THE MAYORAL (HAMPTONS HOME)

the lovely @llamabees expressed interest in downloading this house so here it is :3

as stated before, i take zero credit for the build itself - it is a replica of "hamptons home" by pixelglam for ts4...but ts3 style.

i was looking for a nice, not too egregiously big mansion to host a sim couple in the business & politics careers + kids + pets; i remembered this one i downloaded last summer for ts4 and thought it was perfect and easy enough to recreate.

it ended up looking kind of colonial style, exactly what i had in mind - the only difference in the floorplan is that i added a half bathroom downstairs.

called "the mayoral" because my gen 2 heir is currently mayor of riverview and this is her house ;)

since it comes straight from my gameplay it is crappily furnished, the upstairs especially.

it is what it is. i also forgot to add a pet bowl.

THE SPECS

since i was thinking "rich people property" i built it on a 64x64 lot (300 riverblossom hills drive in riverview) - there is a big empty space on the right hand-side of the house that i thought would be perfect as a little farm area, but i'm not there yet in my gameplay so i left it void.

there is a teeny bit of store content required (well, one thing is required-ish, the rest can be substituted). i'll specify below.

extremely minimal cc, i deleted the deletable and replaced the replaceable with in-game items.

as i said, the house is furnished sparsely to leave you freedom of customisation and bc i couldn't be bothered to make it pretty for u, i'm sorry i'm lazy ;__;

There were a lot of things Casper had to get used to when he had his newfound freedom from being a reaper of souls. Many of which he happily shared with you.

Whether it was going through old manga that you had stored on your shelves that he read in his free time, or watching old animation films you bought for him to entertain himself with. Some nights if he felt up to it, he'd ask to wear a face mask while watching a new show of yours. He may not understand the concept of "fighting for your honor back " but he'd watch if it makes you happy. Another thing Casper loves while doing this is laying his head on your thighs or tummy. Slowly as you watch the film you'll notice him lean closer and closer to you as the show goes on. Soon enough he's lying on your thighs commenting about the protagonist being too bright or obnoxiously loud. (if you mention anything about being the same way to him, he will deny it and say you get an exception because his sunshine is supposed to be bright and vibrant.) He will also remind you if the show you are watching or catching up on has new episodes, just to remind you and make you smile at the end of a work day.

If you like playing games of any sort, he is down but is competitive and kind of a grandpa.(remember the emoji convo) so be patient with him. He is trying. I see Casper as the type of gamer to play the Sims and never leave the computer, just designing his future with you, your pet, Azrael, and a garden for you. (with a large kitchen and space for baking, with a personal room for you and your novelties and books). Don't let him play a horror game. He either makes fun of it for the overdramatic deaths or he'll challenge it. Either way, the fear factor won't work on him like that(in my opinion) but try and delete the 4 bedroom and 3 bath home on the Sims he made for you, there you will get tears and screams.

Another thing Casper likes is your job. Even though he has mentioned that reapers don't need to eat, sleep, or breathe somehow he is always jumping at the occasion whenever you text him about bringing home any baked goods or pastries from the shop home to him and Azrael. (yes, him too because it is an excuse for you to bring more to share) It doesn't matter what you pick, he'll eat it with an adorable face of joy. He sometimes will come down to the bakery and help if you need it.

While making fun of you for being "below the average mortal height" that he has seen over the years. You can flirt as much as you want to but, Casper will always use his height to his advantage. If you're in the shop and need something from a high shelf or above the fridge? Ask him politely to inflate his ego a little bit and then he will help you. While placing his tease a bit. Looking for something specific but can't seem to find it. He placed it on top of the fridge in "sky jail" because you teased him earlier about liking cream in his mouth. Now you'll never finish the dessert you were making unless you go to find the step stool. (which he has also put in a higher place to piss you off more.)

Cuddling sessions after a tiring day of work are as ethereal as Casper is. Had a hard day at work? Get in the blanket with him, he might be as frigid as a frozen tundra but his cuddles and affectionate squeezes and words of encouragement are just as warm. A customer made you a little upset? Oh, trash needed to go out on Thursday anyway (that's a joke, unless...).

The best learning experience for Casper is when he tries to bake or cook with you, he doesn't know the proper measurements for anything, it's random bullshit and go for him. But he will listen to your instructions. While he is intently measuring the sugar, water, and yeast mixture with full concentration, if you go up to him and give him a kiss or hug him from behind he'll shoo you away and mumble about how he was so kind to be helping you at work. FOR FREE. But after a few minutes, he'll ask for your assistance on a task and will cling to you like glue. Will he get flour in his hair? You'll never know, but he will snipe samples and test batches of anything you'll make. Your coworker's batches? Not so much. Even if it is hot garbage in your opinion he will still eat it up as if he was starved.

All in all, Casper can be a little shit or sweetheart for you. Just bring some extra snacks for him and Azrael for the next few days while he is on that Sims 4 dream home.

Currently working on a Victorian tea room/bakery/toy store just because I need a toy store in the town I'm playing in at the moment (don't ask, I make up the silliest challenges for my sims in my brain lol) and I think it unlocked something because now I am working on about 4 of the above-mentioned shops as well as that and there aren't enough hours in the day for alllll that.

Anyway, no photos yet but if I finish any of them and like how they turn out, I will post pics and upload. Hope all is well with all of you <3

Week 40 in my rotational play. Here are some Pointoutbacker updates.

First of, I'm very surprised I've managed to play 40 whole weeks in the same world without my game bursting at the seams.

There are more girls than boys being born (11 girls, 8 boys). Either it levels out in the future or more sims will be LGBT+ (neat!) or have foreign spouses (which I don't really want to allow because of population expansion issues)

We have a psychiatrist (Ifeoma Eze) but not a doctor (the family with the sim I want to be a doctor won't be played until like week 60 lol.)

We have a functioning tax and government benefit system. We also have a full fledged functioning bank.

We have a running resort owned by someone!

We have one teen (Margot Le Pen)

We have 3 connected travel worlds that have been travelled to more than once (Champs Les Sims, Suvadiva Resort, and Cruise Ship --- might be upped to 6 when I introduce travel to Ziwabode, China and Al Medina)

Population started at 60 and is now at 79 (expecting a life time cap of 120-150.)

We do not have a priest but we have a full church. (Sim I want to be priest has not been played.)

I've only played 13/30 placed families.

We have a band, but not a local singer pop star (sim that will fill this role hasn't been played yet.)

We have a functional grocery store.

Dr*gs and g*ns are getting sold regularly without a clear mafia boss (sim to fill this role hasn't been played yet.)

Only 4/30 families have pets (playing wished based, and only animal lovers seem to enjoy pet ownership?)

We have a lifeguard.

We have a teacher and daycare worker.

We have a lawyer.

We have a personal trainer.

Not that anyone asked but here's my Sims 4 CC wishlist

Korean/Asian Convenience Store CC. snacks, shelves and automated machines/ramen stations, Customizable signboards with different swatches, cute decals, and different style shelves, trash cans and shopping carts. It's fine if it's just a clutter pack, wasn't expecting anything. -bulk food. Some of the times I don't want to put things down one by one, and would rather have them in packs/crates/ or those shipping boxes. You know?

Asian High school cafeteria cc. Specifically school lunch trays, the kid-sized milk cartons, with different flavors/cute design, home-made bentos, open and closed version, even a acc of chopsticks and a piece of food, so it can be animated to look like they're eating, thermoses, an open and closed version with different food in it. 3. Lunch spots. We've had simmers make maxis match bakeries, coffee-shops and burger joints before. I'd really like some maxis match bulk sandwich display sets, gimbap, ramen, pizzeria, 🍕 or fried chicken place. Specifically food stations with more metal containers with different swatches so you can reuse it to create any buffet/ food joint build you want.

More modern food menu signs. trays that are already a pile- whenever I stack trays in a build, they always end up disappearing and leaving one behind. Organizers Signs, decals and menus, even if you don't have the proper cc you can do so much with the right posters! 4. Modern Jamaican patty shops or stations like Juici, white foam to-go containers, or to=go containers from various food places. 5. More mm public trashcans and mailboxes. 6. Street/super market cc. 7. Self serving vending machine- No I don't expect it to work, but I hope to get some interactive animations in there, so my sim can at least play pretend

here is version 2 of my save file! i am so sorry it took so long but creative block is wild lol anyways i wanna first say thank you to everyone who has downloaded version 1!

like last time this file includes the 2 previous worlds but also now oasis springs and newcrest.

this version includes 67 new townies (not including pets) 36 new lots which includes 21 households, 9 new community lots, 7 empty houses, 3 apartment buildings, 12 empty apartment units! the oasis springs park is way more lush and enjoyable for all sims with places to grill, paint, read, make drinks, play chess, fish and it even has a wishing well!

in oasis springs there's a community pool, gym and bar. in newcrest there's a park, nightclub, 2 restaurants (one can be turned into a bar, nightclub and lounge) a bakery and a thrift & bubble tea store!

and now every household and a little story so you can get to know them as your sims friends or play out their lives! and now there's custom holidays like halloween, thanksgiving, easter, firework day (which is the 4th of july lol) ect.

and lastly one of the empty houses in oasis springs is in need of a renovation! if anyone would like to renovate it please share on the gallery with #hellohopesimsreno or tag me on here or on instagram :)

how to install: open your downloads folder unzip my save then go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves and plop the save file right in! remember to back up your saves just incase. when you open your game you should see a save like this!

Papaya Island My BACC hood that I've been playing for the last few months. I haven't been following a strict rule set but I have my own subtle rules. I've been building up a lot, with the last build being a school. I have six families so far, a small townie pool. Town/Unowned com lots: School Town Hall Church&Cemetery Library Bank&Post Office Board Walk Beach/Tiki Bar Hotel/Spa/Wedding Venue Owned Businesses: Gym General Store Electronic Store Clothing Store Organic/Grown Food Store Car Lot/Garage Surf Shop/Beach wear store Veggie Fields Cop Shop/Detention Center (it's more of a city build but it's owned by the sheriff) On the list to build: Public Park/Festival Grounds Day Care Restaurant Salon Dance&Yoga Studio Bakery Laundry Mat Museum/Art Gallery Medical Building&Pharmacy(When a sim gets sick for the first time which unlocks the medical career) I need to unlock more sims and townies. I unlock a sim slot when a sim buys a new business (I currently have two slots but I'm saving them to make a family of four). I unlock a group of townies(4-5) for every 5 com lots(owned or unowned).

I don't have much of an "economy" built as I haven't yet implemented taxes, I plan to do that once I get my "mayor" to purchase the town hall once I get to their round, to which I'm planning to save to make either a downtown or a vacation hood that I want to build from scratch, it might cost around 100k or so, not sure yet. I've grown quite attached to this hood, it's the farthest I've gotten with a Build A City Challenge which I've always wanted to have. I plan to start using some form of spreadsheet which I want to make based on how others do theirs. I might post things here and there about it, weather it's my sims or it's the builds I do. I have a video on my youtube channel building the boardwalk which you can watch HERE if you want to!

Fuck it. Fleshes out your Coela region.

Tatsugi Town is a sizable mountain town that reminds me of the desert area in The Sims. It tends to be hot and dry, but there are definitely little oasises here and there, like Butterfree Field, Lake Hassagone, and the Dodgy Cave. Vega Altair, who studies dimensional displacement (I think) has a Pokémon lab there, even if his main studies aren’t Pokémon focused. He can give starters, but you’re probably better off looking for someone else. The houses here are tall and blocky, with either low or high ceilings, very few in between. The gym leader in Tatsugi is Kohaku, the rock type leader.

Mantide is a beach city that I’m sure would get tourists if there were actually things to do in Coela. There’s not even a boardwalk…maybe I can just say there’s a boardwalk and small theme park. There are quite a few seafood places as well as an aquarium. I can imagine people here windboarding in the winter but not surfing. While there is tall grass on the routes, it’s dry and brittle, while the beach stays relatively humid year-round. The people who live here tend to have houseboats or stilt beach houses, leaving the land to business and entertainment for tourists. Professor Fig has a lab here where ancient Pokémon variations are studied. There is an empty gym here, with no leader.

Lanturna Town is a small forested town nestled in Coela’s woodlands. A massive Trevenant, the Turn, patrols its territory here. Lanturna is within its boundaries, but it doesn’t seem to mind too too much, as long as it isn’t bothered. Plenty of ghosts and fairies live in Lanturna’s forests. I imagine the streets here are paved with cobblestone… In the town it’s very cozy, with a little bakery, a café, and a fancy restaurant, as well as the gym ran by Yutsuko. I don’t know what their type specialty is. Harte lives here and you can pick up a starter Pokémon at his ranch, as long as you don’t mind weird genetics…

Tyamo Towers is a large city filled with skyscrapers. This is the downtown of Coela. This is where you find the big library, the office jobs, the hospital, the dark alleys and neon signs. You can also find the dragon type gym, ran by Hwaksim. On the outskirts, just off of Route 4, is an observatory. The light pollution is surprisingly minimal.

Venuza City isn’t far from Tyamo. In fact, Tyamo is simply a sector of Venuza. There are more dark alleys here, shadier residents, and lots of cool graffiti and hobby shops, as well as a casino and cinema. Venuza’s fairy type gym is run by Valonia Wolfram, and he keeps the city loud, louder than the airport. Venuza is also home to a large suburb which houses multiple franchise villains for some reason. You can find Teijirou’s lab here. Maybe don’t get a starter in Venuza.

Lumi District is outside Venuza, away from the suburbs. This is the big entertainment district, with Pokémon contests, bright lights, performance halls, malls, and Field’s gym, which has three gym leaders. Lumi also has the biggest Pokémon center in the region, which functions more as a Pokémon hospital and convenience store. The path into Lumi District, Route 6, lights up as you walk along it! It also plays little chimes as you step. Lots of small Pokémon can be found in the flowering tall grass along the path!

Skrelp City is…rough, to say the least. There are lots of abandoned buildings that you need to traverse through on route 7, making it generally unsafe. Outside of the city is also a dark and dreary swamp, a thick forest that thins out as it reaches Lanturna, and, oh god, a McDonald’s. This is also where the cool people hang out, either at the Punkdragon Café or the tattoo parlor. I just realized it’s called the Dark Café but I’m not changing it now. The gym here belongs to Lottie, a ghost type specialist who works at the café and may serve you some sinister tea. There are lots of shady people who hang around in Skrelp too, but I’d trust that they’re cool. For the most part…probably…

Chou Center is a chilly mountain town on the opposite end of the region from Tatsugi. Route 8 is a hike, going through icy caves and snowy woodland to reach the little settlement. Not many people live here, but it’s quaint and peaceful, with a campsite and an ice skating rink as well as Yukimi’s gym. The view alone is a great reward for traversing the entire region to get there.

Sims 4 Limited Space

I'll probably buy the latest EP (Life and Death) when it goes on sale, but we really, really, REALLY need an expansion that allows commercial rental/leased spaces similar to the For Rent system (better actually) that allows multiple units on one lot. Cemeteries are definitely needed and should've been added long ago, but now we really have space issues. My sims in Sulani should not buried in Brindleton Bay because I have no space for a cemetery in Sulani.

Most maps are too small so you really have to pick and choose what you want/need because they're still restricting our business/commercial spaces to just one store/business per lot. I want the option to build art galleries, convenience stores/conbinis/bodegas, laundromats, banks, cafes, grocery stores/supermarkets, restaurants, bars, flower shops, bookstores, clubs, libraries, onsens, spas, hair salons, vet clinics, office space, parks, bakeries, and cemeteries (and more) in EVERY world.

The Sims 4 developers are still stuck on suburban America's mindset of building outward (sprawls) and need to realize that this is a game, so give us the option to also build UP like in most city/urban spaces. Imagine how our maps would look more realistic if we could have at 5 (or more) different businesses/commercial spaces on ONE lot 🥰

*Yes, I know mods allow multi-purpose lots, but I want OFFICIAL multi-purpose lots because, that's part of life so it should be part of the game, like years ago it should've been part of the game. We have cemeteries, but no ability to build a proper shopping center/mall? Seriously?
