Sometimes he wants his father here so much it hurts. And not for himself, but for his mother.

Penelope smiles, unable to stop herself from chuckling. "We raced each other from the shore to an outcrop of rock," she tells him. "A fair distance, but a swift journey if one does not need to come up often to breathe. So, of course, when he finally caught up, sputtering and splashing, he sought an answer for his great loss." Not the most accurate or flattering description, but the fondness in Penelope's voice makes up for the slight dramatics. "The best he could come up with was that I was some sort of seal, though I think if I had caught a fish with my teeth, that would've been a far more entertaining victory. And I certainly had the time to, with how slow of a swimmer he was."

I'm finally doing it!! Gonna try to illustrate a Major Arcana deck featuring Black Myth Wukong Characters. The Major Arcana has 22 cards which should be more doable for me than doing 70+ cards for the entire deck. I think after I've finished the Major Arcana, I will tackle some cards inthe Minor Arcana depending on which character I feel like drawing and which one I think will fit the card.

Day 2: Seduction - aside from her assassin outfit, this is thirstiest dress we got from official media; Day 16: Red Thread - I took more comedic route for this one. Thread of her sweater got caught somehow on his watch 🙃

tashi’s cartier love bracelet is one of her jewelry pieces i’m most curious for the lore behind because the bracelet itself is such an interesting piece. it’s got a special locking mechanism where you can’t put it on or take it off by yourself; it needs to be screwed into place and comes with a special tiny screwdriver to do it. the act of putting it on or taking it off requires a whole other person to help. the official website even says that part of the symbolism behind the locking design is to show that “love is not to be taken lightly.”

so what’s the story behind tashi’s bracelet? was it a gift from art? was it the first piece of expensive jewelry he bought her when he could afford it? did he give it to her after he won his first slam title? on their wedding day? their first anniversary? her birthday? the day lily was born? these are the kinds of details about this movie and these characters’ lives that i’m dying to know and get so wrapped up in.

「✶」 Sitting on the bedside table of a bedroom in the Vashwood house is a cheerful-looking blond plushie dressed in a red coat. Most of its days passed in peace, but today—

—with effort, a pair of cottony nubs drags plushie Vash from its perch and onto the pillows of the bed. Looming over its captured prey, the mute and stuffing version of Aury stares down at the empty eyes before shaking it by the shoulders.

Did they turn you into a doll too?

Perhaps it also couldn't speak, but when Aurelius pokes it in a certain spot, a sudden "Happy!" startles the angel into falling backwards on its back. He scrambles up with effort to stare at "Vash" incredulously.

How can you be happy in a situation like this?

Aury prods Vash again, but all he gets are the same old messages.

"Happy!" "Safe!" "Happy!"

There is nothing safe about this situation. Don't you understand the circumstances we're in now?

Sadly, plushies can't read minds. As Aury contemplates the logistics of taking plushie Vash with him to escape the unfamiliar room, a strange instinct causes the fuzz of his felt to stand on end. His head whips towards the door, where golden eyes fixate on a pair of bright green ones.

...I don't like the look of that cat.

He paps Vash to get his attention, and this time the plushie actually says something sensible for once.

"Worried..."

The strange cat arches its back, as if intending to pounce. Aury draws himself up to his full 20cm and stares it down. Maybe if he punches it in the nose, it'd retreat?
