just remembered that Twitch is reducing its video upload limit for highlights so that means a bunch of my livestreams are gonna get deleted next month. 😔 (idk how many exactly - I don’t have the time to download and then reupload everything to YouTube so I haven’t even bothered to check lol)

anyways I’ve seen no mention of this change outside my own email, so PSA to anyone with a fav indie Twitch streamer - it’s likely you’ll see a bunch of footage disappear soon.

the current (just recently extended) deadline is May 19th. videos with the least views will be deleted first, until each account is under the new 100hr limit.

"I can save you." The spider told Martin.

The silver worms wiggled their way inside from every single crack and hole they could find. The ceiling, the vents, the cracks on the wall, the faucet...

There were even maggots coming out from the empty cans of peaches.

Though Martin couldn't tell if they were real or just the beginnings of a hallucination.

At this point, it felt like there was nothing else outside his apartment, just a black void full of worms slowly eating through the walls.

"I can save you." The spider repeated, cleaning its fangs. Its eyes were like big black dots of the cosmos, as if they promised a void with no worms, just a mesmerizing, peaceful quiet.

Martin had run out of food and water a long time ago. Even if the worms didn't reach him, he was sure to die before long.

"I can save you." The spider told Martin. "It will just cost you a small price."

Did he have a choice?

Thinking about how terrified Lister must’ve been during Demons and Angels. He’s trapped with the warped, evil versions of his crewmates. He’s forced to not only interact with a spider, but to also eat it. The guy he’s had a fraught rivalry with, the guy he’s brushed off as being unable to hurt him due to his incoporeal state, is now able to hurt him and WANTS to hurt him. He’s forced to confront the darker side of himself, the side that “thinks terrible things”. The method of torture they use against him is extremely personal. This is a guy who’s not afraid to go against authority, forced into submission without any way to escape. Then, they use this power over him to attack the High side of himself, and then to turn on his own crew. He attacks the guys he cares about, unable to stop himself, his Low side piloting his every action. This is a guy who hates being controlled , and he is constantly manipulated by his Low self throughout the second half of the episode. I wonder how long it took him to reconcile with the fact that there was in fact a version of himself that would not hesitate to do that to someone. I wonder how long it took him to wash the taste of spider from his mouth.

#yeah going back to demons and angels I have to say it’s definitely one of my favourite episodes #It’s very hard-hitting and has terrifying implications.#also the spider scene is difficult for me to watch so I usually skip it.
