutely refused to do when I was still actively doing it, was call someone a scammer without solid, undeniable proof.

So my point is, mahiya naman kayo sa akin, mga putang ina ninyo.

So, how many of you are also getting this? I get them almost every day. Just recently I started to screenshot them to compare if the "sender" is the same as many of them looked very similar. Half a year ago there were usually named accounts, but I used to report and block them, then just was deleting their posts in my inbox.

Then all of them turned into anonymous bots. And I started to report them again. I suspect this is how they add you to their bot data base or something like that. Under this post there are hundreds of people mentioned.

I got mentioned like this couple of times before, right after I reported several named accounts. The reason why I am so stern with these scammers is because I know how they look like in my home country, Ukraine, where I spent most of my life, with its coup, civil war and during the 9 first months of the 2022 war. I understand what tactics they are using, what tear-jerking words they are writing (with an audacity to use sad emojis in a "cry for help") and how they are taking photos of soiled kids telling them to look more miserable and doe-eyed - it all will evoke pity to manipulate protective instincts in many kind-hearted people so they would give the scammers money. These guys flooded Tumblr to the brim, as Tumblr is full of impressionable young people and young people are the easiest to manipulate because of their natural pursuit of justice. You can look at any revolution to undestand how dirty it was. Any war is complex and not entirely black-and-white. If you want to know the causes and reasons, do your research. It's not the best to listen to the loudest, because most of the time they are screaming over the quite truth. Yes, stay true to your morals, but don't let your emotions blind you. A certain dose of cynicism and mistrust is sometimes more helpful than a sea of sympathy tears shed.

For context, sometimes some people from Gaza use my inbox to promote their own pages in hope for me to either donate money to them myself or post their messages in my blog in hope it’ll attract someone who might donate money for them. Until now, I’ve been deleting them all since they were very rare and this page is supposed to be a break from everything related to reality. But recently, this happened to me again, but in a way larger scale than I would ever expect it to happen.

Although I do have a rule on my profile that says politics are prohibited in my inbox (and it still is) because this is supposed to be a page where I can express my creativity while escaping my real life a bit, while others enjoy my writing while escaping their own lives too, I can’t help but feel horrible about deleting these messages. So, I’ll do my bit in this conflict and make this thread tagging these accounts.

Do I think I’m doing a lot? No, and that’s not my intention because I still do want to keep this page very politically inactive, but at the same time I don’t want to be fully inactive in this conflict either.

I will not be posting the actual messages. I’ll still delete them. But I will be tagging all their usernames here whenever they send me a message.

Heads up, I've turned off the anon asks because of all the spammers/scammers. The first real ask in my inbox is like a dozen asks down and is from a week ago because I keep deleting and blocking all the spam and then run out of energy to answer anything. There are like six from just the past day. There's no way these are real people unless they're switching their IP every couple of hours so that they can send some more identical asks to people who are actively ignoring them. Donate to Doctors Without Borders or Gaza Soup Kitchen instead.

Hopefully I'll have the willpower to respond to actual asks again soon.

So I just came back to tumblr after a few months and had lots of those copy pasted paypal scam faux gaza things. That's... whatever, I've disabled my ask box. No friend shaped people were using it anyways. But I don't know how they found me, since a lot were sent by anonymous posters (copy pasted with little emojis) and my account is only viewable by people who are part of tumblr and logged in, and not searchable by search engines. Do you know why this happens? How would a scammer be able to access an account that's behind a log in? And then why ask as an anonymous?

I sadly can't give you a definitive answer as to how/why this happens, I myself don't 100% know how they do it. But, I think I have an idea as to how it happens?

I myself have had it happen more than my fair share of times on my main blog, @slenbee, and every time I get an ask like that now I just report, block, and delete the DM (always report in a new tab first if on PC otherwise the ask will get shadow blocked in your inbox and it'll show you have an ask in the lower right hand corner ((on desktop)) and it'll be irritating lol.) BUT that's besides the point.

I've noticed, as someone who's been here since 2014, that a lot of people who send asks looking for help for their campaign in general (the non-anon kind mind you), will usually- in one shape or form- comment on or reblog popular posts with 10k>100k notes advertising their campaign.

A few examples are as follows:

My theory, is that they use the reblog list to then DM and send asks to people. The copy-paste anons probably do the same.

So, again, my theory is that- if you rebloged a popular post that has 1k,5k,10k, or even 100k+ notes, it's highly likely someone went through the list of reblogs or likes, found your name, and then sent you an ask.

Keep in mind that Gazavetters has openly stated that any kind of spam/bot activity will not be tolerated. This also includes threatening, guilt tripping, and begging people in asks/DM's to donate. Their statement can be found here:

I think it's safe to assume that if any mutual aid blog that's vetted by a trusted group other than gazavetters, like those supported and vetted by the user el-shab-hussein (who is highly reputable and is trusted amongst us scam bloggers!), starts sending you DM's/asks that try to manipulate, guilt trip, or threaten you into giving them money, you should let them know immediately with proof of such.

The same with if they spam your asks on anon if you blocked them, start making 50+ accounts and send you asks repeatedly after you've blocked 5-10 already, and/or use alt accounts just to @ you in the comments of a post constantly.

I'm pretty sure that kind of behavior won't be tolerated and is seen as spam/bot behavior and possibly even a scam-like tactic.

Again it bares repeating: I will never, ever call a mutual aid blog with a campaign, be it gofundme, chuffed, ect, a scam.

I will never do this.

Why? Because a vast majority of mutual aid accounts, are not, in fact, scams. They're not. Whomever you 'heard' this from or 'saw' post about it saying "all mutual aid blogs are scammers!"? Is wrong.

If you think they are scams, then sit down, take an hour to do your own research like reverse image searching, contacting whom they're vetted by, or even contacting them. If you can do alllll that and prove it's a scam? Then you have a valid argument. Show proof to the vetters and the rest of tumblr it's a scam and people like me will make a post about it.

But do not go spouting nonsense like: 'all mutual aid blogs are a scam cause <website> doesn't work in gaza'. or 'how can they be on tumblr when they're at war', 'how can they hurdehur-'.🤓

Just stop. If you want to know how that rumor started? Here you go.

Anyways...

Repeated spam behavior or block evasion? If someone keeps dming or sending you asks after you've told them to stop or you blocked them? That shouldn't be tolerated by anyone. If it keeps happening, report it.

Spam is spam, it's literally in Tumblr's Guidelines when you sign up:

Don't spam people. Don't make spammy posts, don't post spammy replies, don't send people spammy messages. Be a regular human.

As far as the guilt tripping and threats go... I've experienced this myself first hand. Several times. And I've seen it happen to others too many times. It's why I don't share campaigns anymore on my main blog unless I know they're from a trusted source.

No one deserves to be threatened or guilt tripped if you told someone "no", "I can't donate but I'll share.", or "I can't donate at all, sorry.". No means no. If people can't respect that and they keep pushing, then that's harassment.

If it gets real bad? Report it to the right people.

Even if that means tumblr.
