Don't take this the wrong way, it's just...well, he's pretty new to all of this.

He tries to be an understanding father, but I feel like he'd be the kind of father who'd say it's all a phase; he just hopes this phase of yours doesn't last too long.

He's not a strict father (well, maybe a little, or maybe too much), but he wants you to understand that it's best for you.

He wouldn't like you to wear too many bracelets or bangles on your arms because he's afraid your skin would get irritated or leave marks.

He'd never forgive himself if something happened to his baby.

If you tried to dye your hair, his hair would be a big no-no.

He'd only let you dye your hair if you begged him all week and told him to let him choose the color and let him dye your hair.

There wouldn't be any problems with your way of dressing, although it would depend on how colorful and extravagant your outfits are.

Most of your family tends to wear dull, muted colors. You could only occasionally see Dick in a brightly colored shirt, but most preferred duller or less flashy colors.

That way, you'd definitely draw a lot of attention with your outfits.

If you two ever go to a gala, he WON'T let you dress like that. Look, he doesn't judge you (even if he does).

But he thinks you should find another, less flashy "style." He loves you the way you are, but sometimes he wishes you were as obedient as other young people.

He's afraid that at some point you'll become rebellious and escape his complete control.

He should, no, he needs to control everything about your life.

Even your style of clothing. He just wants you to be a normal child.

He knows how cruel the world is to people as different as you.

He's just in some kind of midlife crisis, and your teenage "rebellion" isn't helping much.

I get the idea that Dick also went through some emo or alt phase, so he's pretty understanding about this.

Most of your accessories, like bracelets and makeup, were bought or made by Dick.

He likes to sneakily create bracelets with his initials on them so others know who you are.

Even though he pretended to be a cool brother, he's just as possessive as the others.

Just because he was "nice" to you doesn't mean he won't manipulate you.

He'd take any opportunity to be around you.

Oh! You want to dye your hair? Don't worry, your brother Dick conveniently has the color you wanted!

You can dye your hair like him and match with him! He's the kind of guy who's very obsessed with your tastes.

He wants to be the best brother to you, so don't be scared because he's too intense.

Also, I think he'd listen to hyperpop just for you. It's not his type of music, but he'd just listen to it to spend time with you.

He's not the best, but at least he tries, umm...

He doesn't really care.

He'd be like,

"Oh, you're scene? Cool."

One of the things he'd be least bothered by is your clothing style or appearance.

I mean, as long as you don't do anything stupid, he wouldn't mind.

Although I think he'd buy hair dye in all sorts of colors and literally turn your hair into a fucking rainbow, just to piss off Bruce because he knows you're not allowed to dye your hair without Bruce's permission.

He'd kill anyone who dares say anything negative about you or make fun of how you dress.

He wouldn't allow any bastard to talk bad about his sister.

He'd listen to hyperpop while reading or doing some activity like reading or kicking criminals' asses. I think it would be pretty funny.

He'd probably only listen to it because you asked him to, but I think eventually he'd start to like that style of music, but he'd never say it out loud

He'll pretend he doesn't care, but he really cares.

I could say he's one of the most obsessive people; he knows everything about you.

Maybe he knows you better than you know yourself; he has a folder full of your interests or possible interests in a private file on his computer.

He'll spend hours on the internet searching for information about it. If he wants to get close to you, he has to be smart.

He's like a predator.

He analyzes his prey and then attacks.

I think his approach would be subtle. It has to be smart and not too aggressive. He doesn't want to scare you into thinking he's some kind of creepy guy (if he is).

I think he would start slowly, with small comments about your appearance.

"Oh! You look pretty nice today!" or "That shirt really matches your outfit!"

Then, make comments about your interests, and he'd start getting closer and closer to you. He's not like the others.

If he wants to have you in his hands, he'll have to do it slowly and calmly. He's very good at hiding his true intentions.

I think he'd spend hours trying to find the best hair dye for you. He doesn't want your hair damaged because you decided to buy a poor-quality one.

Also, if you want to take a picture, don't worry! He'll be your personal photographer.

He takes the best photos on your blog. He's always taking pictures of you secretly. I'm pretty sure he knows all your good sides.

The only reason he's interested in all of this is because of you.

He'll do anything to be near you, even if it means changing all his interests to match yours.

He'd make pretty offensive comments saying you look like a clown or some kind of Joker Jr.

He'd be the worst when it comes to this; he doesn't know what's so interesting about dressing like a walking rainbow.

Be prepared for the mockery and passive-aggressive comments (though they're more aggressive than passive).

Even if he'd eventually accept it, halfway.

Sure, he'd still think it's completely ridiculous and pathetic, but he'd only accept it because it's you (and deep down, he thinks some of your outfits are pretty cool).

But he still WON'T ALLOW anyone to make fun of the way you dress.

you still remember the time he got suspended for a week from school for hitting on a kid who said your way of dressing was stupid

He's the only one allowed to make fun of your ridiculous way of dressing.

Also, I think he'd be drawn to your bracelets and shoes, if you're the kind of people who wears those long shoes, I think he'd really like them.

He'd indirectly ask you to give him one of your bracelets because he thinks they're pretty. Maybe he'd give you some accessories like colorful belts or a hair accessory.

He'd really pay attention to your makeup; depending on how colorful or extravagant your makeup is, he'd like it.

He secretly listens to the music you recommend. No kidding, some of it is actually quite good, so he even put it on his playlist.

He's more or less supportive of all this. He's grateful that his jokes about your appearance have lessened.

Although he'll most likely continue to make jokes about your appearance when he gets bored of being a good person.

This is a late request, so I hope the anonymous person who requested this enjoys it.

I don't know when I'll update again because it's exam time and school is really giving me a hard time. Lolololol

The thing you need to remember about comics ages and timelines is that yeah it's messy there are retcons at stuff and it will never be clear and perfect. But also, DC has an interest portraying age the way they do. They have an interest in aging Barbara down so she can be Dick's pretty girlfriend with whom he raises a cute dog (and maybe a cute little family next perhaps?). They have an interest in trying to keep Tim young and draw him younger than he looks so they can milk his Robin's popularity for as long as possible. They have an interest in drawing Jason to make him look 40 when Bruce slits his throat, to make him look like a grown man fighting a teenager when fighting Mia even though they're the same age (though i mantain that mia is a little bit older), in having him call Tim kid even though they're the same age, in having him offer Tim a drink and Tim pointing out he's not legal when Jason isn't either. They have an interest in Jason looking older in Jim Aparo's art style in ADITF than he looked in precrisis or in 308. They have an interest in Steph magically looking older in War Games, where she gets tortured and brutally murdered, than the fun colourful round and much more youthful art from her Robin run. There are probably many more examples but bottom line it's not fucking innocent. DC knows how to hire artists that know how to draw children it's really not that hard. Characters who look young, characters who remind you that they are young, create more empathy; which is good when you want the public to continue to root for them, and bad when those characters challenge the status quo or that excess of empathy might create pushback after you decide to have them brutally murdered. DC can't have Batman grievously wounding and causing the death of his underage son, but if he looks as old as Batman? DC can't have Jason making a valid point about vigilantism being unsafe for Mia and relating with her with childhood sexual abuse subtext because it makes the heroes (and especially Batman) look bad, but if it looks like this is a grown ass man harassing a teenage girl, then it's clear who is the villain, it's okay, no problem. DC needs Barbara to be younger so the power dynamic between her and Dick fits their idea of a perfect little nuclear family much better and they can shove Barbara back into the role of Batgirl even though she is very much a girl rather than a woman. DC needs Steph to look older when she's tortured so they can be edgy without people being too horrified at them doing something horrifying, DC needs Jason and Steph to look older on the day they die because young looking= innocent which makes it so much harder to victim-blame. DC needs Mia to look younger than Jason so they can make it look like the good old "good victim/bad victim" dichotomy and even though that's not what the story is actually about, regardless of how much it disrespects Mia's character to do so. DC needs Jason to look ugly because it's harder to empathize with ugly people and it makes it so much clearer who is the bad guy and who is the good one, and it's a much easier dichotomy, so much more comfortable than challenging the whole mythos around which Batman is built. DC needs Barbara to be sexy in their traditional male-gaze way, because this is the audience they're trying to appeal to.

So like, I know that I'm nit-picking when I say "actually according to any and all logic Jason is younger than Tim by a couple of months and than Mia by around three years". Or when I say "they should bring back Dickbabs' old age difference" or even interact with Dickbabs as if they still have that difference and refuse to interact with Tom Taylor's version of the ship. I know comics are incoherent and the timeline is messy; but just because it's messy, just because it's always been, doesn't mean it's innocent. So I'm gonna keep nitpicking, and I'm gonna stay an annoying bitch, because I refuse to allow comics to manipulate me out of my empathy. And because I don't see everything and am very aware of how easy it is to be manipulated even when you're careful, I encourage you to add to this with things you've noticed whether it's in portrayal or in art about character age, appearance, or any other device they might use to manipulate our perception of the characters -and what narrative these resorts serve.

For starters, shy isn't a problem for L. He appreciates that you're quiet and relatively polite. It makes it easier for him to get away with dating you because he knows you're not going to be obnoxious around headquarters, and there's a good chance you'll never even mention that you're his partner

He finds it vry cute. Especially when you stumble over your words when he flirts with you. His pride is very comfy with you.

You are a perfect parallel play lover!!! He's grateful that you don't pester him when he's busy, but he doesn't mind you being around him. You can draw, do homework, write, play video games, anything. He just appreciates your company. He's also 100% paying attention out of his peripheral vision.

But because you're quiet, sometimes you don't share all of your thoughts with him and it can make for a satisfying relationship. L sure as shit isn't disclosing a lot of stuff, so he sees it as even

A lot of your secrets are insecurities, though. You worry a lot about your competency as a romantic partner. Whether it's your intelligence, physical beauty, personality, interests, anything really. You're always anxious that you're not enough, and not enough for him.

Whenever we visit a new location, there's an in-game reason given for why it's these specific four characters chosen to go! I was eager to see why Vil had Jamil, Azul, and Ace come along with him to an acclaimed film festival... and I was not disappointed 😂

***Tapis Rouge in the Shaftlands spoilers under the cut!!***

So as it turns out, Vil has been invited to the International Film Festival in Fairest City (a significant location for the entertainment and beauty industries). He’s going to promote a movie he’s in that’s releasing next year.

The original plan was for the Film Research Club to accompany Vil and take the chance to learn more about movie productions. However, the club is in the middle of filming for their own project and a change in weather has led to their shoot next week being cancelled. The filming they would have done next week now has to be done this week, so Vil’s club members cannot go on the trip. (Vil himself still has to attend because he is contractually obligated to.)

The other NRC students start to argue over who Vil should take in his club members’ places. The people vying for spots include:

Cater (because the Fairest City is so trendy and always popular on Magicam)

Azul (many famous brands are sold in Fairest City; he has a financial interest in this research)

Lilia (has visited the city before, but never the film festival)

Jade (the city is close to old mines, which he is interested in)

Ace (he loves the idea of going to a fashionable city and “tasting” the celebrity world)

Rook (a lover of movies and dramas; he is curious about the movie studios)

Floyd, Epel, Deuce, Grim (lol it sounds fun to them; Epel also says he has not traveled a lot so he wants to go this time)

Ruggie (FANCY FOOD)

Jamil (wants to take advantage of Vil’s presence to see behind-the-scenes things they don’t normally show; he usually prepares snacks for when Kalim watches movies at one of three at-home theaters but hasn’t had the time to really appreciate the films for what they are himself)

DKJLBHASILYFAYFVQEFIFQEPI; I love the added detail of Jamil telling the others they're inconveniencing their senpai but then Azul cuts in and implies the behavior is a manipulation tactic to show off to Vil how reliable Jamil can be (thus increasing his odds of going while he still maintains his "humility")... Those two just cannot stop getting at each other's throats, I swear 💀 (In part 2, they continue the pettiness when Ace comments that they’re both quick to tease him together, so do they actually get along? Jamil says no but Azul says yes… and the two of them are STILL bullying each other about their personalities once they get their new outfits. Truly not a dull moment with them…)

BUT THIS IS THE REAL STINGER

So since Vil can only pick 5 people to take with him, he says they'll have to prove that they somehow excel over the others. It's then that Azul cooks up a scheme on the spot and recruits Jamil and Ace for it: a lottery! Azul proposes it, has Jamil pitch in, and has Ace prepare the drawings. THIS WORKS ON MULTIPLE LEVELS BECAUSE:

Azul can present the idea as "random" and "fair". This makes him appear like a kind problem solver not wanting to give anyone, not even himself, a leg up.

It would come off as shady if he gets one of the twins (known to be his henchman) to agree with him... so who does Azul get to back him up? Jamil, someone from another dorm, and someone who was passive aggressive with him earlier. This creates a false illusion that others beyond Azul and his dorm believe in the "fairness" of the lottery.

Ace has deft fingers; he a cut a deck of cards--and he can easily rig a lottery since he's in cahoots with Azul, the guy who suggested it to begin with.

This creates a situation where Azul, Jamil, AND Ace get to go to the event. These bitches are mutually benefitting from being collectively sneaky (According to Ace, Yuu and Grim pulled the remaining two slots by coincidence, so they just happen to be "lucky") 🤡 AND THE FUNNIEST PART OF IT ALL IS THAT VIL SUSPECTED THEY WOULD PULL THIS SHIT, BUT HE LET IT HAPPEN ANYWAY SINCE IT'S TECHNICALLY STILL THEM DEMONSTRATING THEIR TALENTS TO HIM...

Truly, bravo... That deserved a standing ovation, gentlemen 👏

I think Chopper uses they/he/it, but slightly prefers to be referred to by their name rather than pronouns

Chopper has attachment issues, but I couldn’t find anything other than avoidant attachment disorder (which doesn’t seem entirely fitting). But it definitely gets very attached to others when it trusts them and has a hard time moving on.

Also I just like to draw Chopper more reindeer-like than Chopper’s canon design but aside from that I don’t really make too many design changes? Just… floofy Chopper… 🩷🩷🩷

I recently ran an oneshot for my friends in Eureka.

It was a lot of fun and went mostly smoothly! The charakter creation was very easy. It still took more time than I expected, but that was simply because the players needed it to decide on which traits etc. to pick.

The central resolution mechanic with 2d6 is of course tried and true (I assume. Never played one of the many other 2d6 games.) but especially the Eureka system felt really good.

I think I read in a recent post of your's, that you are overhauling the chapter on combat. That seems very important to me. Even though I read the whole book once before running the game, I had immense problems finding out how small details of the combat worked during play. The musings on game design (eg, "yes, the combat is deadly, thats on purpose heres why" and such) where really enlightening to read, but got in the way when searching for concrete stats.

I will run the same oneshot again for different friends. The game seems really promising to me.

My mystery took place on a single in game evening, and none of the players were monsters. Having therefore only scratched at the surface of Eureka, I am looking forward to running it more.

And yeah everything about how the combat-related rules are structured is getting overhauled. All of that was written like 2 years ago when I was a slightly worse game designer and MUCH worse at writing coherent paragraphs and hasn’t been touched since until now. Instead of being split across like four paragraphs (what was I thinking), there will be just two chapters on it: “Instruments of Violence”, which is mostly just a giant list of references for the stats and special rules of weapons and armor, and “Dangerous Situations”, which covers every rule related to how your investigators can get killed. Some of these clean-ups are already available in the latest patreon release, and the rest are coming soon to both patreon and the itchio beta.

Combat is a very rare thing in Eureka, but when it does come up, we want it to be tight and granular, but without wasting the players’ time, which I think we’ve done pretty well at.

Like the book says, combat is deadly and there’s a reason why: so it doesn’t waste the players’ time.

This is a twofold problem to solve. The first layer of it, we solved by making sure the numbers are low. Most weapons can take a character down in 2 to 3 hits, so a single instance of two guys smacking each other will never take too many rounds.

Secondly, well, combat is dangerous and deadly, and if the PCs approach it without a plan, they’re gonna die, or at least get their asses kicked fast. Otherwise, well, I consider that a waste of the players’ time. If it was predetermined that the PCs would win otherwise the story can’t continue, well, what did we roll all those die, look up all those stats, and track all that HP for? Why didn’t we just describe the PCs winning and move on? Combat matters because it can change the outcome of the adventure, and if it can’t change the outcome, why are you rolling dice? Of course with death being so possible, to keep it fun, we gotta include lots of “tools” like cover, positioning, different weapons, special melee attacks, etc. that the PCs can use cleverly to give themselves an edge, and *earn* their survival.

Oh and also yeah can’t wait to hear what you think about the monsters. Funny thing about that, everyone who has read the rulebook knows that monsters and other supernatural creatures are supposed to be really rare, like one supernatural person for every 3,000,000 normal people kinda rare, but, monsters are super cool and fun to play, and are one of the big draws of the system, so we were kinda worried that that rarity wouldn’t come through in play, everyone would just be monsters. We considered setting a limit on how many monsters can be in a party? But quickly decided against it, because then players would have to compete for the limited monster slots, and people might even feel like if they’re not filling in that slot every single adventure, they’re missing an opportunity, and so every party would max out their monster limit every time and there’d, again, be way too many monsters.

In practice, though, most parties in Eureka seem to be comprised of all normal people, or all normal people and 1 monster at most, even without the limit. And I suspect this is both because monsters are kinda difficult to play despite their immense power, and, just to brag, because we made the normal PCs fun has hell to play too. :)

both have zero self worth, they reassure each other and built each other up over time

both have a hard time expressing emotions. especially: Percy worries over things he thinks will make him look stupid (or, more recent fear, scary), and Jason anything that would make him look weak

Percy has bad internalized homophobia, no matter how accepting his mom is, Gabe's insults left a mark on his brain, he just feels gross and wrong and doesn't know what to do (yes, it gets better, but it's rough)

Percy thinks Jason’s glasses are very cute, he steals them sometimes and Jason thinks he’s fucking adorable, unfortunately, to see this, he has to get pretty close. like kissing distance close

Jason is 6’4. Percy is 6’3. There is fucking relentless short jokes.

Percy, despite being only ~10 months older, is also teased about being old. He tells Jason to respect his elders.

Jason has abandonment issues. And autism, among other things

These two are so fucking cuddly. Like, it took a while before they were both on the same page, but now they're both so constantly in each other's space. always touching, always just near each other

Jason is a nice guy, he grew up trying to be Approachable and Nice, he tends to give out compliments bc people seem to like that (see above: autism), so naturally he compliments Percy and Percy 404's. he does not what to do, no idea how to take compliments (from his mom is normal but anyone else? weird). Jason does it even more just to see him blush (guaranteed result)

Cuddle and listen to audiobooks/podcasts together

Whoever introduced them to audiobooks/podcasts either thinks it's adorable or regrets everything, maybe both

Jason lighting round: cannot cook, can draw, bites his nails, king of lil kisses, car trauma, loves to play with Percy's hair, is scared of thunderstorms, the really loud ones that shake everything, likes to wear beanies (good sensory on his short hair)

Percy lightning round: best cook, loves gardening, grows some of his own food/veggies/spices, has so many fun piercings (pls hc your own favorite ones for him, I can never pick), has a weird relationship with food post-tartarus, also really sensitive to light post-tartarus, has long hair, dissociation problems and rsd, steals Jason's clothes (they're grounding)

Next up is Owen Mercer aka Boomerang Jr, son of Captain Boomerang and the speedster of the TrWh Outlaw team! Get ready for another long post you guys, god my hands are hurting this week arrughhh.

Owen's a fun character to draw and has a fun personality in general. He's more angsty and dark in the comics but since Digger finds out about him early on, Owen's much more happy in this au. Digger and Owen have a fantastic father-son relationship and Owen really looks up to him. Digger is so happy he found Owen but is kinda frantic on how to raise him, being a villain isn't the best job for a dad. Not sure what age Digger discovers him, maybe 10 or so?

That mini version of Digger's outfit is what Owen would've worn if he was discovered even younger (he's 4-6 in that doodle), preteen Owen would've found that outfit a bit too silly for his tastes tho.

Honestly I'm not sure if Owen even lives with him, since Digger is a rogue and probably in jail more often than not, Owen might still be in foster care. I don't remember if Owen was shown to be adopted in the comics, he was already shown to be an adult. Btw, concerning Owen's age*, I'm slightly lowering his age to better fit with Jason's age group (he's 12 to Jason's 10). He, along with Jack Moore, are the oldest of the team, too bad Owen doesn't care about acting his age!

While Owen loves hanging out with his father, he also likes to hang out with the Flash aka Barry Allen. Barry has been mentoring Owen on and off (much to Wally's dismay) and has been slowly pushing him towards heroism. He's knows Owen's got a good heart and see's that he has the potential to access the speedforce. Owen's a character that's caught between two worlds, rogue and hero. Does he want to follow in his father's footsteps or go follow Barry?

What a conundrum, but this is a problem he had in the comics. His struggle to figure what to do with his life. Actually, I think I heard somewhere he was actually created with the intent to replace Wally as the Flash but they dropped that plot point, leaving him adrift in the comics. Let me know if that's wrong tho!

Captain Cold aka Leonard Snart isn't helping matters as you can see in that vague threat up there, I'd like to better define that relationship between those two but I'd need to read more comics with Leonard to do that.

Here I have Owen with some of his friends and his dad. I said in my last post with Rankorr, that he and Owen's friendship is a nod towards the famous Green Lantern/Flash partnership. Owen's always trying to get Jack to loosen up and have fun, Jack sometimes finds this annoying but is slowly letting Owen in his life. You can see up there Owen giving Jason a ride someplace, bet Jason wishes he took the bus lol.

You can see Owen gushing over Para Dice, his canonical girlfriend from Rebirth. Owen at some point meets her in Australia and has an instant crush on her. Para is a rather mysterious girl, but has taken a liken to Owen as well. Still too young for a proper romance tho, plus Owen would need to sharpen up his speed skills if he wants to make this LDR work.

There's Digger training Owen in the art of the boomerang, rogue or hero, any son of Cap. Boomerang will be a learn to toss a good boomerang!

Here's Owen bother poor Lisa Snart aka Golden Glider. Owen can be a little insensitive, tho he's never actually malicious in intent (usually). Always thought it was weird that Lisa was considered a candidate for Owen's mother, she didn't seem old enough for that (Owen was like early twenties). Anyways Lisa thinks he's an annoying little twerp...

...and not the only one. Here's Owen bothering poor Jesse. Also you can see I messed up on her shirt design, wasn't really thinking about what I was drawing I guess. I do that sometimes lol.

On the nature of Owen's and Jason's relationship, they seem to quite like each other. Neither of them had many friends before the team, and find easy camaraderie in having simple boyish fun together, which is something they kinda needed in life. You'll sometimes see them making complex plans for the next prank (Lori is invited as well).

In team dynamics, Jason can find Owen tendency to not take fights seriously kinda annoying. While Owen can sometimes disregard Jason's leadership (should Jason be leader that day I mean) due to him being younger. Friction isn't common between them though, perhaps because they got a lot in common.

From being caught between opposing morality, difficulty in finding a niche in the DC comics, even in trying to discover who their mothers are. Its can be validating to know people who understand what your going through.

Little more focus on Owen's relations, I said that Barry has been trying to steer Owen towards good but I also think that Barry just thinks that Owen is just a fun little guy in general. I'd think they get along pretty well, Wally looks so pissed tho. There was this one comic where Hal had Wally as a sidekick for a day and Barry was pretty jealous. Guess the reverse is happening here. Wally's a favored target for Owen's pranks, so this whole situation is just very annoying to him.

Here's Digger introducing Owen to the rogues, Leonard looks befuddled at all this (Digger got a girl preggo? crazy).

Wanted to have Digger and Owen watch cartoons together, so I looked up Australian cartoons, found something called Bluey. Apparently it's super popular, even adults like it. So I found some free cartoons on youtube and yeah. It really is that good. Look it up if you want to see some fun, relaxing cartoons with smart writing!

To finish off this mass of words, here's Owen being a goofball with Eddie and Jason. I'm slowly finding that Owen's got a pretty fun dynamic with most anyone I draw him with. So that's been fun.

All this and I still haven't gone into Meloni and Bart, but it's best if I leave that for later. Anyways, hoped you like all that!

*About Owen's age, the comics never specified what his age actually was. All I know he's in his twenties but still younger than Dick's age group. Young enough to be unsure of his place in the world, but old enough that his 'relationship' with Kara to be weird. I guess it'd be less weird in my au with a smaller age gap, but that's still not happening.

I just played through CBML and... oh.. my god. I've been trying my best to not laugh out loud since it is almost 2 AM. I LOVED IT!!! I can't wait for the next game!

I've been scrolling through your Tumblr and you seem to know a lot about The Beatles. I've just recently started to get into the fandom. I'd just like to ask you for any book or film recommendations of the fab four? Like The Anthology book and the series or something like that. I would love to know more about them! They seem so interesting, yet so disturbing to an innocent eye..

God I don't know, my knowledge has been cultivated by so much stuff over the past 7 years. To be honest, I now just look up info I need rather than read or watch Beatles stuff for fun (besides what I mention later).

Tune In the extended edition is super super thoroguh, but it only goes up to 1962. That's right, 1000 pages (?) of just the beatles childhood and beginning of the band.

I haven't even read all my books, you know why? I spend all my time drawing bitch. I used to be such a reader. It does make it difficult when I know if I crack open a book it will be full of horrible events by these terrible naughty lads.

Just read any Biography that interests you, but keep in mind some biographers have their biases, or are less credible than others. I tend to enjoy ones that focus on a certain topic (like Beatles in Hamburg, or Beatles 1963) cause you'll have more specific information or anecdotes. The broader ones that are just about the Beatles, or about one Beatle tend to be of a similar length, and can't go into detail on everything, so tend to cover the same stuff.

I will say, don't rely on video essays or short form content (like tik toks!) for information, or at least don't take them as fact. There is a fair bit of fake info about these guys online, so be a critical thinker!

The most fun way to get a sense of the Beatle boys is to watch interviews and performances of the era. I've come to prefer straight up experiencing them from the source.

Watch the movies! A Hard Day's Night (especially considering my next game), Help!, Magical Mystery Tour, even Yellow Submarine and the Beatles Cartoon (peak).

Be careful though because post 60s Paul loves to be a fat lying slut and tells the same fucking stories over and over for literal decades. I used to have a cute little list of them.

The problem with documentaries is that they just turn into a really felatiatory circle jerk of people who really want to ride their dicks, which I find annoying.

The BeatlesVideos01 on youtube is a great source, they upload so many, there are a lot of gems of interviews and performances that aren't the most popular ones. KistuBeatles has a lot of great remastered videos.

Or right, Get Back. Watch get back, there's the beatles straight up existing for 6 hours. (even if its a very specific period for the group).

To be frank, I don't think I've watched Anthology all the way through, but I think I already heard the stuff they talk about in it, and it gets parroted in biographies cause it came out a while ago.

okay, so im a brainrotted freak, and ive had p.AI.nter on my mind for a while. naturally, i gave the bastard a body! here ya go!

rant/art dump below the cut

first off, p.ai.nter is a short king. mostly because i like the aesthetic, but its also convenient for him! it takes less resources to keep his body going! i imagine he would also wanna be smaller so that he could be more intricate with his art.

now, because he is mobile, the power source becomes an issue. hes an old computer! how does he survive unplugged ?!

well, here, i introduce the wonderful world of BATTERIES!

p.ai.nter would have a battery somewhere in his core, which would be how he keeps himself charged. that also means i get to give him a little cord tail! (for charging purposes, of course.)

i also am giving him a second tail, just for funsies. he deserves a USB drive with his conscience in it. he connected to other tech in the blacksite, so he should be able to keep doing that! because it was a very SAFE and FRIENDLY action on his part!

maybe angsty, but i think that p.ai.nter finds humans a wee bit gross, especially after everything that happened to him. why would he wanna be human shaped?

he wants something mobile and appropriate for a human-dominated world, of course, so he needs to have arms and a torso—but he wants his machinery to be obvious, if that makes any sense. no exposed wires (he is not stupid), but flashy metal bits, visible joint segments, yap!

now, building off of that, p.ai.nter would prefer a bird-like shape to his legs. he would definitely need to go through some manner of physical therapy in order to pilot his new body, and so he needs legs that inherently provide for more balance!

therefore, an excuse to give him anthro legs.

considering how much art p.ai.nter will probably begin creating, he wants something that doesnt stain easily.

a small problem : he doesnt like the look of dark paint! it doesnt match his monitor, and thats awful!

so, he resorts to covering clothes.

p.ai.nters shirts would need to be oversized and flowy to accommodate for his THICK AS FUCK head. so that he can actually put them on without stretching them out, of course.

therefore: oversized sweaters, long skirts, and aprons!

fucking GOLDEN! housewife looking guy! funky!

p.ai.nter wants to be MOBILE! theres so much to do and see! hes been locked down for years, how could he waste a perfectly good body ?!

he has several jointed segments in his torso to aid in movement and rotation, and his limb joints are made out of pliable metal tubes.

it also aids his precision in art! its easier to get clear views without body parts in the way and whatnot.

note: p.ai.nter settled on having five fingers per hand, despite insisting he wanted four for stylistic purposes. five fingers are ideal for human equipment, hes pretty sure.

now, you might be thinking, this guy has a lot going on. does he not overheat? hes a sentient brick?

there is a solution : air holes and internal fans!

a few strategically placed holes cover p.ai.nters body to aid in natural ventilation. its kinda like breathing!

inside of his body, cooling fans are centered in his chest and limbs. they distribute the air more evenly.

he really overheats when hes trying to do too much, such as controlling several devices or thinking about too many things at once!

now, for the behavioral headcanons :

painter has a LOT of fun toying with his new body. he goes on leisurely strolls sometimes, because hes previously never been able to.

his art will improve a lot upon receiving a body! having a new sense of autonomy would be a serious upgrade for him, and he would have many new ways of living. it wouldnt be AS dull to be a sentient AI in an abandoned facility.

he might go find ellies painting and stare sadly at it, though—i assume this theory still holds up? right? please?

sometimes he mimics the faces of other people on his monitor! like, he might draw sebastians eyes and mouth, and just uses that face to talk to him sometimes. as a means of teasing or affection. (he could probably do this before getting a body, but having a body definitely gives him the energy to do silly things like this!) pretty good way to find out how he sees your face, too.

despite p.ai.nter overheating when he runs too many tasks, hes a chronic multitasker! he tries to make the most of his new body, and hes often forced to sit back and slow down.

painter tried to convince his builder—most likely sebastian, with his engineering major and all—to let him have turrets on his arms, but that could become problematic with p.ai.nters mental state, so he agreed to have fake turrets for stylistic purposes only! he likes to keep them on his forearms and thighs, secured with straps that can be taken off. he enjoys pointing them at things and pretending to shoot stuff—which is EXACTLY why he doesnt get to have real guns.

and, after all this buildup, who would i be to not provide some full pictures? <3

as a big enjoyer of suicidal evil characters i LOVE when fans actually put care into depicting jimmy... he's an awful human being but in a v specific and impactful way,... like pre-crash curly unambiguously liked jimmy and was closer to and prioritized him above the rest of the crew (that fucking psych eval... lmao...) which is RLY IMPORTANT to getting exactly how bleak anya's situation was...! anyways ummm i like how you draw anya and curly's noses. also that drink comic of yours is one of my all time fav  shitpost jimmys. that semi-not-joking mass death ideation + halfhearted backtrack is so choice

i think its valid to not want to depict jimmy, especially bc he is a terrible person whos done incredibly upsetting things that lots of people have experienced. but i think its important to not just label jimmy as a monster in general and then set him aside, but to acknowledge that hes a person that continuously choose to do bad things in efforts to self serve and shift blame, and that there is a method to his madness. theres a lot of really fucking interesting characterization going on with jimmy, and while he uses that all to be a shitty abuser, hes still a compelling villain protagonist. its a shame that this fandom is so hostile to any sort of delving into him, to even mention him, unless its surrounded by 300 warnings and disclaimers. understandable, but a shame.

the way jimmy wormed his way into positions of power over others due to the neglect of pony express and curly's desire to "fix" him, how jimmy had his talons deeply sunk into curly who just rolled over for him when it came to his assault on anya. how jimmy was able to use swanseas solitary personality and daisukes naivety to exert his dominance and desire for control over anya and the tulpar which he was never capable of handling in the first place due to his lack of responsibility and selfishness, which ultimately brought everyone down...oh that is wonderful tragedy. the trainwreck, the facade, the hubris, the unreliability. a big house of cards posed perfectly to be knocked over in an instant. sadly everyone knows an incompetent idiot who thinks hes the shit and makes it your problem, everyone knows the guy you have to warn new people about. not as fun when its in reality. but i think exploring these ideas in fiction can help prepare, notice, and prevent jimmys from ruining you and others lives.

also hehe i like the drink comic a lot as well. im glad people like the little bits of character i was able to shoehorn into single frames. theres too many comments about "why didnt jimmy put drugs/poison in there" which completely forget that 1) this is all on video evidence, which the crew will be watching back/posting 2) he also has to drink it 3) literally what would he gain for killing the crew before they even leave earth. lmao. jimmy adding monster to what he assumes to be alcohol is reflective of his impulsive spite towards swansea talking shit to everyone (him), but played off as a joke to save face. loooook its just a little jab back at swansea, no biggie. just tit for tat. his willingness to make everyone suffer (including himself) bc one person made him feel tiny. gnashing my fucking teeth

I came because I ran into Floyd and Bruce at the market, and they seemed pretty worried about having to leave you alone after Clay and Branch went off to do that thing with Poppy, but I was free and missed you, so I told them I could come check on you! They also told me you've been having a really hard time with all that pain. Poor thing! But don't worry, the superhero Viva is here to-

Viva (horrified and shocked): JOHNNY?!?!

JD (dying on the floor): *indigestion noises* uuuuggggghhhh…

Not much later…

Viva (relieved): It's actually a relief that all that drama was just from a little heartburn! I thought you were going to die…

JD (nauseated, with a brand new braid in him freshly styled hair): I want to die, Viva…

Hello world and all who inhabit it! (⁠☆⁠▽⁠☆⁠).

After a scare and some preambles, here it is! Finally with us is the original Take 6 of JD with Braces, now transformed into Take 7! ✧⁠◝⁠(⁠⁰⁠▿⁠⁰⁠)⁠◜⁠✧. For those missing some context, over a week ago I accidentally deleted the original comic drawings and almost had a heart attack. But luckily for me, I was able to recover the sketches thanks to taking a screenshot of them to show to a friend on Discord! So all I had to do was dig through the conversation a bit, and I found the images!

So, here it is! The next installment of JD with Braces! Featuring an adorable Viva and more suffering for JD! (⁠ﾉ⁠◕⁠ヮ⁠◕⁠)⁠ﾉ⁠*⁠.⁠✧

Because yes, JD's suffering continues. ಡ⁠ ͜⁠ ⁠ʖ⁠ ⁠ಡ. Seriously, I love beating this guy up and making him suffer (lovingly). Now I understand why there are so many hurt/comfort fanfics surrounding this guy. It's really fun to hit him with a stick and then have someone in his family hug him!

And yes, my JD will soon be getting a hug, because he deserves it, but I wanted to throw him another curveball before we get to that.

Oh, but first, here's a new link to my masterpost! Also, in case you missed it, a few days ago I posted the Official Braces JD Designs along with a good portion of the general lore! So go check it out if you haven't seen it!

And with that said, let's talk about what happened in this Take. (⁠✿⁠^⁠‿⁠^⁠).

As everyone should know by now, JD had to undergo several orthodontic treatments to remove tartar from his mouth, treat three cavities, fix a molar tooth, and finally get braces for an underbite he'd been diagnosed with as a teenager and put off fixing for the 20 years he was alone, only for his oral problems to come crashing down on him once he was reunited with his younger siblings, causing his family to kick and scream at him to the dentist.

Because of this, JD was put on bed rest for a month, along with a strict dental cleaning routine, a specific diet, and a prescription for a wide assortment of medications he has to take every day if he wants to survive the immense pain in his mouth and for his teeth to heal properly. He's followed these medications almost religiously since being sent home after his braces were installed… and I say "almost" because John's medications are so disgusting that it's a struggle for him to take them every day, to the point where he runs away from his brothers to avoid them. And the fact that he likes to sneak out every night to steal ice cream. The whole situation has him exhausted and stressed, having temporarily caused him to lose some of his color very recently. But that's the last of his problems, because a new one has been unlocked.

His brothers had left him alone in the bunker for a few hours while they did some things. Branch and Clay headed out to help Poppy with her Queen duties, while Bruce and Floyd headed out to get some fresh food for dinner and take Floyd to his own checkup, since despite everything going on with John Dory, Floyd was still recovering from the diamond incident. Floyd and Bruce weren't supposed to take more than an hour for either of their two tasks, but they were both late to the market and consequently, late to Floyd's appointment, which would mean JD would be alone longer. They were discussing what to do when suddenly, Viva shows up to greet them, and since she has nothing else to do, they ask her to check on John at the bunker. At least to see if the man was okay and hadn't gone looking for ice cream in the bunker (because Branch eventually decided to hide the ice cream somewhere else to keep John from eating it, and he definitely wasn't going to let the one thing that makes his life less miserable disappear).

Naturally, Viva accepted the errand and left excitedly, since she hadn't seen JD since he got his braces and hadn't been able to visit him to see how he was doing. She'd only heard from Poppy (who was informed by Branch) that the guy was having a really bad time, so she made it her mission to cheer John up once she saw him and maybe braid him, since she'd also heard that John had been too tired to fix his own hair lately.

However, on the way to the bunker, Viva nearly had a heart attack when she found John lying on the floor, writhing in apparent pain and moaning.

The princess thought the worst, and in a panic, she scooped JD up and ran straight to the doctor, obviously causing a scene along the way. News soon traveled, and the other brothers, plus Queen Poppy, were already dropping everything to get to their older siblings and see what the hell had happened, freaking out after learning of Viva's exaggerated reaction.

In the end, and of course, it was all a kind of false alarm... but no less important. The doctor examined JD and, after being told about his condition and his recent orthodontic treatments, along with the medications he had to take, the doctor concluded that what JD was experiencing was just heartburn: apparently a result of the numerous medications he had to take raw.

Because, of course, a person couldn't take antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, painkillers, and migraine pills all at once, unadulterated, on a daily basis without them causing a stir in their stomach, so now JD, in addition to his other problems, suffered from a horrible burning sensation in his chest and stomach, along with a sickening feeling of nausea.

So, after calling the dentist and getting a consultation with the doctor, they both prescribed a new batch of medications. All of them still tasted revolting, and now, among them, a stomach medicine that would neutralize the mess of the rest of the medicine. Luckily for John, it wasn't a bitter herbal concoction, but a simple tea that would negate the effects of his usual medication.

But it would only have a 60% chance of working, so JD would still suffer from heartburn from time to time.

Oh, and upon learning of his sleep problems, the doctor also prescribed JD some sleeping pills. More guests for the cocktail of medicines that would party in his stomach and make his life hell!

By this point, JD wanted to kill himself.

The good thing was that Viva decided to stay for dinner that night and took the opportunity to comb JD's hair while he rested on the couch, happy that his friend and brother-in-law wasn't (actively) dying. She wanted to do something more elaborate and brilliant, but she also didn't want to force him to move around too much and adjust for her, so she made a simple braid with what she had. Although it wasn't a big deal, John felt a little better not having his hair in a mess for once since arriving at the Bunker.

But only a little, since his stomach was still burning and he felt nauseous.

And that would be all.

(⁠^⁠～⁠^⁠;⁠)⁠ゞ. At the end of last year and the beginning of this year, I developed 3 CONSECUTIVE ABSCESSES, and on the third one, they prescribed me an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory, which gave me heartburn, so I had to take a third pill for the upset stomach. But don't worry about me, I'm fine now and I don't have to take medicine anymore✨.

Unfortunately, John doesn't. (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠). However, don't feel sad either. Things will slowly improve from here on out! The road to braces is long and tedious (from what I've researched), and added to those other issues John had with his mouth, it's definitely going to be quite an odyssey for him.

And we're just getting started. XD

But anyway! Speaking a little about the art itself, I decided to try some new things this time. Drawing Viva wasn't as difficult as I thought, and the truth is, she turned out very pretty for my first time drawing her🩷🩷🩷.

It's a shame I couldn't do her eyes open. She probably would have looked very beautiful, especially with makeup. While I was coloring her, I realized that Viva's makeup is very pretty, and I would love to be able to do something more elaborate for her another time. I also redid a profile, which didn't turn out too bad, and a lying-down pose. The pose I chose for John (if you noticed the reference) was difficult because the original image isn't very detailed and is even a little confusing, but I did my best. Now, I'm not sure I got the effects right. I wanted to do anime-style reactions, but I think they came out weird. Especially the shadow around John.

This would be the image without those effects.

Finally, for the third panel, I decided to take a risk with a much more complex pose. Originally, JD was supposed to be leaning on Viva's gift on the couch, but Viva's seated body wouldn't come out, so I made it look like she was leaning on the couch from behind. I also had to draw a couch, which, I know, turned out awful. (⁠─⁠.⁠─⁠|⁠|). It's just really hard to make characters interact with objects, and I wanted at least the couch to look somewhat soft, so excuse me if it turned out ugly. Like I said before, I'm experimenting with a lot of new things with my art in this AU, so it's mostly just me doing what comes to mind without much thought.

And as always, I'm so sorry for the mess that is the speech bubbles and dialogue. I'm seriously still not sure how to place them coherently. (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠). Luckily I can organize things better in the translation, but it's still something I definitely need to improve.

Welcome to Smosh

Summary: A salary increase isn't the only benefit when you leave your old job to work for Smosh.

AN: Wrote this a while ago and wasn't going to post but decided, why not? Enjoy a little Sunday night random blurb.

When your friend Mika said she was applying for a job at Smosh, you had to ask her what a “Smosh” was. After making fun of you for living under a rock, she explained the history of the youtube channel. She then told you there was another job opening on their social team and you should apply for it.

While you were nervous, you had to admit your current job was subpar at best, and really a shitshow if you told the truth. And working with your best friend? Well at least you’d have one person there you knew.

So, you submitted the application and the process began. And then it moved rapidly. So rapidly that you barely had any time to do research before the interview, leaving you feeling awkward and unprepared. You first meet with Lisa from HR, and are asked to stay once it’s over. You hope it’s a good sign.

You then meet with a few other staff members. You don’t recognize them from your quick study of the channel, but you figure the more corporate people don’t tend to be in videos frequently, if at all.

After that conversation is over, you’re asked to come back the next day.

You get there and find out your meeting is with Lisa, as well as Anthony, one of the owners of the channel. After a short conversation they offer you a job, surprising you with how quickly this whole process went.

After seeing the offer you immediately sign the contract and upon arriving home, send your resignation for your current job.

Two weeks fly by and it’s your first official day at Smosh. Though Mika also got hired in the editing department, that process took longer and she won’t be joining for a few more days. Leaving you to go and meet all these new people alone.

You still hadn’t had much time to watch many Smosh videos. So while you could put a face to a name, and knew cast versus crew, that was about the extent of your knowledge. 

Lisa shows you around and introduces you to everyone, just quick introductions but even spending just a moment with everyone has you realizing a problem. 

Everyone here is attractive. 

Not just physically, but they seem kind, and friendly, and funny. All things that draw you to a person. A few of the guys stood out to you, but you try to ignore that and remain professional. 

But they don’t exactly help. Because the three guys you were interested in, all seem to be constantly around you. Even though they really have nothing to do with your department. 

Even worse, you are terrible at picking up when people are into you, constantly thinking they just want to be friends. So it takes the help of others for you to realize what is happening. 

Ian often stops by your desk, but his pretense of “seeing how you’re settling in” gets a little less believable the longer you’re there. You’re confused when Erica starts giving you looks after his visits. 

Damien is no better, asking you to join his table at lunch nearly every day, even when it’s been weeks and you’ve sat nowhere else. He’s always turning to you, getting your opinion and asking questions. You don’t think too much of it, not until Courtney pulls you aside and asks if you like him back. 

And then there’s Spencer, bringing you tea multiple times a week, sometimes more than once a day, just so talk to you. Tommy’s the one giving looks and asking questions this time. 

You brush off Erica, Courtney, and Tommy, saying that they’re just friends, nothing more. But then the pattern continues and you finally admit it may be something more. 

And when all three boys ask you on a date, on the same day, you know you’ve gotten yourself into quite a predicament. This was definitely not how you imagined your Welcome to Smosh to go.

Hi! You definitely don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but I looked at your tier list and saw that Jack and Epel were in the "sliiiiiiiightly dislike" and "solid dislike" categories respectively. Jack is easily in my top 5 and I find Epel to be a fun character despite feeling more neutral towards him, so I was just curious as to why you personally don't like them that much.

Jack actually used to be in the same "solid dislike" tier as Epel. (I briefly explain his ascension to another tier here.) I've loosened up on my opinion of him since his dream in book 7, but I still don't consider him to be a character that I particularly enjoy.

A lot of things about who Jack fundamentally is just do not appeal to me. For example, his design has many elements that I find unattractive (big muscles, silver hair in a spikey mullet, wolf ears and tail, the whole "tough guy" look, etc.). I don't dislike tsunderes (my own Twst OC is one), but I'm extremely picky with them. I prefer tsundere characters to have a reason or part of their backstory that explains why they find it hard to express themselves truthfully. To my knowledge, Jack doesn't really have that, so I instead find him "tsundere for the sake of checking it off on the cast" instead of cute. He gives me very strong... dog energy (especially with the way he idolizes Leona and trails Ruggie around offering to do stuff to help him out), and that's a HUGE demerit for Jack, since I am very much a Dog Disliker. Any traits you would normally assign to a dog and find appealing about them become drawbacks for Jack in my eyes. The one big thing I do happen to like about Jack is that him being the stubborn moral compass of the group makes for interesting clashes with other characters (particularly those within his own dorm).

Epel falls into other tropes I dislike: the "babyfaced one who wants to be manly" and the "country bumpkin that's a fish out of water in the big city/a new community". I feel like there's very few ways to do these without inevitably falling into the same story beats, and I do not find this engaging. I think that Epel's character arc in book 5 happened much too fast and needed more time to cook. (He spent 16ish years with conservative gender views and it takes a SINGLE social media post from Vil to get him to change his mind?? Okay??????) Admittedly, a large part of why I dislike Epel is that his Harveston dialect is EXTREMELY difficult to translate over into English and I'm never quite satisfied with how I've chosen to write it. The dialect always comes off as "too exaggerated" one way or another. His general behavior is also much too immature and rowdy for my liking (he's too overeager to fight, he speaks out of turn to seniors and figures of authority, etc.); if you haven't noticed by now 😂 I tend to prefer mature, collected, and brains over brawn types, which Epel does not really align with.

I think the general problem for both Jack and Epel for me is that it takes them both much, MUCH longer than the other characters to gain any sort of meaningful depth. Their content so often falls back on the same old safety nets ("I like to exercise!"/"I like apples!") instead of trying to find some creative ways to expand on them. For example, we know that Malleus likes exploring ruins and the solitude they provide, but he also wonders about the history tied to them, admires architecture, etc. When he visits new places, he comments about the differences between his home and this new location. This demonstrates his curiosity and also lets us know he knows very little about the world. Jade has his obvious interests in the mountains and mushrooms, but he has also indicated that he wants to try drawing specimens he finds and that he finds manhole covers interesting. You can see him expanding beyond his initial interests and wanting to learn more about the human world. What do Epel and Jack tend to do? "Oh, I'm reading this book because I want to build more muscle definition!"/"Apples are the best fruit ever, have some that my family sent!" Arguably, these types of behaviors could be extrapolated to determine something else about the boys (Jack is very determined/a hard worker, Epel cares deeply about his family and believes in the quality of their produce), but the issue is that this is so often ALL they are portrayed as. I feel that neither of them get the same amount of nuance and diversification that the rest of the NRC cast enjoys.

Whenever people compare Hazel and Timmy its like why r we making two bad bitches fight, they could easily be best friends guys, like I fully think Hazel would help Timmy kinda think his actions though and help him actually process his emotions while Timmy would help Hazel to try not to overthink things and that everything will be ok in the end. Cosmo and Wanda love BOTH of them guys, yes there's a difference in status (IE. Hazel doesn't need Cosmo and Wanda as her parental figures, being more like aunt/uncle vs Timmy who kinda does, and has more of an adopted kid vibe with them) but that doesn't make Timmy or Hazel bad characters!! Nor does it make Timmy or Hazel a worse godkid, I legit just think they both show different styles of godparenting respectfully, and I think that's perfect? It was obvious that Cosmo and Wanda were doing something different with Timmy, Him being proclaimed the favorite, as well as the amount of time they spent with him in general. Timmy was a lot more neglected then Hazel, and I think Cosmo and Wanda had more of a parental attachment to him.

Hazel though has different problems, she has more severe anxiety and is in a new place that she's having trouble adjusting too! and unlike timmy, she experienced a loss of a caretaker when she was a kid, which is a different type of pain than having no caretaker. Comso and Wanda don't try to be Hazel's parents though, rather just another adult figure in her life that she can go too!! Yes I think that Hazel is a lot more fortunate than Timmy and I won't lie one of my criticisms for the new show is the fact that she too happy, which contradicts a lot of the OG's shows' logic that Godkids have to be miserable, but I think this was done for a writing shift, so that so much humor wasn't focused on the cynical tried to be funny outlook they had with Timmy, but actually focused on the fun a godparent CAN be! Hazel is still an amazing protagonist and cause of her we get more fun adventures with Cosmo and Wanda, and adventures in her world too!

I also think that Timmy in general is a more compelling main character but that's cause of my own preferences and beliefs. Im sure there are so many kids rn who watch A New Wish and see themselves in Hazel, like how so many of us saw ourselves in Timmy! I think there's a lot of misinformation and mischaracterization between both of them, and it sucks ALOT!! Im not super into a new wish as I am compared to the old show, but I can respect both protagonists without trying to make the other one seem any less. Saying that Timmy is worse then Hazel just feels like were writing off his characters to the bare bones that were kinda fucked up by butch Hartman himself. If you actually watched and took time to see his character, you'd see how he always just wanted to be a part of his family in the end, that a lot of his wishes were suppose to be somewhat selfless, and meant for the people he loved to be happy!! The "selfish" wishes he made were made out of emotional distress, which, what 10-year-old isn't experiencing at all times??? He had severe circumstances that its hard to draw the line as to what was just cartoon exaggeration vs what his reality is, cause as the show went on his parent's disdain for him felt very real.

He still stood up though, and he put his fairies safety above all else at times, and its so sweet, and shows how much Timmy really was part of their family. He is very much an average kid who no one understands and its sooo funny that it ended up being like that in the general public as well. Timmy did the best with what he had and tbh it was amazing!! I really loved the found family of it all and I do think he belongs with Cosmo and Wanda <3 BUT I THINK IN TERMS OF SHOWS, THEIR BOTH GOOD PROTAGS!! they just have diff storytelling/different circumstances and both are experiencing a different style of godparenting

im saying this as one of the top 10 Timmy Turner fans ever btw
