I noticed something about TADC during the last episode. Every episode so far has had an NPC directly reference God as part of the adventure.
"God will be gloinks!"
"You must be the brave knights sent to us by God!"
"I realized the monster was one of God's angels."
I dunno if this has any significance at all, but it's worth thinking about considering the other Christian themes that pop up. C&A obviously stands for Caine & Abel, the last supper imagery in the pilot, Pomni referring to the circus as hell multiple times...
Caine is literally a false god here, creating the digital land they all live in, and has the NPCs refer to him as such, but he's clearly insecure about his abilities and doesn't know the full extent of the world. He has good intentions but he's clearly not the one in charge. So i think that whole god complex thing is going to be important.
Now i haven't watched that matpat video where he says Pomni is Jesus. And yea his point is probably really stupid BUT I do feel like there could be a couple allegories there. At least to the extent of "Pomni is probably gonna save them all in the end" or "Pomni has to sacrifice herself". or both.
At least i HOPE thats as far as it goes because i dont want Gangle to be Judas noooo my babyyyy.. but u can betray jax all you want tho honey he deserves it.

syscourse makes us so insanely frustrated because everyone forgets that ALL origin theories are uh. Theories.
They are not ontological Types of Systems by belief that one is xyz -genic thing, they are not Totally Exclusive Neurotypes, they are theories for why one is experiencing their material 'more than one' experiences.
There is no 'this is what a trauma/endo/whatever-genic system looks like' that will not exclude some people who believe in those origins that they do and can back those beliefs up with well reasoned ideas about it that are as good as any other.
Yelling at people for experiencing material experiences and asking for resources or community because they don't have the right theories about why they are that way is unhelpful- and yes, this happens on both sides.
We think perhaps things could get a little less awful if everyone on all sides acknowledged that what we are ALLEGEDLY fighting about is theories on origin being coherent/true or not and maybe chose to stop pretending like theories were types of systems.
Maybe stop gatekeeping resources (both people saying x origin dni on this resource post and self-gatekeeping refusal to read resources that could help because you arent a traumagenic/tulpa/whatever system) based on THEORY when all its doing is denying help to people who may be helped by it.
The butter knife may be great to butter bread but you can also use it as a screwdriver if none are present, yeah? Reading isnt 'taking resources'.
For all all of us know this is autoimmune BS that alters the brain and can be activated through various means and DID is that plus C-PTSD layered and ALL of us are wrong! We just do NOT know enough about the brain and what is going on there in full.
We are fighting a THEORY debate, and we really wish people would remember that and stop trying to make it a 'you aren't actually plural because you aren't exactly like me' war.
And for those that really arent fighting a theory war and DO want to fight a 'this is the only material experience that is valid despite the fact that this will lock out professionally diagnosed systems that you are claiming to help' war, thats nasty. Shame on you.
Just. Seeing WAY too much of people treating theories like perfectly defined neurotypes and its just AAAHGHGHHGGHGH

The thing about TFA is that I think it’s a pretty good Transformers cartoon, it’s fun and has interesting spins on the usual premises of TF. But I honestly don’t think it’s as deep as a lot of the fandom likes to act as it is.
Like, sure, in the show we have a few glimpses of Cybertron under Autobot rule and get inklings that this isn’t a pure and wholesome society. Except we literally don’t get anything besides that-- glimpses. All of the backstory that actually reveals the ~problematic~ and ~revolutionary~ things of the TFA continuity takes place solely in extra materials. And even if you could convince me that this is a valid way of telling a story (spoilers: NO because I shouldn’t have to buy multiple separate pieces of merchandise, half of which is shown via Word of God/meta texts and not actual story content, to be able to understand a single story), it honestly doesn’t make a difference. None of the extra material that shows the dark/gritty parts of TFA shows up in the cartoon itself.
It doesn’t matter that the flying twins were experimented on while on the verge of death because they sure don’t act like it matters. It doesn’t matter that the Decepticons apparently used to be enslaved as war machines, because the show sure as hell doesn’t give them any deeper characterization than “we’re gonna take over Cybertron because we’re the Decepticons raaaaawwwwrrr!” And it doesn’t even matter that Optimus Prime, one of the main characters of the show, is literally a high-ranking military officer of a regime that brainwashes/experiments on civilians, because as far as the story is concerned his biggest problems are 1. Trying to get his crew to listen to him 2. Fighting Decepticons 3. Putting up with his annoying superiors after he got kicked out of the Elite Guard. (Note that just because he didn’t make it in the Elite Guard doesn’t mean he’s not still important: Prime is one of the highest ranks the military has, and Optimus was given freaking Omega Supreme, a top secret war weapon/artifact, as his ship.)
The story is trying to pose itself as something deeper and more serious, but ultimately fails because those deeper/serious things are barely covered in the show or delegated to side materials.
Am I saying TFA is a terrible show that has no good ideas at all? Am I saying that people who like TFA are dumb and should watch another show? Not at all. I’m just saying that I think the fandom opinions of TFA as a show honestly overhypes it compared to the actual content of the show itself. Forget about the dark and gritty backstory, the vast majority of TFA is spent on human villains and random skirmishes on Earth instead of the actual interesting part, the Autobot/Decepticon war and the state of Cybertron!
If you want a TF continuity that has great lore (and doesn’t require you to watch a cartoon, read a book, find a bunch of old interviews, read a comic, and listen to a script reading at a con), IDW1 and IDW2 are both right there waiting for you. Especially IDW2, which is written as a single continuous story and not as the chaotic decade-and-a-half long mess that is IDW1.
#squiggposting#also another reason i dont really like fanon views of tfa is that like#the content for MOP and especially OP himself is so meh#people seem to think OP is like a crybaby twink who's the victim of constant bullying#and M is the one who swoops in like a romantic novel love interest to save him#in other words not even the content made by people who like the characters/ship#is something i'm interested in at all#nor is it really in character for that matter#it just seems to me like the reason people like TFA is because the material is scattered enough that they can just#cobble together whatever headcanons they want and create the story that they want in their head#and the cartoon itself doesn't contradict them because the cartoon is just a simplistic good guys vs bad guys#with some hints at something deeper that never get explored#i know some people like the 'sandbox of headcanons' or whatever but like#if a piece of media doesn't have substance on its own#and isnt well crafted or coherent on my own#then why would i care about it enough to be interested#the cartoon can't even tell a story standing on its own so why should i have to do all the work of making the story work#there's a difference between leaving things to the imagination vs straight up leaving things out of the story#the difference between making inferences and theories that enrich the already existing story#versus the story itself being fragmented incomplete and tbh a little boring and you having to rewrite it in your mind to make it interesting#anyways that's my spiel for the day

okok this is not going to be my most coherent post and i KNOW how armchair diagnosing fictional characters sounds like but, ive been working on this leona fic recently and it just makes me kind of think harder about his character??? if youve been following me for a while you know i have beef with how they portrayed him in ch 2 and everything and how easily it seems the conflict is solved even though IT WASNT SOLVED AT ALL!
i dont like leona as a Person either like if i knew him irl i would try to beat his ass, genuinely, but i also watched lion king five billion times as a child and i thought scar was the shit, and im the kind of fandom person who always fixates on the idea of rewriting things, so i have been. Thinking. doesnt it kind of feel like leona has like?? clinical depression? i dont think it justifies any of his actions, not in the slightest, but i feel like i can get a much better understanding of his emotions under this sort of theory if it makes sense
he did have that “upswing” in chapter 2 when he tried to come up with that plan to cheat in the tournament, but he gave up on it so quickly, and the way he does clearly feel he needs to cheat to win showcases a very clear lack of self esteem in him. yes he has a superiority complex, but it comes with an inferiority one too, and hes constantly plagued with this thought of how pointless everything is and how “life is unfair”. like in his head the feeling of superiority from his own talent, skill and potential, WHICH REALLY IS A LOT, is just constantly fighting this everpresent lethargy from how nothing he does seems to get him any closer to his goals. that hamster wheel sort of feeling that looks very characteristic of a specific kind of depression case to me
again. doesnt justify his behavior at all. he shouldve gotten so many more consequences from doing the magical equivalent of mass doping and Trying To Kill Ruggie but also thinking about the sort of Situation his head is in plus that tendency towards the grandiose and lack of consequence sight that comes from his privilege in his society. yeah his actions make sense.
and in a way it makes me sort of? sad for him? because hes extremely talented and intelligent, hes clearly powerful enough to counter riddles unique magic, and riddle is said to be the top student in nrc. he has so much potential but hes so beaten down from the things his life branded into his brain that he doesnt really see it.
logically i think he knows that theres more to life than becoming king. again hes very intelligent, but with it having been his dream, him having believed he had the potential required for it (and maybe even actually being better than farena? we dont know enough about farena to be able to tell that though) and then having that torn away from him from whats implied to be a young age, plus the treatment from everyone in the afterglow savannah court. like that clearly did drill some emotional instability in his head. no stable guy whos aware of his potential would have the sort of mindset he does. its illogical he focuses on how he couldnt become king like this, unable to move on from that and the hit his self esteem took from it.
if he had been mentally healthy, being someone whos clearly a very clever and determined type, he would have found another way to make use of his own skills. who knows why exactly he wanted to become king, maybe he did believe in making things better for his country, maybe farena isnt as good as he seems, if it has been a longtime dream of his i have a hard time believing he just wanted it for the sake of wanting it, kids dont really crave power for the sake of itself after all and do tend towards being more empathetic and hopeful than older people, from a psychological standpoint. and he wouldnt have been groomed to want that position, since its clearly established that as the second son, he would only become king if farena died
with his emotional state too, i cant help but wonder the details of how his parents treated him. we definitely wont know that in canon but imo these major depression traits line up with a case of neglect. maybe he doesnt even recognize it as such, he strikes me as the kind of guy who would look back at his childhood attempts at seeking affection as weakness, so maybe he thinks his parents would be justified in not really fulfilling his needs especially as that abyss in his self esteem started forming from his dream being slowly torn down.
HOWEVER, AND THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT OF THIS IMPROMPTU ESSAY: he is still a cunt and i still hate him. thanks for reading like and subscribe

ok im gonna try and write a coherent post on my thoughts on the finale. keep in mind that im not saying that brennan or the players intended it to be read this way, this is just how i interpreted it. starting off: i dont think anyone remembers the events of the show. it seems at moments that maybe the pcs remember while everyone else forgot, but that seems deeply antithetical to the whole point of what they did and i think they would realize that and not just play along. i think maybe everyone, including npcs and pcs, has some deju vu at moments over things that would remind them of their previous lives, but do not fully remember the events. ok now veering of into the deep end a bit. i think the pcs lost. i cant wrap my mind around this utopia theyve created being anything other than a happily ever after. i think its a different story, a happier one that lends more autonomy to its characters, but a story nonetheless. i dont see how this could be a world where everyone has free will and that translates to everyone being kind and loving and much softer overall. the pcs get everything they wanted. they get back everything they gave up, pinocchio becomes real, rosamund gets control, and gerard gets a version of tom thumb who wakes up at 8am. thats one thing that really stuck out to me and i know i sound insane right now but why would, in a world where he supposedly writes his own story, would tom thumb wake up at 8am to work out with gerard at 9? except for the obvious reason: this is story is written to please gerard. in the battle, the fairy with the turquoise hair picks pinocchio and his joy over the other fairies. my theory generally goes that she didnt actually stop believing in the fairies goal, but twisted it to benefit pinocchio and his friends. give them a perfect world they wont fight against (theyre idealistic enough to get duped by this i think. sorry). she gets to be his maternal figure in this new world. everyone who matters gets everything they want. they cant even remember the world before and theyre happy enough to not go searching for it. anyway i know this isnt "canon" but its the only way i can really read the ending.

I was rereading tmrlg as I do because it’s the love of my life and I has new stuff to ramble about
So Ponk is a nymph, and he can ‘body-share’ which I’m assuming is very taboo because it means you can control someone (and I’m assuming the fear of it has blown it all out of proportion) which I’m assuming is even more taboo b/c crimson mind control. So she don’t want peeps to know
Im so excited to see punz/boomer reaction to Ponk healing Gumi. Also if they put anything together about velvet
Also extending on my previous theory re: ponk loosing foot b/c healing velvet
- @cool-new-side-blog
So Ponk can’t really bring people back. I’m assuming velvet either got really close to death or had just died. Ponk didn’t have her tree. So sacrifice foot to get the power to heal velvet?
oooorgh you need to stop asking really good questions i have no filter and the overwhelming urge not to spoil anything and it makes it SO HARD to answer thigns
honestly i hadnt even thought about pok being abel to control people through bodysharing. if they can, theyre definitely not aware of it, and itd be something very minor partially bc i dont wanna make them too op and partially because itd SUCK on ponks end. bodysharing with someone feels weird on both ends - like, if gumi had known ponk was bodysharing wiht her (or had been coherent enough to like... feel it) she would've felt that something was off. like it makes ponks spirit feel to-the-left but it makes whoever he's bodysharing with feel three-steps-back. both participants aren't quite in their bodies, so trying to control someone would be like trying to pull a remy ratatouille while in a sensory deprivation tank.
beyond like. REAL concerns i think ponk keeps the bodysharing a secret just because its awkward and hard to explain. like if you were talking to someone and you were like "hey yeah man just gotta... inhabit your body for a bit dw its all good its good for your health" no matter what they'd be like "hey what the fuck???" and real concerns-wise i think that like. if you can invade someones body pretty much without resistance from them youre gonna inspire a witchhunt. like yeah sure ponk cant do anythign HARMFUL with it but thats some dudes body hes in. what if she was like "ooooo you wanna give me your credit card information sooooo bad ooooo" and subliminally effected their thoughts. does she deserve to steal someone's credit card? fuck yeah but thats generally frowned upon and also not-very-neutral of her lmao
also ngl im not entirely sure how ponks tree works with the healing kekw i am. literally making this shit up as i go. it definitely nullifies some of the harming effects of healing, though - its like.... mmmm this isnt a perfect metaphor but like if you gotta sustain a certain amount of burns (we're in saw, i guess???? not like... killer burns. like 20 first degree burns.) and you can choose between burning only half your body or all of it, its gonna be way more damaging to put it on half because now HALF your body is out of commission. if you spread it out over the rest of your body, its still gonna fuckin suck, but it's not condensed yknow? so when ponk heals without his tree, its like putting all those burns on half his body, but when he heals with it, its all over, and he has the added bonus of like.... default dissociation with half of the burns since he isn't actively in his tree all the time. his tree takes on some of the damage.
okay fuck it i AM spoilering bc now brain go brrrr so ignore the rest if you dont want minor spoilers
okay so ponk healed gumi's back. she
set and healed bones - broken and chipped
healed muscle
restored skin
treated burns
pushed out remaining shrapnel (which she isnt aware of)
(gumi's injury was nasty and it fucking sucked, but she was stable. if ponk had the equipment and the confidence, they could've fixed her up without healing her, but it would've left her incapacitated for so long that even if ponk thought they were capable of healing her manually, she would've been sorted into the "heal with ability" category. like.... it was BAD, but due to gumi's own regenerative abilities, it wasn't life threatening with proper treatment.)
in the next chapter ponk wakes up with a MASSIVE headache and she feels scorched out. like, it fucking sucks, and she's going to be fatigued and have some fairly bad headaches for a week or so, but it'll be manageable.
if he hadn't had his tree, he would've been completely incapacitated for over a week. (cannot elaborate for plot >:(((.) his healing is essentially just ...giving, so it takes a while for him to get himself back.
and thats an injury that technically wasnt life threatening :D velvet got it bad :D

HEY LOKI FANS
i thought u would appreciate my semi-coherent ramblings about the leaked loki s2 trailer that i sent my best friend yesterday while sleep deprived and swamped with schoolwork
part 1
here are some of my thoughts on this trailer bc i have composed myself enough to send them
1. LOKI IS SO.
2. seeing casey gave me SO MUCH SEROTONIN
3. i saw the red car and my FIRST thought was lightning mcqueen
4. the pruning of that wall in the tva is giving hela destroying the palace ceiling
5. the scene with loki and mobius sitting at the table i am so ill
6. is sylvie the one pulling loki through time? my initial thought was that lokis been out of his timeline for too long but that wouldnt make sense bc sylvies been out of her timeline for AGES so there has to be someone behind it so either its sylvie whos unseated kang or its a kang variant (which seems really likely bc of avengers 5)
7. i REALLY want to know if this version of mobius has regained his memories or if hes starting fresh with loki
8. not enough hair flips :(
9. where has ravonna gone? i want to know if she is still working for kang or if shes been wiped too
10. i would like to see more of sylvies backstory in this season, rn shes just an op “superior” loki and i think her character needs to undergo MASSIVE renovation to redeem her bc she had so much potential
11. this isnt gonna happen but i want an aoa lady loki variant so fucking bad dude
12. lokis powers and character needs to be more fleshed out this season.
part 2
a few more thoughts
1. its interesting the way that lokis depicted as being pulled through time. like theres no time door involved and when tempads are used to pull someone through time u can see the person moving its just sped up or slowed down. so why does it look like lokis almost like glitching? it makes me believe that this is either a kang variant or some other force outside of the tva
2. the way that loki disappeared was so weird like it looked like disappararing in harry potter
3. the desert?? weve seen two notable desertlike scenes so far: the gobi desert and pompeii. this definitely isnt either, bc the tesseract is what pulled loki to the gobi desert and pompeii was to test that one theory. im wondering why he would go there tho, like is he looking for sylvie or is he looking for kang?
4. in the scene where lokis glitching ljke crazy u can see that he has on the straps for lævateinn’s sheath thing, so therefore i can deduce that this is very shortly after the loki s1 finale
5. its therefore likely that mobius has no clue who loki is in this scene, but if this is when its set, wouldnt the hallway be full of minutemen? the timeline is falling apart the tva should be in chaos BUT its not which means that this is likely not a main hallway of the tva. so is loki looking for something specific or is he just aimlessly running. he probably has a relatively decent knowledge of the tva’s layout since he was able to find mobius in the last scene of s1 and hes been working there, so either this new kang variant thats taken over has drastically changed the tva’s structure, this hallway bears some significance, or im overthinking this
6. the bluish room loki enters immediately after is VASTLY different from the tvas typical appearance. is this some new part of the tva we havent seen or is it something else entirely?
7. i think its really interesting that loki pruned a whole wall. like i find it statistically improbable that during previous fights in the tva no one has ever hit a wall or the floor or something with their weapon. so THEREFORE theres something significant about this specific wall. why can it be pruned but not the rest of the tva? is it bc the wall was established by a new version of kang and therefore is considered “foreign” to the old sacred timeline? hmm
8. there are still three faces. its hard to see all three unfortunately but there are still clearly three. is this new version of the tva being run by a triumvirate of kangs? also the new avengers movie is called the kang dynasty so this implies multiple kangs.
9. oh i REALLY want to know what the room with the windows/arched ceiling is. its def the tva bc the person nearest to the camera is very clearly wearing the minutemen uniform
10. this new dude sitting behind that desk is handing loki and mobius a sticky note. he seems eccentric, im very excited to see more of him
11. sylvie is no longer running between apocalypses. why? shes clearly not trying to get the tvas attention or lokis but hes def actively looking for her.
12. casey :( if they kill him i will LOSE IT.
13. theres two figures climbing over a roof, prob loki and mobius (side note im so glad that it looks like were getting more lokius interaction bc in s1 it put their dynamic on the back burner too much)
14. im so excited for this scene of them undercover at a party/event FUCK DUDE
15. WHO ALMOST HIT LOKI WITH A CAR LMFAO
16. LOKI USING HIS ILLUSION MAGIC 😩😩😩
17. IS THAT A NEW FUCKING LOKI VARIANT OH MY GOD
18. NEW JUDGE NEW JUDGE NEW JUDGE
19. im so glad were getting little moments between loki and mobius ugh

Chain of Iron:Death theory
As the awaited release date for Chain of Iron approaches and the fandom decends into pure madness, I want to put in my last two cents of overthinking before I stop having coherent thoughts
So we all know this is a second book, and second books bring the absolute pain in the shadowhunter chronicles. There is likely going to be a death from the mains considering the theme of this book, and I am here to throw my theory and reasons as to who I think it might be. Im here to sadly theorize about why I think Christopher Lightwood might not make it past the last hours
1. Tatianas revenge
Right now, Tatiana wants revenge after all our main families: the carstairs, herondales, fairchilds and both branches of the lightwoods. For the lightwood-collins theres barbaras death. For the herondales her daughter has been manipulating their son for over 6 years. Theres a theory that the fairy poison Mathew bought that caused Charlottes misscarriage could be traced back to her. And there are other theories that Elias dissaperance between chog and choi could have something to do with Belial. As of right now the only family who is yet to recieve any permanent damage or tragedy are the lightwood-herondales. Which is really ironic considering its the only family that has two bloodlines Tatiana wants to harm. Not only that, but theyre also the children of who Tatiana blames directly for her fathers death, Gabriel. It seems fishy to me there hasn't been any permanent damage in their family, and I dont think that is gonna last for long
2. The family tree
The family tree states that Grace Cartwright (Aka Grace Blackthorn) marries Christopher Lightwood and theyre the ones who continue the line that leads to Alec and Isabelle. Now Cassandra has said varius times the family tree can be misleading, and I am a firm believer this is one of the misleading ends. Why this lie was created, I'm not sure, but lets analize some things. As of right now there are 5 lightwood children. At least 3 of them can pass down the lightwood name. Of those three, if we take into account that Thomas may not have kids due to being gay, that still leaves two branches of lightwood kids that may continue on. As of present time we only have word of one line, Alec and Isabelles. And Robert isnt said to have any cousins, theres no mention in the future of another lightwood line. So the idea that both Alexander and Christopher have kids is pretty unbelivable considering theres only one lightwood line in the future. Unless Alexander goes on to have only girls and Christopher has only one boy, it seems more likely the family tree is wrong. Isabelle and Alec are confirmed as of the bane chronicles to be decendants of Gabriel lightwood (Isabelle makes a reference to looking up her great great grandfather Gabriel Lightwood and telling magnus he was hot in the last story of the book)
So its already confirmed they're a) the last decendants of the lightwood line and b) that line stems from Gabriel. If we based ourselves solely on the family tree and Christopher being the one carrying the line, that would have been believable enough not to raise any red flags. Christopher IS the son of Grabriel Lightwood, able bodied and seems to have a general attraction to women (I mean, we all know hes aro/ace but lets stick with canon). There isnt anything pointing to him not being able to marry and have kids. Where the red flags raise for me is with Alexander
Alexander wasnt in the original plans for the family tree, he was added when Cassie started writting the last hours. If you take into account his role in chog, there really was no reason to add Alexander Lightwood. He doesnt seem to do anything, hes a 3 year old kid, you can very well delete him from the narrative and nothing would change. So why did Cassandra add him?? Why did she decide to make Cecily and Gabriel have another kid ?
To me, it seems a lot like the baby carstairs situation . The family tree says Alastair carries the carstairs line, Alastair is a gay man so he cant have biological kids, theres another unplaned baby to carry the line. It seems to me Christopher carrying the lightwood line is a lie, and Alexanders role is to carry it in his place. I even found a little info from an ask wayy before chain of gold came out where it said Alexander had green eyes, but in the book she changed it to blue eyes. The exact same shade the modern day lightwoods seem to have. A trait hes more likely to pass down than his lavender eyed brother who supposedly "marries" grey eyed grace
3. Character Arc
Characters in literature need goals, things to work for or work towards through the story in order for them to develop. We call those things character arcs, and it seems we have all ignored how christophers may have indirectly ended. If you read his short story, or just overall analize his character, his main goal is simple. He wants to create something that will help the nephlim through science. His personal character arc is that he wants to prove himself and his skill to the clave using his passion to be a hero.
An arc that could have been expanded all through the series, and ended with him using his skills in the end to defeat belial in some way, proving his passions worth. Through the story we could have had a glimpse at his struggles, how he was put down, the failed attempts, fustrations etc. This all could have rounded christopher as a character, and brought more satisfaction to the end goal of his arc which is proving the value of his science. But instead, his arc in book seemingly already ended? Because he did it, he figured out a way to combine science with his duty and saved the entire enclave from the demon poison. He is now acclaimed a hero for his skills. All the other characters have things to finish going into chain of iron, Christopher doesnt. Why would she end an arc that could have taken through the entire series in just one book? Christopher is the only secondary character with a defined personality and a lack of arc to look foward too in following books. This could all point that his arc was rushed because it was being cut short
4. Lightwood blood
There has been a lot of theories going around about Thomas being the one who gets killed in this book, which is resonable considering the unerving amount of forehsadowing we've had to him getting himself caught up in something. But I raise you this, why would CC be giving us so much assurance that Thomas was going to get hurt if she was going to kill him? Not only would she be reaveling one of her most devastating murders, she would basically be spoiling a very big part of her own book. Thomas death would affect everyone, if she WERE to kill him she wouldnt be indulging us in our Thomas death theory as much as she has. Itd be too expectable, I actually believe that by giving us all the info she has she has more or less confirmed he wont die.
I believe this is all a decoy. Shes giving us foreshadowing towards something bad happening to Thomas, to cover up the very big reality shes planning to kill someone else. Theres a very big chance that for the resurection, theyre gonna need Jesses families blood. Same way Malcom needed blackthorn blood to raise Annabel. As of rightnow there arent any blackthorns (by blood) left alive, the only blood relatives Jesse still had are the lightwoods. So we already know Thomas gets captured by the murderer (referenece to the art), but it is most likely he gets rescued. People speculate he most likely got captured for the resurection Tatianas trying to do, because of his lightwood blood. But if Thomas escapes, Tatiana still needs her families blood. And I'd like to point out this is also where the fact she hasnt taken permanent revenge on the lightwood-herondales would come in. Theres a good chance that if the murders are releated to her, and she cant have Thomas, she wont stop at just Thomas.
5. Story relevance
In all sense of story, Christopher is the perfect candidate to kill. As hard as that is to say: he's a secondary character, who has a well defined personality, loved enough by the fans that there would certainly be a shock factor following his death, important enough to the story that there would be a big impact to the narrative, and interwined enough with the main characters to cause emotional distress in the story. His arc is indirectly done, this author has a history of killing lightwoods, there isnt much to discourage the possibility he might be killed besides the faulty family tree. And as I said, that tree has been stated multiple times to be misleading
Bonus prove
6. Christophers cut-out
Same way were analizing the hell out of a broken spear, why are we not talking about the skull on christophers?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Sorry couldnt get better quality pics)
The truth is, I hate this theory as much as everyone, Im genuinly hoping chain of iron proves me wrong. But there are 5 deaths comming, and not all of them can be side characters. Cordelia Lucie and James all have main character protection. I already explained why Thomas dying is unlikely. Anna, Ariadne and Alastair have gay protection (and I think some asks about Alastair dying were pretty much answered with a discreet no)
If there are mains dying, Christophers the most likely to go

https://itsnotanaccessory.tumblr.com/post/651692701648142336/remember-kids-your-system-isnt-complete
I was sent the following message:
“Hey! I hope you’re doing alright today! I know your blog is about endos, but in my experience as a polyfragmented system this post is kinda hurtful. It really feels like you’re poking fun at fictives and systems with lots of fictives. I know it happens to be a big thing for endos, but speaking as a polyfragmented system, having lots of fictives even from the same source is common for us. Your post also contains misinformation. Alters, even fictives, can form any time there is a traumatic event when you have DID, not just as a child or during the initial trauma.”
I will do my best to be as clear in this as I possibly can. So I’ll have to go over this again.
“Hey! I hope you’re doing alright today!
I’m fine.
I know your blog is about endos,
OP here refers to ‘endogenic systems’, or a plural system that exists without trauma. The blog ‘endogenichaven’ states ‘various theories’ for them occurring – mainly spiritual, psychological or neurological.
Dissociative Identity Disorder is a complex, posttraumatic, developmental disorder. It is frankly offensive to claim plurality as a natural state of the human mind. It is pathogenic and abnormal because it is literally that – not the norm.
‘Endogenic systems’ completely undermine the suffering which led to an individual becoming so traumatised, their identity fragmented to protect themselves.
Uncritically believing endogenic rhetoric is harmful for trauma survivors. If you are not traumatised, you are faking having a serious, disruptive, mental illness.
Regardless of my feelings towards endogenic ‘systems’, I never stated my blog was to poke fun at them specifically. They are certainly included in my mockery because they were never real to begin with. But that is not the be all and end all.
but in my experience as a polyfragmented system
Professionals refer to someone with over 100 alters/parts as ‘polyfragmented multiples’. Other professionals use it for dozens. Polyfragmented DID was previously known as ‘Complex Multiple Personality Disorder’ and has never been a separate diagnosis.
(Kluft, R. P. & Fine, C. G. (1993). Clinical Perspectives on Multiple Personality Disorder. American Psychiatric Pub, ISBN 0880483652)
If, truly, you have a dissociative disorder, I reiterate my pinned post: I am sorry. You should not have been hurt. You should not have been traumatised. You should not have been put in a position where your mind had to do this, where it was the only way out.
If you’re roleplaying: Get fucked.
this post is kinda hurtful. It really feels like you’re poking fun at fictives and systems with lots of fictives.
That’s correct. I am.
Yes, alters may be created which are internalised representations, or introjects, of fictional characters.
‘Fictives’ is not a term used in any (respectable) DID research or literature.
Mostly these form from childhood influences – nursery rhymes, fairy tales, children’s books. Most examples of these are found in case of serious prolonged abuse, ritual abuse, MK-Ultra. And most of these are formed during childhood. They are rare.
(Sullivan, K. (2006). Unshackled: A Survivor's Story of Mind Control. Dandelion Books, LLC.)
(O'Brien, C., & Phillips, M. (2005). Trance Formation of America: The True Life Story of a CIA Mind Control Slave. Reality Marketing Inc. ISBN 0966016548.)
I know it happens to be a big thing for endos, but speaking as a polyfragmented system, having lots of fictives even from the same source is common for us.
If you’re claiming that you have multiple introjects all from the same, recent, source, you should know how suspicious that comes off as.
Your post also contains misinformation. Alters, even fictives, can form any time there is a traumatic event when you have DID, not just as a child or during the initial trauma.”
Traumatic events like this?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sure thing, Jan.
If I’m even going to believe any of this. If I’m going to believe that someone was traumatised in early childhood enough for their brain to react by forming alternate personality states.
If I’m going to believe that now they’re older, and have been repeatedly traumatised, and it’s formed a new alter/part.
If I’m going to believe that that new alter/part is coincidentally a fictional introject of the media you’re into now.
If I’m going to believe that that fictional introject of your Currently Watching anime is fully conscious, self-aware, capable of fronting and external communication/internal coherent communication.
If I’m ever to believe any of all that: It should still not be at the prevalence that I see on these hell sites and in these hell communities.
Dissociation is not the formation of entirely unique and different personality types. It is a disconnection between mental states of a single person.
Dissociation is not knowing how everyone looks, knowing everyone’s personalities, names, having well-developed headspaces. It isn’t knowing that everyone is all from a different source, exactly what memories they have, their specific pronouns.
Systems are not “multiple people in one body”, they are pieces of a whole person.
Alters are not the defining characteristic of DID. They come with amnesia, trauma, confusion, and dissociation.
Most of having DID is being unaware of having DID. It is a covert disorder of stealth and self-deception. It is denial and pain and dysfunction.

I am not trying to be rude but I actually know more than you do, as someone who works in the industry. Being on tumblr had given you the impression that everyone is a progressive slash shipping fangirl. The CW cares about fangirls just enough for fan service but when it comes to Nielson ratings they care about 18 - 40 year old white men and the old cishet white men who run the network itself. It is a business and they hold the cards. Am I saying that there is a secret deleted scene with a kiss? No. There is no secret episode or deleted makeout scene. (Although yes there was obviously an original script for 19 and 20 that they massively changed because of covid. I think they should have waited because those episodes were really bad but I digress.) What I am saying is several cast members and several episode writers put in subtext on purpose. It is called queer coding. And somewhere along the way, there must have been an audio somewhere of Dean saying I love you too OR a simple me too. Given that the episode was finished filming months and months ago, it was probably sent out then. Jensen was called in for ADR in the fall for 18 specifically. Changes were made. He even admitted they edited his reaction and dialogue. Those are his words. This isnt a conspiracy, it is a fact. The dub itself exists. It would not exist unless there was audio somewhere. In America they could say "oh it was meant as friendship or like brothers" and they could say "oh it is open for interpretation" to anyone who doesn't approve. In Spanish there are different ways of saying "I love you" and "me too" that mean separate things. Somewhere along the way something changed. That is a fact. It would not exist in the spanish dub otherwise. And yes, changes are often made that we, in other countries, dont get for whatever reason. If you want my opinion Dean likely said "me too" or to that affect after Cas left, while he was crying on the floor. They then ADR him crying over it instead. This would explain the weird bird chirping sound in Portugese dubs. In America, it is very homophobic right now. In Mexico, destiel was more openly embraced and even advertised. It is very likely that since Castiel canonically romantically loved Dean in a "gay" way, which the network promoted, which is why they used te amo (romantic), even a simple "me too" from Dean even if it was presented ambiguously would be assumed to be romantic there, where in America it could be platonic. After months of the finished episode sitting in the CW desk, after they realized they were going to have to rewrite 19 and 20, and that Cas would NOT be in the episode because of covid, they made the decision to edit out the "me too" part for coherency going into the last two episodes.
I mean I’m a whole ass adult who doesn’t form their worldview based on Tumblr but sure, tell me what I know. The major networks gear their shows toward 18-40 year old men and that’s why you never saw a gay character on Big Bang Theory or whatever but the CW is literally a teen network, that’s not their demo, that’s not who they’re going for and that’s not who they anticipate is gonna watch Walker.
I’ll concede you know more about the dubbing process if that’s what you do for a living, sure, but I still think you’re wrong, I don’t believe the CW was ever going to make Destiel canon in any market. I think that’s wishful thinking. They had 12 years or whatever it is to do that and didn’t, it would have been fan service to throw it into the last 3 episodes any way they did it.
The conspiracy isn’t even consistent, there’s one arm insisting Misha was in Vancouver at the time 15x19 and 15x20 were shot, he confirmed it but said he was “going camping” or whatever but now they had to cut him out because he wasn’t there for filming? I’m not buying it I’m sorry.
You will not convince me there was some grand conspiracy to cover up canon Destiel that just happened to miss the Spanish dub, do you not hear how ludicrous that sounds...

thank you @montocalypse for giving me something to occupy my mind with for the next few minutes! you know me, my favourite topic is my fics.
Author name: behzaintfunny (that feeling when you haven’t been in the sidemen fandom for 4+ years but the naming system on ao3 just isnt friendly for editing)
Fandoms you write for: football rpf is definitely the most popular one, but i have to say i’ve enjoyed writing for outlander the most by far. their characters are just the best.
Most popular one-shot: the love i felt is actually my most popular story all around! very cheesy and corny but at the time it felt right, and i’m glad that this honest and hurt picture of john grey drew so many people in.
Most popular multi-chapter: how a moment lasts forever... look, i don’t have an explanation. i hated the way chapter 3 turned out and it just deterred me from ever finishing it, though i really wish i had, because this story is very close to my heart. the love i got on this story is outstanding for my standards too, which is why i’m extra sorry. i am not denying that i might someday finish it, but it is not this day.
Favorite story you wrote: honestly??? white roses of scotland. i worked really hard on it and i think this is the best narration i have ever achieved, with little quirks and themes and interesting plays on words. it was the first story i ever did where i just imagined myself in jamie fraser’s mind and properly found myself lost in the sadness of it, outweighed by the terrible, huge amounts of hope he has for the future. (look at me not picking the blatant obvious, milla are you proud of me?)
my favourite story i wrote this year other than loneliness is love, alone because it’s this vague, sad thing which really just has the strongest lost at sea energy but make it outlander, you know? i like complex characters with difficult, sad stories. it was the most fun thing to write as well in terms of language.
How do you pick your titles: i listen to in this moment and latch myself onto a lyric. no, but seriously, it’s usually either a song lyric or a play on one. usually.
Do you outline: i try to??? but usually once i outline i never end up writing anything substantial because that’s where my creativity ends. it’s usually just me writing down ideas without any coherence or plan.
How many of your stories are complete: 28/33 ones i posted, which i think is fair enough. though obviously readers of the ones i never finished may not be so inclined to think that way.
Upcoming story you are the most excited for: the only genuine wip i have but am not really working on but have outlined and am sometimes thinking of??? is a story for the narcos tv show which really was meant to be this Great Big Thing with a nonlinear narrative but now is just...on hold. but it is a really exciting project in theory.
In-progress: not actively writing any fics right now, but i am in the plotting/outlining/early writing stage for a piece of original fiction. i know.
Coming soon: yeah uh... the only thing coming soon is pictures being added to the lost at sea pinterest board, and me crying about silva. which, by the way, please read this rant and also my fic loneliness.
Do you accept prompts: no. i wish i was one of you guys, but i just can’t. my mind operates and comprehends only what i come up with myself.
Tag five fanfic authors to answer the questions: @diegoalvesisgod i think you’re the only one that maybe wasn’t tagged yet??? either way, i encourage everyone to do this. it really was great fun.

i am actually going to be pretentious and braggy for a minute because i do in fact know that im smart and theres a story about that:
the funniest thing about when people think im stupid or fake deep is like. the story of my level of documented brain function is hilarious. like i used to be SHOCKINGLY quick and advanced and was even being set up to be some sort of academic writing prodigy and then i got a shit ton of head injuries that when untreated for years and i spiraled horribly. pre injury i could analyze like you wouldnt believe. i had teachers who actively tried to get involved in my time just to control which direction i would put my academic energy. but the injuries hit hard. i was still smart enough that i was able to document clear drops in mental functioning. like i literally presented doctors with coherent evidence of reduced brain function. despite proposing theories of head injuries and tumors to multiple doctors, i was brushed off.
aaaand i almost died for other reasons and it became clear that something was REALLY WRONG and they started testing me in all sorts of categories. Including IQ tests (and before you buy into that idea that IQ tests dont mean anything, thats not true. they dont mean a lot in academia, but they’re used for tracking and documenting mental functioning for diagnostic purposes. ive had to take 3 just to get my disability documented for government stuff, so they do in fact have a function and meaning). and i was off the charts even post injury, with documented drops related to the injury. often they didnt want to tell me the number because they didnt feel the test accurately reflected my analytical intelligence because i would elaborate on answers beyond what the testing was asking for. the number isnt really the point im making tho. ive seen tens of doctors and people who’s job is literally to assess ppl’s intelligence. i have DATA whether or not i want it. im regularly told by psychs that im too smart for my own good and its interfering with my ability to communicate and even recover from my own shit because im able to analyze it too many layers down before processing the emotional information.
anyway what im getting at is scientifically speaking im not stupid, i know im not stupid. so when people act like im spouting bullshit its really funny bc anyone who knows me irl knows im a charismatic, brilliant bitch, and thats post IQ drop. if you want to insult me and actually get to me, unfortunately targeting my well documented intellect will not get you very far, dipshit

See i had the theory that the upside down only took shape as hawkins (and however much distance away from hawkins it covers??) Bc the initial Tear was in Hawkins, when El made contact. So it started with the lab and then as it expanded it could affect places further away, possibly related to places El, the monsters that make it through, and the people it takes and eats know. It needs a rough mirror to be able to open tears/gates without having someone on the other side, and it needs to consume living things to make that mirror (will, barb and the others it caught in s1, the pumpkins and the forest on s2, the rats and people in s3) Also it'd make sense that this isnt happening just in Hawkins given The Russians but I hate that whole subplot so I'm ignoring that. I once again dont know how much season 4 axes this theory and Im going to have to watch it for the Lore at some point i love worldbuilding
lol yes! this is all very fascinating from a lore standpoint. s4 does have some info that adds onto the whole "when the connection is formed" thing.
naturally this reply is nothing but spoilers lol I'm assuming that's nbd but just in case.
the first rift/contact with the upside down in general is in 1979 when El does whatever the fuck she does to Henry that ends up with him eventually ending up in the upside down.
then she makes psychic contact with the demogorgon in 1983.
the Henry rift is closed in 1983, it pm opened then closed right up.
it appears that something about the 1983 rift either halts the flow of time in the upside down or creates a mirror image of the Hawkins the day Will vanishes.
the thing here is atm i don't have much to contribute on this and i don't think the 1979 rift negates any more 1983 rift centric theories atm. the most coherent my ideas on the upside down have been so far are on here or the last ask lol hopefully as i rewatch, read meta and just let things stew i'll have something more to say. as it stands i look at things like the differences between the 1979 rift and the 1983 rift and write like an excited cartoon scientist on my clipboard but the notes are just gibberish. it's neat!!!!! super interesting!!!!!! brain not quite making complete leaps just yet but i've only seen the show thru once, never read any meta for it back in 2019 and never really sat down before to think about this aspect lol. i also feel like a lot of my thoughts about this will be inherently incomplete until at minimum the end of s4 since we have 2 more episodes to go.
so i dunno!!!!! we need to do our individual watches/rewatches, collect our notes and crack into the LORE BAYBEEEEE i love worldbuilding a lot and st worldbuilding is just different enough in vibes while also hitting a lot of tropes that i like that it's just OOF GOOD SHIT

I dont know if I can keep doing this. I spent decades mapping sound to my fingers, to my mind, and I’m still at the beginning of the ways it can fit together. I started working on a new level of left hand playing, but I dont know if I should bother because, bluntly, it’s not like anyone cares, and I now doubt whether this process was the correct path.
I feel like a dilettante. I dont know music theory to any great depth. I play the harmonies I hear and find but I dont associate them with dots on pages. I love to make pictures, but I chose not to develop my technical skills because either this was my path or because I was too much of a coward to pursue that or any of the other things I loved.
I’ve largely hated my life, especially my life as an adult. I’ve worked for thieves to learn how thieves work, and how they fit into sophisticated and unsophisticated systems. I never liked any of my jobs. I didnt like law school, though I enjoyed learning the processes of argument and conceptual, as opposed to symbolic, analysis.
My knowledge of math and physics is skin deep. I know what Lagrangians and Hamiltonians are but I cant calculate them. The blizzard of theorems in math is way beyond my understanding; it takes years of study to keep the names and meanings straight, let alone to recognize when they are approriate.
I focus on something else, and I cant even describe what that is. Making a picture? What am I doing? What does it mean that I map the sounds in their relations in my head and not through knowing which notes go together? What does it mean that any notes go together if they’re put together in a way that fits them together? It isnt like I’m trying to upend orchestration. I’m not. The production of orchestration is a craft and art, so why couldnt I learn in a typical way from books and from teachers. Why did I need to do that this way?
I remember lots of conversations about this. The point to me of music is to bring out myself, whether that’s emotional or intellectual or just pretty sound, as that taps into the larger process by which music exists apart from me. That’s really it: I have always known that music comes from somewhere else and I only tap into it. I’ve spent decades developing some skills for tapping into the flow.
And the math is the same thing. I dont give a fuck about the zeroes of the zeta series. To me, they’re part of a much larger picture, one that becomes clearer every day but which ... I am trying to read equations as model statements, and that’s becoming easier but it’s very frustrating. I now mentally think of sin as yK and cosine as xK, and I translate e as a basic model statement (of 1 + a disappearing bit allocated over that ‘space’). I dont have any interest in evaluating improper integrals or applying the gamma function, etc. I just want to understand why. It’s the same question I had when I was held down on a table and operated on: I just want to know what’s happening.
I waver between feeling that everything points at me and the feeling that I’m entirely deluded, but am somehow clever enough to make a coherent delusion, one that works but which doesnt attach to reality. I dealt with a question like that today: that the Christian idea Judaism is ‘chosen’ fits perfectly to the idea the new covenant succeeds to the old, and their covenant is exclusive so therefore they impose exclusivity on Jews though we dont believe that at all. That is an example of a group which attaches, which is symmetrical, which carries out, which even has determinable roots, but which is also untrue because it is literally not true at the end of the chain by which that group imposes a definition or result or ordering on Judaism. How can I be completely correct and yet be wrong? That’s one way: I’ve created a logically coherent system oriented around an interpretation of you which isnt you, which I impose on you, but which isnt you.
There is a difference, of course, and I’ve gone through that: the level of coincidence is too great. But it’s still coincidence, and I have to believe at this point that ... well, last night I dreamt I was in high school or the like and there was an assignment to write out and describe a scene - the details have faded - and of course I had no idea that was the assignment, and no idea what was going on. That’s a good description of my fear: what the fuck do I have to do? How do I know what I’m doing is the right thing?
Do you know how hard it is to think of myself as Jo, even though it’s my own damned name? It pulls up every bad feeling. The fear that soon I’ll have to kill myself without knowing whether or how I’ve failed, just that I’ve run out of time. The fear that I’ve never understood anything, that I’ve convinced myself of illusions. And on that I’m supposed to build an entire system which demonstrates how eternity exists, how it works, and thus why and how humans should be better? On not knowing? To quote Dean Martin, aint that a kick in the head?
Take my physical improvements. They’re impressive, but I’m nowhere near great. I cant do handstands or even decent arm balances; my left/right conflicts have made me extremely tentative about smashing my face into the ground. I can bend really well, but I’m not super flexible. Just another personal accomplishment. Yay me, I guess. I can dance but I cant dance like a professional.
People react to me but no one tells me I’m good looking. Every once in a while, someone will tell me I’m intelligent, but mostly they point out my obvious flaws, like my inability to remember that a gallon is 128 not 64 ounces. (Which I only grasped because that doubling of the whole is a complex rotation, which means 2 because that embodies the reflexive segment (from -1 to 1 and back).
I cant stop because I cant stop. I’m so tired of being in here unable to be myself except to myself. You should see how it works; I’m fuming, angry at myself, at the world, and then I say no my name is Joanna and suddenly I’m relaxed and happy.
I’m groping toward a sense of something I’ve been bouncing off each time I approach: how did the ancients think of infinity? It is contained in this not knowing and not knowability. And that I know is contained in the approach I’ve been detailing of the gs and alternation.
I wish you would hold me and tell me I can do this because this is as difficult as we knew it would be, assuming there’s a we and not just an I hearing voices in my head.

Yeah, I don't think Destiel is endgame sadly. The Sam/Eileen story made be believe a new is possible, but no, and they arent go have only one brother find love. I think the show isnt ever going to change, and thats its biggest problem. In the series finale Cas will be placed where Kevin, Charlie, Eileen were before him (the big finale death, for the biggest character after Sam and Dean) and Sam n Dean will drive off in the Impala like at the end of every ep; All quiet on the Western front.
THEY KILLED EILEEN. WHAT. THE. HELL. I saw your post, and I have to ask--does this seriously hurt your expectations of Dabb and where SPN is going
Ack! More asks that I totally missed. Sorry. I am gonna address these both in one post as they are similar themes and I guess I should start with a disclaimer here:
***these are my opinions only and do not reflect the views of other meta writers - seriously if you want positivity and hope please reach out to @tinkdw and @mittensmorgul who are doing a top notch job of controlling the fandom fire and who you should probably listen to more than me because I have become a grumpy old cow recently and am not doing the best job of controlling my cynicism and negativity.***
I should also mention that I have not, and will not, watch 12x21. I don’t need to feel more crappy and I couldn’t give a damn about Mary being brainwashed or Ketch becoming a stereotypical bond villain (or in fact, a stereotype of a parody of a Bond villain since his last act was closer to something Dr Evil from Austin Powers would do than an actual Bond Villain or so I’ve read) So I can’t comment on specifics from that episode.
“Yeah, I don't think Destiel is endgame sadly. The Sam/Eileen story made be believe a new is possible, but no, and they arent go have only one brother find love.”
Nonny I feel your pain, however I do still think Destiel is endgame. its funny, but I have thought about it a lot over the past few days and I cannot possibly see any way this show will end without destiel being part of it somehow. It does all depend on how you view ‘endgame’ though.
Because if you mean endgame as in ‘Dean and Cas kiss and confess their love and settle down with a house’ happy ending then no, I don’t think they will get ‘endgame’, but if you mean ‘destiel will be canon on the show’ then yeah I still think its true.
Sam and Eileen was the difference between Dean and Cas getting a moment of hand holding or a kiss before a big fight in which they die and its a tragedy, and Dean and Cas getting to live and settle down Jesse and Cesar style. Either way, Destiel goes Canon, but Eileen made the difference to how.
Other meta writers are gonna disagree with this. But if Eileen remains dead then I do not see a happy ending to this show. Because they will not bring in another love interest for Sam at this late stage. Therefore, as you rightly say, they won’t give Dean a romantic story that ends in a ‘and they lived happily ever after’ kind of way. Saileen mirrored Destiel and the way I see it, without a mirror romantic arc for Sam, I don’t see how we will get any sort of romance for Dean either (unless they actually do decide to just end on a repeat of Swan Song though I KNOW that will piss off a lot of people).
And yes I know that you can have endgames that don’t include romance, and that romance isn’t everything. I agree with that, but I am convinced that Sam and Dean’s endgames will be in balance with one another. Having Dean and Cas settle down together doesn’t make sense in this story if Sam is left alone. It is unbalanced and goes against a lot of what this show is about: two brothers and their lives hunting together.
(oh god I really don’t mean to sound like a bibro there but you know what I mean. balance is key. The fundamental core of this show is family and found family and it is so much more than just ‘two brothers’ but basically what I am trying to say is that you cannot round up one brothers story and leave the others open ended. It won’t work for the format this show uses.)
“I think the show isnt ever going to change, and thats its biggest problem.”
I think if Bucklemming keep writing for them, and Bob Singer keeps his grubby little hands on the story, then yeah its not likely to change. This show will always have majorly flawed episodes. The thing is, I still believe Dabb is trying to make this show better. He has already come quite far in doing that. The season 11 finale showed us that, and Dean’s character arc this season is superb.
The problem is more that Dabb seems to have a case of tunnel vision on Dean’s character arc. He is spending a lot of time chipping away at Dean’s mask and forgetting Sam, somewhat forgetting Cas, and pretty much completely forgetting to give us a coherent mytharc plot.
Whether the whole Dean focus is to prepare the GA for his eventual coming out of the closet I can’t truly say (though I believe this is the case). It really annoys me how much Sam has been left behind. The one person who Sam had bonded with, who was a character that we, as an audience, could use to gain better insight into Sam outside of his brothers POV was killed off by incompetent buffoons. Dabb would have had to sign off on this terrible decision. Does he just not care about Sam’s development?
The other major issue is representation. I thought season 12 was doing so well. Then they killed off three POC ladies and a disabled character in the second half of the season. Yet Lucifer gets an absurd plot when frankly, he should have been back in the cage or dead after episode 8. Why were the BMOL two freaking white guys? Why didn’t Lady Toni get Mick’s story line from the start? Why couldn’t either Mick or Ketch be black? or Asian? or Gay? or a Woman? or ALL of those things or ANYTHING other than a straight white guy?!? BRITAIN IS EXTREMELY MULTICULTURAL AND 51% OF US ARE WOMEN. USE IT!!!
So yeah, its never gonna change. My advice? Don’t watch Bucklemming episodes.
“In the series finale Cas will be placed where Kevin, Charlie, Eileen were before him (the big finale death, for the biggest character after Sam and Dean) and Sam n Dean will drive off in the Impala like at the end of every ep; All quiet on the Western front.”
Now this I don’t believe, because this would just be a major regression and would be the biggest mistake a finale could make since How I Met Your Mother. In the finale episode of the finale season, I reckon they are all gonna die. Then perhaps they will reunite in heaven with all their previous friends and family. I do NOT think that the series will end with Cas separated from the brothers. This is something I still have faith in. Cas IS a Winchester. He belongs with them. Whether they live or die in the end, he will be with them. Either they all die, or none of them will. Unless by that point Bucklemming are showrunners *shudder*can you imagine that?!? In that instance I would quit the show on principle.
I don’t think the show will end with the Winchesters alone in the world, living on whilst everyone they love is dead and the world is a burnt wasteland... you might as well put them back in hell... its not romantic or poetic no matter what your average bibro may think. I actually don’t think even Bucklemming would give us an ending like that.
“Does this seriously hurt your expectations of Dabb and where SPN is going?”
On to Nonny No2′s excellent question which well, I probably answered above. But to use this as a summary. Yes.
Eileen’s death hurt my expectations because it was the cherry on top of a lot of things this season that have slowly been chipping away at my positivity.
Look, I think some of you may have noticed that I haven’t really been as active as I once was on here. I have struggled to answer asks and when I do, my tone has changed from the optimistic, enthusiastic tone I used to have.
Honestly, SPN has been upsetting me for a while. The mytharc plot isn’t engaging me. Mary’s story doesn’t interest me because I don’t think they have done her emotional story justice. They instead chose to purposely make her unlikable to the point where a lot of fandom hopes she’ll be killed off. Do you have any idea how disappointing that is? I was so excited for Mary to be brought back, along with everything she symbolised for the show. I don’t think her character has been done justice.
I felt this way with Amara. I wanted to love her so much but they ruined her and turned her into a sexual predator. I wanted to love Lady Toni as a fully rounded character - a strong British woman having to fight for her voice in an ancient organisation run by old men. The made her into a one dimensional psychopathic rapist. Sometimes I think these writers just arn’t very good at writing female characters outside of ‘sexy twenty something waitress’ for Dean to screw around with to prove his heterosexuality.
The whole Lucifer storyline is driving me crazy. He is so boring and my god I miss season 5 Lucifer. Hell, even Casifer, but Pellegrino is just being absurd now and the joke got old quick. I don’t care about the Nephilim, even now that it has its hooks in Cas.
What happened to the Grand Coven? Couldn’t we have got a war between BMOL and Grand Coven? I want more witches. More spells. Witch!Sam and Human!Cas. That’s the story they should be telling. I haven’t liked how they’ve handled the British Men of Letters because they don’t seem like a real enough threat to me. Plus I don’t like all the dumb British jokes like seriously these writers have no idea what British people are like.
This season for me has been saved by 12x06,12x10,12x11, and 12x12. But I have been disappointed overall. Unlike many of my fellow meta writers, I am not all that enthusiastic about the finale. I want so very much to be excited about it and join in with the speculation and theories but I just can’t force it anymore.
The one thing I have faith in is that we will get canon destiel before series end. Even if its just a shot of them interlinking their fingers and smiling at each other before they go off to their deaths. I am convinced that Dabb will give us that. My problem isn’t about destiel anymore. Its whether the destiel subplot is enough to keep me engaged whilst the main plot goes down the drain. Its whether the destiel subplot is going to keep me going whilst I have to watch them continuously butcher every female character on the show.
I’m not sure I can do it anymore. My faith in Dabb is at a record low after 12x21 and I dunno what it will take to bring me back up.
Well, actually I do know. Eileen. Bring her back, right the wrong and put the story back on track. Then pull your shit together and get some more original characters into the show who arn’t all generic white guy clones. Bring back Charlie. Put Cas in more episodes. Kill Lucifer off for good and make Rowena a series regular. Put Cas in the same fucking episodes as Claire Novak FFS. Give Sam a goddamn story outside of his brother. Witch!Sam!! Or Man of Letters Sam. And finally, bring Dean out of that fucking closet once and for all.
Do all that and I will kiss the ground Dabb walks on. Untill then? well, I dunno if you’ll be hearing much from me in the future that’s all. I may just well and truly be done with this show.

Something kinda disturbing in Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice that I feel the need to talk about
Not something I usually talk about I know, but there’s a certain character in case 4 I think, the one about Rakugo stuff (spoilers btw if you havent played it and care about the ace attorney series lol) that just.
has so many disturbing implications and when playing it with my boyfriend I got Very Upset about it cuz the actual reveal was very sudden and all like all the stuff before suddenly made sense to me all at once and i was like oh god and now I feel the need to make a post about it to be like I’m not the only one who noticed this right???
but basically warning for talking about disturbing content like severe child abuse and multiple personality disorder and sexual abuse esp so if those things upset you just warning there in here
but yeah lets just dive right into it holy shit Uendo Toneido what the hell happened to you???
theres SO MANY THINGS that point to disturbing things that happened to you when you were a child, but I have no idea if Capcom really intended to make this connection or make this that dark since in the case they never really go into his backstory at all at any point, not even why he has Multiple Personalities in the first place, and its not relevant to the murdercase at all, so its just, never touched upon or outright said but like, all of it fits together into a coherent narrative if you care to actually put the evidence side by side so theres no way it wasnt 100% unintentional but jesus christ.
Uendo was traumatically raped as a child. someone got him drunk and violently raped him, maybe even repeatedly, and thats where his MPD/DID and all of his alters come from. thats the only conclusion I can come to after everything about him that we know.
for one, this is a character that has multiple personality disorder with 4 alters:
Uendo, the rakugo performer, Patches, the jester, Kisegawa, the female courtesan, all adults and can share memories and front at the same time kinda, and Owen, the child who has separate memories and can’t front unless all 3 of the others do not
the first 3 are ones that are revealed when Uendo first reveals that he has MPD/DID, and for most of the case hes being accused as a murderer, with the first 3 protecting/hiding the fourth from the court at first
and firstly MPD/DID is already something that cannot exist without some kind of severe trauma happening in very young childhood, with the most common cause being severe sexual abuse that a child cannot handle on any level forcing the mental split into an alter that can handle it, so already just from that i know something bad happened to Uendo.
and one of the alters is a female Courtesan. aka a prostitute. so theres another point to the trauma and abuse being of a sexual nature, and I ain’t even close to being done with evidence pointing to something like that happening to Uendo as a child.
nextly in the case, the defense originally thinks 4th personality must be the murderer, since its a point made that they know Owen exists from other evidence and Owen’s memories are cut off from the other 3 Memories (with the first 3 all able to front at the same time and memory share, but Owen being a totally seperate one from the others)
but when he’s forced to reveal his 4th personality, its because the court mandates that they prove the defenses theory about Owen being unable to front unless the other 3 are unconscious by forcing him to consume alcohol to get pass out drunk since hes apparently a ridiculous lightweight, like he claims licking some off his fingers would make him pass out that much of a lightweight
its actually a baked good without about half a shot of uncooked alcohol in it thats apparently enough to make him pass out drunk, but the thing is its physically impossible to get pass out drunk from that amount, especially from a baked good which likely lost its alcoholic content anyway, especially because alcohol works on a physical level with your blood and brain and stuff, not a mental one and Owen the child showed no signs of being drunk at all immediately after, which highly suggests to me that hes not a lightweight, its just the taste of alcohol severely triggers him back into his trauma-child state.
thirdly, then its actually revealed that Owen isnt the murderer, but the witness to the murder, and god, the way that Owen is portrayed as absolutely scared and traumatized by watching his sister figure forcibly suffocate his father figure is awful, especially because hes so upset he cant remember all the details properly and is crying and shaking about the whole ordeal
and then exactly which details he blocked out over the course of the in-court therapy session just prove my point even more
A) like first he remembers standing somewhere, and merely seeing his dad also standing up with blood dripping on his face
B) then after some therapy digging, he remembers they were both lying on the ground and the blood drops make more sense
C) then after that is when he remembers that his sister figure is actually on top of his father figure straddling him and shoving dough in his face to suffocate him while bleeding on him because she accidentally got cut with a knife the dad guy was wielding
like the amount of blocking out to get from point C to point A is tremendous, and the fact that all the things being blocked out were the existence of another person in the process of straddling and murdering another person by pushing something into them, like when you ask why he would mentally block out those details and not other ones its becomes clear if you add the fact that as a child something very violently similar was done to him
and the only reason it was the inner trauma child that witnessed that and not Uendo the main fronting alter is because Uendo accidentally consumed alcohol from those very same baked goods I mentioned earlier and passed out in the same room, murderer just didnt think that this would cause Owen to come out, she just thought he was actually pass out drunk
but like, godamn, all of it is so, directly pointing to that one conclusion.
the fact that he has MPD/DID at all in the first place
the fact that one of his alters is a female prostitute
His unusal triggery reaction to the taste of alcohol, not the alcoholic content itself because there really wasn’t physically enough to do that
the way he blocked out certain details of an unrelated traumatic event because they were so similar to his original traumatic event/s
and I say possibly eventS because MPD/DID is what can happen after severe trauma. and one of the alters was a prostitute, suggesting that his brains way of eventually coping as a child was to create an alter that could handle what he was going through, aka repeated sexual encounters, something a prostitute’s whole job description entails
like holy fuck that is a seriously dark backstory for a character we never see before or after this one case that’s mostly unrelated to the larger ongoing plot of the game in the other cases
like Ace Attorney is not a game this dark and I have trouble believing Capcom really intended this, but its fits too perfectly to be pure coincidence and they HAVE made M Rated Ace Attorney games before. its just, never gotten to this level of dark, they only ever deal with murders and the occasionally theft, we’ve never had any dealings at all with any kind of sexual assault and even in this game its not delved into or relevant at all to the case Uendo is in
but anyway yeah I got really upset when Uendo’s 4th Alter was suddenly revealed to be a traumatized child and not the True Murderer like the whole case before was implying and hyping up because that was just too real too fast yknow. I was totally expecting the whole hollywood “mentally ill people are dangerous” narrative not something actually accurate to MPD/DID

prideandprejudiceandkittens replied to your post “Something kinda disturbing in Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice that I...”
ok this is very insightful and likely, BUT kisegawa and the japanese idea of the "courtesan" (like geisha) IS NOT sexual. it isn't, really. japanese oiran (which is what kisegawa is clearly evoking) are sexual workers but their main role is to perform, they are trained under classical instruments, tea ceremony, calligraphy, etc. it's like a traditional display of femininity and much less centered around the whole "prostitute" part. just had to clear this up.
? I never said they were a Geisha or an Oiran, I said they were a courtesan/prostitute? I mean, they clearly are evoking the image of a prostitute with Kisegawa, but I never implied that that’s what a Geisha is. I never even said the word Geisha anywhere here
those performers like you said are elegant and perform femininity to entertain, Kisegawa is coarse and rough and female with harsh language and not presenting any skills like an entertainer (other than Rakugo like they all do) therefore Kisegawa is a female courtesan/prostitute?
