Okay, I know Mackie barely knows how to use Instagram and all. But he is legit only following two people one being an organization dedicated to encourage minorities to vote AND the other being Sebastian Stan.
Tumblr media
If that’s not friendships goals idk what is.
Just- he was like “fuck y’all” to his other friends and only follows his mans.

I am a bit concerned at the fact that Zemo saw Bucky’s arm being torn off. Like now I’m terrified that Zemo will reactivate the WS part of Bucky’s brain, like “you just thought you were fixed”. Bc Bucky didn’t know his arm could be torn off so easily, what if the other stuff can also be reinstated

Why Making Stucky Canon Would Be Nice: A List Thing:
Bucky would have Steve back, simple as that. Steve doesn’t have to take back his place as Captain America, he just needs to be there for his best guy.
In that vein, Sam would get a mentor on being Captain America.
Steve can also punch John Walker in his stupid fucking face.
Marvel can have a chance at redemption and prove that they’re not homophobic cowards.
Hell, I’d be happy if we just got this. Ship Bucky with a dude and I’ll be happy. I just really like Stucky and am using it to make a point.
Peggy Carter’s decisions will be respected.
Yes, she loved Steve, but she moved on. That was a choice she made as a person, not a worthless love interest. She worked through her grief and made a life for herself. I am still really salty that Marvel ruined this, and I always will be.
Bi Steve Bi Steve Bi Steve
Bi Steve Bi Steve Bi Steve
We can drive out some homophobes from the audience.
There is no downside to this. Less homophobes is always good.
Steve’s character development doesn’t get thrown in the trash.
Similar to the Peggy Carter thing, I think Marvel really dropped the ball on this. They could have done so much more with Steve, but no. They didn’t.
The work is practically done for Marvel already. If they get the permission on creators on Tumblr, AO3, etc. they have all they’re going to need done and then some.
I don’t know how copyright works so I don’t know if they need permission at all but either way, they’ve got a lot to work with.
Honestly, they could probably hire some of us, teach us to screenwrite, and we’d do the work.
Stucky.
Just Stucky. I fucking love Stucky.
Note that I am well aware the chances of this are probably at 0%, I just wanted to get this out because it’s zooming around my head and canon Stucky might just cure all my mental illnesses. For anyone else who likes to dabble in the impossible, feel free to add more.

SamBucky
through Sam's camera
Bucky isn't a camera guy. But Sam never misses a chance to capture him whenever he can
The first time he came over (he loves the boat like a Wilson or maybe he is one)
Tumblr media
Sam's favourite picture. Bucky laughed when we came to know Sam brought the camera to a mission. He was the reason why Sam brought the camera in the first place.
Tumblr media
"Give me the camera! I'll take a picture" Sam never knew bucky was great at selfies. Or maybe it was by chance.
Tumblr media
Sarah took this one. She thinks they look cute in an argument. They actually do.
Tumblr media
Sam still doesn't know this picture exists. Bucky thinks it was a big day in his life. He's saving it for a bigger one.
Tumblr media
Sam can't take his camera everywhere. So here are two from his phone

Some observations (and their regarding theories) I made about Zemo:
[this is mostly Civil War related]
At first we have zemo's accent (especially noticeable in the german version, at least I think so), the intensity of his accent seems to change throughout all of civil war,
however clear notes can be made that when he's pretending to be someone else his accent is gone or he has a different accent
also his accent is the strongest in his final scenes in siberia.
My theory regarding this is that he's (obviously) masking his accent when impersonating others, but also that his accent becomes stronger when he's opening up and/or losing his self control.
Considering tftaws however this theory seems to be disproven since in the show his accent is pretty constant.
My next observation is about this quote:
Captain America : You're Sokovian. Is that what this is about?
Zemo : Sokovia was a failed state long before you blew it to hell. No. I'm here because I made a promise.
Captain America : You lost someone.
Zemo : I lost everyone. And so will you.
I am pretty confident Stark did not inform Rogers about what he found out about zemo in the helicopter
however Rogers, as the soldier and military man he is, immediately assumes Zemo's motivation lays in Sokovia's fate, it's Rogers' own way of thinking he's projecting on Zemo.
But Zemo, even tho being part of a military squad, is not as patriotic as Rogers is, he had no hope in Sokovia from the start.
This may propose questions: Why was Sokovia a failed state? Why did Zemo even join the military if he had no hope for the country?
My first idea on this was that maybe the military had a sort of contract to help soldiers financially, but then again tfatws disproves that by revealing Zemo's wealth.
Another somewhat reasonable motivation might have been simple killjoy, in Civil War we can see Zemo is not hesitant to kill for his goal, but he doesn't seem overly eager to murder.
My last idea in this was one I only got after seeing tfatws, maybe it's a family thing? In the comics the title of 'Baron Zemo' has been passed down from generation to generation as well as the signature purple mask.
Maybe being part of the sokovian military is a family thing? For me this is also the most logical way of him having the 'Colonel' rank which seems to be a rather high one, if he truly only joined for the money or killing would he even have worked himself up that way for state he believed was destined to fail? Maybe he did all this for his father, his family.
The second part of the previously mentioned quote is far more interesting to me personally, Rogers immediately had put personal relationships after devotion to the country, but Zemo did not only lose someone he "lost everyone"
Zemo is putting a total of three family members over an apparently successful military career and his entire home country. The loss of three people was enough for Zemo to become a terrorist.
A little earlier in that scene Zemo states that for a year he hasn't been thinking about anything else, but in the end it was 'only' a year.
He did not have an obsession with Captain America, Hydra or the Winter Soldier before that. It was only a year.
Before that he possibly was just a father and husband, probably not home often because he after all was a colonel. He assumingely was a loving family man with no evil intentions.
[the following part includes mentions of suicidal thoughts]
At the end of the movie Zemo attempts to shoot himself after listening to and deleting the voice message from his wife. His plan is completed, there is no more reason for him to stay.
A, in ways, horrifying way of thinking. After one year dedication to terrible crimes he decided his life is fulfilled, a terrifying shift from the possibly caring father to a 'machine' of destruction.
Some part of my however refuses to believe that that is all his reasoning. Of course there's the thought of a reunion with his loved ones. But what if that scene was a moment of clarity to him?
After one year of 'evil intentions' he becomes aware of what he's done, what would his wife think? Or his father? What only would happen if his son could've seen that?
What of his suicide wouldn't have been reasoned by a 'fulfilled purpose' but rather by regret, hurt, and self loathing?
Maybe that is why his character goes from rather simple, 'just some guy' and so almost painfully human to the much sassier and more flamboyant Zemo we see in tfatws.
After years in prison with only his own thoughts he might've 'lost it'.
He put the last bit of down to earth family man aside to embrace the entire 'villain characteristic', he has come to terms with himself and what he perceives himself as.
One of my favorite things to see in Civil War was that Zemo was nothing like other villains in the superhero genre, he was not 'extra', he was almost the opposite. He did not have a costume, an army, some sort of superpower but he had patience and experience
and that was enough to make him truly dangerous and a real threat.
However in tftaws that changed, he now has costume, the attitude and everything else that goes hand in hand with a lot of villains, but he no longer poses an all too serious hazard to the heroes of the story.

“Symbols are nothing without the men and women that give them meaning.” -Sam
“Dumb little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb to ever run away from a fight. I’m following him.” -Bucky
This is exactly why Sam and Bucky looked up to and cared for Steve. It wasn’t because of Captain America but because of who Steve was. Steve gave the symbol meaning (and he knew that Sam was the right choice for it even tho Sam didn’t feel like he was worthy of the legacy.)
John Walker just walked up to the mantel, took it, and everyone treats him like he’s Cap now. But he isn’t Steve. He isn’t Captain America because he isn’t everything that Steve embodied. He expects that since he is “Cap” now Sam and Bucky should just follow him as “wingmen” that’s why they hate him. And that’s why we hate him.
They respected the symbol because of who Steve Rogers was. Ultimately it meant different things to both of them but Steve Rogers was the epicenter of what it meant, so even tho they ended ep 2 arguing-they both agree that John Walker is not worthy and they don’t give a shit about him.

also if you’re trying to keep it in character...sam doesn’t seem like the type to take anybody’s crap, even/especially bucky’s. he’ll call out the people he cares about on their behaviour, because it’s helping both him and them, and that’s the kind of person he is. he’s considerate, but he’s both realistic and hardened (some of the things most noted about him when contrasting him with steve!cap, by the way), and that (hyper)awareness and multi-faceted understanding of people and the world honestly makes me think he wouldn’t let anyone walk all over him, least of all someone he’s in an equal relationship with.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: can y’all please give Sam just a drop of pride in his romantic relationships in fics? Christ. He’ll have pride and dignity in every other aspect of the story except his relationship with Bucky and it is galling. Authors will have Bucky do something wild or mean or inconsiderate and even have Sam acknowledge to himself that Bucky is dicking him around, but then they never follow through, never connect the dots - there’s never a payoff… Bucky will look at him a certain way and start being nice, and that’s it, all is suddenly forgiven. Jesus. Sam is in his late 30s (at least) let him have some self-respect. He can tell everyone to go to hell, except Bucky… lmao why? Let Bucky Apologize 2021. I know I’m just rambling at this point, but I enjoy sambucky fics (clearly) and a lot of conflict and drama (duh, lol) but I also enjoy a nice “I’m sorry” like it doesn’t even have to be lengthy, but the apology can still exist Jesus
