i clearly have a type for my preferred gremlins. i want a demented, feral little bastard, fully rabid and foaming at the mouth if you just look at their partner wrong, and a guy who looks casually like axe murderer standing behind them with a smoothie, unruffled until somebody gets too close to their demented little man, and then the serial killer vibes come out.

like here, it's steve that's the demented little bastard and bucky is casually an axe murderer, and that's really fun.

like, steve flips his lid over something vision goes red veins throb in his temple as he's shrieking flapping his arms steam coming out of his ears and there's bucky behind him like "i'll give him two more seconds before i put a stop to this." or they're in the club steve's tipsy an affectionate giggly drunk and very pretty so everyone's trying to flirt with him until a shadow falls over them and there's the winter soldier with his full murder face on. he doesn't have to say a word before the pathetic attempt at rivals flee bc of sheer vibes. but when it's all over, steve the demented feral fully rabid little bastard gets topped by bucky the casual axe murderer, so thoroughly he ends up crying and drooling. great dynamic. love that vibe.

but now there's my new set of blorbos, laios and chilchuck from dungeon meshi. and it's the opposite dynamic.

chilchuck is the feral rabid demented little bastard, laios casually looks like a good catholic boy scout that accidentally apprenticed under dexter so now he's weird, but chilchuck doms the shit out of laios, i just know it. like even if chilchuck is literally the one bottoming, he's topping from the bottom. laios has definitely let that tiny little man step on him. his face, his dick, his head, whatever part of him he wants to. but the second somebody starts creeping on chilchuck or just plain offends him, you know laios has got his hand on the hilt of his sword giving them that deep dark unreadably blank look like he knows what human flesh tastes like, all "walk away. now." (does he know? you decide. i think a little bit of canibalism is okay sometimes.) and after they're gone, you know he'd go from using his big boy bark to his happy puppy awoo yay master's been successfully resource guarded in like a split second, like to anybody other than chilchuck (used to this) he'd switch attitudes so fast it'd give them whiplash. and chilchuck would be like "good dog you may have one (1) kiss as a treat" "YAY KISSES" "ONE KISS"

i mean just look at them. you know i'm right.

In his dreams, Steve’s liver was between his teeth. There was a slit down his side, moonlight painting the white of his skin. The asset knew that his teeth were painted with blood, but the wound did not weep it. It stayed perfectly sealed inside of his beautiful body, unlike the organs he so carelessly ripped out with his jaw.

Steve was asleep, or unconscious, but he was not dead. Through his hot flesh the asset could feel his heartbeat, and it unsettled him. Another cut was made, and the asset pulled apart Steve’s ribs reverently. They came undone like yarn, slipping through flesh and metal fingers. It was too easy. The asset wrapped his metal hand around Steve’s heart. He knew not of the feeling of skin against beating tissue, and he had no intention of enlightening himself. Closing flesh around such an organ would be too close to love, and the asset felt only surrender.

He pulled, first gently and then harder, squeezing like the.. thing would come squishing through the cracks of his fingers like rotten fruit. His hand stayed clean. It was almost like sex, the push and pull, and finally the asset gave in and leaned his head down, closing his teeth around Steve’s heart and biting as hard as he could. The taste of iron and rot did not come, and the asset could not penetrate the hard muscle.

“I hate you.” The asset whispered into hot blood, hoping that the salvia that rolled down his chin would drop into the cavity that he had created, maim and taint Steve’s American Dream. “I don’t want this.”

Steve was whispering in his ear. He loved him. No, no, this was not love. This was weakness. This was surrender. Surely the rip of teeth should burn, have Steve screaming and begging the asset to stop. He wanted Steve to tell him to stop. Was he giving up?

He woke up panting, and hard, and on the living room floor. Gripping a loaded revolver in his right hand, he closed his eyes and bit his lip until it bled, imagining it was Steve’s blood in his mouth instead.
