Ok but the cave scene in tsoa is actually so funny because Achilles really asked his mom if she could see them and then ran back to camp went up to Chiron and was like , “Are you tired, yeah your tired why don’t you go to bed,” before running back to the bedroom and lying in bed. Then he blurted out that his mom couldn’t see them while Patroclus was washing his face leaving him like shocked. Then while Patroclus is trying to sleep and Achilles is just staring at him probably thinking , “damn I can hit that now,” and , “it’s been three years” and it’s like written to elegantly

This line hit me really hard. Achilles wants to die, he wants to let himself be killed. But his very own divine nature doesn't allow it, he keeps getting "betrayed by it". The very thing he is keeps him away from his beloved.

His glory was supposed to be all about that: the best warrior, the one who cannot be defeated, the one who can't be killed. He can't die and so the reason that was supposed to bring him fame and glory is the very thing that continues to have him separated from Patroclus and increasing his suffering.

(This is so random I don’t know why I wrote it)

Namjoon: already knew the story, still cried at the end

Hoseok: didn’t know who achilles and patroclus were, managed to finish it in four months (he got busy)

Yoongi: got really attached to the characters and everyone makes fun of him for it

Seokjin: sees himself in Thetis for some reason

Jimin: started a “I hate Agamemnon” club, secretly finds hector hot

Taehyung: liked it so much he decided to wear a tunic for an entire week

Jungkook: didn’t read it, listened to namjoon telling the whole story

listen, but… tsoa school-au??

- odysseus is that cool teacher™who allows you to leave his lesson before the break

- before school he always buys some flowers to his wife penelope, also a teacher, and brings to her lessons

- patroclus was transferred to this school because he had a fight in the last one (not his fault, but still)

- on the first day odysseus tells him to sit with achilles — this is a beginning of a great friendship (and a great romance 😌)

- chiron is a teacher of biology

- students are still not sure do they like him or are they scared of him

- he ships patrochilles together with odysseus and like always puts them in the same group (“sir why do you always let achilles and patroclus work together? — “heracles it’s a romance you idiot”)

- achilles and patroclus go to the drama class, where they meet briseis and became friends with her

- briseis came to their school on an exchange program and still don’t know language very well, so patroclus helps her

- achilles is jealous even though he didn’t tell patroclus about his ✨feelings✨, but briseis cooperates with odysseus and chiron

- and — finally! — patroclus starts dating with achilles — thetis doesn’t mind it bc she doesn’t know
