Cowgirl!Sevika was an outlaw in a small gang of 4 (Her, Silco, Vander and Felicia) when she met you, killing, robbing and hunting for the food on her plate. She loves to tell you stories about how she nearly got caught a few times or what kind of people crossed her path. She’ll also show off her scars from brawls and fights.

Cowgirl!Sevika is pretty good at drawing, she has a journal with sketches of animals, flowers or random objects in them- and you, of course.

Cowgirl!Sevika will pick the prettiest flowers for you while she’s out, giving them to you when she comes back. “Here, these reminded me of you, sweetie”

Cowgirl!Sevika couldn’t afford fancy dates back then, but she still managed to make your time with her quite enjoyable. She took you out on rides, showing you her favorite places, drawing you or just talking about all kinds of stuff. Sometimes you two even camped together, her teaching you some ‘cool survival skills’ (they’re either basic outdoor 1x1 or really dangerous)

Cowgirl!Sevika loves Black Jack. She likes it even more than poker and could play for hours while you’re perched on her lap, watching her win every single round

Cowgirl!Sevika is a pretty big woman, that’s why she prefers to ride draft horses like Shires and Clydesdales. She will gladly show you how horse riding works, if you don’t know that already.

Cowgirl!Sevika will flirt with you like she sees you for the first time when she’s drunk, super excited and giddy- and when you remind her that you’re already dating, she gets all flustered and happy. “Sucha’ pretty girl like you..*hick*..need a ride by any chance?” she asks, swinging her arm around you. “Sevi, you’ve been my ride for the last couple months” you chuckle, giving her a small peck on the cheek. “Oh..right..*hick*..well, lucky me then!” she blushes, peppering your face with kisses

Cowgirl!Sevika is a huge fan of PDA. She’ll show everyone how deeply you two are in love, kissing and touching you whenever someone is giving you a dumb look. If you’re not into it though, she’ll simply give you all her attention later (in bed *wink*)

Cowgirl!Sevika gives the greatest bear hugs. No matter if it’s a goodbye, you feeling sad or her being touch starved, her embrace is strong, warm and caring. She also likes to have you really close while sleeping

Cowgirl!Sevika will give you her hat when it’s too sunny or her poncho when you’re cold.

Cowgirl!Sevika loves to go on sunset rides, you sitting in front of her in the saddle, your back pressed against her chest. Sometimes, she hitches her horse onto a tree, helping you down to cuddle up in the grass and enjoy the view together. She’d also propose to you this way after a few years, you two passionately making out in the greenery until she suddenly stops to look you in the eyes. “Wanna’ get married?” she whispers, giving you the sweetest smile. At first you’re staring at her surprised, but then you pull her in for a long kiss, murmuring a happy “yes..” against her lips.

Cowgirl!Sevika will save up money after you’re married to buy a small farm for the two of you. She’ll build a house and a barn with the help of the other gang members, plant crops, purchase some cattle and earn money by selling farm goods from now on.

Since then, cowgirl!Sevika can decide her own work-hours, making sure she spends most of the day with you. And sometimes, when you two got nothing to do, you’ll sit down on the porch together, drinking tea and enjoying your peaceful little life.

Cowgirl!Sevika truly loves entering the house to the smell of cooked or baked food. She’ll join you in the kitchen, tenderly holding you from behind, kissing your neck. “Need help darling?” she’ll ask. “You can set the table, my love” you answer, kissing her soft lips. She always trys to help you with literally anything.

Cowgirl!Sevika’s favourite snack becomes strawberries and cream, especially when you make it for her. She also really loves apple pie though.

Cowgirl!Sevika absolutely adores soft mornings, the warm sun shining into your shared bedroom, you dressed in your nightgown, dozing on top of her chest. She’ll run her fingers through your hair and simply listen to your soft breathing.

Cowgirl!Sevika starts to dream of you being pregnant after some time on the farm. She thinks about it more and more often, getting a huge baby fever. “Sweetheart? can I ask you something?” she says, waking you up in the middle of the night. “Hmm?” you hum half asleep, slowly opening your eyes. “What if we.. you know.. start a family?” she asks, mumbling the last part. “Well.. I actually thought about that too..” you whisper, giving her a slightly concerned look. “No matter what you want, I’ll be here loving you” she smiles at you and gives you a kiss on your forehead, before you two get back to sleep.

And after around 10 months of cowgirl!Sevika being constantly around you and your growing belly, you two become mommy and mama to your first daughter. She couldn’t ask for more when she sees you holding her baby, her eyes always getting a little wet.

The Scout RED v. BLU sketch pages were fun, I might keep doing that until I run out of steam. Take some Snipers.

Like the Scout ones, some brief related headcanons below.

RED:

-Likes bugs a lot. Will go out of his way to pick up and play with even the 'ugliest' or most dangerous ones. Fond of roaches and beetles. If he could wake up tomorrow and be a beetle, he'd finally be content with life.

-Smokes, both tobacco and weed. He tries to not smoke too much weed though, because if he smells like it he would be easy to track down during battle. Tobacco really helps his nerves and paranoid thinking.

-Sewed animal teeth onto his own hat. He likes his hat a lot, it was a gift from his father. Hunting also reminds him of spending time with his dad & mum, and he likes to go hunt birds to cook, or to go fishing to pass the time off work.

-Enjoys a GNC look sometimes. Considers himself a bit of a girl too, but doesn't really know how to express that to the people around him. "I'm probably nonbinary but I've got a job so idrc about that rn."

-Pierced his ears himself. Has longer, unruly hair that he contains with ponytails and braids. Is very tan because of spending so much of his time outside. Generally dresses in darker clothes during work, as it makes him feel like he blends into the shadows (even though it really makes him stand out a bit more). Always has a slight smile, like he's making fun of you in his head.

-Rarely seen without a weapon of some sort on his person. Also pretty much never seen without his sunglasses on.

BLU:

-Peeked through the brain-scooping-induced veil once and realized he had the same face as someone on the other team. So they scooped his brain even more til it got muddled up. Now he gets frequent, intense migraines and struggles with his balance, and with limb control on his left side. It mostly affects his legs, meaning he can still snipe with good accuracy. He sometimes uses a cane if he feels particularly weak that day.

-Hates his face but can't remember why without his head pounding. He can barely even see it, it feels like. Like a big pixelated mass where it should be. So he covers it a lot, especially during battles and missions.

-Hats make him feel more anonymous. Ranges from very cool ones to the dorkiest bucket hats you've ever seen.

-Likes fishing and nature walks to look for birds. Also goes hunting in the tundra around the BLU base pretty much daily. It's good stress relief.

-Plays guitar, pretty decently too. Also good for stress relief.

-Uses a bow and arrows about as much as he uses his rifle. He hand carves his arrows, wood carving is a very satisfying hobby for him.

-Always seems a little pallid and grey in the face. Especially compared to the deep tan RED Sniper has.

-Cuts or shaves down his hair regularly, only lets it grow back a little. Clean-shaven unless he's doing terribly that week. Has a couple scars that stick around even after respawning. Wears bracelets and necklaces often, though less so during work. Only smiles when he's alone, and in general behaves coldly towards his team.

-Doesn't smoke or drink. Hates the feeling of an altered consciousness.

-Paid his own money for a gun he thought looked better. He's getting tired of being on the losing team all the time.

¤ Dante ¤

-Dante has never been good at art, unless you count the messy, stained fingerprint paintings he did when he was 4.

-He sees you doing it, though, and he thinks you're awesome for it. He would love to have your talents, and while it would be fun to teach him, he should never be left in the same room as a paint bucket alone. The aftermath is horrifying.

-He knows you sometimes get distracted from your work, so every now and then he pops in to deliver snacks, pep talks, and shoulder rubs for when you get all stiff from hunching over your desk.

-He knows you're an Otaku and he wishes he could buy you all the merchandise related to franchises you like, but he's damn broke, so no chance of that.

-Proudly covers every surface of his room in the artworks you gifted him. He would decorate the entirety of Devil May Cry too, but he's worried clients will still them when he's not looking.

-Has a jar of stickers in the kitchen. Every time you finish a project, you're allowed to take one and do whatever you want with them. It's a great reward systrm.

■ Vergil ■

-Vergil is the personification of pride whenever you mention anything remotely related to your artistic endeavors.

-If there was an Olympic sport for artists, he would be standing in the front row, chanting your name like he's trying to summon the spirits of the dead right there in the arena.

-Happily displays every piece you give him, be it oil painting or charcoal sketch, on the fridge, stacking some on top of others until neither of you are sure where the edges of the fridge actually are.

-He rewards your accomplishments with little trinkets relating to your favorite anime and manga. Before you know it, you've amassed a collection large enough to require an entire dedicated room.

-Vergil will also MOTIVATES you to continue working on illustrations you may have given up on or forgotten about by making Berried Delight for you, which he will only allow you to eat in small spoonfuls; one for every 5 lines drawn.

-This sounds harsh, but it works well sometimes—very well—and during those rare scenarios when it doesn't, kisses make for a great substitution.

□ Nero □

-Being one who appreciates the arts, (if you can call metal an art form) Nero is proud of you and your drawings.

-He thinks it's real cute whenever you sketch or paint him, which is often, and folds up the ones he likes the most so he can keep them in his wallet.

-He would die of embarrassment if his uncle, dad, or Nico found out about that, so please don't mention it around them, unless of course you want to mortify him.

-Somehow always has a supply of candy that he uses to lure you out of you room to spend some time with him by making a trail out of them like Hansel and Gretel did in the fairytale.

-Knows you are an Otaku and won't shame you for it. Sure, it's a little unsettling to hear you ramble on about the laws of some universe he's not aware of or divulge some extremely personal facts about a person he doesn't think is real, but it's adorable anyway.

-Will never understand why you have 400 different figurines of the same people, but won't react beyond shaking his head at it all.

That nobody asked for

These exist in my own little fucked up AU that lurks somewhere in my head these are just fun little thoughts

(I needed a brain reset from marking essays so this is it)

Will I do sketches of these? Maybe

Kurt has a crepuscular sleep cycle- aka awake an active at dawn and dusk but sleeps during the night and is also kind of dead to the world during the day

Kurt unconsciously stalks and ‘hunts’ things - he finds himself accidentally ‘hunting’ birds, other animals, and sometimes his friends. It freaks him out when he notices he’s doing it, and he can never quite tell what flips the switch in his brain

He is more emotive with his ears and tail than he realises - his friends know him well enough to pick up on these tells, and tease him relentlessly for it.

Though his front few teeth appear human like, the further back into his mouth you look the more inhuman they get - starting with canines that are that bit too long and sharp, to molars that look jagged.

His subconscious mind pushes images of the brimstone dimension into his dreams

To all beings capable of sensing ‘good’ and ‘evil’ Kurt appears as ‘evil’ - he has caused many a crisis when they realise he is just a chill happy lad

He does not have a human gait when he walks or runs - I liken his movements to a deer walking over a rocky/unsteady surface

So I've been thinking about Axle's early past a bit.. uhhh

Yeah here are a few doodles and a sketch. Along with a small bit of Axle's early childhood life. I got carried away

Just some simple doodles of Axle's childhood. He technically grew up in a lab although he wasn't born in captivity. Most of his early childhood was doing puzzles or tests, lots of observation as well.

His development is similar to that of a human in terms of brain growth and physical form. He grows at about the same rate as a human just on a far smaller scale.

For the most part in his younger years he mostly did cognitive testing and development. They mostly used simple tests, and some general animal psychology experiments. Such as seeing what he did for fun, for food, and some logical reasoning.

The odd time the scientists still would do a surgery or two on a young Axle, but it wasn't the norm at that time.

However as time went on they began to do more invasive tests.

Axle had always liked the scientists growing up, as he was younger he'd seen them as a sort of family, having favorites and having preferred caretakers. But at the age of about 12 years old even the nicer caretakers had begun to grow sour.

People were being more careful around him, using gloves more often, constricting his movements more often, and other things of the sort which Axle noticed.

The experiments eventually began to get more invasive, such as when he was 13 he had his first brain vivisection specifically. It was a procedure to place wires into his brain to do more invasive tests on his nervous system.

He tried asking more questions, which quickly he learned would get him nowhere. Soon even the nice humans he'd barely see anymore or they would just leave all together. It was at the age of 13 he'd decided he didn't like the humans or how they kept him captured. He didn't know what else there could be, but he knew from the little bits and pieces he was able to listen to that there had to be more than the lab.

At the age of 14 Axle was being treated more like the mice he'd been raised with than a person that the scientists would talk to passively. Axle only grew more resentful as the months went on and the rotation of scientists got more harsh.

At 16 he was being treated as though he was completely feral. He refused to cooperate with the humans but they would refuse to let him feel like he had any form of control over the situation whatsoever.

Ok so this was just a doodle that got out of hand and colored. It's not great but it's the best I got rn. I'm pretty stressed out lol

Anyways. Axle had a pretty traumatic upbringing, but it did teach him to never trust humans which was probably the best thing he could have learned for when he did eventually escape one day.

He did have his mother with him at one point in captivity, but one day she disappeared and he never really figured out what happened to her. Current Day Axle likes to think she managed to escape one day and was free somewhere.

Axle after that day grew up around mice, usually a circulation of mice that were young enough not to be a danger to Axle. But this really took a toll on him when eventually all his mice friends would get taken away and he'd have to get attached to new friends all over again.

Sometimes the scientists would have him do experiments alongside grown mice, sometimes he would remember them but usually not. Under normal circumstances the mice were never aggressive with Axle, but were usually more curious about him.

Ok my unorganized ranting is over. I'm not sure. I think it's fun to share my silly cringe lore.

Linked Universe Artist Recs

To bide time while I try to figure out some fic recs for LU, have a couple of my favourite Linked Universe artists and go check em out!! I might onto the post later too!

A Linked Universe artist who's sketches always seem so delicate and fully-rendered, no matter how rendered they really are. There's a delicate softness to the artwork that portrays a calmness both in moments of peace and moments that require peace despite hiding storms. The posing is so elegant and easy to understand the actions despite not seeing the actions in motion, and the character interactions they draw give a sense of genuinity and heart. Their Body Swap AU between Legend and Hyrule is an interesting concept and serves to strengthen the bond between the two while forcing them to open up in an entertaining way.

I also follow their main blog which is where I often get to see others art through their reblogs. They do a lot of fanart for other AUs such as the Necromancer AU and the Magical Girl AU. Her artwork manages to keep a softness to it that permeates even in the art for darker AUs through dulled pastel colours, though often her art features a range of bright sunny colours that just irradiates positivity. There have been several times where I, as an older fan of LU dating back to late 2021/early 2022, have squealed in joy from finding them taking inspiration from or drawing AUs of artists I haven't seen in a while. She's also created a very popular Four meme which I consistently use on the daily to my partner. They keep my nostalgia for earlier times of the LU fandom at bay through their artwork.

The artwork veryloudgroan produces feels like oil paintings or chalk art with its texture and vibrancy. The way they manage to weave so many colours into her artwork while keeping it all harmonious is something I honestly want to study. The atmosphere she's able to produce through the art is magnificent and I personally love the art they do of Legend and Linkle, though I love being able to compare the general portraits they do of each of the LU boys. Her lighthearted jokey art is always so silly in the best way possible and sometimes it's animated and/or fully rendered.

Their artwork reminds me a ton of old shoujo manga I read as a kid and it feels so comforting as an adult hyperfixating on something that's not shoujo. Often they'll draw Four and Legend (who I'm personally biased towards as my favourites), and especially the Colours. The outfit design and character interactions very often leave me inspired to draw more and even their more meme-y artwork feels like its got a lot of effort put into it. The colours they choose and their shading is rich and vibrant and suits the drawings perfectly, especially when a lot of their drawings are simple character interactions, lighthearted jokes, and fun doodles. They also like to ramble about Four a lot which, as a Four fan, I am very happy about.

A unique artstyle that feels very nostalgic to me, almost akin to the Rainbow Magic fairy books I grew up with as a little girl. There's such a whimsical charm to the art that feels light on its feet with so much colour and charm. Little flourishes in the art give it so much character and have so much thought put behind it. I personally love the weight she manages to put in the clothing and hair while also somehow making the characters seem to float on their feet. Often she'll post colour studies that absolutely enrapture me and I will just sit there looking at all the ways she use colours in her artworks.

Both a Linked Universe and Legend of Zelda artist. Their linework, expressions, and poses carry so much character and the character interactions they portray are so poignant and well-expressed. Their personal designs also carry so much silent story-telling and have a unique twist that makes them so interesting to look at. Their shape language in the designs are exquisite.

When they draw the Chain, it feels like they draw it with a love for all the stupid and heartfelt shit they do. They draw the Chain all so differently to each other and it makes them feel alive and like different people. There's such a variety in how they draw them. Their sketches have a loose and free feeling and are very easy to understand the nuances of emotions they're trying to portray. I especially love the portraits they do of the Chain. You should consider getting some of their LU keychains too, they're very beautiful and seem incredibly high quality.

Can you guys tell what book I apparently really like?

I don’t think there’s a solid age he regresses down to, like consistently, I think it’s around the 2-5 mark, unless something happens or he’s feeling extremely distressed, then he regresses down younger. Which, in that case, means he HAS to have someone take care of him. Which is probably going to be Ford, he’s the only one he can really trust to care for him in the way he needs when he feels that young.

As for gear, it depends.

If Fiddleford is his caregiver (and even though this would be in the early 80s we are going to be anachronistic. This is fiction we can take liberties) then he’s getting at least one pacifier. Fidds probably made it for Stan so he doesn’t mess up his teeth even more, and he probably made it to have a cute little nickname spelled out. I like to think Fidds uses food/southern nicknames for Stanley when regressed, so think something like “Pumpkin” or “Junebug”. He does have his “Poindexter” plush that he’s had since he was 19, but Fidds does win him a really big Duck plush when the fair comes to Gravity Falls. He has some sippy cups because he has a tendency to tilt the cup all the way up and pour his drink all down his face and clothes. He really only has some footie pajamas for when it gets to be winter up there. It’s not easy to come by someone who will custom make clothes in gravity falls, especially nothing like the kind of clothes Stan wants. So he mostly settles for some softer clothing with fun designs and patterns. Nothing vibrant that’ll hurt his eyes. Sweats and grandma sweaters mostly. Fidds makes sure he has a lot of paper and coloring books with as many crayons and markers as he wants. He loves to color and draw. He also has some blocks, a lite brite for when the lights needs to be off so his eyes can rest, play doh, and fighting robots to name a few. He has a few story books that Fidds will read to him. Fidds wants to spoil him, but he knows that he can’t buy Stan everything he wants to, so he does what he can (for now…)

If Ford is his caregiver (we’re doing Grunkle Ford for now) then he is going to do his best to spoil Stan with all he wants as much as possible. From buying stuff online (the internet is marvelous!) to making/inventing it. Ford’s got Stan enough pacifiers stashed around the ship and later shack to have a different one every day. He’s getting Stan sippy cups of all kinds of patterns and designs. it’s easier than cups for him if he’s got dentures since he likes to take those out. He’s got one bottle for the times he’s feeling extra small. He’s got some nice and warm footie pajamas for when they’re in the Arctic, and some lighter ones for more general use-sometimes his brother just needs a lazy day where he can wear what’s basically pajamas. Those kinds of footies are going to be the kind that are animal themed with the ears and tails-Ford thinks they’re so cute. He’s also got some nautical themes pajama sets for the summers spent in Gravity Falls. That’s not even accounting for all the soft handmade sweaters Stan’s got from Mabel that he wears-his favorite having dinos on it-and the soft pants and shorts he feels more comfortable wearing now that his secrets out in the open. I’ve already mentioned Poindexter, that’s a staple for any kind of regressed Stanley, and I mentioned in a few posts Shanklin 2, the stuffed Opposum Ford gets Stan after finding out he’s barely got any Little stuff. He will give Stan all the toys he had back in Jersey and all the toys he’s ever wanted. Legos, blocks, slinkies, playdoh, etch n sketches, fighting robots, hard to break tea sets, coloring books, fancy crayons (This is art, it deserves the best!), anything Stan looks twice at really. He goes a bit overboard, but he’s just trying to make up for all the years he’s missed out on. Also Goodnight Moon, can’t forget that book. That’s Stan’s favorite out of the multitude of books Ford reads to him.

Now if it’s just Stan regressing by himself? He only allows himself the bare minimum. He has Poindexter, an old onesie he allowed himself to buy a few years beforehand, and old and worn pacifier, some crayons, coloring books, blank paper, Ford’s old coat that he likes to wrap around himself when he misses him, a sippy cup, and Goodnight Moon. He feels guilty letting himself indulge. He feels ashamed to be acting like that, a child, to be needing his paci and sippy cup, even in the privacy of his own home, even though he can’t help it. So without anyone there to tell him it’s okay, he doesn’t allow himself to indulge or to spoil himself like he is when he’s being taken care of.

OKAY SO-

First of all I wanna say that I love everything about your comic so far. The story has amazing pacing and the writing of the characters is on point (at least what I would consider to be) and fun, the panel layout of the pages is interesting and easy to read and compliments the flow of everything, and the art- ffs the ARRRRTTTT

I love it a lot and I have a couple questions (if you don't mind answering- you don't have to)

so I was curious what program you use and what kinda brushes, cus like the inking is so solid and like crisp (I can't put the mafia hand emoji)- but your sketches have a soft brush that loooks like it might be a lower opacity maybeee-

Also, specifically when it comes to your rendering, when it comes to lighting and non-solid-black shadows do you use a lower opacity layer or just paint it with a selected colour? IT'S JUST CUS THE WAYYYY Your colours come out they work so well together, and like as an artist that has a vague idea of what makes something look good I struggle with shading and lighting a lot. And the way you colour just makes everything come together so well and realistically?

again you don't have to answer any of the questions you don't feel comfortable with and I hope your having a good day and giving your back and drawing hand a well deserved break ^^

The program I use is Photoshop, which I don't recommend, and the brush I use when inking is usually "Amazing Cartoon Nib" from Kyle T Webster's Megapack!

The sketches that I've posted, if these are the sorta sketches you're referring to, are actually not digital at all! I use a Pentel Twist-Erase mechanical pencil in a Strathmore 5.5 x 8.5 recycled sketchbook, and then scan those sketches from my phone using the Scanner Mini app in Black And White mode!

If you mean sketches like these though, that's also a Kyle's Megapack brush! "Animator Pencil 2016"!

My color situation is crazy, I'll just, uh, show you what I mean with my phone camera (since I super duper don't know how to take a screenshot on a PC):

For the shadows I use a gradient map (green to red) on top of a 90% dark grey + greyscale "Rendering" layer, in which I carve out the shadows and lighter areas. Then I put a flats layer with a 45% dark grey layer mask over that. The lighter a scene is, the brighter I can make that flats layer. So yeah, that part's kinda a low opacity?

The lighting layer is pretty self-explanatory. Instead of ever lowering the opacity on anything with the slider, I use layer masks as a way to mess around with how strong I want that lighting to be without ever making anything super destructive and permanent. I highly recommend the use of gradient maps and layer masks when making comics!

Also, if you're wondering about that Flats Copy 2 layer above "Flats Copy," that's actually just what I do to color characters that are at certain distances. Blue for background, green for mid-ground, purple for foreground. 70% grey layer mask for that one.

- He’s a really fast eater. Not because he’s rude, but because he’s always been used to eating on the go. Iris probably has to remind him to slow down.

- He sleeps in weird positions, sometimes with his wings sprawled out awkwardly. He’s the type to wake up tangled in his blankets.

- He hates being cold. His body runs naturally warm, but if he gets even a little chilly, he complains about it and immediately seeks out warmth (like clinging to Iris).

- He talks with his hands a lot and sometimes forgets his feathers move along with them, which can be really distracting in a conversation.

- He’s surprisingly good at card games and has an excellent poker face. You’d never catch him slipping in a game of bluff.

- Despite being fast, he has a habit of showing up late to casual things. He’s always on time for missions, but if it’s something like a dinner plan, expect him to be at least five minutes late—and with an excuse.

- When he’s exhausted, his voice gets really raspy, almost to the point where it’s unrecognizable.

Hobbies & Interests

- He actually enjoys reading, but he prefers books with short chapters so he can take breaks between missions without losing track of the story.

- He has a soft spot for older, classic anime. He doesn’t have time to binge-watch shows, so he’ll watch one or two episodes when he can.

- He enjoys cooking but hates baking—too many precise measurements. He’d rather eyeball things.

- He’s good at darts. Insanely good. Almost unfairly good.

- Loves music, especially anything upbeat or relaxing. If Iris is into music too, he’ll love sharing earbuds and swapping playlists with her.

- He has a secret love for really dumb conspiracy theories. He doesn’t believe them, but he finds them hilarious. He’ll absolutely bring up some wild theory just to see Iris’s reaction.

Relationship & Affection

- He’s naturally flirty, but when he’s truly in love (like with Iris), he dials it back in public because he doesn’t feel the need to overdo it. His affection becomes more intimate, quiet, and sincere.

- He remembers everything about the people he cares about. Even small, seemingly insignificant details.

- Physical affection is second nature to him. He’s the type to reach for Iris without thinking, whether it’s holding her hand, resting his chin on her head, or wrapping a wing around her.

- He loves forehead kisses and will do them casually, just because.

- If he’s jealous, he won’t make a scene, but he will get a little passive-aggressive in the most Hawks way possible—sarcastic comments, extra clinginess, or flexing his speed just to remind everyone who she belongs to.

- He loves being babied in private. If Iris plays with his hair, kisses his forehead, or calls him soft pet names, he melts. He won’t admit how much he loves it, though.

- He’s a light sleeper, but if Iris is next to him, he sleeps a lot better. If she moves around too much (which she does), he just pulls her closer instead of letting her roll away.

Miscellaneous

- He has selective hearing. If it’s boring paperwork talk, he tunes out, but if Iris mumbles something cute under her breath, he hears it.

- He has surprisingly neat handwriting for someone who moves so fast all the time.

- He definitely steals fries off Iris’s plate like it’s a given right.

- His wings react to his emotions involuntarily. If he’s embarrassed, they puff up slightly. If he’s annoyed, they flick. If he’s happy, they give little excited twitches.

- He absolutely sneaks into Iris’s house if she forgets to lock the door (which she does).

- He has so many sunglasses. Not because he needs them, but because they make him feel cool.

- He’s terrible at sitting still. If he’s forced to stay in one place too long, expect him to start messing with his feathers, tapping his foot, or leaning into Iris just to stay occupied.

- He lowkey wants a pet bird but worries it would feel like adopting a distant cousin.

- He doesn’t mind storms, but thunder sometimes makes his feathers bristle if it’s too sudden.

- If he sees Iris wearing his jacket or using his wings as a blanket, he immediately enters smug boyfriend mode.

ATTENTION KIRBY FANS!

Do you want to see a Kirby movie more than anything, but Nintendo keeps letting you down? Well, today's your lucky day! I'm in the process of creating my very own, fanmade Kirby movie based off of Star Allies - and I'd like your help. I believe that with the efforts of a community coming together to work on this passion project and give something that we love our all, it will turn out better than anything official that they could come out with. Overall, while this project is serious to me and something that I am very dedicated to, I also want it to be fun and for everybody to have a good time creating this art together. If you do decide to jump on and help, there's no need to worry about deadlines or stress or needing to have a ton of skill. But, without further ado....

Animators

I'm looking for people that have experience working in Blender here. Pretty much any skill level is okay, though I will still request that you show me some sort of example (just to verify that you know how the application works at all, basically). Ideally I'd like to have enough people working on this that I could step back from leading the animation, eventually, and focus fully on writing/storyboarding and other design aspects instead - but I understand that this might be unrealistic.

Storyboarding

The more the merrier! Regardless of the level of your art skill or your style, if you can sketch out scenes in a way that's decipherable to others, you're more than welcome here.

Voice Acting

The big one. Voice actors for Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Bandana Waddle Dee would be very much appreciated. I also have a longer list of characters that need voices that includes many of the Dream Friends, Hyness, the Mage Sisters, and more. This is the one thing I will likely be a little picky on, and require you to audition for the role.

Writers

Honestly, I'm not looking for many other writers right now. I think I have it mostly under control, but I could possibly take one or two co-writers on with me.

Sound Effects/Miscellaneous

Do you think you have something to bring to the table that I didn't list before? Great, this is for you! Let me know what you want to do, and honestly, I doubt I'll have any reason to turn you away. I don't like my old art but looking back at it I'm really happy how I've developed since, I used to make everything too sharp, straight-sided, or skinny. I had to make a conscious effort to change that and now it's so much better.

Image 1: "These are more of those older designs - the horns were a deliberate play into devil imagery on Puck's part while giving Félix this form (all to cause more torment of course) but again I couldn't vibe with it. Such clear statements of intent didn't work for me.

The scars remain canon but not quite so stark, more a difference in texture (again, moving away from visual details). His forehead scar is ALWAYS there."

Image 2: "Félix. These are really old - from 2019-2020. They're the first attempts at Félix's horse form. At the time I was leaning into some goat-like attributes. I liked the idea of something that looked like an emaciated amalgam of many familiar creatures but if you look closer, it actually doesn't look like any animal at all. The original body shape and proportions were inspired by moose. I didn't know how to draw convincing horse shapes which is why he had these hands and claws for so long. I still draw the little flower wheel pattern on his sides sometimes... a secret just for me. His belly fur, squared off ear shape, and beard are still defining characteristics"

I still prefer SAI for creature drawings, or at least the original sketches underpinning a lot of my art. Below on the bottom was my attempt at a scarier form for the character but I ultimately decided that it ran contrary to the atmosphere I was trying to create. Top left is my first 'real' horse painting and it includes the tail shape which has not ever changed, and feathers, which I nixed because I wanted to learn how to draw the feet and legs properly and not rely on covering them up with flowing hair (my favourite thing to draw)"

Image 4: "Like the black horse designs, these humanoid designs for Félix (circa 2019 - OLD art!) started very complex and simplified over time. I decided to avoid visual complexity, but made the mistake of solidifying specific 'rules' for how the Púca servants' bodies work, and I deeply regret this. Because I wrote Said the Black Horse in 2021, I was still operating under the old mindset and that caused it to become somewhat established canon.

In his original iteration his tattoos represented magical contracts between him and various faeries, so they were supposed to be always visible as a reminder of that contract.

<- a really early furry version, I was playing with the eye on the neck as a design feature. Ultimately I feel that although it looks cool, the medium he exists in is proser. So I needed to move away from visually complex designs and towards designs which were interesting to different senses instead."

Image 5: "As time went on the design simplified. I enjoyed making fun textures using procreate brushes. These designs lack his forehead scar but do include his impalement scar. If you've seen my Hanged Man card you'll know how he got that one. But when I made the charts like this about how his body 'worked' in 2020, again I ran into the same issue I always do when writing about faeries... the more I explain it, the most 'logic' and 'science' goes into it, the less it feels like a faery story to me. Overexplaining is anathema to the faeries of Inver. so even though I like these design notes they just don't fit in this setting."

first of all I LOVE YOUR STYLE 😭 it's so cute, I always get excited when you post art. and it's so interesting to get to see a part of your creative process in making characters, even if they didn't end up existing. ( THE ONEE-SAN YUU... Miss Raven was saved from falling for another charming smile... and so were the rest of us )

in regard to ocs, I wanted to ask... do you have any other twst ocs? I think I read some old posts about some RSA ocs, but I wanted to ask specifically if there's another "big" one in terms of story/being as fleshed out as Miss Raven 🧐 or if you ever plan to make another Big Oc™️ in terms of lore like u did for her

also... I wanted to ask... now that you finished her main story, is there any other long form (?) stories you want to explore with her? I know you're hosting the future!au event rn, and you've written more side stories (?) about her in similar events... but I mean as in- again, a longer sort of story. I'm just genuinely curious, since I really like your work + her specifically and I'm curious about whatever you have planned for her 👀 but ofc it's totally okay if you have other plans orrr if you'd prefer to let the heavy Raven lore rest for a bit!!

I get anxious about posting my art because its usually hand drawn, non-committal sketches 💦 I personally really like reading about other people's creative processes so I tend to scribble notes all over my drawings, and then they get all messy and cluttered... I'm glad you like them regardless though.

I like drawing Onee-san!Yuu’s art eyes and hair… She is very dainty and cute! Her personality is fun to toy with too, since how she acts and how she’s truly feeling are so starkly different. I’ve thought about her so many times, it’s almost like she’s psychically reaching out to me in an attempt to have me formally implement her 😂 Again though, not sure if I’ll ever settle on a Yuu because the concept of a Yuu does not really interest me.

Aaaah, my RSA OCs were back from like 2020-2021. I never did manage to flesh them out and I think I’ve lost the fire to. I have several NRC OCs that I haven’t shared because they aren’t that fleshed out either. Of those, I think my favorite is my twisted!Iago (who is in part also inspired by my own pet)… He’s just a punk ass (first year Scarabia) kid and Jamil’s self-proclaimed minion (Jamil has no idea who he is).

Ironically, I think the most detailed NRC OCs I have at the moment are the three based on mob students:

Even then, I don’t think they’re super deep… Pome A can be summarized as "ex-delinquent who now has the goal of becoming 'a gentleman'" (similar to Deuce, who wants to be an honors student). Scarab B is basically a Jamil fan boy (though he's less angry/pushy about it than Sebek is; he has more eager puppy energy). The most detailed one of the bunch is Octa A, who is very anxious (Idia-sh) due to being sorted into Octavinelle, where his dorm members are constant sources of stress. Outside of that, he's a very... homely "boy next door" type. I picture him coming from a tightly knit island town and helping out his family at a community center where they help people find jobs that best suit them. (If you couldn't tell, a lot of Octa A's backstory is inspired by the Lilo and Stitch animated series.) The mob student OCs were conceived because I thought it would be funny to sometimes write from the perspective of unrelated onlookers watching all of the crazy stuff that happens on NRC campus and just going, "What, AGAIN????" They feel more like unserious gag characters, if anything.

I have actually considered writing a sequel to the Tale of the Cursed Raven for the longest time! If you've read the original tale, Vil, Azul, and Idia play prominent roles throughout it. The second saga would theoretically give the other dorm leaders (Malleus, Leona, Kalim, and Riddle) importance. Note that 3 out of 4 of the dorm leaders in the latter group are nobles or have noble relatives. That's because the (potential) sequel would involve themes of social status and who gets to shape the future. A-And hey, maybe it could focus on Raven's relationship with L*ona instead of J word this time-- The synopsis is as follows: Having finally broken her curse, Raven Crowley is now free to live as she wishes in a happily ever after of her own making... or is she? One day, a strange invitation arrives from an unknown sender, beckoning her to Briar Valley. Amid whispers of Malleus Draconia's ascension to the throne and a grand ball to decide the dragon's bride-to-be, the timing is certainly strange. "This is far too suspicious," she thinks. "I simply won't go." Then a sparkling carriage pulls up to the gates of Night Raven College, claiming to be looking for a princess in black feathers. Accompanying that carriage are two men cloaked in white and a woman that shines like starlight.

"Who are you?" Raven asks, feeling as though they've met before in some distant past. "Why, I'm your Fairy Godmother. I'm here to make all of your dreams come true."

Perhaps this meeting was always meant to be.

(I WANT TO BE CLEAR: despite how the synopsis sounds, it is NOT meant to be Raven x Malleus. I would appreciate it if readers refrained from discussing this topic, please and thank you.)

As you can probably tell by that 💦 the story sounds very ambitious... and unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable writing it because we're still missing so much from the canon main story. I'd like the OB Malleus and Grim arcs to complete so I understand the full scope of the story and how the loose ends are tied up (particularly Malleus's reaction post-OB and how, if at all, he embraces change). More lore on dragon fae would be helpful as well. I'd also ideally like a Briar Valley hometown event so I can see what the culture, traditions, people, politics, etc. are like before I attempt to depict it in my writing.

In this sequel, there would be many OCs introduced--at least 4 of them! I've been cooking a lot behind the scenes ^^ One of these OCs you've actually met in the original tale; it would be the Enchantress (Estella) that originally cursed the Storyteller. 2 of the other OCs are what I would describe as Estella's helpers, who are meant to be her equivalent to Silver and Sebek. One is inspired by the concept of the “messenger dove + dove with the olive branch” and the other is inspired by Swan Lake. The 4th and final OC is basically all but confirmed would be a foil character to Malleus, an ambitious nobleman twisted from Nerissa (the villain from Enchanted).

Here’s some doodles I have of the 4 OCs I mentioned! The first two are “the dove” and “the swan”, respectively. The bottom two are concepts for twisted!Nerissa and Estella.

This sequel would expand more on Estella's motives and background (something I mentioned in my afterthoughts), as well as tie in history and political intrigue as Raven’s forced to navigate those circles. It would most likely be set a year or so in the future, and the events that take place would inform Raven’s internship decision in her fourth year. (She would be a scribe in Briar Valley!) I’d like part II to feel like a story event that supplements or follows up on the development in part I/the main story.

xbjsbsjsjsb Anyway 🤡 That’s all I feel okay with revealing for now. I want to be clear and reiterate that this is all just a theoretical sequel and I’m not sure if I’ll actually get around to writing it. It’s definitely been fun to conceptualize though ^^

do you have any tips for learning how to draw? your art looks so free and expressive even in rough sketch form, and the colors are absolutely gorgeous, but i don't even know how to color normally and don't have the means to do it digitally, so i'll leave that for later haha. anyway just wondering if you did anything in particular to practice or to learn your skills. your art is just so good. sorry if you've been asked before. thank you for sharing your art with the dn fandom!!

in all honesty, I struggle deeply with seeing my art as good enough. my relationship with my creative process is something I’d consider unhealthy more often than not– though I’d like to think it’s getting better as of late. :')

I wasn’t formally taught how to draw, but I was obsessed with hand-drawn media from a young age, whether it was comics, 2D animation, illustrations, etc., and growing up, I would try to emulate the artists I loved as practice. I was just using a cheap yellow pencil and notebook paper, but it was all I needed at the time. and I think that's a really good place to start! don't worry about buying a bunch of art supplies all at once; you'll naturally accumulate tools as you go.

I’d say look at art, a lot of different types of art, and study it to discover what you like, and equally importantly, what you don’t. drill into why. if an artist you love shows their works in progress or sketches, really take a look at those. it’s so much easier to understand a rough image and how it was drawn/what marks the artist used rather than dissecting a polished piece. 

if you have friends who like to draw, spend time drawing with them! make up stories and characters together. I drew all the time growing up. all the time. I was a super quiet, well behaved kid in school because I was terrified of getting in trouble, and yet I was constantly reprimanded for drawing during class. it was the one thing I was willing to get yelled at for. my point isn’t to get in trouble (lol), but more so– draw whenever you can, wherever you can. even when it’s mindless. keep paper nearby. doodle. draw what you see around you.

these days, it’s my perfectionism that really kills my love for drawing. it stops me from drawing at all sometimes, because I’m worried (before I even start!) whatever I make won’t be “good enough”, whatever that means. it got much easier when I stopped trying to keep a neat sketchbook and allowed myself to let go. draw quick, draw messy, draw “bad”. you have to make art you aren't satisfied with to get better. and it sucks! you might try something new and feel like, damn this looks so incredibly amateur, but it's an unavoidable part of the process. if you can look at what you made, accept it for what it is, and then keep going, you’ve already jumped the biggest hurdle.

when I’m stuck in a mental feedback loop of oh my god, I don’t know how to draw, why is my art so bad, I compare something I made this year to the year before. even if the differences aren’t immediately apparent, chances are you learned something between then and now– whether it be a better understanding of your personal taste/drawing style or composition or, like, how to draw ears. it gives you concrete proof that you’ve improved.

⬇ this is a Light I drew in 2022 compared to one from early 2024. even now, I look at the more recent image on the right and think, yeah I would probably draw that differently. but I'm also proud of the me back then who did her best.

really, truly, I’m still learning how to draw all the time. part of the reason I made this account and started posting Death Note fanart was because it was a low pressure way to be creative and let go and have fun. and maybe that’s my biggest piece of advice, simple as it is. enjoy it! draw self-indulgently. strive to improve, but also be lenient with yourself. if you find the love in drawing, it'll pull you through the times when it’s frustrating.
