This is actually very funny, because I update whenever I have a random burst of inspiration for this story. (Its also why the chapters are often short or multiple after each other because I go from writing to no motivation to sudden motivation). And sometimes I just take days or weeks to write.

But the worst yandere...

Honestly? It depends from which angle you look at it.

When it comes to betrayal? Tim (also delusional). Especially since he knows what it's like to be neglected, he knows how much damage it brings and you thought you would have some solidarity with him. You don't care for his reasons, you simply care for his actions.

When it comes to possessiveness, Damian and Jason. For obvious reasons, Damian has an obsession with blood relations and Jason's possessiveness is actually a plot line so I can't spoil too much. But he basically sees you as a better version of his mother that he failed to protect and keep alive before, so now he wants to ensure you cannot leave them. Because if you leave you'll be like his mother. And you don't want that now do you?

When it comes to protectiveness, Cass, Bruce and Barbara. Cass feels immense guilt for ignoring your pain, so she'll attempt to shield you from more even if it means kidnapping you or locking you up. Barbara is in the same boat but also because she knows how hard it was at first to become disabled, so she feels guilt for not being there for you. And Bruce is Bruce, with his obsessive plans, his canon nature is already a bit shit, his yandere side just makes it all worse. And when it comes to protectiveness? Eventually you'll won't be able to breath without someone monitoring you if he had his way.

When it comes to delusional Alfred, Dick and Stephanie. We've all seen how Alfred acts, like a piece of shit and he honestly thinks your behaviour is just a fase. Dick feels the need to protect everyone and to be loved by everyone, so he's mainly delusional. He makes himself think that you do love them and still want to be with them (you don't). Stephanie doesn't really want to acknowledge how she has hurt you, so she pretends you guys are okay but she feels the need to keep you (in a sense) so that you'll no longer get hurt.

The easiest would be Duke.

Duke knows what you want, so he'll always take your side. Especially with your past and his own morals. Duke doesn't throw away what he stands for simply because he feels an obsessive need to protect you or to lock you up. No. But he might come with you to everything check if everything is safe and then pretend to leave but he's actually just stalking at a respectful distance and out of sight (from everyone !!!)

I also would like to note that there is no such thing as respectful stalking in real life. Fiction doesn't equate to what's healthy in real life. also you got happy because I updated? Pls, you've made my day, I needed that before my exam tomorrow.

Why kill Tim when you could kill baby Jason? What I want is for all of them to keep their own backstories and personalities (Developed in line with the story of course) So ofc i had to write a 1,000 word brainrot abt it.

(Also i'll only be going over the main 4 batbros for now i will add more later but these guys are the ones im most passionate about so here we go)

Damian

Let Damian come in, desperate to be of use and be worthy of his father, only for a softer, less jaded bruce (since jason hasnt died yet) to help him open up his heart and let him act as a kid. With no competition for so long, I imagine he and Bruce get along very well while he works with him. Yeah, they need to work on the no killing deal and Damian's... i guess impulse control? But i think it would be easier with very intensely focused reparenting; no distractions of other kids you know? No favoring or anything.

I see Damian growing up as a stoic, jaded adult. He's had a rough life. Maybe he sticks with the vigilante business. but I really love headcanons where he gets out of it, and focuses on something calmer, like his art. (I do appreciate and love the veterinarian Damian AUs, but im going for FULL calmness, you know? And doctor/vet work is Not calm lol)

So yeah, maybe he grows a real passion for heroism, maybe he doesn't? Maybe he goes on to be an artist and that's just what he does. Bro is ready to settle down as a scarred, veteran trophy husband and i adore him for that.

(Sorry lol i just love Damian and i love the idea of him growing out of both of his parent's legacies. Let him live his own life!!! He fights so so hard for at least 15 years. ALL 15 years of his life. He deserves to have some peace.)

Tim

Tim i think would need a much different story to join the Batfam. He still starts out as a stalker who follows batman and. . . . . . . Redimar (meaning Redemption iykyk (I just spend 17min researching names rip)) at night, takes photos, etc... Since Damian doesn't die, maybe he finds Tim? and like, tim is like 11 and Damian is 17 or 18. He's started going out as Redimar less and less, not that B really minds? In fact hes probably happy for his son so...

But then Damian finds Tim, and now he has to keep going out because he can't let this kid get himself killed like this. He would hold himself accountable since hes the only reason Tim keeps going out so much- also i imagine Tim follows Redimar more than Batman.

Cue a classic Tim Joining The Batfam plotline. They get to know each other better, get a grasp on Tim's situation, Damian finally introduces Tim to Bruce... (Probably something like Dami: "Father, this is my new brother. Timothy, say hello to Father," Tim: "Hello, Father," Dami: "Perfect." Bruce: "*falls off the batchair*)

Anyway, so, Tim ends up kinda just merging with the Waynes. They start training him, its all good and nice, and Tim makes his own little hero team unlike Damian, which is actually pretty interesting here; its Tim who made the first young hero team. Damian only ever had Jon (Superboy 1 in this!!) and he finds Young Just Us and becomes a great leader and its all fine and dandy.

Tim and Damian get along well. Damian is the sage older brother whos kinda distant, but only because he has such high emotional walls (but secretly a softy). He is very much like Bruce- nope, nevermind, hes definitely worse than Bruce in this AU, since Bruce is depicted as being much more agreeable before Jason's death, you know? So yeah, Damian is the emotionally constipated bitch in the fam and we love him for that. But hey!! Tim does manage to get through his walls! And Bruce does sometimes too!! (Tho i imagine Bruce and Damian's relationship to be very.. idk let me try to expalain. Dami: "Father." Bruce: "Son :)" Dami: "Tt." Bruce: *nods* "Hrn." Dami: "Hmph." Bruce: "Hm.") DO U PICK UP WHAT IM PUTTING DOWN--- lmfao. They hardly need words.

Tim ends up growing up very very capable. Once his parents die, he gets a little jaded, but hes still Tim. He and Damian become kind of an... ice prince duo? If you get what I mean. But Tim is the one whos actually the ice prince, Damian is secretly a HUGE softie. He is Delicate and Tim protects him lmfao.

Jason

Jason comes along like he does in canon. Has the same backstory. Tries to steal the Batmobile's wheels. Tim is sleeping over at Damian's flat for the night, so its just Bruce. They bond. Shit happens. Jason joins the fam.

I don't imagine them not getting along, but they don't immediately hit it off either. Jason is wary of all of them for a time, but he ends up warming up to Damian pretty fast after realizing what a softie he is. He pokes fun at Damian and Damian just freaking takes it lmao. Hes an adult he cannot be disturbed. Bro has seen too much and he finds Jason adorable. (Dami: "You were never this cute, Timothy." <- he is lying. Tim: *offended* "What the fu- flip!?" Jason: "Lmao Tim just say fuck." Dami: *deadpan stare* Tim: "JASON NO DONT SAY THE FUCK WORD-") ahem.

anywho and then Jason dies rip skill issue ratio.

The whole batfam is heartbroken. Genuinely shattered. Jason was a light in their lives. Not that they were WITHOUT any light, but Jason was the epitome of a sunshine child.

It's been too long since Damian has killed someone. Bro's god oodles and oodles of trauma. He can't bring himself to kill the Joker.

but Tim can.

It's a whole dramatic thing; Damian feels awful that he made his- now only- little brother kill. Bruce is hella upset but feels responsible for not seeing how badly both of his kids were handling the death of their brother. Tim goes a little off the deep end.

Things turn out.... okay. sort of. but not really. Tim changes his hero name to Red Cardinal. He feels pretty lost. Maybe he stumbles into Ra's al Ghul or smthn idk maybe smthn happens there perhaps. Maybe Damian has to put on Redimar again and rescue him? But its less of a rescue and more of a "Stop joining the dark side Tim jesus christ-" (and it does work).

They go home. Tim gets a boyfriend or two. Damian falls into his art. Bruce is throwing himself into work. They're all kind of a mess, but they keep moving.

and then

Dick

ahem; and then the circus comes to town. The batfam- well, Tim, Damian, and Bruce- all decide to get together to do something fun. Take the opportunities given, yk? So they go to the circus together.

Wham bam rip the falling Flying Graysons.

They see Dick, breaking apart, and they know they have to do something. Bruce is the first to move. Then Tim. Damian is the last.

It's pretty quick getting Dick home, since Bruce is already a foster parent cuz of Tim yk. So Dick doesn't have to suffer in Juvie at all really. But that doesn't change the fact that he is ANGRY.

Dick is SO angry. he wants to kill the person who murdered his parents. He knows what he saw.

The fam of course do their best to investigate. Mostly Tim, who feels unworthy of being around an innocent little kid after his whole.... villain era, i suppose lol. (ofc Dick thinks Tim doesnt like him lol misunderstanding arc GO)

The whole "Dick accepts that justice is better than murder kinda maybe FOR NOW" storyline happens, and Dick becomes the conniving, bright, little Robin we all know and love. (Thinking of the Young Justice Cartoon Robin (but not the characters- just Dick's character) aaaand

i know there are probably over hundreds of 'tim joins the batfam early' fanfics everywhere. its gotten old now, so i propose a new idea:

"tim joins the batfam really fucking late and pretty much on the cusp of adulthood". DO YOU SEE THE VISION??

jason is still alive here and so is damian who assumes the robin role, while jason continues to become red hood after the trauma inflicted by the joker(just less....shooty). tim's parents are still alive here, but continue to be extremely neglectful as they gallivant across the globe.

tim is like 16-17 here and at the peak of his awkwardness levels and is flustered at the bare minimum eye contact. he works part time at a convenience store because his parents only give him money to pay for tuition and not basic utilities. unfortunately, this grocery store is in the middle of fucking crime alley and is quite the hotspot for local crime bosses and street kids to buy groceries from.

now the reason why crime bosses come here is a reason unknown until later, when we find out that the owner of the grocery store uses its pay to fund a shady organisation which is the latest hyperfixation of the bats.

so the batfam get's a tip abt this org and start investigating more by going to this grocery store where tim works. tim is still the little stalker that we all know and love, and assumes that the reason why so many bats are coming to this store is to arrest him for knowing their identities and ruining everything he knows and loves.

picture this 17 year old, blubbering mess trying so hard to keep up a convo with red hood without trying to throw him off abt knowing his identity. the worst part is, each new day a different vigilante comes to the store to talk to him and get to know him to see if he could somehow be linked to this organisation.

but then they obviously start realizing that tim is neglected and emotionally abused, and since they've started becoming fond of him, they make a plan to foster him for the time being. but before they could do that, tim get's kidnapped by that org as they find out he's somehow connected to the bats

so the bats then try to save tim, shut down this org and we end this story by adopting tim and screwing jack and janet drake over 👍

here's how i imagine the plane ride home from hawaii after shooting the finale went: gregg refusing to talk to or even look at tim. and tim tries to talk to him initially, but he stops. gregg is just staring at the movie playing in the plane, barely moving a muscle. and then tim falls asleep and then all gregg can do is stare at tim bc hes thinking that this will be the last time he sees tim. bc he never wants to see him again, but he also doesnt want to forget his face.

gregg probably like immediately left the apartment (maybe he didnt even go in). since that was like his whole collection that was burnt right? so he has nothing there that he cares about. he can buy new clothes and a new vcr. he just goes to his car and drives away. he wants to get as far away from tim as possible. and only stops to watch movies, where he probably like only eats popcorn. maybe he falls asleep at the theater some nights and has to get waken up by ushers. and then people on twitter are worried about him so he makes up some other movie challenge (#50moviesin50states) to justify this. to distance himself from the truth.

(he started the #500moviesin500days like i think the same week ayaka and tim supposedly started dating. tim tweets at gregg after he announces the #500moviesin500days calling them "reVIEWS Brothers" and saying he would love to be a part of history.... and gregg tweets after that that he will need to cut out any extraneous movie watching. tim stops going to carrabas and movies with gregg and gregg makes up a reason for why he doesnt need to as well.)

tim wins back his trust with decker after the violation with the first one. and then he gets him so close. only to stab him in the back again. its so crazy. like you were so happy tim. why did you have to hurt gregg? he had every chance not to shoot that scene, bc maybe he wrote it in a fit of anger after gregg spoiled the ending that he loved (he considered joes character to be like evil, so decker becoming president is the best way to tie up that plotline to him). and they were so sleep deprived and tom cruise jr was just getting sick (the fact that they get ayakas mom to come over means it was like really bad- and yknow. he did die.). constant phone calls with doctors that tim probably didnt understand.

but they seemed completely fine and like more rested in the episode before the season finale. and they already shot like the actual ending before the burning of the tapes. they didnt even need to go back. its like getting close to gregg is too much for him so he has to push him away and make sure he stays gone. but even when he succeeds in doing that (oscar special 8) he works so hard to get gregg to come back.

TMAGP 18 Thoughts: Dead Letters

Another really great episode. Feels like the show has hit its stride now and it just keeps getting better and better IMO. I can't say I entirely get the episode's title though. This one feels fairly strained to me and I feel like it must be because I'm missing something obvious.

Spoilers for episode 18, and some lightly implied spoilers for TMA, below the cut.

Teddy and Alice being Teddy and Alice isn't something I have a huge amount to say. I'm never 100% sure how you're meant to read these two. Teddy having his own little story in the background is interesting though because the framing of this implies he's very important to the narrative. His leaving is the instigation for two of our main characters to be able to join the OIAR, his leaving party is the opening scene of the show, and every time he's been in it since something about him has progressed. It could just be a grounding element so that not every character is wrapped up in it but it seems fairly obvious that his story is going somewhere.

Fun Fact: I've mentioned it before but as it was name dropped, Robert Smirke was an architect for the Royal Mint.

Lena continuing to be very Lena about everything really does warm my heart. She could just be entirely disinterested, distancing herself from the employees for their safety, or other reasons beside. Either way "Oh, is that its name?" is wonderful and she should never change.

This statement was really great. Augustus being back is a massive highlight. Tim Fearon has killed both of his episodes and I want more of him than we're getting. A haunted house narrated by him is really a treat to listen to. The literal contents of the experience we hear narrated back to us isn't something I have too much to say on. It's got some strong Hilltop Road vibes but is at Church Street. Church Street itself doesn't have anything too important to mention about it. Milton Court, however, is interesting. Violet was seemingly the victim of the same thing that killed Drowning Victim a few episodes back, likely [Error]. But what's interesting about the Milton Court Open Space is that it's about 20 miles from where Drowning Victim was. These cases happened 3 days apart which is ample time to cover that distance but it's interesting because it's largely along the path you'd drive if you were coming from Manchester, where the Institute's ruins were, back to London and taking the M40. You'd drive passed Ickenham. I would not be surprised if we see a similar case from early further north along that route. Another thing of note here is the extreme malnutrition. I think a lot of people are going to link this back to Darrien from the last episode but I think it's more obviously a physical symptom of reliving said experience. Violet wandered though a house with no exit until she starved, like how Drowning Victim, well, drowned. No notes otherwise, great incident. Well, "Some figure reaching asking questions in an alley?" is curious phrasing but I won't get to into that.

Alice and Sam's chat directly addressing the contents of the case is something I love to see. Alice is trying her best to bury all that, bless her, but Sam is for sure never letting this drop. It's just great to see this stuff not washing over them now and it's all becoming more and more relevant. Although it does bring into question why Augustus read this one out. Chester seems to read things that nudge people to act a certain way but this one seemed almost cruel. Like Augustus was trying to get under Alice's skin. In any case its hard to find a thread between this and Taking Notes, at least as far as "motivation" goes.

Oh Gwen. Poor, poor Gwen. Finally opens up about her truly fucking awful experiences and Sam laughs in her face about it. To be fair to Sam leading with Mr. Bonzo is a perfect wind up and I would've laughed too. We all would've laughed if our co-worker said that. To be fair to Gwen, Mr. Bonzo has traumatised the shit out of her and who else is there to really lead with? And as always Anusia killed it here. What a glorious F-bomb too.

Backing up just a little bit, there is this quote during that interaction:

GWEN In the cases, you know how there are often things or places or people or whatever who… aren’t right? Who seem to be causing all the awful things to happen.

Which is fairly interesting if you've been reading theories. Specially about what CAT# means. The most common theory by far is "Person/Place/Object". Meaning that CAT1 indicates a supernatural person in the incident, CAT2 a place, etc. Now, I have written an essay all about this subject entitled "Putting the CAT# Back in the Bag: The Flaws With Person/Place/Object". So, y'know, I don't buy it. Gwen mentioning it now feels like a red herring too given how early it is. Obviously that feeling is rooted in my current belief about said theory. If I don't think it holds water I won't think this is a clue about that. But it's not just that. I think this is too early from a narrative stand point, CAT# standing for those things pointless from a narrative standpoint, and if Gwen has settled on those three things it's not much of a stretch to link it back the the case numbers and part of the point of them is they're inscrutable to everyone there.

Because all of the above isn't enough for this already stellar episode we meet two new characters. Georgie and Jack. Both at long last as they've both come up before. It's hard to talk about this without getting into TMA stuff. I'll try to be light on TMA spoilers but Celia and Georgie have history. Now, unlike with Celia, this very much seems like TMP's version of Georgie. She's a conspiracy theorist instead of a ghost hunt, she's paranoid instead of fearless, and she seems to know as little about Celia as you'd expect. The conspiracy angle is also really clever. TMA was very much just about supernatural encounters but TMP has the cast working for the government. So Georgie has stayed fairly consistent in this regard it's just the shows themes that changed. Celia finding Georgie makes a lot of sense to me though. Their history makes her a good touchstone here and as she's still podcasting about strange things it's a good cover as any. However whatever is happening with Celia is clearly getting worse and she's not lying about it well.

Incident/CAT#R#DPHW Master Sheet and Terminology Sheet

DPHW Theory: 2374 not much to explain on this one I don't think. Spooky house that you can't escape from gets you spooky house you can't escape from numbers.

CAT# Theory: CAT1 is semi-interesting for the theory I think it definitely isn't (see here). Because for that theory to remain consistent corpses end up as objects. Which you'd think would put this in CAT3 if assessors were applying those themselves, and if they aren't all headers of this type being people seems very farfetched when we've seem objects that compel already.

R# Theory: C seems reasonably to me. Having a spooky memory and talking about it seems like the sort of thing no one would care about.

Header talk: Memory (Derelict) -/- Compulsion. Two interesting things here. Firstly, the section being Memory implies that this experience actually happened. Either to Violet or someone else. It could be a ham-fisted section choice if there isn't anything for hallucinatory experiences of this nature but I'd assume there must be. This system is so specific and as that would be a large oversight it seems unlikely that it isn't there. But it's hard to say how much any given assessor knows about what they're picking. Misfiles are always possible. The subsection is the other interesting thing. Derelict is such a specific subsection here that Memory must have 100s of them.

You were glad to have Anya, someone to allow you that sense of freedom in expression, where Curly wasn’t suggesting, Jimmy wasn’t bossing, and Swansea wasn’t commenting. Alas, you had to remember Daisuke and the dimple that tore away any nonchalant that Daisuke had been using to mask the feeling. You couldn’t face Daisuke, when you left your tasks, you always found Anya, it worked in your favor most of the time as Curly would come talk to Anya, and Jimmy would want to find Curly, and you were always with Jimmy.

On and on it went.

It brought you joy because it was almost like a cycle. That at the end of the day, you'll finally be able to be with somebody you can finally be happy with. And you weren't sitting there hearing all this hullabaloo and all this bullshit that continue to eat you alive having. Jimmy tells you which is wrong and what is right. Never in a way to suggest or make you feel better, but in a way to just sit there and bitch and moan about a situation. He was so racked with self-pity he was honestly disgusting how much he couldn't see outside of himself.

You hated training under Jimmy, but you'll be honest, at least he'd get the job done, you know? 

Working with Curly was almost like having an English teacher a drill sergeant. He's such a yes man that it was honestly hard to get any true information out of him because he's trying so hard not to step on your toes. But at the end of the day, it's his job to tell me what to do, isn't it? You and Anya often joked about it, you’d tell tales about him to Anya which you knew she enjoyed, in their little moments of complimenting you wondered about them.

Your time on the Tuplar has been all right. It was definitely a grand experience, something you'd longed for, loved, and even wanted for the rest of your life. In fact, there was nothing bringing you more joy than staying away from home forever. 

God, it kept you up at night.

It's where you'd be looking up into your ceiling, in the quiet hours of your sleeping quarters. You just wonder if that's all you'll be doing for the rest of your life. This desperate need to escape from that situation, to be your own person.

Is it really you, or is it your desperate attempt to not be like her?

You don't call your house often, and honestly, you're not really looking forward to calling them in the first place, most of the Tuplar workers talk to their parents around once to twice a month, it’s nothing you try to think about since you’re stuck with Jimmy during that time. “You���re not calling your family, Jimbo?” It rolled out your mouth with an ease, no care to what he might snap back at you as you’ve become accustomed to being a snitch, there’s a flicker of anger in his tone and it almost blows up the conversation as he tries to contain it. 

“I'm sorry, there's no Jimbo on this ship,” You laugh profusely. Alright, come on, Jimmillini–” “There’s no one here by the name of that, if you want to address me it’s Jimmy.” You roll your eyes at the situation, “I’ll have to report you for not being warm to your intern, Jimmy.” You smirk; he scowls before rolling his eyes back at you leaving you both to bare your teeth behind a smile as Curly made eye contact with the two of you.

“But for your information, I don’t really have a reason to talk to them.” You nod in agreement, “Yeah, I get that.” There is a silence between you two that leads you both back to the workstation, learning and memorizing controls alongside some small quips. This time around Jimmy isn't as mean in fact he hasn't really said anything belittling since the last time Curly told him to chill out. 

You wonder what Curly said for him to be like this though? The corner of lips turns up as he puts a hand on your shoulder and tells you, “Good job.” You look up at the man, worry flooding your face leaving Jimmy's eyes dilated. “You're getting awfully touchy feely there, Jimmy.” The man just smiles at you, “It's just a pat for good luck, you're doing well setting the course and I admire your hard work and dedication.” 

Your eyes crease in confusion but you turn back to the screen willingly in hopes you wouldn't have seen the pearly whites he tried to shine at you. You're grateful to anybody who could have really gotten him to stop being such a jerk to you. You welcome this change with an awkward toothy grin, your lips wobble to maintain any type of confidence you may have had before. You walk this uneven path unable to really trust Jimmy. 

You two work hand in hand it's almost shocking that you two even were against each other at some point, and this turn around allowed you to finally learn more about Jimmy. What he told you it's just him and his mom, Jimmy's really all alone in this world and he thinks back a lot about how we could have ended up differently, he's vulnerable to you as he mentions how lonely his life had always been, even with Curly. 

“He’s practically the sun to everyone that's around us, the light shines out of his fucking ass, and they kiss it like he's their God.” It was a late night in the control panel, just doing a late-night check before heading off to bed which you offered to do for Curly. The two of you had sat in the room alone, looking over the route plan. There's a softness in the situation that leaves your heart aching for more, “Are you envious of that?” Jimmy chuckles dryly, “Who wouldn't be? Being around someone who's just always been that bright? Everyone's constantly praising them for all the things they can do and how amazing they are?”

“Yeah,” You sigh, “Like they're all his friends and you're just there because he wants to be there?” Jimmy listens intently, he says nothing, but you just look into the endless sky before you, “And you're only there because he's there, he and people to bring you along. There's always disappointment in their face when they meet me and they realize I'm nothing like him.” Jimmy nods somberly, “It almost kills me when I'm around the others, Swansea always goes to him for help, Anya constantly dismisses me, and that spoiled child is just scared that there's someone who's there to tell him what he needs to do.”

You turn the chair in confusion to face Jimmy, “I think you're just overthinking it, especially Daisuke, he's trying his hardest with the life he was given, like we all are.” The man rolls his eyes at you and now you're starting to wonder if you should even be here listening to him talk, “Why even defend him? You constantly avoid the boy, it's obvious you two are just contesting each other.” You scoff at his words, “Oh, please, just because I don't talk to him doesn't mean he's not at least trying to be better–” “I don't even see why you'd go through all this trouble to defend him when he hasn't even defended you in the same breath.” 

You find your eyebrows are now furrowed, “I'm so sorry?” His tongue smacks the roof of his mouth, “You see, you don't even know this kid, you think all these people on this shop are here for your best interest and want to be with you, and friendly, and nice, when in actuality they're all just trying to do their job.” That's when Jimmy crosses his arms, “I'm the one who has to explain your work to others, Swansea tries to make it a competition so he can be the best of the best when in actuality he's just some whiny old bastard with nothing left when he gets on Earth. I'm the one defending your efforts, I don't see Daisuke saying that you're doing just a great job he just says, ‘Golly Gee! You really think that?’” The voice sounds squeaky and joyous, it sounds nothing like Daisuke, and it's only meant to emasculate him. 

You find your eyes fall back into your lap before Jimmy pinches his nose bridge, “Look, I didn't say that so you could sit there and mope about some kid who's probably been in thousands of women before you.” He clears his voice before straightening his posture, you bring your head up to face the man, “I'm telling you because I know you're better than him, better than this, that you can do better, and you shouldn't focus on those naysayers who are doing nothing but allowing some ignorant fool to speak ill of you.”

That's when his hand lands on your shoulder again, you feel curious this time, no disgust in you as you look up into Jimmy's brown eyes in search of hope and comfort. “I won't let that happen. I was angry when Curly passed you off to me, he thinks that just because I'm co-captain that I'm just there to do all the things he doesn't want to do.” You think back on some of the tasks Jimmy has had to do, you always think about how lazy and arrogant he was until you think about those times you've accompanied him on side quests to go see about this, that, and the third.

Your eyebrows soften and you listen earnestly, “He just thinks that you and I aren't really doing what we need to do, even though he helped me get this job I know that he just sees me as someone who needs to be told what to do and when to do it like I'm just another puppet that rises and falls at his will but I'm more than that, and you are more than that.” 

Were you the puppet?

“There’s so many other people that can do the job, like being around someone who always has their phone constantly buzzing when you guys are around each other because he wants you to know you're expendable…”

You remembered the phone covered in stickers buzzing violently whilst you both hung out at his house, you asked him to mute it several times but...

“They're his friends, he can't just stop talking to them, he doesn't prioritize you because he knows there are others to go for when it's all said and done.”

Jimmy then sighs, “We're the last ones he talks to during check in because he always wants the good news before the bad news, because he can't handle anything else…” you don't know what to say and honestly you don't even know if you should say anything you're embarrassed by the fact that he might be right about all this about everyone and you hate it because you don't want to believe this. There's no way in this whole wide world that everyone thinks less of you and that even Daisuke is doing better than you, there's no way, right?

You shake your head at this, “Jimmy I don't think that's true I just think that maybe you're spiraling about this and it's okay, people will like us, you and me, I just think that maybe–” The man lets out a groan, he makes his way out of the cockpit in a hurry angered by the fact you disagreed with him. “I won't foster such ignorant thinking, you wanna believe they're out there defending you like I am, being there for you outside of needing something then you can meet that awakening by yourself.” You look down into your lap and look down at your shoes and sigh

Grateful you were when the next ‘day’ finally rolled over, nothing brought you more joy than when the psychiatric reports had to be done. It had been 147 days since you joined the– “Oh I'm so sorry, around 5 months!” You nod thanking Curly with a soft smile, “Yeah, the days thing always freaks me out, feels like they're numbered, y'know?” You try to hold back your laughter looking up at Curly as he puts both hands on his hips and squints at you, “Yeah, it does kinda sound ominous doesn't it.” You groan, “No, Captain, I mean, like my days are literally numbered…” Curly then raises a brow before it clicks, “Ah!” There's a hearty laughter that leaves him.

Was your joke really convoluted or was he just not listening in the first place and he's laughing to save face or is he only laughing because he doesn't think it's funny and he just wants to get rid of you? 

There's a stifle laughter that leaves Swansea.

What the hell is he laughing for? You weren't that funny. Swansea never laughs at anything, not even Daisuke’s jokes that had you clutching your stomach back in high school we're getting to him. Was he just laughing at the situation? Does he know how unfunny you actually am and he's laughing alongside him just to get rid of you, or is he just laughing because he understands completely that clearly doesn't even think I'm funny and that they're both just laughing out of embarrassment for you that this is humorous that you're just a fucking joke to these people–

“I think that's the first time I've ever heard you laugh!” Daisuke chirps at the man before Swansea ushers Daisuke out of the area, you two make eye contact and it feels like the knife that's tracing your heart has applied pressure to your skin. The way his brown eyes find you instantly through a crowd almost kills you and you never admit how much it's truly affected you.

You wonder if that look is an actual look of care, that even if you actually do care does, he really? Is he looking longer knowing that we have history? Is he looking at me because the last time we ever saw each other he had sex with you? It's not like you really care about what he thinks he's just some spoiled child who hasn't had shit to do since high school. Your nose crinkles at him as you think back on everything, he hasn't even really made the time to even come visit you or talk to you and yeah sure you were avoiding him, but he hasn't tried it all that whole time he was talking to you. Was he only talking to you because he got bored of you, and then now he's just trying to come back and talk to me because he thinks you're some easy lay?

You take a sip of the coffee Jimmy got for the group, most likely Curly’s advice to make the man more palatable for them. “I'll take this Anya since I got my psychiatric report today,” I explain to Jimmy, he nods, “Yeah, I heard she's trying to burn the midnight oil since we had that little slip up with some parts falling loose because of you know who.” That's when Jimmy uses his thumb to point in the direction of the engineering and his little Internet leaving the room. “Yeah, not surprised he's fumbling so much since his little hot streak for the first couple of months on this ship.” You nod, saying goodbye to Jimmy before making your way out the room leaving both Curly and Jimmy in the lounge area.

You open the medic door to be met with Anya, she gives you a warm smile and you take it in with your guarded heart pulling up to shield too quickly to allow the feeling to linger before you pull up that fake smile of yours. You breeze through the questions, and you feel a lot better answering them than the first couple times as you've developed this small relationship with her.  You answer them honestly though you know Anya has to do her job and you won't stop her from doing that and fulfilling what she believes is right. 

You think back on what she had the first time around: “I need you to be honest because I need to be better at this, I need to know that I'm actually learning and growing from this.” It was after you made too many jokes about your mental issues, she going tired as much as she was trying to be as lenient with you as she could as a friend and it's become exhausting to hear you constantly talk bad about yourself in such a joking way as if it didn't affect you when it's so clearly and obviously did. 

It brought something else in her, this, a deep sense of insecurity as she wondered if they were even taking her seriously as a real nurse as if she wasn't really doing anything and if she was so underqualified that everybody had just been looking down at her, had she always been just belittled to just don't take it seriously it's coming here and joke.

“Y'know, I'm glad you were honest this time around, F/N, I was beginning to worry I had another Jimmy on my hands.” You cock your head to the left, “I beg your pardon?” Anya sighs, “He just comes in here and makes jokes, feels like talking to a teenage boy and I have to get Curly to do it and it's so embarrassing!” The way it shot from Anya’s mouth in such a flustered manner left you bewildered, as if she was really just fed up with Jimmy to begin with. That's when she took a sip of the coffee you put on her desk, she let out a satisfying sigh before thanking you, “I'm glad someone on this ship thinks of me.” I smile before shushing her, “Oh, no. Jimmy made some for everyone.” Anya raised a brow, “Everyone's up right now?” You nod, leaving her to sigh before going back to work.

You stay in the room for a little while as she finishes up some last-minute notes, she slowly looks up at you from her desk and develops a giddy smile. “Y’know, we haven't spent a lot of time together in a while and honestly, I really do miss you coming over and watching dumb reality television.” You scoff at this. Thinking back on everything and you just roll your eyes, “Y’know, you don’t have to say dumb it’s reality television.” The two of you share a warm giggle, the both of you make your way out of med bay and towards the resting quarters to go watch some more reality TV.

As the two of you make your way over to Anya's room, there's a sort of stumble, a bit of a trip, and suddenly Anya's hand lands on your shoulder to support herself. You question if she's all right and she tells you that she's good, but you don't believe it. The woman smiled warmly at you, and you clutch her body as you direct your way into her area, you stumble a bit as you knock over her needles and yarn kept in a small basket next her bed. I quickly curse myself and apologize before Anya mumbles, “It’s okay…Everything…okay…” You sigh; a bit frustrated by her exhaustion as you help her lay in bed. “You shouldn’t overexert yourself Anya, you don’t have to overexert yourself, it’s just a small group and we can all do this even if you need a break.” You smile sweetly and she smiles back, tangling her fingers in your hair, “God, you’re like gorgeous, an angel sent from above…” You feel your face flushed before you watched her eyes flutter close. 

You lightly shook her just a little bit just to see if she was even a bit awake, you were in awe that she was knocked cold. ‘I hope she stops overworking herself.’ You were still in awe nonetheless; you were concerned on where to go from here. It was most definitely late; the yawn that escaped your throat was deafening and you tucked her into bed as you made your way out the room. “Goodnight, Anya…” You say softly before turning around and making your way over to the door only to be met with a solid form that caused you to take a step back. You rubbed your head, and you looked up to see Jimmy.

“Jimmy?” You're so confused by what the hell you could be doing over here at this time. You cock your head a bit and Jimmy raises a brow as he causes his arm, “what are you doing all the way over here isn't your room a bit farther from Anya's?” You hesitate but you still crease your eyes as you look at them a bit confusingly, “Yeah, we were just hanging out in the med bay before she invited me back over but then she, like, fell asleep. I think she's just working herself.” You share this grief with Jimmy who only rolls his eyes, “She shouldn't be overworking herself; she's acting like this is being a real nurse. No wonder she's never good, if she just put that time into studying instead of taking care of dumb and dumber than she'd actually pass.” You immediately hushed him, putting your hands on him and pushing him back out the room allowing the door to close behind the two of you.

“Even then she's still trying, you shouldn't talk about people like that, that's rude, Anya's one of the few people on this ship who can really see the good in everybody, so I'll be damned if you're about to be that way about her.” There's a silence between Jimmy, he scoffs at you, “like I said before if they were really caring about you and they really saw you for your best interest and why did it take so long for Anya to hang out with you until today? I'm just saying, F/N, I personally don't even see why you defend somebody who's so…” Jimmy catches the look on your eye, you're growing irritated and his eyes dart to see the balled-up fist you have with your nails digging into your palms.

The man looks back from your hands and towards your eyes, the harshness in your gaze leaves him hurt, he sighs as he clears his throat. “Y'know what, you're right.” Jeremy then changed his posture, and you subtly fix yours but still hold your irritated expression, “Listen, you were right about everything. I don't even know what I was thinking saying all that stuff about somebody who you still considered a friend. Who am I to judge who you keep in your circle when I completely trust you.” Your features soften, “Trust?” Jimmy nods before sighing, “I guess you could say, I was a bit sad by the fact that you left to go to your psych eval. We’ve gotten to be around each other, and I know last night I got angry, and honestly it was just kind of rough being without you, maybe it was being jealous of your other friends, and for that, I hope you can forgive me.” 

You raise a brow, there's no universe where he feels this way genuinely, you're on edge by the feeling but then you look into his face and there's this kind of expression like a beating down dog. It felt like you were rereading Shiloh back in your 3rd grade classroom, and you remembered that dog's distressed look as it prayed to have that type of special attention. You change your wording, “Listen, I don't mind us being friends getting to know each other and being on better terms, but that was completely unacceptable. I don't want to be told that I'm just the runt of the group, I got really in my head earlier and it was hard for me to be around Curly and then when we were in the lounge. "You then sigh to yourself, “I could tell from the way you talk that you were just looking out for me but that's not how you do it. I'm not mentally ready for that type of rejection, as pathetic as it sounds.”

Jimmy laughs, “Yeah, I know a lot about being pathetic.” “Your self deprecation rubbed off on me to a point where Anya pointed it out,” The two of you looked at one another with a conflicted look before letting out an annoying sigh, “Oh brother, she can't take a joke.” You then spoke up in defense, “Can't take a joke when you're making a mockery of her career, you can't just give someone coffee as offering you gotta apologize like you're doing with me.” Jimmy then gives you a smile, it's awkward and crooked like it doesn't belong, it's eerie and you try to get rid of this feeling for the sake of having a more positive relationship with your trainer.

You smile back, “So, uh, why were you out here?” just as awkward as his before you try to think about what you want to say, “Just a mandatory check…Making sure you're all here and safe, even in space you could never be too safe as Curly says.” You chuckle, “Yeah, not surprised there.” The two of you share a laugh, the dark chuckle that escapes his throat feels even more terrifying, you quickly dismiss yourself to get back to the comfort of your enclosed space, “Well, I'll be heading back.” You say, you turn in the opposite direction and wave him off, Jimmy nods, his smile falling, “Goodnight, F/N.” You feel a shiver down your back, turning around to wave awkwardly back at him, it's hard to even emit any joy with the darkness of the area just shadowing his face and only highlighting the dead look in his eyes that tore you apart.

You let out a spacious laugh, “Goodnight, Jimmy!”

it’s the monkeys paw. we’ll technically get brudick but it HAS to have some really annoying catch. i do think that eventually SOMETHING will happen???? something that can’t be easily explained away as fraternal or parental admiration and devotion, something really explicitly brudick.

but i think it’s highly contingent upon the american social climate toward LGBTQ+ people. DC has become more inclusive of queer characters and themes because they understand that their fanbases have queer people in them and they can make money off them (following the trend of corporations starting to cater to queer people circa 2011). but if the pendulum swings in the opposite direction (think of companies like Target rolling back their Pride Month collection because they bent to the complaints of conservatives), there is a much lower chance.

even still, implying either or both of DC’s poster children for aggressive heterosexuality could be gay would cause an uproar among DC’s target marketing demographic (straight white men). and especially now that DC want to hammer in the father & son dynamic.

outside of tumblr on the wild internet i have seen extremely homophobic takes on tim drake coming out as bisexual. the outrage if it were batman would be cataclysmic.

of all the options in my poll, i’d hope that the one that comes true is the “tiny au versions of brudick are shown in the background of a splash panel”.

confirmation of a universe where they are romantically together opens the door to exploring that universe. it would be baby steps. a pill easy to swallow. the straight white male fans would be able to say “well thats not prime earth so it means nothing.” they can still say the real batman and nightwing gets pussy exclusively, masculinity preserved another day. 🫡

the option i would dislike the most would be genderbending dick. eye-rolling in its simplicity.

or they create some backstory for dick where he is a transgender man and imply that bruce was attracted to him but only before he medically transitioned or something. their “breakup” happens and dick begins a medical transition, making it one of the reasons their relationship is fraught. they’d use it as an excuse for why dick wore a leotard when he was robin since they are evidently very embarrassed about that too. i hate this idea, by the way.

as for the most likely option, i think it would be “they do something gay and have to be disgusted/reassert their straightness right after”. it would involve some forcefully drug induced state or mind-control that would “make” them do something, and then they’d be creeped out and visibly uncomfortable that it happened. it would be used for comedic effect and not taken seriously at all. or perhaps just an offhanded reference to such an event so they don’t have to show it. something like:

“Remember that one night when Poison Ivy hit us with that mdma powder? I had such a hard time explaining to Kori why there was a love bite on my—” interrupted by Bruce being extremely bitch faced about it. dick shuts up and they never bring it up again.

Tommy's return being highly likely makes me really happy. However, because of the trolling from the press and Bvddie in 806 and the trauma from what happened afterward, I feel uneasy about enjoying this moment.That's why I want to consider the possible negative scenarios in the upcoming story

1. Tommy dies → If this happens, Tommy will become an unforgettable scar for Buck. I don’t think Buck would recover from this at least until next season. If this show were in its early seasons (like season 1-3), such a storyline might have been possible (like Shannon’s case). However, since we are in season 8, I don’t think they will push such an extreme plot. Besides, I think viewers watch this show because characters don’t die

2. Tommy and Buck have an awkward reunion, and after the events of 814/815, they meet one last time to sort out their feelings and acknowledge their breakup. Buck then starts dating someone new → Would this be the worst-case scenario? If they break up for a reasonable reason, I’d be disappointed but not as angry as I was in 806.

3. Tommy reveals that he is seeing someone else or is engaged, telling Buck to move on → Personally, I think this is the worst-case scenario. Making Tommy a male version of Abby and hurting Buck, only to leave him single forever, seems like something they might do, considering this show loves to recycle storylines. I believe Abby being Tommy’s ex-fiancé was one of the clearest examples of Tim’s poor storytelling😩

Lastly, here’s the "hopeful" version that Buddie fans are dreaming of:Tommy tells Buck, "The one you love isn’t me, it’s Eddie." → Funny, right? 0% chance of happening😅

What are some bad possibilities you can think of? Also, I’m really bad at English, so I used multiple translation tools. Please understand if there are any strange expressions.

One last thing! This is just my personal opinion, but if Tommy appears in 811 or is at least mentioned, I think it would be a positive signal for Buck and Tommy’s relationship.

Hi, Nonnie! Sorry for taking a bit, I was barely home this weekend and I wanted to take time to answer this. This is pre-leaks, but I still wanted to answer.

Also! Your English is great; do not sweat it.

I get feeling uneasy, mostly because I do relate. There are positive signs there for us in a way they weren't prior to 806, but back then we got burned so badly that it makes sense we are untrusting now. Personally, I chose to have fun, theorize, and clown with our fellow Bucktommies, but realistically expect nothing. I'd rather be surprised than disappointed. Now, to go over your points:

I've talked about it before, but yeah, 911 killing a character this big when it rarely kills anyone would be a bizarre and questionable choice. Furthermore, unless they make Buck get over it rather quickly (which would not make sense with how important and significant they've made Tommy for him), I genuinely don't think they have enough time to make him work through it. And to have another 'ghost' when Shannon is still present (yes, even after Season 7)... I just don't see it.

It wouldn't be the worst-case scenario, for sure. But I just don't see how they'd manage to find a LI that worked better than Tommy does. Or someone we care even a third about. Hell, someone we can trust will be there for the long run, and not thrown out randomly. This might be a hot take, but I think this is their chance to make or break the audience's trust when it comes to LIs.

This simply wouldn't make sense. Tommy screamed of unresolved issues in 806. We've had tiny hints of him not accepting/being comfortable with compliments, having a hard time getting close to people. Based on what we last saw with him, it wouldn't make sense to see him now engaged. With a rebound? Eh, perhaps. But not more than that.

There is a lot of spec right now that (spoiler) Tommy indeed tells Buck about his feelings for Eddie / they argue because of it. I think that the leak is false. I know a lot of people are very nervous about this, but I genuinely do not see it. Journalists would be annoying right now (well, more than usual) if that were to happen in the episode.

My worst-case scenario is 1, to be honest. What I disliked the most about 806 was the 'ending' they gave Tommy. Giving him a death as a second ending would be even worse IMO, and it would definitely send a whole other new wave of backlash their way.

As for 811 - I see it two ways.

Tommy is there, and the episode ends with things still unresolved. Not a bad thing to me, because we know Tommy comes back later. So it would basically be 811: start of conflict/arc, 815: resolution. If Tommy is there I will consider it positive, regardless of the outcome.

Tommy is not there, it isn't that big of a deal. We know he's there later. Personally I'd rather have him there, but I don't think it's a bad sign if he isn't.

I may or may not have another annabeth wayne au idea (my brain loves to come up with writing ideas to avoid writing). There’s no plot but Frederick is also her biological father because maximum angst is the goal. There are kinda 2 versions that aren’t worth their own asks. The base idea for both of them is that Athena, with her goddess magic, was able to mix the dna of both Frederick and Bruce, maybe because she got mad at one of them when she was creating annabeth as a gift, I don’t really know.

The first version is that for whatever reason, Athena chose to leave annabeth with bruce to be raised. Because of his questionable parenting skills, she then leads annabeth to Frederick at the age of 5. The regular being alienated from her stepfamily runs its course and annabeth eventually returns to the manor. Bruce is left dealing with the fact that even when she left him, her life really didn’t get any better. So, as he sees it, she ran away for nothing. Depending on the reconciliation timeframe, this could be before or after she decides to try again with Frederick. Either there could be angst about how she was willing to forgive him before Bruce, or how Frederick does not deserve her forgiveness because Bruce doesn’t trust him.

The second version is that she was left with Frederick first, and later guided to the Waynes at age 5. They don’t believe her when the spiders come and she runs away to camp. The angst then kind of becomes the inverse, where they failed her when they promised to be better. They do understand way better than the Chases when they know it’s all real, but that doesn’t erase what happened. Again with the reconciliation angst, where either because Frederick didn’t promise anything he didn’t give, Annabeth is willing to forgive him easier, or that she would talk to the man that Bruce has hated almost as much as himself because of what happened.

This of course leads to lots and lots of angst. Annabeth will sometimes casually bring up the other family either on purpose or accident. She’ll get along with someone from one side or the other and be calling them, leading to someone from the other side being envious because she absolutely doesn’t get along with them like that. She has to juggle her siblings who weren’t responsible for hurting her and the people who very much were. She’s trying her best to fix what’s broken, and so are her fathers, but they’re all struggling. Bonus points for Bruce feeling extra violated because he didn’t consent to any part of this.

1. Annabeth not returning until post-HOO to the Manor, after already being in contact with Frederick since TLT...evil. Bruce knows she's been spotted, his systems picked it up and Barbara confirmed, but he's waited for her to come to him, but Annabeth only goes to him because Percy said that they'd go together.

So, Annabeth and Percy showing up in Wayne Manor, having been in contact with Frederick and Sangha (I will die on the hill that her step-mom is Korean) for years, recovering from Tartarus, and Bruce realizes that the only reason that she shows up is because she walked through literal hell.

2. Annabeth going to Wayne Manor, realizing she does not have a place here, and going to California, and getting along with Byung (Bobby) and Matthew and getting to know Sangha again, while also writing to Damian, but also not having a place here and running back to CHB who welcomes her with open arms. Bouncing tentiavely between the houses before settling into the fall in Wayne Manor, the winter in CHB, the spring in California, and causing constant jealousy as she attaches herself to Byung, Matthew and Damian, and Jason is practically seething jealousy, and Tim feels increasingly alienated when he stumbles on Annabeth out with Sangha and her half-brothers on an outing in the spring, and sees that she does the same exact thing with Damian.

Bruce feels extremely violated, and it makes it hard to connect with Annabeth, especially given that he's promised to do better. They don't get that papering over the cracks in BotL, and instead get into an argument that Bruce tries to resolve by giving her his mother's necklace. Annabeth wears it with the college ring Frederick gave her, but by god, do they not talk or resolve anything ever. Happy weekend Fandom :) Per usual we have a few high content eps then the next is a little lower. Still a good ep to be had though. Seeing a softer side to Tim for Angela. What a good friendship they have. And the continued reasons to dislike Lucy’s parents so much. I go off on her mom so be prepared. They spend this episode apart which always makes me sad. But it’s a great episode regardless. Let’s get this started.

3x10 Man Of Honor

We start off the ep with some flashbacks to the academy. At first I thought my clip was shaky, then I realized its Nolan's shoddy camera skills not mine LOL This is the one moment I wanted to highlight out of the academy shots. Lucy’s reason for becoming a cop. It’s prominent for later in this episode. Especially with her bloody mom….Her feeling adrift since college and not knowing where she belonged. That when she stepped into the LAPD It finally clicked.

Saying she didn’t feel the time she spent before this was a wasted effort. Which is amazing most people regret the wasted time. To me I agree with her. It’s that time before you find your thing that eventually leads you to it. That need to want to protect others from harm as part of her reason. Fantastic and very Lucy. I do love her finding her place as a cop. It’s why she fights tooth and nail at everything she does with this job. What Tim saw in her from day one. That fire and drive to succeed. Love our girl.

The scene in roll call is hilarious. Jackson’s dad told him when he got P2 he got bottle of whiskey. That he was called up to the front and given this. They are both operating under this assumption when Grey mentions them. It’s too damn funny. I love their friendship so much. It truly one of the best parts of this episode. Jackson gets tongue tied so Lucy steps in for them both. Telling Grey it's their first day as P2's all exicited.

He asks them if they want flowers? Cupcakes? It's why Grey asks Lucy what the reward is for making P2 above. They’re insanely embarrassed by the time Grey is done with them. They get to ride together which is the highlight after all that. It’s so weird to have roll call without Tim there though. I feel his absence but I guess even T.O.’s get days off. Boo.

We catch Jackson and Lucy in their shop. Jackson keeps getting ‘Congratulations’ texts from his family. You can see the slight jealously on Lucy’s face. I totally get it. For the most part I relate to Tim. When it comes to poopy unsupportive parents I'm right there with Lucy. She and I are alike where I too have tried on a lot of hats. Just trying to find myself as well. My parents being judgy unsupportive jerks the entire way.

Lucy has finally found what her calling is and just wants her parents to be proud of her. Makes me wanna cry just writing that out. Because even when you don’t have good relationship, there is still a part of you craves that approval. When really is should be the other way around. They should be vying to be in your life.

Jackson invites her to his family tradition dinner. So sweet he really takes care of her so much. Lucy declines because her parents are supposed to come over for dinner. She thinks they’re finally coming around to her being a cop. Jackson is so excited for her and says that’s great. I love this scene. They’re so excited to be riding together it’s adorable. Getting to use ac and listen to music haha It's precious.

We cut to Tim on his day off. Yelling at Kojo to move when he’s given up on their walk LOL It's the way Tim whines at Kojo that makes me laugh so hard. Kojo refusing to get up even though they are close to the house. That dog clearly runs that relationship and it makes me giddy to no end. I adore any scene we get with Tim and his dog. Ovary explosion for me. I’m a huge animal lover. To have a dog and Tim in a scene? Phew lord. Gimme. Tim gets a text from Angela saying she needs him ASAP. He finally gets Kojo to move by asking him if he wants a steak? Lmao Spoiled Fur-baby.

Tim gets to the address and it’s a wedding dress shop. He enters hesitantly wondering what is going on... He asks the employee where she is? They tell him she is currently in the changing suite. She’s gone through half their tissue supply. Aww poor thing. Tim sighs and makes his way to her. Once inside asks what’s wrong? Is she going into labor? Lmao No love. Nothing like that. He is straight with her when she asks if she looks fat. I love how he tells her like it is while also being sweet about it. The Tim Bradford special. Telling her who cares what her stupid friend thinks. If she's not ashamed of her baby bump then screw everyone else.

Angela is still upset she can’t hide her belly in her dress. Then we get to see protective/supportive Tim come out. Mmm one of my fav flavors. Asking her ’Who said you have to hide your belly?’ Angela tells him her bridesmaids did. The dress she’s in was supposed to camouflage it the best and its not doing that.

I adore him building her up when she’s down. Look at him taking the skills he learned from Lucy. Using them in this scenario. I love it sfm. Tells her to show off her baby belly. To be proud not ashamed. To wear what she feels confident in. Ugh my heart Timothy. He’s doing exactly what she needed. This is why she texted him. To be that emotional support friend. Her face says it all in that gif above.

What I love about this scene we get to see another side of him. Not just work Tim. A supportive and thoughtful friend. If Lucy could see him right now she would be dying haha He asks her what her dream dress is? Angela tells him what she wants. He says he’ll go get the dress lady and they’ll start there.

I love this man so much. It’s insane. She looks so at ease and taken care by the end of their scene. What a good bestie does. Can only hope we can have scenes like this when Tim marries Lucy. Angela helping him out but giving him crap in a loving way baha Good man right here. Already loved him before this but this only adds to it. Like a sundae that was already delicious and adding on more yummy toppings. Only makes it even better.

Angela is trying on more dresses. Tim asking her if she’s doing ok? I’m loving this soft version of Tim. If he’s this sweet and supportive with Angela. Can only imagine how he would be with Lucy and their plans when they get there. Angela says hard to get dress on over her bowling ball. Naww Tim’s face when she finally comes out is so cute. Once again all I can think of is his face when he sees Lucy in hers someday. I'm sorry I can’t help it LOL My brain is wired to go there now with them together.

Tells her ‘Whoa.’ building up her confidence even more. It’s so sweet. Angela agrees it’s perfect and thanks Tim for doing this with her. He does the sweetest smirk and lets her know ‘Of course’. A crash interrupts their little moment. Two ladies are fighting over a dress. Tim and Angela come out to see the fight. The dress lady says she’s called the police. Not to worry. Tim starts to film it in case they need it for evidence.

Then his future wife and her bestie show up on the scene. Tim couldn’t be more delighted to watch her and Jackson handle this. Lucy is distracted the minute they enter the scene. Tim Is in a dress shop for one and two with Angela. Her reaction couldn’t be more pure and adorable. Asking if he’s there to help her pick out a dress? Just the thought of it is making her so happy and proud of him. The immediate joy on her face.

The thought of him doing this makes Lucy so damn giddy. Jackson doesn’t have time for her work flirt and goes after the suspects LOL Tim’s reply is classic Tim. God forbid she get to see another soft side of him. Which is exactly why she’s so giddy BTW. Tim replying to her question 'All he’s doing right now is watching her not do her job.' Ha God Tim you could’ve at least said hello. She gets nervous and side steps before helping Jackson. It's adorable. She's totally lost her place in her excitement and is clearly distracted by it.

The more the situation escalates the more Tim and Angela enjoy themselves. Angela commenting ‘They grow up so fast don’t they?’ One of them tries to take off with the dress. Tim helps Lucy out cause he can’t help himself. Sticks out his leg tripping the suspect. He could not be enjoying himself more if he tried. Just being a proud hubby filming her arrest and making comments along the way hehe Lucy's face while he does this. She is not amused at all. I’m cracking up. God I love these two idiots so much. Act more married please. You are fooling no one.

Her dinner will her parents Or really parent has arrived. Lucy being a wonderful daughter her mother doesn’t deserve. She's made lotus root soup which is her favorite for their evening Trying to curry favor with her before their dinner even begins. I get it. Her mom shows up solo…. Congratulates Jackson before he leaves. She is nicer and more of a supportive parent to Jackson than her own daughter… ugh been there…Lucy asks her where her father is?

Her mom says off handedly like it’s no big deal he’s at his book club. Like this dinner meant nothing to him. Her face kills me. Trying to just shake off the hurt. Melissa crushes this scene btw. My heart breaks for her over and over. Lucy continues to brush it off and say they can have a girls night to celebrate then. Her mom drops the hammer very early. Doesn’t even try to pretend to be happy about her graduating to P2. Says she isn't there to celebrate.

Saying how they need to talk about this whole police thing. Like it’s just been some random hobby the last year or so for her. Even gives a sarcastic 'Brava.' Like she didn’t almost friggin die from this 'hobby' last year. Telling her to do something meaningful with her life. To get a real profession. The emotional abuse happening in this scene hurts to watch. It gets under my skin as the hits keep coming. Basically saying what she’s doing doesn’t mean anything. Once again Melissa is wonderful in this scene. Watching how it slowly escalates and her body language through out. Trying to take what her mother is telling her and not let it affect her. It works for a little bit but not long...

States she wants Lucy to do something she’s proud of. One of the rudest things to tear your child down with. To only think of yourself and how their decisions make YOU look. Pisses me off so much. Just because my parents are the same damn way. To only think of themselves and not of their child. Such a narcissistic way to view Lucy and what she’s done with her life. How her career embarrasses them and they'd prefer her to just leave the last year or so behind. Just because it doesn't puff them up around their friends.

My parent's are obsessed with status as well. If I'm not using my degree (which I only got for them BTW) for a job it's not something to be proud of. Even though the job I currently have gives me independence to live on my own with no roommates (which is not cheap these days), pay all my own bills, and take care of me and my dogs with no help. But since it's not what they consider a profession to be proud of they aren't proud of me. So I relate painfully so to Lucy in this scene. Also the school thing such a boomer answer. My parent's are the same way.

To think school is the only answer to everything. That obsession with status and only wanting your kids to do their approved career choices. What makes them look good and smell good in front their social circle. Instead of thinking hey my kid is happy, they’re providing for themselves, they love what they do. They’re independent. No they only think how it negatively impacts them. I'm so mad for Lucy because I’ve lived this. The heartbreaking way she asks ‘Can’t you just support me?' Thinking why is this such a big ask?

This is why the support she gets from Tim is EVERYTHING to her. Why she lives and breathes for it. When you’re torn down your entire life it’s hard to have self esteem. Hard to believe you’ll ever be good at something. Even if you are you don't truly believe you are until someone tells you repeatedly. Emotional abuse growing up leaves lasting scars. You can see where it all stems from for Lucy in this one scene with her mother.

Her mom goes on to tell her to find a career that really helps people. Like a doctor. Uh she has. You just don’t like it. Says she doesn't mean to be blunt, but really she does. If her mom would take her head out of her ass for two seconds. She would see Lucy already has all the things she’s harping on her to achieve. I want to hug Lucy so much while her mom berates her. Giving me flashbacks to my own mother. The pot shots leave wounds that are hard to heal.

The way she says ‘They'll always love her but’ and there’s the emotional manipulation. Basically saying our love has a price tag and that tag is the job of OUR choice. Not the one that makes you happy but the one that is socially acceptable for them. The way she cringes and moves away from her mother's touch. Knowing it’s manipulative. Hurts my soul to watch. Last thing she wants right now is fake affection.

I do need to commend her for having the backbone to tell her mom to give her space. I've never had the guts to stand up to my mom. I just avoid her like the plague these days. Rarely interact with her. Easy when she lives on the other side of the country. All the way in Alaska and can stay there. So huge props to Lucy for being overwhelmed and setting a boundary in this moment.

That if she’s done expressing what a disappointment she is that she can just leave. Her mom doesn’t fight her in the least really. She does a little stomp trying to exude some power over her. It doesn't work. Then Lucy yells at her to go and she finally takes off. Phew. Hard scene to watch. The shot that pans out of Lucy is a great one but a heartbreaking one. Makes me so emotional to watch this scene. This scene resonates with me so much in the worst way. I wanna hug her so badly in that last gif. Wishing Jackson was there to do it for me.

The cuteness continues for Tim and Angela while they taste test cakes. This is a much needed contrast to Lucy's SL atm. Angela sighs and says this is stupid. That no matter what she picks Patrice will overrule her. Tim is sitting there all arms crossed. Has become one of my fav poses for him. Yum Tum. Says all authoritatively ‘Don’t let her.’

What I’m loving about theses scenes is we’re getting background on Tim. Which I always love getting. Why am I not surprised his dad got drunk and ruined his wedding? That his whole family seems like one giant disaster zone? (Other than Genny) I love him taking his past experience to help guide Angela with her wedding. Such growth. Saying a million things like what his wedding had you can’t control. But this she can. So to pick what she really wants.

Angela says she wants a Tres Leches cake, but Patrice will think it's too ethnic. SMH ..Tim goes into protect mode once again. I love it sfm. Letting her know ‘Screw Patrice. If she has a problem with Tres leches or anything else for that matter she can answer to him.’ Side note anytime Eric says any Spanish word I wanna climb him like a tree. He says it with the right inflection and it’s sexy af. You know he learned all that from his wife and I love it. Feral Caitlin will cool down now but hot damn. Protective Tim and a slight accent with a Spanish word? Lord help me. Also in the black hoodie? He’s trying to kill me.

Angela replies really? Tim nods his head and says 'Hell yeah.' Then proposes to him with a cookie to be her man of honor baha I love this episode for them. He tells man of honor isn’t a thing...She says yes it is. Lets him know he’s only person who’s made her feel sane. That she needs him to get through this wedding. He caves and says fine hehe Angela tells him his first duty is to fire her current made of honor Gretchen LMAO His reply ‘What?! ‘ I’m rolling. I love this man so much.

We catch Lucy and Jackson at the station next day getting their war bags loaded. Lucy saying he got in late must’ve had a good time. He shows her the necklace they gave him. St. Michael. Patron saint of cops. Lucy looks jealous and asks if his parents will adopt her? Jackson immediately sensing something is wrong. He asks if she had trouble with her folks? Picking up on Tim’s habit of being a lying liar who lies. She isn’t truthful with him and he can see right through it. The concern written all over his face.

Angela invites Gretchen to the station to be fired by Tim. It’s too funny. Tim asks why she can’t fire her? She says she’s working a case and has to go. Tim calls her a coward when he see’s Gretchen arrive lol. Another fun piece of history for Tim. He was at Angela’s nieces quinceanera. It’s how he introduces himself to Gretchen seeing as they met there before. Love them being close enough friends for him to attend that.

Gretchen is legit eyeing him the entire scene. Her eyes checking him out up and down. Can’t blame her look at the man. He is a sight to behold. Low key hits on him asking him if wants to make a little extra cash as the stripper? LMAO Too bad Lucy isn’t around to see this interaction. He always gets so flustered when someone does. I swear he doesn’t know the gorgeous creature he is when they do this.

Tim tells her she’s been fired from MOH. His cute little look when he says Angela picked him to be her man of honor. He’s happy to do it for her but doesn’t want anyone to hear it....lol You think she’s gonna be mad. Nope just relieved. Telling Tim it’s been a nightmare. Pulls out this massive book of ‘Patrice’s picks’ and the anti-anxiety meds that come with it. My god. Also the phone just for wedding needs. Tim’s face is hilarious he looks so very overwhelmed.

Lucy and Jackson get to end their day on a high note. They were able to link up with Nolan/Harper on their OP. Rescued a little girl and got her safely back to her mom. This scene is so validating for Lucy. Reminding her despite what her parents think this is her calling. That this is the right path for her and she’s helping people like she wanted to. May not be the way her parents approve but she is. Grey telling them that little girl wouldn't be here without their hard work. They're being put up for an award too from Grey as well. That is the icing on the cake for her in this scene. She needed this after that horrible fight with her mother.

We find Tim and Angela on the rooftop walking toward something. She asks him what he’s doing? He tells her ‘Being your man of honor.’ They walk up to a trashcan that has the 'Patrice picks' book in it. He tells her he has one job. Give her the wedding she wants. He douses it all in the lighter fluid. Hands her the lighter and asks if she cares to do the honors? Then Angela praises him and calls him amazing.

He could not be cuter when she says this to him. Being Tim he deflects it with sarcasm saying ‘All the time.’ Ha! It’s much different than the smile we get out of him in 5x13 when Lucy calls him amazing. But it is different when the love of your life calls you that vs your bestie. Still I love this for him. The Patrice phone rings and Angela tosses it in the fire. Tim has them step back cause the battery in it is gonna explode LOL Such a damn cute episode for Tim I can not stand it.

Best part of the episode for Lucy is this next scene. I love Jackson so very much for his loyal and loving friendship. Also for how he handles this whole thing. Knowing something is off with her. He called her mom and was told what her mom said. Tells Lucy he told her mom if she didn’t apologize to her she wasn’t going to set foot in their apartment again. Such a good friend. That’s a true blue bestie right there.

Then he follows it up with something even sweeter. Handing her a jewelry case saying this was from the West family. To remind her there are people out there who are proud of her. Proud of what she’s accomplished. I’m melting this is so damn sweet. I might get a cavity. He helps her put it on. Then tells her he’s taking her to dinner. For baseball steaks. She asks if they can do sushi instead? LOL Jackson easily concedes and says ‘Deal.’ He'll do whatever she wants.

Jackson takes care of Lucy so well. Filling that role until Tim is ready to step in and take his place. He would’ve been SO SO happy for her and Tim. To see Lucy be taken care of and treated like a Queen. Which she so very much deserves. To see her properly loved and happy. Makes me emotional thinking he’ll never get to see how happy Tim has made her.

Such a good episode even though Chenford were apart their SL’s separately were so good. What makes them so great. Can have amazing SL’s even when apart. Although I prefer them together heh.

The flashbacks to them at school were every cute. Lucy kicking ass in their combat classes. Of course she did. Nolan even commenting 'Think twice before taking on recruit Chen’ Obviously.

He knows that Tim is too dumb for it right now anyway. That his legs are trembling with the strain of keeping them nice and spread as the Imitator curled the impossibly long appendage inside his guts like a… like a… (worm).

“They are a wonderfully clean facility with a lot of lush green spaces for you to work out in if you want to. You could take Mister Day for a run, hmn? Wouldn’t that be fun to stretch out your legs a little after being cooped up here for so long?”

Hello there! I came across your profile while searching 'Mashle' on the search tab and later on realized you're the one who wrote one of the best Ames Sibling fanfics I've ever read! Well, I love them so much. However, I never understand the reason why Rayne chose to left Finn behind without saying anything. Yes yes we know he's not so good on binding words, but... at least just let Finn understand the situation. It's like it never crossed his mind that Finn would be desperate to be put on a distance. Tbh at first it's giving me an impression that Rayne was so exhausted to take care of ever-crying-little-Finn and went like "okay okay if that's what you want, I'll change this world. So stop crying", but thankfully it's not particularly like that (I guess Rayne would silently cry ugly tears if somebody accused him this way lol). But, it's just... why? He made Finn dependent on him but never thought it would be hard for Finn to survive. (Also it would be better if he apologizes properly to Finn). I just need a clever explanation about this.

So even in Rayne's flashback chapters we didn't get the process of how he distanced himself from Finn, only the reasoning and the result. Process matters since it gives a glimpse into what he's really thinking (cutting off all contacts one day vs. slowly pulling away). I'd argue the few frames we got don't give concrete evidence on whether he "left Finn without saying anything", but the narrative strongly implied that whether or not Rayne said anything, Finn didn't understand his intentions.

It could be deliberate (Rayne explained the future he wants for Finn during vs. Delisaster) or accidental (he's not the best w/ words and value actions over explaining things properly to someone he's planning to distance himself from). Maybe he even thought Finn would be safer being kept in the dark, since there's a difference between knowing Rayne is looking out for him and Rayne wanting to cut all contact. If there is someone who stalks Finn regularly to get a weakness on Rayne, Finn can't control his everyday actions to really sell the idea that the Ames siblings aren't anything to each other. But that's just headcanons.

Since we didn't get much in the official materials, I had to come up with filler ideas for my fic. In the interest of cutting down cheap drama, I chose for them to understand each other's intentions at heart without actual concrete proof backing it up (Rayne knowing Finn want his brother around but would be 'happier' not having an older brother being a radical Visionary intending to flip society on its head, and Finn knowing his brother cares about him without proof that his brother didn't undergo a complete change of heart while attending Easton).

That's why in my fic I wrote Rayne planning to spend as much time as possible with Finn before he came into the spotlight as a Visionary and slowly cutting contact under the guise of being busy (so until he's 16 and Finn 14), but his plan skewered when Finn planned to attend Easton as well. Rayne knew Finn was lonely, but thought Finn only pursued the path of Easton (not magic user) to be closer to him, so he denied that by keeping his distance in hopes Finn would drop out after realizing Rayne won't give him what he wants.

The Rayne I wrote accepted there would be risks that Finn would be emotionally destroyed from his decisions but pushed on since the threat of Finn becoming a target by association is greater than whatever hole in his heart resulting from Rayne distancing himself. This is where they differ. Rayne had a grand cause (become DV to save orphans) to justify the loneliness and falsely assumed that Finn would be able to as well, since as of that moment they had nothing to worry about: they are both still alive, there's money, food, and shelter. Finn, while appreciating the newfound qualities of life, just got bamboozled into the biggest constant in his life being away for months at a time and then cutting him off because Finn found something he wanted to do (attending Easton).

Rayne knew Finn is a crybaby but Finn would lock tf in for people he cares about, so he's not weak weak. He was hoping Finn would give up on him and graduate safely since magic users graduating from prestigious academies are in demand, especially when Rayne would be working at the Bureau. I think he didn't try other methods to remove Finn from Easton because his grades sucks so he'd be expelled eventually, and if not magic user is a stable career that Rayne could secretly interfere if something cames up. It's a good job that lets Rayne keep a distance and watch over Finn at the same time. But Rayne accepting that would be wishing for convenience, and that would render the whole distancing himself to keep Finn safe thing pointless. So I think if Finn didn't drop out, Rayne would've kept him within arm's reach instead of the no-contact plan he had if Finn was a random civilian with a wife and kids, as Rayne thought he wanted when Finn said he wanted to be 'normal'.

But that's just within my fic lol who knows what canon actually is. At the end of the day, Rayne looked 14 at most when he made the decision to leave, and that's hardly an age to make such a consequential decision for both you and your younger brother after leaving the homeless life behind. Not defending him, and he should definitely apologize to Finn for all the stress and emotional trauma he caused him, but it happens. I like how the Ames backstory is quite grounded and the consequences are realistic, so I could see Rayne making a mistake like that in his rush to gain power rapidly and make his dream come true.

I just went through most of your character rants and analysis and I love them so much!❤️ It’s so nice to find someone with a lot of the same opinions as me, especially after seeing a good bit of Tim hate in TikTok comments lately. I love the animatics and cosplays on there but it sucks that it seems like it’s seen as cool to be nasty to Tim’s character over there, or maybe it's just the comments of the videos I get? It’s usually people thinking he’s a misogynist or that his character steals from and or makes other robins look bad to hype him up. I don’t get these comments because I feel like all of the bats have been written with misogynistic dialogue at some point, even the girls! I don’t understand why people latch this on to Tim as some big character trait. Maybe it’s some joke I’m just not understanding. Also with the bringing other characters down to prop his character up, isn’t that what pretty much every character that is currently in the spotlight does at some point (like Steph’s Batgirl run infamously does to Babs and Tim)? Why do they attribute this only to Tim? Also, all the robins steal traits from each in adaptations and other comic runs, again why do they act like it’s a Tim only thing? Basically, all the other Bats do what they claim they hate Tim for?! It’s genuinely mind-boggling to me!

TikTok's algorithm is the worst thing about that app, because it's got a terrible tendency to send peoples' feeds into negativity spirals, and that in turn fosters a community of people who are either looking for rage-bait, are mad because they can't get away from the rage-bait, or try to bait other people to rage because that gets them engagement. There's no way off the merry-go-round once you get on it either, it's just miserable; it's why I eventually had to drop the app and now only watch the videos ported over to YouTube or Tumblr.

For my money, the reason Tim specifically gets blamed for this thing that is very obviously a problem with comics as an industry, not with his character specifically, comes at least in part from the drama involving Steph.

Because see, defenses of Steph tend to start from a seed of truth -- she was the subject of sexist writing in War Games, both in the fact that they chose to fridge her for Bruce's manpain and that artists during cuts away to the infamous torture sequence (which did not need to be as long as it was) drew her in a highly sexualized manner. But some people took that truth and ran with it, leaping onto this frustrating, stupid second-wave feminist idea that women are inherently innocent and can only ever be victims of The Patriarchy and therefor if anything goes wrong in the life of a woman, it MUST be the fault of A Man. And since it can be hard to pin-point which comic creators are responsible for these things, the brunt started to fall on the in-universe men.

So all the men around Steph became scapegoats, and Tim is the man she's both around the most and whom she has wronged the most. And then that attitude got amplified by her Batgirl run, which does this really manipulative bullshit where it only brings up Steph's past in terms that make her look like a helpless victim with no agency, without acknowledging or even mentioning any of the things she chose to do of her own free will. It especially went out of its way to demonize Tim and paint him as unreasonable, judgey and sexist, because the alternative would mean acknowledging that Steph had done some really fucked-up shit to him in the last days of Robin, and it was in fact perfectly reasonable for him to want her out of his life.

But see, that would mean that a good guy (gasp) didn't like her. And had a good reason not to like her. And trying to write a character who rises to become a true hero because they're fighting to make up for the shitty things they did in the past is so much harder than writing a innocent widdle victim who only has the best intentions and whose only problem is that the world is unfair to her specficially. White women with no self-awareness can project themselves on the latter, but not the former.

Amplify that by the faction of Damian stans who treat fictional rivalries as Deadly Serious Business and the fraction of Jason stans who hate him for existing as the result of Jason's death, both of whom will jump on and amplify any criticism no matter how baseless and uninformed just to score points against their perceived "enemy," and there you go. That's what I've observed unfolding since about 2007 anyway.

Currently in a time travel phase with the bat’s and after reading a few I came up with a few different scenes

1) Damian travels back to the day he was supposed to fight Talia to see his father but losses because of how mentally messed up he was from the whiplash of traveling back, hence, was not able to leave the league for that whole year. There are a few things he could do here because of him losing this fight:

He can escape and go back to his family, but for one the journey to Gotham will be difficult because the league is now on his back and has to face with the miss trust of his family all over again. So not only will there be a battle in Gotham with the league of assassin and the batfam but also the isolation that Damian will face because he technically betrayed the league by running away, and hence, their ideals while the batfamily are weary of a child who was literally raised by said league. It forces him in a situation of deciding who he wants to stay and if he is ready to restart all over again because these are not the people, he used to remember as they still haven’t gotten hurt, changed, and grew up to be the people in his time with his father. Habits become hard to break and remembering he is a stranger with the potential to kill them weighs on him

Damian can also suck it up and stay with the league because of his lost. There is still next year. He could use this as a time to truly understand what his past time in the league really means to him, if he is willing to cut of Talia and Ra’s when he indelibly leaves. Just his way of coming in terms of his past is a part of him. There’re also other little reasons like Damian finding his clone, gathering information, slowly planning to destroy the league from the inside but it honestly depends on what timeline and age that Damian had traveled back from.  

Or this is also the second option and Damian stays with the league longer to the point he hears rumors that his grandfather is captured a certain bird with the name Robin (since Damian never came the Robin name was never passed down.) Think this would be interesting study on Damian’s relationship with Tim and it gives both Tim and Damian a whole different perspective of each other because first time introductions are very important. Tim is meeting Damian in his time of being taken by Ra’s which does not paint a very good picture for him when he realizes that Damian was kept there his whole life to be born and raised as the next heir. Probably be weary since he is a child who is raised by assassins but might have a whiplash over having Ra’s al Ghul’s grandson trying to convince him to leave as soon as possible. [personal favorite]

2) Jason travels back to the days he was in the league but before he was thrown into the Lazarus pit. Because a) he still has the trauma of dying so his character of being affected by death is still there, yet his uncontrol of anger emotions are no longer the problem for others to excuse his trauma on, b) it’s a time in which he is not with his family but away from them in a place that is a danger to Jason and finally c) because its puts him in a situation of seeing how he would decide who he will be and what he will become

Jason is no longer affected in the Lazarus Pit so his family relationships would be both different and the same since the Pit took his emotions that were already existing and amply them high up. So, yes, the emotions ad thoughts of what had happen, what could have happened to him are still lingering just a bit it doesn’t completely control his decision of what connections he will make now with people he must start over again, fresh

Another is just a general view of Jason being in the league with a complete mind again. He can fake out being brain dead a bit more or slowly show that he is being freer willed, but it will affect him because he is under the rules of Talia and Ra’s who are interested in him for his connections with Batman/Bruce. Think it would be fun to see a character study over his morals of killing as someone under the hands of the league rather then him being Red Hood

Then there’s Damian. Damian, Damian, Damian. Assassin child of Talia and Bruce Damian. That Damian. 

Oh yeah! And either he escapes or if he just lets things go by their course but if I’m going to be honest, something dramatic as he leaves the league would be fitting. Bats

3) Cass is the one to travel back a few days before she escapes from Cain because I have yet to see more then one of Cass time traveling and it is not okay. 

Because we all need a Cass who not only beats her bio dad as she runs away but we also need to see what she would do since she currently traveled back in time so what would she do

no but seriously what would she do since it be around the time where Dick is Robin or not (dc timeline confuse me at times)

she could save Jason early on 

or would she stay for Jason and Damian in the league

or be the one to stop Steph from dying

honestly I feel like their is a whole list here that Cass can and will do

I was quite tempted to write Bruce headcanons to this but I must hold back ><

Dick Grayson

Ah, Dick Grayson, the King of small romantic protective gestures

Every time, without fail, Dick will wait until he watches you get inside your house safely before driving/walking away

Its a really cute tick of his because he covers it up with a goodbye kiss and goofy waves that leave you giggling even after you close your house door

But its so he knows where you are, and he can see for himself that you made it safely inside because the second he turns away too soon, you may get locked out, or someone can crawl out from the bushes and nab you

Paranoid, he knows

He constantly wraps you up in things, when you two go swimming he’ll patter up from behind you and place a towel around your shoulders, patting you dry along the way

Very insignificant gesture but he doesn't want you to catch a cold in the A/C or Gotham wind

He’ll do the same with his jackets, maybe even plop his hat on your head when it's gets to the snowy seasons 1. Because its adorable seeing the hat fall into your eyes and 2. Because it'll warm your head up

Scarves too, he’ll even go on a tangent about how cold it is outside while he wraps you in it

Dick will always offer to drive you places, even if you insist on driving yourself to meet up with him or walking there, Dick will still offer because it means he’ll be present if you get into a wreck, sucks but then he can help with first aid

If you decline his offer though, he’ll politely ask for you to take Titus or Ace with you whenever you walk somewhere, they’re trained and he trusts them to keep you company/safe when he can't 

Jason Todd

Jason’s protectiveness comes from a place of knowing how cruel the world actually is

He can't stand the idea of anything happening to you

If he has to, he will use his reputation of Red Hood as a way to keep you safe, putting a man at gun point and sneering out, “They’re off. Limits.”

He’d bust a whole trafficking ring if it meant ending a person who touched you or hurt you in any way

But Jason’s protectiveness doesn't stop while he's wearing the helmet

Even when you two are sleeping, Jasons unconsciously protecting you, no matter how you two cuddle, Jason always positions himself as closest to the bedroom door

Whether his back is to the door or he’s facing it, Jason needs the comfort of knowing any person coming into the room would have to get through him before even reaching you

He also envelopes you, he's a big guy so its pretty easy for him to wrap you up in his arms as an extra layer of protection from the outside world

Jason doesn't really like the idea of training you past basic combat or gun skills, hell, he doesn't like involving you in the family business if he doesn't have to

So he inserts himself into any situation you may need protection in

Which is exactly why he starts going to the gym with you as a work out buddy

Jason makes it sound like he just wants to spend time with you or help you achieve your goals faster since he knows how the body works from his Robin days

But deep down you both know his true intentions: he wants to keep an eye on you

The gym is crawling with creeps that have the guts to ogle at you or get too touchy, but having Jason’s 6 foot beefcake of an ass standing beside you the entire time is like an instant creep repellent

Plus, he gets to spot you and make sure you don't get injured from bad technique or from pushing yourself too hard

He’ll even encourage you with innuendos the entire time, but at the end of the day, he’ll gladly walk you home

Tim Drake

Tim is the most subtle about his inner protectiveness, a subtle King if you will

Most times when he gets protective, you never even notice

When you two cuddle in your house, it takes him a very long time to actively fall asleep because he doesn't trust your home security system if you even have one so he forces himself to stay awake just incase anything happens

But don't worry, he’ll eventually get to updating the security in your house

He does get these protective eyes whenever something is off when he's around you, they narrow a bit and latch onto whatever is off, glaring holes into the offending object until its all clear

Its quite terrifying to witness and very hard to miss when Tim is staring dead at the man speaking to you from across the room at a Gala, sipping his drink in the corner

If he feels the need, he will walk up and control the situation, whether it mean inserting himself into the convo or simply being present for it, he’ll do it

The thing with Tim though, is when he's protective, he’s almost always touching you in some way

His fingers playing idly with the ends of your hair as he speaks to a random person who walked up to you, clinging to your shirt/sleeves when he’s analyzing a situation and doesn't want you to go forward just yet, or even as simple as holding your hand as he leads you home

Tim also keeps small snacks/waters on hand at all times to protect you from Gotham heat and pesky hunger, very much like a mother hen because he also carries a first aid kit everywhere

He follows you whenever you walk alone around Gotham at night, he’s already on patrol so he might as well make sure you make it home safe, if anything happens he won't think twice about intervening as RR

If your going out somewhere alone he always always always asks you to call him until you make it to your destination, he doesn't care if he's working on something or in the middle of a board meeting, he has an assistant for a reason who can give him notes

Its become a normal thing for you to send him your Uber tracking link so he can watch it, if you don't send it he won't hesitate to hack into your account just to find it

Damian Wayne

Damian? Wayne? Being subtle?

Its usually pretty obvious when Damian gets protective over you

He’s the type who won't hesitate to pull out a knife out of god knows where and threaten whatever is responsible for you being uncomfortable

This leads to very interesting encounters of you having to hold him back because ‘oh no a random guy bumped into you and didn't apologize’ and suddenly Damian is missing 

He’s also incredibly blunt, saying things like “Cover your drink” at galas or handing you one of those hand held tasers before you go out and saying “Go for the neck”

Will insist on training you himself, whether its hand-to-hand combat or with a sword, Damian wants to keep track of your progress himself so he can make sure all your weaknesses are trained

Its also because he doesn't want his grimy brothers near you, so its protective on all counts

But subtlety? Theres a few you can notice after being with him for awhile

He’s very careful when going out around Gotham with you, Damian knows he can fend for himself so he will gladly take the brunt of any possible situation

This leads to him always walking on whichever side of you thats closest to the road, so on the off chance a car derails, he’ll get hit first

Always making sure to match your pace when you two walk together, he doesn't want you getting too far ahead of him because he'd have to run to get to you, too far behind and he might not notice you getting taken silently, he wants you right in arms reach at all times

He has a permanent scowl and narrowed eyes but when he's protective, they get even more prominent

Bonus

All the BatBoys do the same exact thing out of instinct when it comes to protecting you

None of them will hesitate to step in between you and any attacker, pulling you behind them so they are in the line of fire now

Its a subtle action that each of them do, albeit with some differences

Damian will push the attacker back as far as he can from you, putting plenty of distance between the two of them and you, so if anything breaks out, you can run away easily

Dick will hold his arms out, fully covering you but keeping his hands in the fray so if the attacker tries attacking you from any angle, Dick is ready to protect

Tim will grip onto you somehow, keeping his hand right on your bicep or forearm so he can still hold you, he doesn't know if there can be a hidden attacker from behind that will pry you away from him, so touching you is his way of making sure he doesn't lose track of you

Jason will slip in front of you and cross his arms, its a sign of nonchalance but obvious dominance, showcasing that he doesn't need his hands to be intimidating to the attacker, he’ll glare and challenge them so all attention is on him now and not you
