Her name is Winona Walters, or Winnie Walters, and she’s known as Spidergirl/Spider-Tox! Her earth (Earth-198392) was rendered uninhabitable on the surface following a nuclear war, forcing all of the humans to live in underground societies while the fauna and flora on the surface were mutated into beasts and other things. Those underground societies became utopias, and where Winnie lives, Utopia York, is the center of the bustling new society. Her mother was a researcher for not alchemax, but another company that studied the radioactive creatures on the surface.

One day, on bring-your-daughter-to-work day, Winnie’s mother had brought (8yo) her into the office when it was attacked by a radioactive spider monster that had found its way from the surface. Her mom didn’t survive but Winnie did, hospitalized with a vicious bite on the back of her neck. Winnie’s powers didn’t come instantly, she was bitten when she was very young but her powers started showing as a teen (like how symptoms of radiation sometimes don’t show up for a while), but it came with nasty side effects (of which im still working on)

So she has the typical web slinging stuff, but she also has the power to melt anything she touches. She learns that the hard way and has to wear special gloves, and also she can glow in the dark like radium (it’s kinda useless but it’s cool aesthetically). Winnie goes around fighting crime and saving Utopia York from mutant surface creatures and those who want to exploit destructive materials left over from the ancient war that destroyed the surface!

Fellow Tumblrfolk! I'm looking for a blog to follow that's dedicated to posting facts about bugs (aka snails, slugs, spiders, ants, you name it). I have a specific need, though! There cannot be ANY images (snails and slugs are an exception). I kind of have a phobia that I've gotten better about as I've grown up, but I still have much to work on. This is kind of why I'm looking for blogs like this! If I learn more about them without seeing them, I might get curious about what they look like, and go about desensitizing at my own pace.

I'm willing to follow multiple blogs if, say, arachnid only, and such like that. Because I know they're a vast section of creatures that it's unfair to, y'know, group them together. Like saying a whale is a fish or something?

Sprite edits to get a better feel for the characters.

Did an edit of Cherri and Angel together, taken from the pilot. The pilot has a lot of fluid fun energy, so I wanted to try and break down what about it I liked for future use. Gave Cherri more orange and yellow to work with, her sin is gluttony after all. Angel in that shot is playful and silly, I just added my spider elements and his coat for when he's not at the hotel.

Next is Mimzy! I gave her a slightly more money green color, and just decked her in golds and greens to represent her envy, and the greedy aura she puts on.

Alastor and Niffty was just recomfirming their designs for me. Niffty as this silly little mantis, and Alastor as a deer. Plus I wanted to check that I could actually draw Alastor a second time.

Niffty and Angel have such an interesting dynamic that is entirely unexplored in the show, which is a shame because I think they're really fun. This edit was both to reconfirm to myself the dynamic I wanted them to have, as well as just a cute silly image to have.

And finally Lucifer! I tried to pin down his design a bit better and fix the colors from last time.

Queen Veronica the Fifth (V)! The Late Queen of Venostar, and Toxecia's mother. Vivi for short because 'Veronica V'.

I've been meaning to put her ref together for a while. Have a bonus Riki Fuhrmann style of her too (: Plus child Toxecia.

A rather strict Queen, but she cared for her people and her family, and was overall cherished in the kingdom. She's the Fifth Veronica in a massive family tree of royal spiders. She's a mix of bossy and nice, a caring person hidden behind a status to uphold. She has a rather deep, sultry voice.

She took her role very seriously as Queen, the result of generations of Queens passing their hopes and dreams onto their children. Why is that, you might ask? It's because their species have very short lifespans... barely able to live longer than 40 years. A bad gene or something, that kinda just... kills them after a certain amount of time. Venostar scientists have been studying how to rid this gene for almost 100 years to allow a Queen to live a fully prosperous life.

Her husband (To be named + designed) was the perfect balance she needed in her life. Fun, full of energy, silly and hopelessly romantic. He's basically like Asgore without the murdering kids part lmao. With him, Veronica almost seems like a different person.

Together they have Toxecia, their darling little daughter. Sadly Veronica and Tox don't get along very well for the majority of their life, and Tox finds more comfort with her father. He taught her how to use a sword during their time together.

As a child, Tox develops an over-productive poison gland. It first occurs during a speech Veronica is giving to the kingdom. That day would send the family into a depressive spiral.

Most of the kingdom views Toxecia as a freak, a cursed child. She can't leave the castle without leaving a trail of paralyzing poison around the town. Eventually Veronica prevents her from leaving the castle unattended. Tox would only go into town with her father from there on out... until the day that he passes away, when Tox was a young teen.

Veronica and Tox both suffer from this loss. Veronica missing that positive, lighthearted personality that helped her for so long, and Tox losing a lot of confidence. Tox inherits her dads Sword (The one Veronica is holding in the 2nd pic)

Veronica would try to find a new love, but struggled to do so. She became more flirty in this time, and also more depressed. She had gotten close to another female spider at least, but that was a secret kept to them alone 🤫

Sadly, as her time was coming, she prepared Toxecia to inherit the throne, and Veronica would pass away when Tox was barely 18.

She remains buried beside her husband. Tox visits their grave weekly, even if they didn't get along, she misses them both... the royal advisor takes her parents place now.

Alone and young, Toxecia goes on to rule a kingdom that rejects her.

Hobie had zoned out a while ago as Miguel debriefed him, Miles, and Pav for their next mission. He tried to listen. He really honestly did. Miguel just has such a boring face and tone, nothing but ‘teamwork’ this and ‘rules’ that or his personal favorite, ‘Hobie stop going in head first!’ That followed by him probably cursing in Spanish.

He slouched in the chair and glanced over at Miles who was paying very close attention to everything being said. His leg bouncing as he…is he taking notes?!

Before Hobie could poke fun at him a portal opened revealing two people dressed in civilian clothes unlike the other spiders. One was a taller man that he recognized as one of his few friends in the society. He had a symbiote called venom. The other was someone he didn’t recognize but wanted to very soon when he saw those form fitting jeans and that sweet looking face.

“This is Eric James aka Venom of Earth 6-45 and [f.name] [l.name] aka Toxin of Earth 5-428. They’re gonna be your muscle for this mission but that doesn’t mean slack off. I’ll leave you to come up with a plan for tomorrow.” Hobie rolled his eyes as he walked off.

He felt eyes on him and turned to see you reading over a file but it wasn’t you that was staring. It was the only black head with large white eyes and razor teeth that came from your shoulder. It stared at him silently before you sighed and looked up at him apologetic. “Sorry about them. They have a staring problem.” Your voice was soft and calm. He didn’t know how to explain it but you sounded like lavender.

“I’m working on it!” The head argued with a rainbow sheen shining in the light.

You nodded and laughed a bit, “you’re working on it.”

The Brit smirked, “eh, s’lright. I get stares often.”

You looked at him and batted your lashes, “I bet you do.” Your symbiote visibly perked up, “oh we are flirting?” White milky eyes wide and grin even larger. You huff, “well I was trying Tox.” The head bobbed as it nodded, “tell him he is hot!” “Toxin! Please!”

Hobie struggled to hold in his laughter as he watched the two of you bicker. Miles walked up beside him and stared concerned and curious. “What’s happening?” The boy asked.

His punk friend through an arm over his shoulder, “pretty sure ‘m gettin’ hit on, bruv.”

“Ugh, you can’t read the room for shit!”

“I’m trying to help you [name]! You’re not doing a very good job, he's laughing at you…”

“I wonder why…”

- Have crush on Kronos. Both have mutual pining with each other (Spiritus: "I suffer and you two are fragging stupid.")

As Viper:

- Same fate as twins, he was reformed against his will into spider-beast alike bot

- Change name on Viper

- Helicopter mode

- He's becomes vengeful after that

- Mutual pining on Kronos remains (even that Kronos join the Autobots)

- Spiritus and Kronos are the only one who call him by his old designation: Tox

- Join Decepticons with Spiritus

- Main medic of Spiritus's team

- Has sensitive optics against bright lights. Wearing protective visor otherwise he's blind as mole/bat. Visor is made from durable glass to withstand strong attacks otherwise it would break easily

- He has arm blades that he can extend and retract back. Same case with rotor blades where he has another pair of blades hidden there. Blades are inject with corosive acid (glowing green when active)

- Can shot webs that are strong and sticky

- Has habit hanging upside down on his web rope like Spider-man

- His face hide and his helm transform into beast alike face

- Neck gets extend. Biolights are start glowing on the neck

9. worst part of canon

The worst part of canon in TFP except the fact there were money cuts, and director changes thus the series couldn't reach its full potential? For sure, facts not adding up sometimes. The info contradicting itself or being straight up illogical. Let me give you an example... When a new enemy drops in this series they are introduced like a Doom boss. But later on, while confronting autobots, they just evaporate with no effort from the opponent. Two vehicons at the beggining of TFP - Arcee and Bee couldn't fight them off for the half of the episode. Only when Bulkhead joined they actually retreated. Later on vehicons are dropping dead left and right with the slightest touch (I know there are theories about them pretending but it's still stupid). When the first insecticon appears, Megatron, the champion of Kaon, barely defeats the creature. On Cybertron Arcee cannot take it either, so it needs to be devoured by scraplets. Later tho, they drop like flies when hit by Autobots. Bulkhead can take 3 at once while being barely alive from tox-en exposure, and it is said they are the best insecticons in the grup. It's like the characters saw the new enemy, faced it while being underleveled af, and later they grinded behind the scenes, so now the enemies are just dying with a touch of their mighty finger (excuse my game comparison).

What is also annoying about TFP is the ammount of favouring towards Autobots while preaching that their enemies are very powerful. An example: Megatron is a menace, he is a monster, everyone is scared of him - gets his ass wooped every time. Starscream, the master of strategy, great commander deemed as unpredictable - would trip and die sooner than the enemy would reach him... Like, at least just state that Decepticons are dumb, so somehow their gigantic army with very dangerous general and leader, posessing unlimited energon supplies and a ship that can take them everywhere (that also has Soundwave on board) didn't win with 5 Autobots sitting in a cave, constantly starving, and stranded from their own technology. I know why they did it, it's more exciting for the viewer. But if 5 Autobots can best all of this, why didn't they just win the war earlier? I know we'd not have a show then, but it's still a bit funny when you'd think about it.

Next thing is that characters often forget that they can transform or have any abilities when the show needs them to lose the fight, even if they used said abilities previously when the show wanted them to win...

It's all very well-hidden behind the captivating writing and beautiful visuals, but mate there are problems. Anyway, it's still the best show in my book.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

Airachnid - the queen! She's so interesting! I like what they did with her, her character, abilities, the fact that she collects species and just chills on her own in space, her unique transformation with spider parts. I'm surprised there is so little content about her. I myself have a bit of a problem with her, mainly because of my arachnophobia, and her spidering time... I just have a little block to make anything with it, but I love her nonetheless ;v; Her backstory would be something I'd gladly read about.

Breakdown - rarely seen without his hostile red car partner (affectionately) on fanarts. It seems as if fandom treats him like he was just Knockout's love interest, where I feel he has a lot of potential on his own. For example, his story as an ex-wrecker that got totally abandoned by the show alone. Him being much softer in character than other Decepticons and the fact he is one nonetheless. Very interesting to ponder.

Makeshift - the potential this character would have in this show... if only he wasn't taken away from us so early...

21. part of canon you think is overhyped

Decepticons having blue eyes before the war. So many people jumped on the bandwagon of this subjective af Ratchet's story... and then it appears that the creators made it only so the children would understand visually that this was the moment of Megatron choosing violence. It makes no sence in the lore, and doesn't correspond to other characters that have also different eye colors than just red.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

Soundwave. Him choosing not to do anything except when he is directly asked to. Soundwave is like a half-god in TFP. He never fails, can move groundbridges at will, can teleport the whole army to the random moon on Cybertron... Why won't he just teleport Team Prime to the vulcano? Or to some trap to insta-kill them if he can do the same with the whole army of Insecticons and Airachnid? He kinda just looks depressed in his corner and seems like he doesn't give two shits about the war effort sometimes. He would do something when he's asked to, and if not for that, he kinda just idles in the background. Except that one time he brought back the corpse of Megatron from the orbit. And I know you can explain it in many ways but the trial of doing so with certain details is something I've not seen that much of. Mostly people just brush it off with simple "he's just loyal to Megatron" but some scenes could suggest different solutions, and finding more reasons for him doing what he does is very interesting to me.

making a superhero setting with a supervillain by the name of Mister Bones as one of it's characters, being the very theatrical owner of a boardwalk carnival, sociologist and having an small army of robot minions, but I can't think of a good motive for them which is a shame because I really like them.

like the others I have so far kinda make themselves.

we have Everyman, a vigilante with a black-and-white view on morality who sees people who don't as cowardly wimps.

Tox, who was melted into a puddle and is now PISSED and is acting out of vengeance.

and Squall was bullied for their appearance (imagine the BTAS Penguin with the ps5 Spider-Man's Doc Ock's head) and nobody took their research into climate change seriously so their using their knowledge of weather control to fuck people up.

but what do you do with small-scale Eggman over here? I guess the first question to ask would be if owning the boardwalk is a part of a scheme, like to make money or act as a cover for their experiments into robotics and sociology, or if they just also own the carnival because they want to?

Rex steps into the bunk that Dogma and Tup share with several other vod'e from Torrent and he stops dead in his tracks.

Arachne, still dressed in her spandex but with her mask hanging from the wall, is fast asleep on Dogma's chest.

It also looks like there are bandages of some sort under her uniform(?).

"What happened?" Rex asks Dogma and Tup, both of whom look very stressed for men no longer at war.

"She said something about venom?" Tup says, "but we ran a tox screen, and she hasn't been poisoned-"

Dogma lightly strokes Arache's head, "Something skewered her, like a spear of some sort. Kix already wrapped her up, but she was barely coherent when she fell on Fives and Echo-"

"Fell?!"

"Yeah. Off a building, she hit the ground hard by all accounts." Tup says, not half as concerned about that the fact that she has a hole in her torso.

Honestly your Kirby ocs are wonderful and really inspire me to wanna make some too, you got any tips for that? Would appreciate any tips or just how you came to have some of the ideas for them

Thank you!!! That really means a lot to me! My OCs mean the world to me, and its wonderful to hear they inspire you!

I'll try to write some general tips and how I kinda came up with some of my ideas... hope any of this helps!

I mostly focus on the spiders since I'm just super in love with them. And they vary a lot I'd say!

I usually like to start with a few questions before starting work, but not always! Sometimes its fun to just design a character for the heck of it, or if you get a really cool idea! And you can worry about story and lore later.

My questions usually involve

. 'where will this character live?' usually dependent on where I want to plop them into the kirby world. Dreamland? Floralia? Some distant planet I just made up? Anything!

. 'what role/ purpose do they serve for me or the story creatively?' Are they gonna be a main character and have a story? Are they gonna be a self insert for fun? Are they a supporting character or a love interest perhaps? Or better yet, a villain?! The possibilities are endless!!! I sometimes like to make side characters as well, like NPCs. . 'what will their personality be like?' Fairly obvious question, but it will really shape the character into exactly what you want, and who they will be! . 'who are they friends/ enemies with, if any?' I like to usually pair my characters up with someone at least, unless isolation is a key part of their story/ identity. A good example I have is making Toxecia and Sylvette. I specifically made Toxecia to be a tyrannical Queen, and Sylvette to be a close friend to Tox, trying her best to help her become a better person.

Or you have Puffe and Pierce for example. They both work for Haltmann Works INC, but are rivals and hate each others guts.

There may be more questions I'm forgetting but those are my main thoughts first and foremost.

One thing that usually leads to for me at least is a story to tell. I like to create a story my characters can follow and develop through- even if I know I'll never actually be able to tell the story. But a story can come before or after you make an OC.

Now lets talk a lil about how I came up with a few of my characters!

Halaro for example! He's a... sort of self-insert, but also not. His design is both based off of my other sonas/ main characters, and also Taranza. Saying Taranza may seem obvious, but my ideal goal was to have Halaro work in the castle, to be a part of it and be around Taranza. This helps me control how much detail I can actually put into Halaro. I don't want Halaro looking superior to Taranza as he is meant to be lower rank than Taranza. So his design ends up being rather simple with a few minor quirks to make him at least stand out.

Tbh he's does get confused for Taranza often still, but I'm slowly working on separating them more and more as time goes on... but still keep em somewhat similar.

So... he lives in Floralia, Dreamland. He's a sort of self insert, he's the main character overall in my little story (which may never be told lmao) but its nice to have a story somewhere in the background and bring up bits of it every so often.

Toxecia is a fun one. She's heavily based off of a anime character from 'Black ⭐ Rock Shooter' named 'Black Gold Saw'.

I took the longer horns, the hair design (somewhat) and some outfit pieces. Like the sleeve I turned into one of her robes. I also made a similar weapon.

Where my differences come in are the colors. I really wanted to use a toxic green and purple combo cos I've never tried that before. Other elements are mostly original- like her scepter. Its simple, more or a trident if anything, with a classic kirby™ eyeball aesthetic.

Its perfectly okay to borrow things from other IP or OCs as long as you change it up enough!!! Be inspired by what you like!!!

One thing I like to do too is look at other peoples OCs and examine how they design things, what makes them unique, what colors can work or not.

You can also go the route of making a mood board of things you might want the character to be like.

I'd write more but I don't wanna go overboard lmao. Hope this at least is a starting point! Feel free to send any more questions!

Wiedergeburt - Rebirth

Wiedergeburt - Rebirth by die Buchbrennerin, Problemedic, and the Librarian

Not too long until this one came out! I'm used to much longer pauses by this point. This one IS very short compared to the other VNs though, so that probably helped.

Large chunks of this one are in German (die Buchbrennerin/Quixate/Razca's player is German) which I don't speak, but I did ask some people who do what they thought. Buchbrennerin talks strangely - the formality in her speech varies wildly, from distant formal to informal (in a position of power) to formal to very conversationally unnatural responses that feel unsettling, back to informal and then ends on polite. So the tone is all over the place, which sounds about right.

We open on a new version of Kiwiface that looks even worse than the last one, and it's not like the last one was winning any awards.

They're hanging out in a place that seems to have spider webs and Problemedic shows up. I know that's her new name but I always think of her as Toxinuate. Her design has undergone some minor changes over time, I guess to reflect her new Eastar version after the Frequency shift.

Note the new symbol on her apron, I have no idea how to parse it. It could be a sigil but more on that in a second. Prob comes up to Buchbrennerin and asks her if she knows who she is. Buch says "Ein alter Assistent" and Prob realizes with some dismay that she doesn't speak German/Cenastrisch that well. Buch asks "Was bringt Sie hierher?" which Prob translates as "what brings me here".

Prob then surprisingly closes her mouth, which we haven't seen since the MS Paint era of complete scribbly nonsense.

Way back in the day, Glip did an auto-bio comic using Tox as a stand-in for themselves (Victim Blaming), with Tox taking their place when Glip was young and their dad molested them. They went to their mom to tell her about it, and she told them to shut up and not tell anyone, essentially. Glip/Tox at the time was tortured by the desire to tell someone to make it stop, since their mom wasn't doing anything to help them, but also not wanting to hurt their family by talking. They wanted to scream, but couldn't, so Tox went from a closed-mouth bird to having an open screaming mouth all the time.

It's unclear if Prob is the exact same as Tox or if Glip still projects onto Prob the same way they used to, or if Prob is constantly screaming for the same reason Tox used to (if that was the reason... I don't know if Victim Blaming applied to Tox outside of that story). One element to this though that sticks out to me is that Tox's design is VERY close to a design of one of Pengo's characters at the time that I don't know the name of. On occasion Tox and PengoTox hung out and were implied to be in a relationship. Now that Pengo seems to be on the outs with Glip, Prob starts closing her mouth so she and PengoTox no longer look the same. I couldn't say for sure, but it doesn't feel like a coincidence to me.

Prob says she's trying to deliver some things to Arcus and asks if Buch can help her with that. Buch says "Warum? Sprich." and Prob says she doesn't remember what the first part of that means. Buch continues with "Bei Ihnen hat vieles nachgelassen." which Prob also can't follow. We get a glimpse of Buch's full body which has a ridiculous looking smiley face on the abdomen (?) as she adds "Arcus".

Prob decides to just describe the situation. Buch says "Das stimmt." and Prob anxiously asks if its okay if she just lays out her concerns. Buch nods (nicken) and says "Ich stimme zu." so Prob starts talking.

Prob says that Arcus was supposed to take back the Art Pyramid today in a reset. She says the Pyramid was made for Andre, who had his name broken (by an angel) but it's been fixed enough for use now. Arcus had taken his Pyramid, and Prob nervously says that someone in Arcus is abusing it and Chisel wouldn't appreciate what's happening to her orrery, which I guess is stored in the Pyramid? Prob says she was trying to deliver an egg to the Pyramid (World egg? Andre egg?) but it's not "solidly" in Arcus, even though it's supposed to be. It was supposed to be removed from Owel today, but it wasn't because a Luneko showed up at the right time to stabilize it. She says it was "by chance" and then says it's hard to explain.

She says this has happened once before (a Luneko showing up to stabilize things) when a form of Andre was in the Pyramid and was about to leave to Althar. This form of Andre is referred to as "she" which is unusual. Maybe one of the fused Phesund forms like Phesomme or whatever? Anyway, Prob says those are the two stable points they have for showing that they have time before Arcus tries to reclaim the Pyramid again.

Prob says they can work out in theory what it would mean for Arcus to have the Pyramid again, then says they can put a lot of data into the Art Pyramid and put that in Arcus, which would restore a lot of Cenastre. At the mention of Cenastre, Buch perks up.

Buch says "Cenastre. Ja. Es ist Zeit zurückzugeben." which Prob partially translates as "It's time... something?". Buch gestures at her, then herself, and says "Geben. Schenken. Unterstützen. Aufbauen. Helfen." Prob apologizes, saying she doesn't understand, but she does want to help, to which Buch goes "Ja. Helfen. Du, Cenastre." and Prob agrees she wants to help. Prob asks if she can come back later while she gets some charts ready. Buch says "Bitte schön." and Prob leaves.

We then cut to a place where the luminosity is WAY too high. Prob's standing with another Buch looking figure, this one with a TAL face and flower theming.

Prob and the Librarian have a conversation that's almost entirely in sigils. According to a friendly anon on Tumblr, sigils are a type of glyph writing Glip came up with. There are a lot of affinities in Floraverse (Pokemon types) that break down into different smaller subsets (Fire + Water = Steam) and each of those elemental things have a symbol and a color and an emotion (maybe a direction?) associated with them. To make a sigil, you connect symbols for that element with lines indicating... well I'm not sure, actually. The direction and placement and flow of the lines is really important to what it's supposed to be saying, but the only one who really knows for sure what a sigil means is the one who wrote it, which would be Glip. But then again hasn't Glip always been the only one who understands any of this?

A few pieces of the conversation are written normally, but the vast majority is in impenetrable glyphs. Prob mentions Cenastre and that everywhere else will do something, and the Librarian responds "Didn't you though? In the entire review," and then goes into more sigils. It's sigils all the way down. I don't really know how to describe these.

After a bunch more weird sigils, Prob says "A Dreamer... oh! That's so different!"

I guess somewhere in that weird symbol there's something that means Dreamer, but I have no idea where to begin to untangle it all. Even co-writers for Floraverse don't fully understand the elemental systems involved, according to a doc that an anon sent me written by one (Sunbe, I believe). I guess the lowly comic readers just have to go by vibes on this one.

Weird leafy kiwiface continues throwing sigils at you non-stop with no explanation, so have fun with them I guess. The luminosity on this continues to burn the eyes.

Eventually the Librarian makes a big orb and then a bunch of sigils appear on the side that look vaguely like circuit board patterns, and it gets overlaid with more patterns in different colors. I'm sure this must mean something to Glip but I'll be damned if it means something to anyone else. I even know what these squiggles are supposed to be and I just have no idea.

Anyway the VN just ends there. Glip mentions in the description that they've closed off one of their discord servers to minors (they did a weird scribbly comic about this with CC) but they left another one open for minors to join and probably get creeped on. There's now a third server that Kuri runs for Cenastre as Buchbrennerin, with two intros. One in English goes "Join Cenastre. Use head and eyes to proceed." and in German/Cenastrich "Trete Cenastre bei. Benutze dabei Kopf und Augen zum Fortfahren. Bei anderen ein Lachen hervorzubringen, ist immer vorteilhaft." which adds on a line about how having a sense of humor is helpful, by what Google Translate tells me. So there's that, I guess.

In a real shocking turn of events, after this VN Glip posted an actual comic page! Just a page instead of a VN! And says in the desc there'll be pages for a while. It's been so long since this happened I'm not entirely sure how best to deal with it. I guess I'll wait for a while for the pages to build up or when another VN drops and go from there.
