things I would do if I decided to go Full Ham and do a Dawntrail Rewrite fic for Aresiba (under cut bc it long. bc of me yappin):

Fuck this CS3 time bubble bullshit, The Hydaelyn saga takes 4 years, and post ew is maybe a couple of months? Haven't decided yet (But basically, Aresiba starts her journey when she's 23, and in Dawntrail she's 27ish)

Koana goes to Sharlyan for the same time Aresiba's gone, so 4 years instead of 3. He's her ride to sharlyan, and then from there she goes 2 limsa and then gridania, so like. they gotta leave at the same time

I'm sorry. i. love the twins so very much. but they add VERY LITTLE TO THE RITES RACE IMHO, SO I'm having them come in for the coronation. so that they're here for the Dome Nonsense. and I'm having Yahima/her current student (a hunter and lowkey protoge healer?? kids cracked) in their place instead

Basically I am making this a Girls Trip, moreso than the MSQ does. and yes Erenville/this new oc are also included as Girls in the Girls trip. For the Girlies and Erenvielle/new oc yk

But also I think the bonding moments/banter that Yahima/Wuk Lamat/Aresiba have would be alot. better to fill the dead air than what some of the scions companions give us tbh. There's still this level fish out of water/across the salt type beat tho, bc Outer Islanders (aka yahima and aresiba in our group) are Allies of tural, yes, but not PART of tural, so they're still seen as from beyond the salt. It irks Aresiba tho, bc she's spent a good portion of her life living/training in Tuliyollal/Tural, so she very much considers it like another home to her. Also I think krile and Yahima would make good friends so I want her to be there. also also WHY WOULD WE NOT BRING THE OTHER TRAINED VIDRAAL HUNTWRS TO /THE/ VIDRAAL FIGHT like it would even make sense. then. I want them there 🫵

I'd also probably add some time in places that feel like. happen fast. and overall have a more concrete time frame of when things happen.

Like I'd put at LEAST A DAY inbetween the group arriving to Tural, and the day the rites begin. The Rites maybe take like 2 weeksish. possibly a little less depending. I'd add a couple of downtime days to a week inbetween the final rite/finding the golden city and coronation day. The shaolaani trip maybe takes a handful of days, maybe a buisness week? The Dome Explorarion takes a few days, and ofc Living Memory less than a day. I'll keep the 3 day celebrations bc that's fun, then immediately after Aresiba goes on a full 7 day week No-contact vacation to see her family. and then that Final CS of her, Erenvielle and Wuk lamat takes place the day of her return to tuliyollal. probably a few hours since her arrival. After that it's all me time baeby YIPPIEEEEEE

Siba has her own subplot "Hero returns home from her heroes journey, bur both her and her home have changed", during the rites part of the expac, and how she's adjusting to it

Koana/Aresiba buildup is basically this Entire Expansion, getting together/confessing fee fees happens probably pre 7.1

i want a "Blessed Siblings" vs "The Seas Blessed" (Aresiba and Yahima) fight SOMEHWHERE before they hit the Jak tiika heartlands,/BEFORE the bkjj's redemption, so I can draw a parallel bc THERES ONE THERE I REALIZE. AND WHILE IT DOESNT AFFECT THE STORYLINE MUCH it only makes the hard scenes HURT MORE

caterina's datamined character description calling her korean-italian and early lucanis designs having him look east asian . i'll just do everything myself i guess

assorted thoughts: caterina is fully 'korean' or whatever the thedas equivalent would be in this design, and clawed her way to the top of the crow food chain after years of work. their armor is something caterina forcibly incorporated to distinguish house dellamorte from the other crows, and a symbol of their status because they get it custom made or imported. of course race-equivalents do not really exist in thedas or this world but i also will never forget how gaider just implied (east) asian people don't exist in thedas because it just so happens that there are no asians on the continent of thedas (guy who forgot about boats) . explode and die. there's not the same kind of discrimination as exists irl ofc (and the dellamortes are actually treated fine, much better than a mage or elf) but a level of xenophobia against foreigners from a different continent. illario looks the least like her, and passes for being fully antivan, which changes how he is recieved by the other crows.

S1E9 TimeTravel AU - Jayce enlists Jinx to blow up the HexGates. Cait and Vi bond over their siblings going crazy. Silco is tired.

Ekko arrives a bit earlier just as Jayce is shooting Viktor in the chest. Jayce gets sent back in time somehow from the combined power of the Z-Drive and the Commune's collective death.

Jayce's consciousness rockets back in time and splices with his younger self just as he's finished 'negotiating' with Silco. Still reeling from his Arcane induced-trauma and killing his partner as well as who knows how many people by proxy, he arrives half feral and about 99.7% convinced he's either hallucinating or in Runeterra's version of Hell.

Jayce, canonically suicidal, Talis comes to the conclusion that he needs to blow up the Hex Gates and that the resulting explosions will either jar him out of his hallucination or finally put him out his misery and let him join Viktor.

Unfortunately, after months spent in isolation in an apocalyptic future, Jayce has gained an unfortunate habit of talking to himself as he figures out problems.

And Silco has been standing there the whole time.

Silco reiterates that he's not going to give up Jinx and Jayce just goes 'I don't give a fuck about her anymore' and attempts to leave.

Silco is absolutely befuddled by Jayce's complete personality change, but refuses to show it. After raising Jinx, he's learned a few methods for bringing people back from the edge. And considering his investment in getting access to the Hex Gates, he is very unwilling to let Jayce just walk away.

Especially when Jayce mentions he's supposed to be dead.

Silco convinces Jayce he'll need an explosions expert and that he'd never be able to blow up all the Hex Gates by himself. Jayce holds resentment for Jinx blowing up his partner and pseudo-sister's mom but had calmed down enough to realize that if he was in the past, it would be better to be close to Jinx and prevent history from repeating itself.

Cue Silco and Sevika having to wrangle Arcane-ified Jayce and Shimmered Jinx and prevent them both from causing Hexplosions.

Jayce, dis-illusioned with the Council, decides it would be faster to just pull a Viktor and 'not ask for permission' before destroying Hextech. He tells Silco that if he's willing to help destroy the Hex Gates, he'll give him his nation of Zaun -- and pardon Jinx.

Elsewhere, in Piltover, Viktor has collapsed in the lab and entered a coma. There's a strange pattern on his chest and back. Almost as if he'd been shot with a very powerful energy blast from a very large hammer. But no injury, it was as if it had already been healed.

When Jinx kidnaps Cait and Vi, Jayce is the one to ask her to spare Cait and let her leave. But also, the one to stop Cait from shooting Jinx.

"Stand down, Sprout."

"What are you doing! She's killed people Jayce."

"So have I. And I need her." Jayce is still suffering hallucinations and time-travel-induced jetlag, so in the tense moment he forget when he is and admits to killing Salo and blowing a hole through Viktor's chest.

Caitlyn is more shocked by the latter, "You-you killed Viktor?" She liked Viktor as a friend, they got along despite their differences. "Why? Why would you do that!"

Jayce, dissociating and in complete sincerity, "Because I needed to save him."

Following that insane response, Jayce slowly walks toward Cait with a pleading look in his eye, "Jinx is going to help me destroy HexTech and then we can save everyone. And then I can focus on curing Viktor!"

Cait looks into Jayce's -her brother's- eyes and understands Vi a little bit more, her desperation to see the good in Jinx.

Caitlyn can see her brother in this stranger's eyes, but he feels miles away. She has no idea how she's going to reach him.

HOWEVER. they use this to their goddamn advantage when other people are trying to push them together or bet on when they'll finally get together. if those two little shits catch wind that people are trying to bet money on them getting together they will get goddamn diplomatic about it; they will phrase things specifically and make temporarily complex boundaries so that NOBODY but them will win. they will say "CLEARLY there is nothing to confess because our feelings are just so clear at this point, and obviously we don't need to label anything between us. if we HAPPEN to start holding hands and kissing as part of our dynamic, who is truly able claim thats a new relationship" and continue on their bastardous little ways

what kinda mlp species do you think kafka would be? do you think she’d he something funky like a bat pony or changeling?

i think generally unless the character's species is like wildly different in appearance from humans (or at least different in my mind) most of the cast would just be one of the main 3 pony types. argenti/bronya/guinaifen would be main 3 to me but bailu/huohuo/qingque(/maybe robin to fit my bird quota and to give a non-xianzhou example) would be different or adjacent species. that being said bat pony kafka would look really good.
