There was a good span of time around 7 ish years ago where I just didn't go on a computer for literally months. I just didn't open a laptop or sit at a desk for so long. I miss that. It was bliss

ok well I did not finish watching the chute because I had to get bewilderingly angry about cw’s the flash, a hobby I have had since roughly 2017. but maybe tomorrow.

#walk with me. as a 2017 dwsa stan this translated into watching the flash specifically for the hartley rathaway episodes #in his 3 episodes in the first 2 seasons hartley is explicitly disabled. he essentially cannot function without assistive technology #then he shows back up in s6 after a timeline switch or whatever and not only does he no longer appear to have that disability #he now has superpowers #and as an isolated incident it still wouldn’t be ideal but in the context of the arrowverse’s track record with disability……it’s bad #anyway. not what you came to this blog for but in season 6 they do have a mirrorverse and they do make a lot of trek references so. there.#san rant

Genuinely need the cosplay community to consider building a home on tumblr. Copyright isn’t as violently strict as YouTube, and being able to talk in the tags and write on reblogs gives a means to interact with people without running into comment character limits.

#don’t get me wrong I love cosplay YouTube and cosplay tiktok but tumblr is a hidden gem #the only drawback is it doesn’t have a built-in recording and editing mechanism #so you have to learn how to film and edit #and that’s probably daunting to people who’ve never filmed seperately and transferred content to a editing program #but as long as you have some fairly modern technology #and I say modern extremely loosely #you can make a video with an iPhone 7 from 2017 and iMovie #yeah you’re not gonna gain thousands of likes overnight but if you love what you’re doing just for doing it #you will be ENTHRALLED with tumblr #I hate how popular Instagram is with the cosplay community #everyone’s always trynna get me to post more there and I’m like ohhh brother alright

It seems that Zorin OS 17 finally fixed compatibility issues with a third-party Cirrus Audio driver that caused certain MacBook models to have no audio, so now my mid-2017 MacBook Pro 13-inch can have a modern, updating, OS that gets new features and active development.

Apple sold this laptop, new, until 2019 (which is when I bought mine, none-the-wiser), and they discontinued support in 2023 with the release of macOS Sonoma 14. I'll be damned if I let a 4-year-old laptop get turned into eWaste, though.

I had previously wiped the SSD and installed Windows 11 because of the aforementioned issues with the audio drivers. Now that I can have audio, though, this computer lives on as Linux machine, as it's 2011 15-inch counterpart does.
