I feel like if I had to make Psychesoma a Bad Ending/Optimistic character, they’d either be a seedlet or boxkite.
#char speaks#I don’t knowww#Psychesoma#OH. or how about a seedlet and boxkite TOGETHER#It’s all coming together. Psyche is the boxkite and Soma is the seedlet

Sabine’s story you say? 👀👀👀
Ah yes, the elusive secret sabine's-backstory fic I slowly but surely chisel at on the rare occasion I have writing motivation. No promises on ever finishing it but I will publish at least some of it eventually I prommy
Here's one of my favorite snippets so far (below cut). Plus a lil illustration bc for a while this scene was burning through my skull but I couldn't seem to write it so I drew it instead.
Another snippet here, since two people asked about this :)

Sabine didn't know what she expected to see when she eventually picked her way to the bottom of the ramp, but it certainly wasn't a vast expanse of rolling golden plains, rippling in the wind like the pelt of a massive beast. Near certain she was hallucinating, she pulled her helmet off, forced to squint against the brightest sunlight she'd seen in months. Between endless night jobs on planets with filthy atmospheres divided only by days in hyperspace, the sensation was nearly alien.
Sabine felt the warmth on her skin and stared down at her hands, transfixed by the sun painting her skin in fiery gold, and the fierce yet gentle warmth of fire she hadn't felt in so long it hurt. For a moment she could have been sitting on her father's knee as a little girl, watching her mother work the forge, in the dead of a bitter winter. When the sun hadn't shown through the storm clouds for weeks, and the heat and amber light of the forge felt like her family's own little sun that would keep them warm and safe until summer.
Tears pricked at her eyes, something like homesickness swelling in her chest. This sun felt like summer in some distant past, illustrated in children's stories, the only place Sabine thought so much grass existed until now. The oceans of grass that once covered Mandalore's steppes, long before Sabine was born, long before endless war tore her homeland apart. Only stories, she'd thought. How could there possibly be so much unscorched land on one planet? All of the galaxy Sabine had seen so far was scarred and torn and mined far beyond any planet's capacity to survive. But not here it seemed, not yet.
It can't be real, Sabine thought.
She had to be dreaming. It sure felt like a dream, her head felt like it was floating and her movements seemed to lag far behind her. She wasn't holding her helmet anymore, couldn't remember setting it down. She didn't recall taking steps off the ship's ramp into the grass either, yet now it was brushing against her knees, leaving clinging seedlets on the weathered fabric of her borrowed clothes. Sabine reached down to touch it and her legs buckled.
Definitely not a dream. The cuts on her knees still stung as they hit the ground, her hands and ribs and head still ached. And the grass wasn't nearly as soft as she thought it would be, the stiff fronds bent and crunched beneath her. Not a dream. Just more exhaustion. Sabine knew she wasn't getting back up again, her body felt so heavy. But maybe, for right now, that was okay. Maybe, for a little while, there was nothing to run from.
She didn’t remember lying down, but the soft wind whispered through the delicate wall of grass that now surrounded and concealed her, thin dancing shadows making the sunlight flicker over her face. For the first time since the day she'd run, the unyielding pull of unconsciousness felt less like snapping jaws dragging her under, and more like a familiar and welcome embrace. And for once, she didn't fight it.

tourbillon's pilgrimage was a slow, spiraling one. days and nights melted into winters and summers, which melted into countless years that flew right by him. this did not trouble him. on and on he went, dragging one spindly leg after the other. the green trench he left in his wake would spread across the landscape, growing often more quickly than tourbillon moved. and so he went, smearing spores and seedlets on cliff faces, watching the grass behind him burst into blossoms of red, yellow, orange, and white.

If it helps, anything that has -coccus (or -cocci) at the end is going to be a spherical micro-organism, since that's riffing off Latin riffing off Greek for a seed or berry.
(Yes, we gave all the wee round buddies who may or may not be trying to murder us an affectionate 'seedlet' suffix because they look like they're edible under the microscope. I love humans, sometimes)

Dont get me wrong I love Brothership's lil Seedlet guys but missed opportunity to have its Goomba variant (a staple in the series) be called Glohmba/Gohmba
#tagless behavior#m&l brothership#Glohmba could even be clever foreshadowing since you see the guys LONG before Glohm is ever introduced.

Madomi Rin: Idunn Diva Galz
Let's dive into the backstory of Madomi Rin, also known as Idunn Diva Galz, building on the foundation of Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble and creating a unique counterpart to Etsuna Mizoe!
Origin Story & Motivation
Madomi Rin was once a highly respected music therapist, specializing in using sound frequencies and natural harmonies to heal emotional and physical ailments. Unlike Etsuna, who sought catharsis through performance, Madomi believed in the quiet, restorative power of sound. She meticulously studied ancient tonal systems and their effects on the human spirit, often working with individuals suffering from deep-seated trauma or chronic stress.
However, Madomi grew increasingly frustrated with the limitations of conventional therapy. She encountered cases where emotional wounds were so profound, or external negative energies so overwhelming, that her methods could only offer temporary relief. She yearned for a way to create lasting restoration, to truly "mend" what was broken.
Her search led her to an obscure, forgotten library, where she discovered texts detailing a mythical artifact: the "Verdant Resonance Driver." This device, unlike anything she had ever seen, was said to draw power from the very life force of the world, translating it into pure, healing sound. Through a series of dedicated, almost obsessive, research and a chance encounter with a hidden nexus of natural energy, Madomi managed to activate the Verdant Resonance Driver.
Now, as Idunn Diva Galz, Madomi fights to "Restore and Renew." She sees the conflicts and disharmony in the world, including those perpetuated by other Riders, as spiritual ailments that need healing. In the Climax Scramble game, she might engage in battles not out of aggression, but to neutralize chaotic energies, purify corrupted spaces, or even "recharge" the life force of the environment, subtly influencing the battlefield. She would be drawn to areas of significant energetic imbalance.
Climax Scramble Gameplay Archetype
Idunn Diva Galz is a Support/Healer-oriented Rider with Defensive and Debuffing capabilities. Her fighting style is graceful and protective, utilizing flowing movements and sound waves that can both defend allies and subtly weaken opponents.
Key Abilities & Forms (Climax Scramble Integration)
* Verdant Resonance Driver: Her transformation belt, which emanates a soft, natural glow and a gentle, pulsing hum when activated.
* Aura Seedlets (Gimmick): Small, seed-like capsules that glow with various organic colors. Each Seedlet contains a concentrated "aura" of natural energy (e.g., Forest Aura, River Aura, Earth Aura), granting her different restorative or protective abilities. She "plants" these into the Driver to activate forms and powers.
* Base Form: "Galz Bloom"
* Appearance: Her armor has a softer, more organic aesthetic, with flowing lines and subtle leaf-like patterns. Her helmet incorporates a stylized budding flower or a gentle wave motif. Lighter, more natural color palette (greens, light blues, soft browns).
* Fighting Style: Primarily defensive and counter-attacking. She uses flowing movements to evade and parry, generating gentle sonic pulses to push back opponents or create minor disruptions.
* Signature Attack: "Life Wave Pulse" - Releases a circular, low-frequency sound wave that can push back enemies, or, if used on an ally, provide a small, temporary boost to their defense or health recovery rate (a unique support mechanic in Climax Scramble).
* Form Change: "Galz Genesis" (Accessed via "Vitality Seedlet")
* Appearance: Armor becomes slightly more robust, with more prominent flowing patterns resembling tree roots or branching veins. Her chest piece might glow with a soft, warm light.
* Abilities: Enhanced healing and protective capabilities. She can generate stronger, more resilient sound barriers and create small, localized healing zones. Her attacks can briefly "regenerate" a portion of her own or an ally's health.
* Signature Attack: "Sustaining Melody" - Projects a field of resonating sound that continuously restores a small amount of health to herself and nearby allies for a short duration. For enemies, it might slightly drain their stamina or slow their movement (a rare debuff).
* Form Change: "Galz Serenity" (Accessed via "Tranquility Seedlet")
* Appearance: Her armor takes on a calmer, almost ethereal appearance, with subtle, shimmering effects. Her helmet might feature a more open, almost meditative design.
* Abilities: Focuses on disruption and pacification. She can create disorienting soundscapes that confuse enemies, reduce their attack power, or briefly incapacitate them by inducing a state of "overwhelming calm."
* Signature Attack: "Soothing Resonance" - Emits a focused, high-frequency tone that can briefly stun a single enemy, or, if charged, creates an area-of-effect "pacification zone" that reduces enemy attack power within it.
Ultimate Attack (Climax Scramble Finisher)
* "Idunn's Grand Rejuvenation": Idunn Diva Galz radiates a field of pure, natural energy, causing the ground around her to briefly blossom with light. She then generates a massive, swirling vortex of restorative sound, which can draw in and purify chaotic energies from multiple opponents. The finisher culminates in a powerful, gentle wave of sound that bathes the battlefield, completely neutralizing enemy buffs while providing significant health regeneration and temporary defense boosts to herself and any allies. Visually, it would be less of an explosive attack and more of a grand, purifying expulsion of energy.
Personality & Traits
Madomi is calm, composed, and deeply empathetic. She approaches conflict with a therapeutic mindset, aiming to resolve rather than merely defeat. She often speaks in soothing tones and uses botanical or natural metaphors. Her weakness might be her aversion to causing direct harm, which could make her less effective in head-on aggressive confrontations, or her reliance on the environment's "life force" for some of her stronger abilities, making her weaker in barren or corrupted zones.
How does Idunn Diva Galz compare to Calibur Diva Galz in your vision? Do you see them as allies, rivals, or perhaps even a harmonious duo in the Climax Scramble world?

there's one point where two people smash tumbleweeds in their own faces. It's both the funniest and the worst thing I've ever seen.
I have kicked a tumbleweed. I was just bored and trying to get it to roll. My foot went straight through it. All those seeds were like a thousand little teeth digging into my skin. To get it out, I had to yank my leg back against the spines a second time. I limped home with seedlets jabbing me in the calf. It's horribly painful and it throbs. Like fuck that shit, can you imagine those two old people smashing their whole faces into one of those things? I'd revolt.
I've been watching through The Outer Limits (Season 2, 1963). Whoever is writing this shit is not very good. Half of the time it's a story that has been stretched far too long; the other half of the time, it's a bunch of premises that never pay off. For example, they'll introduce a secret doorway to the basement and never use it.
The monsters are fucking great though. There's an electrical gingerbread man named Eck who I want to be friends with. There are some Gyarados-looking sharks that live on Mars and there is a Hate Ghost that haunts a miniature planet. The hate ghost is a man's hands stretched inside of pantyhose to make it look like some kind of gray alien-faced squid. The Hate Ghost (Hate Squid? It's more ghost than squid) is hilarious and I love it, especially when it charges the camera like OOOOOH oh no it's the hands ghost ooooooo
Rubber and paper-mache is plentiful, and I have never seen so much pantyhose used in special effects at any time in my life.
The only downside is that I'm never sure if they actually hurt animals or not. Nobody gave a single fuck about animal welfare in the 1960s. At one point they pelt a pair of old people with frogs and I was legitimately concerned. Pretty sure they killed at least one of them. And two guinea pigs and a canary. Jesus. Don't kill things for your shitty sci-fi show.
It's also weirdly progressive. They've got more than one POC with a substantial part, including a black astronaut and a Japanese college instructor, both treated with the utmost respect. If you're a woman, sorry, but hey, baby steps.
In short--the stories may be shit but the show is fascinating on several levels. I recommend a watch if only to scream at the philologist in episode one.

C&A is a neobotanics and nooscionics lab. In other words, they grow and train sophont AIs, “seedlets,” and design software and hardware to interface organic minds with digital systems.
It’s a small enough company to draw little suspicion, but credible enough to be contracted by big name operations (mainly military).
They accidentally trapped a person in a noospace, the “noosciocircus,” with Caine, a seedlet grown and owned by C&A. He’s a well meaning seedlet, tasked to keep the trapped person sane as C&A keeps their body alive as long as possible.
In an effort to recover the person from the inside, they sent in another only to trap them as well. Their cumulating mistake becomes harder to pull the plug on as it would kill both the trapped and Caine, an expensive investment who just also happens to be relaying immensely valuable nootic data from his ongoing simulation.
C&A continues to send agents to assist the trapped from within, each with relevant skills. They’re getting a bit desperate, since the pool of candidates is limited to those who work with C&A and would not draw too much attention if gone missing.
So, the noosciocircus becomes testing ground for lesser semiohazards.
Semiohazards are stimuli that trigger a destructive response in the minds of perceivers. Semiohazards can be encoded into any medium, but are generally easiest to encode into sights and air pressure sequences. The effect, “a mulekick,” can range in severity from temporarily disabled breathing, to seizure, to brain death.
Extreme amputations (“truncations”) occur when a trapped agent ingests a semiohazard that shuts off the brain’s recognition of some body part as its own. Sieving is a last resort to permanently mechanically support the life of the trapped. Thanks to modern advancements, this is cheap and sustainable. Those overexposed to the hazards become the abstracted and are considered lost. Their bodies are kept alive for archival.
Semiohazards being a current hotspot of discovery and design means C&A is sending in semiotic specialists alongside programmers. Ragatha was sent in to provide the trapped with nootic endurance training, but she underestimated the condition of the trapped. Gangle, too, was sent to help the trapped navigate their new nootic state, but her own dealt avatar clotheslined her progress. She wasn’t too stable entering to begin with, but C&A’s options are limited.

“well hey there sugercube! Now just what where you doing outside my door this hour of the night?” You explain how you’ve gotten lost and need to head back to your guest room. You barely get out a sentence before you feel something crawling you.

“Ah! Those are my seedlet’s! I made them myself you see, perfect little creatures they are and smart too!” She seems really proud of these little guys as they chirp and climb all over you. They look like seed’s with comically fat legs and beady black eyes. Their strangely cute, like a old doll you used to have,

One of the Seedlets on the floor begins to yap and yammer wildly next to a table. Jumping up and down to get the scientist ladies attention. “What’s that dear? You found him! Oh just great, I was worried he would miss his injection!”

“Vivian dear, come out now, it’s not THAT bad!” Two swirly white eye’s stare back at you from under the table and you can hear the sound of leaves rustling.
