Ever think about how niche and rich Gotham culture must be? (aka i've been going over this whilst writing and needed to share)

Like-

Would gas masks become fashionable?

Would there be even stricter laws about importing certian goods into Gotham or even tracking places that sell them?? (ex Nitrous Oxide, balloons, birds, etc)

Do people rep different Bat merch like a local sports team?

Would people treat the Bats (or other guest vigilantes) like bird watching? (*cough tim cough*)

Is there a weapon/gear drop off service??

Or do people collect that shit

Would there be antidote administration lessons alongside epi pen first aid in schools?

this is one of the best asks i had received here. single-handedly. here is what i think:

gas masks are DEFINITELY a part of the local fashion. they have vigilante and rogue themed once also! do you want Batman-themed gas mask? here you go. or Red Robin one? oh, what is it? you want THE special edition gas mask? the Scarecrow THEMED one? don't worry. we have you covered.

i just know that customs house workers are NOT getting paid enough for this shit. they have, like, ridiculous amount of directive about the simplest items, and that's why tourists are skipping this fucking town. i also pretty much need the game in Papers, Please style with customs house in Gotham, lmao—

my personal canon? every vigilante and some of rogues have merch selling in the town; some more popular than others. my personal canon x2? the Crime Alley started to rep their own Red Hood merch, and Jason was flabbergasted. he then visited the owners of the merch, encouraging them to donate this ridiculous amount of money they get for the rest of Crime Alley citizens. once people found out about this? they went even more insane. the selling of Red Hood merch is just OVER the top. (bonus headcanon: sometimes, there is a ship merch, too. like SuperBat stuff. or BatCat. Dick accidentally stumbles on BatJokes when he hunts for SuperBats key chains and calls Jason to ask him to burn this place down.)

Tim was the OG birdwatcher, trust. but also, YEAH. i am pretty sure some people prepare themselves for the night by grabbing binoculars and super-puper rich cams to examine Bats in their natural habitat. Bats know about the existence of these people, but they can't really do anything about it. Tim has a secret Reddit account that is a local expert in their Gotham Birdwatching community, where he is giving advice or just being a condescending asshole to people. Barbara sometimes chimes in this subreddit to add her own thoughts.

Bats suck at keeping their gadgets or broken pieces of inventory, trust. and people...? oh, people collect this shit. it is either freaks, who have their own personal museums for this, or, like, people who sell what they find on Amazon. everyone wants a piece of that to themselves. (bonus headcanon: Crime Alley people keep bringing Red Hood's dropped weapons and gears back, under Jason's door, even though Jason *insists* that he has no connection to Red Hood. uh-uh.)

i always thought police stations, schools, hospitals, and similar public spaces have different antidotes stocked in any case — Bruce Wayne makes sure it does. and yes, i think they have special lessons for different, specific scenarios: what to do once faced with toxins or pollens, how to apply medicine, or what to do if there is none of it. how to act if there are Poison Ivy's plants surrounding you, etc, etc. police officers definitely carry a few antidotes on themselves, just in case people will need it. and, obviously, the same goes for Bats.

The Danny x Cass Live Show

It had been a nice time for Danny as he met Cass at Gotham Academy; he really liked her, and she talked with him. And they started to date. They were going out on dates after school, listening to music with the same headphones, and sharing the same drinks. It was a very known thing after a short time in whole Gotham City about it.  It was an open thing to see them on the streets having their own romance. And the people in Gotham took it like a live dating series.

+ Danny regrets nothing about moving with Jazz to Gotham; he really is loving it. And he got a girlfriend from it! And for his study of clean electricity he sold, he and Jazz were doing pretty well with money. Cass is super cute!

Cass is loving having a boyfriend; he was nice and not part of her nightlife. So she can, with him, truly rest from all the stress. Now if only her siblings would stop watching her all the time in the city as if they were a romance show on TV. Danny is very cute! + Batman isn't sure what to think, on the one hand. Cass is happy, but on the other hand, he has nothing on Daniel Fenton. Other than that, he once worked as a researcher or technician for the government. But Cass is happy, and that is enough... And how things are, they would be a marriage. Grandpa Bruce... He can see it.

Umm, I actually do need three copies of Pride and Prejudice. I need the annotated copy with all my thoughts written in the margins and my favorite quotes highlighted, I need the shitty paperback I’m not afraid to lose or ruin for when I go out of town and need something to read, and I need the pretty and decorative copy that has a library binding and illustrations and pressed flowers on the paper and replicas of all the letters tucked in the pages. i like how barton went from being like... a hippie in terms of how he viewed sex in his early twenties, then kind of abstained from it for a few years / became sexually repressed, which... definitely isn't such a good thing. BUT then he became even more of a freak (and i do mean that in the good way this time LOL) around the time he started residency because WOW is that shit stressful. though that was also unfortunately around the time when he really started to spiral as well 😬 but we don't need to talk about that ahahhh

like the way this man learned how to express his sexuality REALLY came full circle in the end considering he was like 'yeah, back in the early days that i was in college, i was a freak. but now i'm not anymore... though do you want to see me do it again anyway?' like 💀 JSJSJ if he weren't so demented, i'd almost be inclined to say good for him, y'all LMAO feeling comfortable with your sexuality and perhaps even having a bit of fun with it (though maybe too much in barton's case, because he literally weaponizes it in order to lure in his victims. BUT once again, we don't need to talk about that right now psshhh. i actually fully intend on talking about that in the tags NGL) is more often than not a good thing after all

BLOG POST NO. 7 - TALKING ABOUT THOSE WAYNES AGAIN

So I mentioned in another post at some point that I might talk about other members of the Wayne Family— and I got nothing better to do right now so that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

First off is Alfred Pennyworth. I probably should have mentioned him in my original post, but that one was just about Bruce Wayne and his kids and Alfred is definitely not one of his children— for obvious reasons. I don’t have much to say about this man other than the fact that he looks very grandfatherly, if that makes sense. He looks like the kind of guy you’d come to for life advice, or to just listen to stories of the “good old days” while drinking a nice warm cup of hot chocolate. He’s also apparently a very good cook, according to literally every single Wayne, so I’d love to exchange recipes if we ever meet (pssh, like that’s ever gonna happen, but one can dream, amiright?).

Next on the list is Katherine Kane, or Kate Kane. Honestly this woman is the walking definition of “please step on me”. My friend’s words, not mine (which friend, you might ask? Well wouldn’t you like to know weather boy—). But like, seriously, look at this woman and look at Bruce Wayne— how the fuck are they even related? Bruce Wayne is like the human personification of the word “babygirl”, and Kate Kane is what “femme fatale” would look like as a person.

This woman has got people questioning their sexual identity right, left, and center.

Then next is Stephanie Brown. Some people say she’s an official Wayne, other people say she isn’t. She did an interview with the family once and in it she did say that she wouldn’t really consider herself a Wayne officially, but that she was great friends with the whole family. So basically, like a very close family friend. I’m pretty sure Bruce Wayne already made a college fund for her and that her high-rise apartment is paid for fully by him as well but you know, to each their own.

Again, I don’t have a lot to say about her, mostly because she’s one of the few people related to the Wayne family that don’t actually show up that much in the media. Well, beyond her personal social media accounts but she just posts random pictures of the Wayne family being various degrees of idiot.

Next is Lucas Fox, or Luke Fox. This guy got famous for being born into wealth and prestige— you know, being the son of Lucius Fox, the president and CEO of WE. He had a pretty good boxing career (I have never gone into boxing, I know nothing about it—). I think he’s working at WE with his dad now? Maybe? Honestly I don’t know, I can’t be bothered to do that much thorough research on some dude.

Oh, he has a double degree in engineering and business management though. If I ever meet the guy, I’ll probably just ask him about engineering related stuff. Like how to build a robot. And how to not go fucking insane.

Then there’s Barbara Gordon herself. I still stand by the points I made in my previous post talking about her and I will die on this hill. She is an amazing person and honestly I’m inclined to believe that she’s an actual angel. I mean, come on, she gave me homemade banana bread one time because she found out through my dumb friends that I passed one of my exams. She’s still my favorite.

Also, she apparently used to date the oldest Wayne kid at some point? Honestly the dude should count himself lucky.

With that, I think that’s about everyone? Maybe? There’s so many people connected to this family that honestly it’s hard to say.

I know the Wayne kids are also friends with someone named Harper Row, but there’s not that much information on her online other than the fact that she volunteers at Martha’s House a lot and also is in Electrical Engineering— which honestly makes me want to meet her because holy fuck I need more help with circuitry (why did I choose to pursue this degree again? None may ever know).

I’ll make another post if it turns out I forgot to talk about anyone major. Otherwise, that’s the whole post.

The Wayne Family isn’t even a tree at this point, it’s a fucking ball of yarn and Bruce Wayne is the cat that keeps tangling it up even more.
