I leave for university in less than 20 days. I will be alone by myself half way across the country surrounded by strangers. I am working hard to keep my mind open to new possibilities and friendships. I am continuing to work on letting go of the past, or any negative stories my thoughts try to spin for me. I will not self sabotage. I will embrace gratitude for the education I am about to receive, for an opportunity to learn, grow and develop more independence. I’m feeling very excited but also very nervous. I refuse to let my life continue this way; hiding away in fear of being judged, unliked, thought of as weird. I refuse.
