Nah jk I will continue to rewatch those scenes, that’s indeed one of my favorite episodes and Chase is my favorite Arrow villain. Third favorite Arrowverse villain. The absolute psychological warfare he waged on Oliver was INSANE and he was so awesome. Excellent whumper and I do wish we saw more of him.

Released on this day fifty years ago (11 November 1974): The End, the fourth studio album by heroin-ravaged German chanteuse, Moon Goddess and the countercultural Marlene Dietrich, Nico (Christa Paffgen, 1938 – 1988). The final (and bleakest) part of Nico’s essential trilogy of records encompassing The Marble Index (1968) and Desertshore (1970), its “terrorist songs” of violence and resistance were inspired by the activities of Germany's Baader-Meinhof Group. Hence the brutal imagery of warriors, gladiators, prisoners, hunters and knives in “It Has Not Taken Long” (“It has not taken long / To feast our naked eye upon / The open blade / The hungry beast / Have found her calling, calling / Help me, please”), “Secret Side” (“Without a guide, without a hand / Unwed virgins in the land  / Tied up on the sand …”) and Innocent and Vain (“I am a savage violator”). The End also represents a tribute to Nico’s “soul brother” and former lover Jim Morrison (it was her first album since his death): the title track is her interpretation of the Doors song and “You Forget to Answer” (one of the best things Nico ever did) is her eerie eulogy to him. albums I'm obsessing over now that it's crunchy leaf season

My autumn has not begun until I'm driving through my little rural town, watching the leaves whizzing past my car, listening to Between the Lines of Age. Also, the title track off of this album?! Hello?!

Another obvious choice, in my humble opinion. As a native New Englander, I too feel that Vermont is depressing as hell.

Girl from the North Country? Don't Think Twice, It's All Right? Oxford Town? Screaming, crying, throwing up. Every time it gets a little chilly outside, I retreat deeper into my coat and pretend I'm Bob Dylan.

I found her recently through the duet she did with Hozier, and absolutely fell in love with her voice. Sonnet 104 is pure sonic perfection. I was so floored by her Songbird cover as a Fleetwood Mac fan -- she sounds so similar to Christine here.

He's got some questionable politics, but by God that boy can play some jazz.

I adore the Beatles, and this is probably my all-time favorite album of theirs. Although, Run For Your Life is just a little terrifying. We'll just pretend it's a Halloween song.

George is definitely my favorite Beatle, sorry not sorry.

God everyone I love deeply like Nina Simone, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, Sinead O’ Connor, Jim Morrison, Sixto Rodriquez, Joni Mitchell, Hozier all sing with such passion and emotion and through that wisdom- they use their voices to speak in such a language of such incomparable clarity, that what every man experiences in soul but just simply needed deciphered for them. What once becomes oh so clear. They are angels as much as poets in the manner their truths falls from such a foreign tongue in the way it has never yet been expressed before, but surpasses need for mere words as sung in captive song. Their deep rooted feelings tie to the listener, leave a mark so deep in us and leave us forever changed. Those are my favorite artists of all.

📽️ Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005)

This is an action comedy with a romance side plot. It seems that this is a remake of a tv show from the 90s, but I like the lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers dynamic and it was new to me. The movie itself is very enjoyable, and it’s funny without being over the top. The action, on the other hand, especially at the end, is over the top and, at some points, excessive to the point of being ridiculous. However, that may be part of the point. Either way, I wouldn’t mind watching this again.

Sex/nudity: 4/10 (several implied sex scenes with partial nudity - as in we see before and after but not during, a dominatrix scene - again the actual act is not shown, several innuendoes and sexual references)

Language: 4/10 (one f-word, a lot of God’s name, some other cursing)

Violence: 8/10 (like I said - over the top with the violence, literally to much to list so I’m just going to say a lot)

Overall rating: 7/10
