Luke Castellan lay in his makeshift infirmary, his usually vibrant eyes dulled by sickness.

Annabeth, had insisted on a medical check-up, much to his stubborn resistance.

The camp's medic, not daring to face Luke, had reluctantly agreed to let (Name), the daughter of Apollo, tend to him.

"(Name)," Luke rasped, his voice a mere whisper. "I don't need your healing powers. I'm perfectly fine."

She raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by his defiance. "Sure, Luke. That's why you're lying here looking like you went a few rounds with a cyclops."

He managed a grin. "Maybe I did. It's just a scratch."

She shook her head, a small smile on her lips. "You're impossible, Luke."

As she examined him, he couldn't help but notice the warmth in her hands and the calming aura that enveloped her.

It was a stark contrast to the cold atmosphere of the infirmary.

"You're lucky Annabeth forced you into this check-up," she remarked, her fingers over his forehead. "You wouldn't last another day without proper care."

"I don't need anyone to take care of me," he mumbled, though his resistance was losing its edge.

"Oh, I can see that," she teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "That's why you're practically glowing with health."

He rolled his eyes but didn't protest.

There was something about her presence that eased his discomfort. Maybe it was the gentle way she treated him or the fact that she was the only one he tolerated when he was at his weakest.

"You know," he began, his voice a bit less strained, "I might consider getting sick more often if you're the one taking care of me."

She chuckled, a melodic sound that filled the infirmary. "Nice try, Luke. But I think once is more than enough for everyone involved."

Their banter continued, the atmosphere lightening with each exchanged word.

As she administered a healing concoction, their eyes met, and a silent understanding passed between them.

"You're not so bad when you're not plotting world domination," she teased, a soft smile gracing her features.

He grinned, the playful glint returning to his eyes. "World domination is overrated anyway. I think I'd rather have someone take care of me like you do."

She chuckled again, the flirtatious undertone not lost on either of them. "Well, don't get too comfortable. This is a one-time offer."

"Shame," he replied with a mock pout. "I was starting to enjoy being pampered by the favorite daughter of Apollo."

As the day turned into evening, (Name) continued to stay by Luke's side. The infirmary, once a place of discomfort, became a home of shared laughter and a connection that went beyond the demigod duties.

In the quiet moments, as Luke drifted into a restful sleep, (Name) couldn't help but admire the vulnerability beneath his tough exterior.

And so, in the warm glow of the infirmary's lamps, the daughter of Apollo watched over the fallen hero, silently acknowledging that sometimes, even the strongest warriors needed a healer's touch to mend both body and soul.

ATTENTION! THIS IS A RANT POST ABOUT THOR: RAGNAROK

If you are not interested/a Ragnarok fan please skip, or just don't leave negative comments, thank you.

Ok, here we go.

I personally hate how overrated Thor: Ragnarok is.

People only started criticising Waititi's direction after the Love and Thunder flop, and I was honestly flabbergasted, because... They were criticising the exact same things they loved so much in Ragnarok.

For example, they criticised Thor being too stupid and unserious but... He was already an idiot in Ragnarok? Which, by the way, even as a Loki stan, was the thing I hated the most about the movie (I guess the Odinsons just have a tendency of becoming idiotic scapegoats in every modern piece of media that depicts them. Yes, I'm also referencing the Loki series here.)

But moving on.

Another thing that was funny to me was people (rightfully) criticising the lack of seriousness and conflict with such a great villain. And, once again, I was there standing like... It's the SAME THING that happened in Ragnarok?? Like, the movie that's supposed to be about Ragnarok literally only had like 20 minutes of apocalypse/main conflict with Hela/Surtr in it! Most of the goddamn movie takes place on a dumb garbage planet with the Grandmaster (another wasted character) just fucking around. Little side note here, the Grandmaster is supposed to be the Collector's brother (in the comics and cartoon they both collect rare things and people and compete over it, yadda yadda) and yet this isn't referenced in any way? His powers are never shown. Like what? The potential? Wasted like that? UGH.

Also, this movie adds shallow characters. First of all, obviously, the Grandmaster, who I already covered. Then, and here I'm taking a deep breath waiting to get crucified, Valkyrie.

Ok, I'm going to try and explain this one easily. Valkyrie isn't a bad character, ok? I'm already going to say this since I want to clarify it as soon as possible. I don't think she's bad and I don't dislike her. The problem is, she is given a shallow personality and shallow purpose, at least when I look at her. For instance, I appreciated the way her trauma was portrayed, with her drinking and all, but they do joke about it sometimes (too many) and that I do not appreciate. But then. Her personality just... Ends there. And again, this is comprehensible in a way, but what I do not understand is her just switching sides randomly, like she didn't capture and shock Thor just hours before in the movie. That, plus her serving little purpose to the plot is what irks me the most. Like, the main things she does in the movie are:

1. Capturing Thor and bringing him to the GM.

2. Telling them about the only way out of the planet.

3. Being there in the final battle.

And if this was a better written movie, this would make her a necessary character. But in Ragnarok... She isn't.

She catches Thor, then dips. Ok, just have him randomly land in the GM's throne room, or have him getting caught by another rando who then dips.

The escape? Loki has lived with the GM (and his most trusted court members/whatever they are supposed to be) for two weeks. Do you really think that someone like him couldn't gather such a massive piece of info in this time? Or even better, do you think he hasn't noticed the GIANT EINSTEIN-ROSEN BRIDGE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SKY? He is intelligent. That's the point of his character. He would- SHOULD- have figured it out in a matter of days, the only thing stopping him was getting to a decent ship to cross said bridge, and that's what he actually needed his brother (and maybe Hulk, even if his presence was pretty random) for.

The final battle was disappointing, so I'm not even going to comment this one.

All of this to say that, with the way the character/movie was written, Valkyrie could have been removed, a few changes could have been made and the movie would have been the same. Yeah, she's friends with Hulk, which, cool, but once again this bond isn't used in any way besides her joking with him and Bruce. Her character was treated way better in the What If episodes she appeared in.

[Edit: someone reblogged and thought I was implying that her character should be thrown away. To be clear, I wasn't, I actually like her and do acknowledge that Jane, too, was shallow as a character, I just didn't mention her because she doesn't appear in this movie. All I was saying is that the writing makes her just be there, which is something that pisses me off, too. This was just to point out that Ragnarok just added so many characters with potential that was never used, and Valkyrie is one of them. Hell, you could take away half of the secondary characters, if not (almost) all of them, and the movie would stay the same.]

Then we have Korg. Yeah, I got nothing to say, he's an idiot that used to be a serious/half-important character in comics/series and got severely distorted in this movie like most other characters starring in it. Funnily enough, just like Valkyrie, his character is treated better and is way more useful in What If, which is honestly ironic.

Then, I could talk about the mistreatment of both Thor and Loki's characters but that would take a post the length of the Divine Comedy, so I'll just cut it short and cover the most important points.

Thor and Loki are obviously not appreciated (Loki is disliked more, of course he is), and therefore are written in a very OOC way. Thor turns into a full blabbering idiot and Loki is interpreted as someone whose only purpose is to betray, stab and rule. And that's all I'm going to say for now, even though I might extend the discourse in a future post.

And now, oooh boy, Hela. I loved Hela, I was excited as soon as she appeared on screen. And what happened next? Her brothers got lost in space and we didn't see them interact with her in any way besides her introduction and the short ahh dialogue with Thor in the final battle. I hate this so much. Once again, the movie that's supposed to talk about Ragnarok only shows the conflict in the last 20 minutes of the movie. And we barely see Hela, or at least we don't get to see her as much as we should, given that she's supposed to be the main antagonist of the damn movie. Her character was great, for all that we could see, but she is a walking definition of wasted potential and I despise it.

Now, there is something I do appreciate about the movie, and it's the characterization of Hulk. He finally isn't reduced to a stupid destroyer or dumb beast, and as a huge Hulk fan and Agents of S.M.A.S.H. watcher I liked this. This, and Heimdall being given some scenes and characterization, too. That's it. That's what I liked about the movie.

Now, short list of things I hated to finish the post: Fandral and Volstagg being killed like flies, Hogun meeting a similar fate right after, Sif not even appearing (so much for Sif and the Three Warriors); the constant jokes that were obviously made for an audience of four years olds; Skurge (or whatever his name was) just... Being there? Another useless/misused/mischaracterised character I didn't mention before, because DAMN is this character STUPID; STRANGE just appearing at some point and dipping (like he couldn't help them?? WHY EVEN MAKE HIM SHOW UP AT ALL UGHHH).

last night, i just had a terrible nightmare where someone sent in a really long ask that was straight up hating and criticizing every part of my writing. calling out the insecurities/faults, plot inconsistencies, and insulting my writing style—

which i admit: yeah, it's wordy and really long, sometimes i focus too much on one scene or on the emotions solely, and i focus on every single detail; i'm a very emotional and hypersensitive person who likes to overanalyze on the scenes and characters. i acknowledge that it's unconventional and unprofessional at times; but it's what makes me happy and it's up to readers to continue reading or not despite the length. it's my own writing, i write content for free and everything i post are indulgent on my part, hence why i explicitly state i don't really wish for constructive criticism since again, it's all for free and it's all done for fun.

though, in that dream, it came to the point where the ask straight up told me i should just quit writing, that whatever i'm writing for is utter trash (overrated, it says. there are better writers out there and, yeah, i agree. i've the passion and drive but not so much for talent) and not worth the effort to read. so i did what was told and deactivated my account and went on to never write anymore fanfics after just how shaken up i was, then i woke up HAHAHAH.

and it genuinely felt so real, ngl. i couldn't get it off of my mind even until now, so here i am rambling about it. sorry if anyone expected me to post a drabble, or a fanfic; but right now i need more time to ponder upon whether or not i should change my writing style 'cause chapter five pt 2 will be posted soon but it's longer and who knows? maybe my worst nightmare may come true if i post it and it's subpar, not up to expectation.

and if people don't really wish for something long that borders on boring or filler scenes, then maybe, maybe not i will change how i write (but i probably won't lmao). either way, i have to remind myself that i am writing for myself, and posting it to simply archive in this account. i just hope people won't be as cruel as that mystery person in my dreams if i ever do

it's genuinely the audience's choice to read my works or not if the length or style bothers them. and as entitled as i may sound, i wish to remind some that writing a chapter with more than 10k words is my choice, and it's an arduous process too that takes hours of my time. writing fanfics is for me is purely indulgent and are reflections of my real life experiences, if it's lengthy, then yes i chose it to be, but it's not like i'm writing a thesis or an essay, i'm writing a goddamn fanfic with stereotypical tropes (most especially yandere) because it what makes me enjoy my passion as an author.

i apologize again for the long ramble, i really just need this out of my thoughts. this is my own blog too so yeah 😭. if you guys follow me solely for my fanfics, then filter out the "🍨... yael's talking" tag if you wish to avoid these types of talks.

Merlin Academy was a place where the children of royals and villains alike attended, a melting point of clashing destinies and unbreakable friendships. Among its students was Y/N, a poor girl who had earned her place through a scholarship. Though she had no fancy title, she carried herself with a quiet strength that intrigued many, including James Hook.

James Hook was known for his mysterious charm and flirtatious nature. He had taken a particular interest in Y/N, often observing her and finding excuses to be near her. Despite her initial confusion as to why someone like James would pay her any attention, Y/N couldn't deny the flutter in her heart whenever he was around.

Just like today, Y/N took place under a large oak tree, absorbed in her studies. She was so focused on her book that she didn't notice James approaching until his shadow fell over her pages.

"Fancy finding you here, lass." James said, a playful hint in his voice.

Y/N looked up, her heart skipping a beat at the sight of his familiar smirk. "James! You startled me."

James crouched down beside her, his fingers gently lifting her chin so she would meet his gaze. "You're not 'just' anything, darling. You're remarkable. Titles and legacies are overrated, anyway."

Y/N's breath hitched at the intensity in his eyes. "You really think so?"

"I know so." James said firmly. "And if anyone gives you trouble, they'll have to answer to me."

She couldn't help but smile at his protectiveness. "You don't have to do that, James. I can take care of myself."

He chuckled, a deep, rich sound that sent shivers down her spine. "I have no doubt about that. But I like taking care of you."

Y/N's blush deepened, and she looked away, trying to compose herself. "Why are you so nice to me?"

James's expression grew serious. "Because you deserve it. And because, Y/n, you intrigue me. You're not afraid of me, or my reputation. You see me beyond the hook."

"I don't understand why you'd pay attention to someone like me." Y/N admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

James moved closer, his fingers brushing against hers. "Maybe it's because I see something in you that you don't see in yourself. Maybe it's because you're different from anyone else here. Or maybe, lass, it's because I can't help but be drawn to you."

Her heart raced as she met his gaze again, the sincerity in his eyes making her feel both vulnerable and cherished. "James, I..."

Before she could finish, he leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear. "Just know, darling, that you have my attention. Always."

Y/N felt a shiver run down her spine at his words, her heart fluttering wildly. She had never felt this way before, and it both excited and terrified her. But as she looked into James's eyes, she realized that maybe, just maybe, she didn't need to understand why he paid attention to her. Maybe it was enough to know that he did.

"It's about magical creatures." she replied, closing the book slightly to show him the cover. "I have an assignment on them."

He leaned in closer, his face inches from hers. "Fascinating. Which one's your favorite so far?"

She glanced at him, her pulse quickening at their proximity. "I like the phoenix. It's a symbol of rebirth and resilience."

"Like you." he said softly, his eyes locking onto hers.

Y/N felt her cheeks heat up. "Me?"

James nodded. "You're strong, Y/n. Stronger than you realize. And you're constantly rising above everything thrown your way."

She looked down, biting her lip to hide her smile. "Thank you, James. That means a lot coming from you."

He reached out, gently lifting her chin so she would meet his gaze again. "I mean every word."

Another day, Y/N was walking to class when she felt a hand slip into hers. She turned to see James, his usual smirk playing on his lips.

"Thought I'd escort you to class." he said casually.

"You don't have to do that." she replied, though she didn't pull her hand away.

"I want to." he insisted, giving her hand a light squeeze. "Besides, I enjoy your company."

As they walked, James began to whistle a familiar tune. Y/N laughed softly. "Is that 'A Pirate's Life for Me'?"

He grinned. "A classic, don't you think?"

She shook her head, amused. "Only you, James."

"Well, I am a pirate's son, after all," he said with a wink. "It runs in the blood."

They reached her classroom, and he reluctantly let go of her hand. "I'll see you later, darling."

"See you, James." she replied, her heart fluttering as she watched him walk away.

One evening, Y/N was sitting by the enchanted lake, enjoying the peace and quiet when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned to see James approaching, carrying a small picnic basket.

"Mind some company?" he asked, settling down beside her without waiting for an answer.

"What's in the basket?" she inquired, curious.

"Thought we'd have a little picnic." he said, opening it to reveal an assortment of fruits, cheese, and pastries. "I figured you'd like it."

Her heart warmed at the thoughtfulness. "This is really sweet, James."

He shrugged, though she could see the pleased look in his eyes. "I aim to please."

They sat together, sharing the food and talking about their classes and dreams. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the lake, James turned to her, a serious look in his eyes.

"You know, lass, I enjoy these moments with you more than anything else at this academy."

Y/N felt her breath hitch. "Really?"

"Really." he said, his voice soft. "There's something about you, Y/N. You make everything... better."

She blushed, looking down at their entwined fingers. "You do the same for me, James."

He leaned in closer, his lips brushing her ear. "Good to know, darling. Because I'm not planning on letting you go anytime soon."

Her heart soared at his words, the fluttering in her chest intensifying. Though she still didn't understand why James Hook would be interested in a poor scholarship student like her, she couldn't deny the happiness it brought her. For the first time in a long time, Y/N felt like she belonged. And as long as James was by her side, she knew she could face anything that came her way.

Sadly, that wonderful feeling for Y/N didn’t last very long as her suspicions were confirmed that James was, in fact, not interested in her at all. As today, the atmosphere at Merlin Academy was disrupted when princess Aurora approached Bridget for one of her famous pink flamingo cupcakes. Bridget, ever the sweetheart, happily obliged, unaware of Aurora's true intentions. Aurora had a love potion, and she discreetly applied it to the cupcake before offering it to James.

James was lounging near the fountain, chatting with some of his fellow students when Aurora walked over, a charming smile on her lips. "James, my love." she cooed, holding out the cupcake. "I thought you might like a treat."

James raised an eyebrow, intrigued but cautious. "What's the occasion, Aurora?"

"No occasion." Aurora replied, batting her eyelashes. "Just thought you'd enjoy it."

He hesitated for a moment before taking the cupcake, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Well, I never say no to sweets." he said with a grin, taking a bite. As he chewed, a strange, dazed look came over his face.

Y/N, who had been sitting nearby, noticed the interaction and felt a feeling of unease wash over her. She watched as James's usual playful banter with her ceased abruptly. He turned to Aurora, his eyes filled with an intense, almost unnatural adoration.

"Aurora." he murmured, his voice filled with awe. "You look... stunning today."

Aurora giggled, pleased with the immediate effect of the potion. "Thank you, James. You're so sweet."

Y/N's heart sank as she witnessed James showering Aurora with compliments and attention. It was as if she no longer existed in his world. The playful glances, the teasing comments, the stolen moments, they all vanished in an instant.

James walked over to where Y/N sat, but instead of his usual greeting, he barely acknowledged her. "Hey, Y/N." he said curtly, his eyes never leaving Aurora.

"Hi, James." Y/N replied softly, her voice tinged with sadness. "Are you okay?"

"Never better." he said, smiling dreamily at Aurora. "I just realized how incredible Aurora is."

Y/N's heart broke at his words. She tried to keep her composure, but the pain was evident in her eyes. "I see."

Aurora, noticing Y/N's discomfort, smirked triumphantly. "James, why don't we go for a walk? I'd love to spend more time with you."

"Of course." he said eagerly, offering his arm. "Anything for you, princess."

As they walked away together, Y/N felt a tear slip down her cheek. Bridget and Ella, who had been watching from a distance, quickly came over to comfort her.

"Y/N, are you alright?" Ella asked, concern etched on her face.

"No, I'm not." Y/N admitted, wiping away her tears. "I thought... I thought James liked me. But I guess I was wrong."

"It's not your fault." Y/N said, her voice trembling. "I just have to accept that someone like James could never be interested in someone like me."

Ella shook her head fiercely. "That's not true, Y/N. You're amazing, and if James can't see that, then he's the one who's missing out."

"Yeah." Bridget agreed. "We'll figure this out. Maybe there's something more to this."

Y/N nodded, though her heart still ached. She couldn't deny the happiness James had brought her, but now, seeing him with Aurora, she felt like an outsider once more. Just like back then Y/n questioned her place at Merlin Academy.

Noticing Y/N's sudden withdrawal, Bridget and Ella grew increasingly concerned. They watched as she became quieter than ever, only showing up when absolutely necessary for classes. Her usual warmth and laughter were replaced with a haunting silence.

As Bridget and Ella found her sitting alone by the edge of the forest, staring blankly at the ground.

"Y/N, we need to talk." Bridget said softly, sitting down beside her.

Ella nodded, sitting on her other side. "You've been so distant lately. We're worried about you."

Y/N sighed, trying to hold back tears. "It's just... James. Seeing him with Aurora, it hurts more than I thought it would."

Bridget placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We know, Y/N. But there's something strange about all this. James wasn't acting like himself."

Ella leaned in, her eyes filled with determination. "We think Aurora did something to him. We have to find out what."

Meanwhile, Uliana, Morgie, Hades, and Maleficent were observing James's strange behavior. They gathered in a secluded corner of the academy grounds to discuss their suspicions.

"Something's definitely off with James." Uliana said, her eyes narrowing. "He's not acting like himself at all."

Hades crossed his arms, his expression serious. "Aurora must have used a spell on him. It's the only explanation."

Morgie nodded in agreement. "We need to do something about this. James may be a flirt, but he wouldn't abandon us like this."

Maleficent, her eyes glinting with a hint of malice, spoke up. "There's one way to break a love spell. True love's kiss."

Uliana smirked, her gaze turning towards Y/N. "And I think we know just the person who can help."

The group of villains approached Y/N, Bridget, and Ella, their presence causing a tense silence to fall over the group.

"Y/N." Uliana began, her tone surprisingly gentle. "We believe James has been spelled by Aurora. We need your help to break it."

Y/N looked up, confusion and hope mingling in her eyes. "Me? How can I help?"

"True love's kiss." Morgie explained, a sly smile on his lips. "It’s the only way to break the spell."

Y/N's heart raced. "But... why me? Why would James love me?"

Maleficent stepped forward, her gaze piercing. "You’re underestimating yourself. James has always had a soft spot for you. If anyone can break this spell, it's you."

Y/N swallowed hard, her mind racing with doubt and fear. "But what if it doesn't work? What if he doesn't really love me?"

Hades sighed, his fiery hair flickering with frustration. "We won't know until you try. Do you want to save him or not?"

Bridget and Ella squeezed Y/N’s hands reassuringly. "You can do this, Y/N. We believe in you."

Taking a deep breath, Y/N nodded. "Alright. I’ll try it."

As the night fell, Y/N approached James, with slight fear, her heart pounding in her chest. The intensity of his gaze, now directed only at Aurora, was disheartening. She braced herself, reaching up to cup his face, and pressed her lips to his in a gentle kiss.

To her shock, the spell broke instantly. James blinked, his eyes clearing as the enchantment faded. Bridget and Ella squealed in delight, while Uliana, Maleficent, Morgie, and Hades smirked knowingly.

James, now fully back to his senses, wasted no time. He pulled Y/N firmly against him, his strong arms wrapping around her waist. He kissed her again, deeper and more passionately, as if to make up for lost time. When he pulled back, his eyes held nothing but sincerity.

"Be mine, darling." he whispered, his voice raw with emotion.

Y/N's heart raced, her cheeks flushing at his intense gaze. "James... I..."

Before she could finish, Aurora's furious voice cut through the moment. "How could you choose her, a peasant, over me, a princess?" she spat, her eyes blazing with anger.

James didn't falter. Instead, he pulled Y/N even closer, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, "Stay still, love."

He then stood behind her, his arms securely around her waist, and pressed a kiss to her neck. Y/N shivered at the sensation, her body leaning back against him. James kept his eyes locked on Aurora, a challenging smirk playing on his lips.

"Tell me Aurora, why would I want a princess who spells me." he said, his voice low and dangerous, "when I have my own princess who would let the world burn for me?"

Aurora's face twisted with rage. "You fool! You don't know what you're throwing away!"

Before James could respond, Maleficent stepped forward, her aura radiating power and intimidation. "Watch your tongue, Aurora. Or I’ll put you to sleep for eternity." she threatened, her voice cold.

James's smirk widened as he felt Y/N relax slightly in his arms. "Aurora." he continued, his tone mocking, "A princess who uses spells to get what she wants is no match for a girl with a heart as pure and strong as Y/n's."

Aurora's eyes darted around, looking for support, but found none. The others stood firm, their expressions resolute. Even Hades, with his usual nonchalance, had a hint of protective fire in his eyes as he watched the scene unfold.

James turned his attention back to Y/N, his expression softening. "Lass, you're my princess, with or without a crown."

Y/N's heart swelled at his words, tears of happiness welling up in her eyes. She looked up at him, her voice barely above a whisper. "James, I... I don't have a title or riches. I'm just me."

James cupped her face in his hands, his eyes filled with adoration. "You don't need titles or riches to be special, Y/N. You're everything I want. And if it's a name you're worried about, how about becoming Y/N Hook? Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? My pirate princess."

Y/N's breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening. "You mean that?"

"Every word." James replied, his voice unwavering. "I love you, Y/N. I want you by my side, always."

As they stood together, surrounded by their friends, Y/N realized that love and loyalty mattered far more than any crown ever could. She leaned into James, feeling safe and cherished in his arms.

Aurora, seeing that she had lost, turned on her heel and stormed away, her face a mask of fury. Maleficent watched her go, a satisfied smirk on her lips. "Well, I suppose the sleeping curse can wait. Pity I didn’t get to use it now." she muttered.

Bridget and Ella rushed forward, enveloping Y/N and James in a big hug. "We knew it!" Bridget exclaimed. "We knew you two were meant to be together!"

Uliana, Morgie, Maleficent and Hades exchanged smirks, their eyes gleaming with approval. "About time." Uliana said, her voice filled with satisfaction.

James pressed another kiss to Y/N's neck, his breath warm against her skin. "I love you, darling." he whispered, his voice filled with unwavering devotion.

Y/N turned in his arms, her eyes meeting his. "I love you too, James."

As they kissed again, a cheer went up from their friends, and for the first time, Y/N felt like she truly belonged. With James by her side she knew that this will be her once upon a time.

— ¿How the heck did Red and Zim start having their first feelings for each other? I'm intrigued.

I didn't want to answer your question earlier 'cause I was determined to write a whole bible about how RaZR works in my AU, but I was also hesitating because I always get embarrased whenever I talk about my otps in general.

I was also still discussing with myself if I should put this ship in the story or not, because I know about certain people not being confortable with ships in this AU and because I don't want my AU to be involved with people who just follows the story only 'cause their fav ship is there. I already had a bad experience with those kind of people with another fandom.

But at the same time; RaZR might not be a rare ship, but a quite underrated one that doesn't have a lot of content to dig in comparing it with other big ships that we already know. Also, when I said that I don't want shipping involved in my AU, I was specifically referring to ZaDR. Despite I like it, it is STUPIDLY overrated, to the point that it gets a little exhausting to see it everywhere in the fandom... So idk, RaZR wouldn't be much of a big trouble in my AU, and it's not like it's gonna be the main thing in the story.

BUT YEAH, About your question:

In my AU, Zim already had a crush on Red since they saw each other again by iniciating Elite training together. However, his feelings were mostly involved by this idealized image of Red being this "infallible", "exemplary", "perfect" soldier. You know: things that Zim wished to be. Thus becoming the reason why Zim always have seeked his approval.

On the other hand, Red was aware of this weird fixation Zim had on him, which was obviously very annoying. Despite this, Red never truly hated him; In fact, he always felt a little pity for the defective lil bug. Red also learned to deal with Zim's destructive shenanigans by taking advantage of that weakness he had over Red. However, this kind of manipulative dynamic made Red accidentally more tolerant and permissive with Zim, behavior that followed Red even after becoming a Tallest.

Then, AU shit happens. Zim has his own development arc with Dib on their adventures in space, but Red also has his own development arc with a number of situations; such as the coming of his adulthood, his responsibilities as a leader, memories of his abusive past becoming relevant in his life again, etc. Both Zim and Red don't see each other again until the events of Arc 4.

At this point, many years have passed and both have changed a lot. And the fact that Red and Purple have no power over Zim makes their dynamics change drastically.

The role reversal made it so that they could see each other as equals. Neither Zim nor Red are trying to like each other, so they both interact as how they truly are. Sure there is tension and hostility between them sometimes, but as they can act as themselves, they start to feel strangely comfortable with each other. And as suddenly as it starts, the curiosity to see how far one can go with the other causes the bickering and teasing to accidentally turn into a very strange and very Irken form of.... flirting??! The funny thing is that neither of them are aware of this until there is no turning back.

But there's something else that's even more relevant about Zim and Red's dynamic: There's a point in the plot where both of them are forced to show their most vulnerable side. With Zim, there's the whole trauma thing that he still carries around and that reaches a limit where he can no longer hide; on Red's part, due to a slip of his own, he was forced to tell Zim about the abusive past he had with Miyuki and how it has affected him in several aspects of his life, including his relationship with Purple. By uncovering their most vulnerable side, both of them maintain a silent truce that turns into mutual respect. Slowly and gradually, both of them start to feel comfortable to vent and share things that they haven't told to anyone, not even their loved ones (Purple and Dib respectively).

It's all a veeeery long process of understanding and trust that is slowly forming and needs some pushes to become stronger. It's very similar to what Zim and Dib had to do to form their friendship, except that Red and Zim feelings are growing beyond to just friendship.

However; even though it's clear that something is changing between these two, they both feel conflicted by these new feelings.

As for Red, he has never experienced romantic feelings before and doesn't know how to act in certain circumstances. This is all new to him and therefore he can't discern whether he is truly falling in love or if he is misinterpreting his feelings. Not to mention that these types of relationships are completely punished by the Irken Empire.

With Zim, he believed that he no longer had feelings for Red and that it would stay that way now that he discovered his true colors. Instead, Zim went from a childhood crush to being genuinely and hopelessly in love with him. However, he can't trust Red's intentions. In fact, he hates that despite all the awful things Red had done to him, he is still madly in love. Zim knows that Red had and will always have control over him, because deep down he has always wanted for Red to want him, and it seems like it will always be that way.

But, despite still being conflicted about his feelings, Red knows that he has stopped seeing Zim in the same way and that he even feels guilty about the things he has done, and he admits that he shouldn't reciprocate Zim's feelings, not because he doesn't want to, but because he knows he doesn't deserve it.

They go through a lot of tense moments and trust issues, but they will eventually talk it out and correspond each other. Not in a conventional way, though. They are still not sure about what they are or should be (although they are already doing what lovers do). Neither of them dares to make it completely official; because deep down they know that sooner or later the day will come when they will both have to go on separate ways, perhaps never to see each other again.

My Sailor Moon Hot Takes

Sailor Moon S is a overrated season because the way a nice piece of the fandom acts about that season like it’s untouchable .That no other season can touch that season that come before or after it.

Sailor Moon Supers is not a bad of a season and don't deserve the unnecessary hate it gets but they wasted so much time.

R season is actually a pretty good season minus the break up arc.

R Season Finale Episodes are the best Season Finale Episodes.

The Nehellenia Arc in Sailor Moon StarS is the best thing about that season.

Wiseman/DP is very underrated as a villain in both the manga and the 90’s anime.

I hate the “Usagi is inferior to Mamoru while Mamoru is superior to Usagi” narrative that went on in the 90’s anime.

StarS season really messed up the lore that arc has in the manga and is the worst season.

Sailor Moon StarS is Hot Garbage of recycled concepts put together.

The Break up arc could have been used for Character Development for Usagi and Mamo as individuals and as a couple instead of being dragged out melodrama. It also could have been used as character development for the girls as well with them making their relationship with Usagi and each other stronger.

PGSM is the best version of SM for actual character development while keeping the plot going.

90’s anime give the characters more screen time not actual character development. They don’t actually grow because they may learn one thing in one season and in the next they are right back to square one. They really didn’t include none of their backstory that is from the manga apart from Ami.

The girls have more nuance and complexity in the manga and in PGSM while in the 90’s anime made into being known for one trait. It showed the complexity of being a teenager girl with the responsibility of being reincarnated warrior and trying to navigate through it.

The girls also had a level of urgency when it come to the villains in the manga while the 90’s anime dragged it out in the plot permits.

The inners start to become useless in S season and was really useless in SuperS and StarS. They really didn’t actively participate in the final battles in SuperS and Stars. The narrative went out of it’s way to sometimes make the girls “ disappear” when a youma attack. They could be in the whole episode but when it’s time to take down a youma,they go in a different direction than Usagi did.

Mamo is more useful than the inner senshi in the 90’s anime as the series went.

None of the villains actually earn their redemptions a part from maybe the A Sisters and FishEye.

90’s anime really didn’t understand what redemptions actually meant.

Nehellenia didn't deserve a redo in the 90's anime.

Seiya is better in the manga.

Everyone is better in the manga especially Chibiusa and Mamo.

Manga Usagi actually have character development.

Manga Usagi really didn't get the " happy ending" everyone though she got. Yes She get married, have the child rule the earth, but she literary have to keep fighting to protect everyone which is the choice she makes. She didn't really get to live her dream which was to be a wife with a house with a picket fence.

While everyone says the senshi didn't get to live out their dreams but is sworn to protect Usagi but Usagi didn't get to live her dream either. She is sworn to protect them and the entire universe and have to watch them die.

The Manga Ending is bittersweet but satisfying ending.

The manga is full a deep lore that you really have to reread it to fully understand it and Naoko did her research.

Toei needs their ass kick on not giving Crystal the proper budget from the get go.

Toei need their ass kick on how they treated Sailor Moon as an IP in general and Naoko need to snatch the rights away.

While Crystal has its short comings, its a good reboot but it could have been a lot better with people who actually “ gets” what Naoko was trying to do with the manga and not make it a word from word from the manga. They didn’t breathe life into it and actually understand the source material completely. Like PGSM understood what she was trying to do.

PGSM,Manga, and Crystal Rei is better than 90’s anime Rei because PGSM,Manga,Crystal understand her character and what she is dealing with her dad and why she is like that. The 90’s anime just made her a straight out mean bully.

Miracle Romance is really getting a second chance at love story after the first chance was cut tragedy short. It also shows a love that a mother has for a daughter to use her power to grant her a second chance at life to actually live and be happy.

Moon Pride will forever be a bop and Tsukiiro Chainon is an underrated pop.

Nostalgia is one a hell of a drug.

Oh my god, I saw the first one and I was like WTF? If you don't want someone to play a character just because of their skin color… that's racist as hell. Can you imagine someone saying Chris Evans shouldn't play the Captain because he's white…?

But that it's Kit's fault…? He's doing his job, people choose who they're more interested in. If any other actor had been in his place, it could have ended the same way.

Teddy is a tall, athletic, handsome, blue-eyed, blond, jock type, because - this is going to shock you - he WANTED to be stereotypical. After all, this is a YA Presents plot - he wanted to fit in, he wanted to be part of a stereotypical clique, and his human - or rather Kree - appearance helped him with that. (Yes, in 2006 they showed Teddy as a little skinny guy who adopted a more muscular look, but later issues changed that and he stopped pretending and instead referred to himself as "buff as check.") So to blame this on him being "dated" is pointless, because it's a significant theme of wanting to fit in. Sure, Teddy can look any way he wants, so his skin color doesn't really matter, but everything else is important, and changing the fact that he's always been a jock can change the character too much - does any MCU Flash resemble the Flash in anything other than their last names?

And oh, and I'm so grateful that Eddie didn't turn out to be Teddy. I think WV and AAA were weird Wattpad fanfics that treated Billy's character like they threw him in a blender, flushed him down the toilet, and made "Billy Maximoff" out of the leftovers. If someone were to write Teddy, I beg you to let it be someone who will leave anything of the character he should have been.

Teddy weak…? Teddy is a fucking powerhouse who people underestimate because, as he himself said to Kl'rt - "he doesn't like to brag". Sure, he may seem weaker than he is in Billy's company, because Billy is Billy, but Teddy is actually a tough competitor. He has a strength of around 75-100 tons, he was able to withstand a fight with The Thing, he knocked out a Sentinel with one punch, he punched a Super Skrull through a building, he stopped Thor's hammer with his sword, his shapeshifting skills are so good that he perfectly imitated a robot, and he has such an excellent regeneration factor and adaptations that his body moved organs during vivisection. Is he weak? Sure, the MCU would definitely weaken him, but people underestimate my boy! But for that you would have to read at least the Wikipedia article…

And if Billy heard someone say that he "should be with a human", he would magically kick that person's ass and then walk off into the sunset with his space king…

I love imagining damian being secretly super jealous that billy can hold a conversation with Alfred the cat even though it's his cat but he low-key gets over it because now he knows what Alfred the cat actually likes and can pamper them more thoroughly

I also love the idea of billy having to play telephone with any other animal because it only works with felines for example billy needs information on [insert plot information] and the only witness was a raccoon and so billy needs the street cat relay what the raccoon is saying and to ask the raccoon specific questions

I do think that his omnilingualism does expand to all the languages of the universe that has ever or will ever exist, so I feel like it's safe to say that he can understand the ancient language of little meow meows.

I do agree that spending so much time with Mr. Tawky Tawny could possibly influence Billy's language abilities to learn animal languages, but I also believe that with Billy being the Champion of Magic, Billy might sometimes absorb the magical effects from being Captain Marvel. Just as a headcanon of mine.

For example; Captain Marvel can fly? Billy can levitate a little (as a treat) if he concentrates enough. Captain Marvel speaks every language? Billy can talk to animals like a tiny Dr. Doo little.

Gosh imagine that, Billy using his magical talents to help magical familiars and beasts, maybe that's how he earns his money to pay rent as a homeless child. Can't get a job? Just use magic to open up a magical veterinarian clinic, no body will raise alarm at a child doctor if the patients are mystical animals!

Yall have so much unnecessary beef with these pixelated teenagers, just say you don’t like them and move on. If Zuko is overhyped/overrated, OH THE FUCK WELL. If you think aang doesn’t serve any purpose in the show, OH WELL. You won’t change the narrative ever just because you hate their character or some other bullshit reason as to why you don’t like them. Because if you don’t like them then I advise you to stop watching the show and interacting with the fandom entirely, BECAUSE THATS WHO THIS STORY IS MAINLY ABOUT. They are apart of the main characters in the show, therefore they will get main character treatment. Of course sometimes they’ll get plot armor, inconsistencies, favored, etc, it’s a kid’s show with the trope that the heroes save the day what the hell did you expect?

Like I’m sorry your favorite side character isn’t as written through or given a redemption arc like Zuko in the show, not every single background character/villain is going to have a whole story written behind them canonically. That happens with shows/movies/media all the time. And it’s not their fault the creators favored them and some other characters more than others. Hell, you can use your imagination and create a whole backstory for your faves, but y’all use up all that energy arguing with people on the internet because you didn’t get what you wanted in a show that aired damn near 20 years ago.

And plus, characters don’t need a redemption arc to be interesting, but some of you will take that too far and then be like “characters with redemption arcs are not as interesting” knowing how most of this fandom has no reading comprehension skills.

I’m sure I am certainly shouting into the void with this one, but I’m an avid The Mandalorian enjoyer. I enjoy rewatching it from time to time, I tend to put it on when I’m having a particularly rough patch or when I’m doing something and want some ambience to my background.

I enjoy the show as a whole so dearly, but I really have to say that as much as I do, nothing will ever beat the first season for me. I don’t know what it is, everything about season one was so good. There’s just this essence to it for me that continuously grips me by the throat every single time I rewatch it. I would literally give anything to rewatch season one for the first time.

Of course such a huge part of the show itself is supposed to shine light on the developing dynamic between Din and Grogu as the plot progresses around them. But I think a charm to season one is that this dynamic was truly fully the forefront of the plot. We didn’t have any of the bigger also very important subplots just yet, they were brewing, sure— but it really felt like that development between the two was so extremely front and center. This isn’t me saying that this isn’t true for the most part in the following seasons, I think this has always been a very big important aspect of the show obviously, I just particularly like how it was handled in season one.

There was just such a charm to our introduction to Din as a character, and how he interacts with Grogu towards the beginning and then again towards the end. But just the progress of it is so NICE.

In truth I had no real point here, I just wanted to express my love for mando season one out loud, it’s late and gathered and coherent thoughts are overrated sometimes so we have my rambling instead. I’m so normal about them. So so so so incredibly normal.

Well, give arguments about it. I mean, when the people calls Jaune a self insert, they give arguments about it.

I never liked the "If you don't like it, don't watch it". I have the right to watch things I don't like.

I don't like the idea that I have to ask someone's permission to watch a show.

So, just ignore them. Both of you have right to watch things you don't like.

8.-"The rewrites simply change everything about the plot not caring about respect the original material. It just isn't RWBY anymore".

Sometimes to improve something you have to change it.

But, I understand the frustration. Some things (Like adding complexity to Cardin) aren't really fixings of any kind, simply are changes Celtic made because he wanted.

9.-"Are the rewrites better than the series?"

I don't know. Some would be, others not.

For example I don't like Celtic making Shay D Mann a more gray morality character. Or Roman being Ozpin's host.

While I constantly criticize the series, the truth is that it's difficult to create a show. The budget and the time constraints are really a limitation.

And sometimes the fanfics can choose to only focus in some matters. That is an advantage that fanfics have over the main show. They don't have to focus on all the things the show has.

That's why I have a respect I have towards the CRWBY. What's more I recognize that many of the things in the rewrites couldn't be applied to the main show.

10.-Conclusions

If you have problems with the rewrites, criticize them.

Now you have to be on RWDE's shoes, criticizing bad piece of fiction that other people's like and defend your position against their defenses of the project.

I don't think that RWBY is a good show. But neither I think that FRWBY is a good fanfic.

Simply remember to not close yourself. Not generalize the Rewrites, there would be things that might amaze you.

But to the RWDE, don't overrate the Rewrites. Remember that the show have limitations that the Rewrites doesn't have. One can put an event in a fanfic that maybe would be impossible in the series proper due to budget and time limitations.
