been thinking about how asuna’s [spoiler] scene in the last chapter of idol sengen is oddly underwhelming in the volume version compared to the piccoma release?
i mean l i ke (spoiler reveal under the cut)—

idk if it’s just me but seeing it in colour made the scene hit harder somehow? in some way?
s o . im just. thinking ahead here but…
what if i tried to overlay the colour panel onto the page when i eventually tl it in a few months?
i’m not good at picture editing at all.
b u t still.
i kinda wanna try to go the extra mile for asuna anyway… hmmmmmmmmm…
#oh welllll. in the end that’s for future me to decide ig…#i’m not even sure if anyone would be interested in it anyway…#maybe i could pay someone to do it for me instead (<-has 0 connections)#hm. maybe i should’ve tried to socialise more in school. maybe i’d have met a p.shop guy or two lmao#oh well. ig it’s video tutorial time… maybe… i hope i don’t fall asleep~~~~ bc it’s for asuna….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#in any case!!!! my mind and productivity has been completely ruined by thoughts on my newfound doomed crackship of asuna x sena#like it’s a ship that could go wrong in so many ways (whether asuna gets with sena or not) and im just. ✨thoughts✨ yk???#i love the concept of rivals/enemies to lovers asumona but. like. asusena. yk.#like picture this: pov you just realised that your loving gf’s sister is the same newbie idol you’ve been unfairly antagonising and such#a n d knowing how strong sena’s sisterly love for mona is… yk??? doomed crackship is ✨doomed✨#aighhtttt ok im done with asuna thoughts for the day i s w e a r#(though ngl if they somehow end up giving asuna a cv and she somehow turns out to be ✨e m i t s u n✨ of honoka-chan fame (very unlikely)…)#(…i will pass on in ✨peace✨ idk i just think her powerful yet soothing voice would suit asuna (<-fell back into ll phase))#o k o k im done fr this time i s w e a r anyways stan asuna frusu ok bye

I'm a registrar for a school. There's a shit ton of paperwork and information collection that is required by the state for licensing purposes.
I'm basically in charge of purgatory for parents who want their 3 year old in school, but refuse to read the instructions for the required forms. They must fill them CORRECTLY before I can enroll their student.
never forget the universal rule of the order of things: People Will Not Read It
#the amount of back and forth with these parents#Thank you for applying to [school name redacted]. before we can proceed with payment to secure your placement#the following items in your application must be updated#cue CVS length checklist of items they submitted incorrectly#but the instructions were already in the application and on the forms if they had only bothered to read them#its so bad i made a 10 minute video tutorial walking them through all the paperwork#and telling them WHY we need certain pieces of information#Your application will be returned to you for editing and resubmission if you do this incorrectly#the more times i have to return something to you#the less likely you are to save a spot before we fill up and start waitlisting#if it says “all fields required” i fucking meant it#i will return your application until you get it right#bless the minority of parents who read the instructions and turn in everything correct the first time#you go to the top of the list#i want you enrolled bc you are going to makr all future interactions so much easier#“but i don't want to give you XYZ information”#okay#then dont enroll here#that info is a basic requirement for safe guarding your child#do you think i give your this huge application packet for fun?#do you think i like reviewing all the forms and the back and forth with you to get it all right?#fuck no#im so tired#i want you to want us to keep your kid safe#ive spent the last 3 years of my life simplifying these forms to make it as easy and clear as possible for you#there is no fine print#its all clearly laid out#do the bare minimum#i beg you

some advice i have for future computer science students
as soon as you learn data structures & complexity, run, don’t just walk, RUN to leetcode while the knowledge is still fresh in your mind. your entire career and whether you’ll get a well-paying job vs an average paying job depends on how good you are at leetcode.
build as many projects as you can, and i’m not talking tutorial projects that take a few hours, i’m talking big projects. working on a project for a month or two will get you really far.
if you don’t have an internship, do not waste your summers, learn new technologies, languages, concepts and build projects you can put in your cv.
try to participate in hackathons and coding competitions. it’s okay if you fail, but you’ll learn a lot.
learn how to read documentation. most tutorials don’t even cover a quarter of what a language, framework or software has to offer. the sooner you make reading documentation a habit, the better it is. and yes i know, documentation is long and hard to read. my advice is only read the sections that are relevant to you in the moment. something i also personally do is look at the code examples at the same time as i am reading the paragraphs, it really helps easily absorb the information.
try not to use chatgpt. and if you do, then at least use it for stuff you know you can do yourself and will be able to correct if the bot gets it wrong. using chatgpt is a very slippery slope and the more you use it the less you learn.
the math is important. math teaches you how to reason and how to develop better logical thinking. just because you don’t see yourself using the xyz theorem you’ve learnt anytime in the future doesn’t mean the math is useless.
be prepared to get comfortable with erros, issues, bugs and just problems in general. you’ll be coding 30% of the time and debugging 70% of the time (i’m exaggerating but sometimes it feels like this is the case lol), and that’s okay, it’s how we learn and the sooner you embrace it the better. if you’re someone who easily gets frustrated, then this is a heads up.
learn as you go. there is no such thing as waiting until you know everything before you start on a project. the only way and the best way to learn in this field is practice, so build, build, and build.
these are all the ones i could think of for now. feel free to comment your thoughts and questions <3

We're not people anymore—we're pixels, posturing avatars in a never-ending gladiator match of validation. Each tap, each swipe, another offering to the algorithm gods. Welcome to the feed, baby. Step right up. Strip yourself down to marketable traits and watch the likes flood in like dirty money through a cracked Vegas slot.
The feeds are everything. The feeds are nothing. They're just human vending machines now—stick a coin in, out pops someone’s trauma, their tits, their kid’s birthday, their dog’s death, their hot take on NATO, their #GRWM grief routine. It’s all content. All of it. And goddamn it if we’re not feeding each other into the beast with smiling faces and monetized hashtags.
Political leaders don't debate—they stream. War criminals with ring lights and branded hoodies. Soldiers of the dumb leading armies of dopamine addicts. Left, right, center? Nah. It’s all just teams now. Just jerseys. And behind the jerseys? Content creators. Megaphones with egos. Opinions wrapped in sponsored segments.
And TikTok? That’s the town square where Shakespeare got replaced by someone lip-syncing about their break-up while bouncing in yoga pants. Instagram is just soft-core capitalism—filter your face, filter your life, but don’t you dare filter your reach. Got a modeling gig? Great. But make sure you clock in at CVS this weekend because fame don’t cover rent unless it’s viral.
Facebook? Like a community notice board run by madmen and bots. Join a group? Sure. Want to bond over asbestos? Enlighten your soul with naked yoga and essential oils that cure cancer? It's all there. Fifty million dopamine churches, each one with its own gospel, its own snake oil priest.
And X—oh, X. A cesspool dressed up in silicon armor, run by a man-boy who thinks he's Tony Stark but acts like a bored Reddit mod with a God complex. Every take is a flame war. Every thread a minefield. And we keep scrolling through the carnage, thumbs twitching like lab rats on speed.
Scroll. Scroll. Scroll. There’s a plane crash. A school shooting. A fucking cat wearing sunglasses and playing piano. A celebrity redemption arc. A breakdown. A comeback. A murder. A make-up tutorial. A ghost sighting. An alien. A child dancing at a funeral while someone vlogs their grief.
We’re in a constant state of voyeurism and exhibitionism, both at once. The orgy of self-exposure, the bloodsport of public opinion. You want private content? Pay up. You want the truth? Scroll past it. You want peace of mind? You’re in the wrong century.
This isn’t a society anymore. It’s a contest. A rat race on LSD where the finish line keeps moving and the prize is a poisoned trophy.
So here’s my message, not that they’ll hear it—too busy counting followers, likes, clout. To the influencers and the brand consultants, to the blue checkmark prophets and the dopamine pimps:
Fuck off.
Give me back sanity. Give me back privacy. Give me back a world where your value wasn’t measured in engagement metrics and trending hashtags.
We’re drowning in noise. And somewhere deep down, someone still remembers silence.
But not today.
Because the feed’s still scrolling.

Writing About The Codeblr Community
Sunday 22nd October 2023
I am making an article about us! Well, about the coding community on here (#codeblr)!
I got advice from a frequent writer on Medium that I should write about something I am passionate about and to find out what exactly, she said "What topic would you talk about for hours in front of an audience?" and honestly it would be Tumblr, but more especially about the Codeblr community!
⬇️ Below for more information + how you can help! ⬇️
I've made some notes on what I want to talk about. It's still not complete as I made the notes around midnight last night so I was a bit tired whilst I was typing but I will take time to talk to people, plan the various topics I want to cover properly and get enough information!
🤔 What's my aim with writing the article?
To shed light to the community and the hard work everyone has put into their codeblr/studyblr blogs. From people sharing resources, to those who share their programming progresses. Someone asked me time ago about sharing their codeblr blogs on their resume/CV and on other social media platforms - if people can share their YouTube, Twitter, Instagram account on coding, why not their Codeblr blog? Your Tumblr blog is just as worthy as someone sharing on Twitter. Plus it's nicer and more welcoming here~!
Anyhoo, if you see your name in the list, I will ask permission to mention you! I won't force it or anything.
🔍 Questions for those who want to be involved!
I would greatly ask if anyone wants to be in the article, I would love to ask you about your own experience. I try my best to follow as many codeblr blogs as I can (because I love seeing that kind of posts on my feed). The questions if you want to answer (not all if you don't want to):
Why did you choose to share on Tumblr rather than the other more popular social media platforms?
Do you prefer it/Why do you like the Codeblr community?
How long have you been a member of Codeblr, and how active are you in the community?
In what ways has Codeblr contributed to your learning and growth as a coder?
Are there specific resources, tutorials, or discussions on Codeblr that have been especially beneficial to you?
Have you participated in any notable collaborations or group projects with other Codeblr members?
How do you view the importance of diversity and inclusion within Codeblr?
Have you observed efforts within the community to foster an inclusive environment?
✨ Thank you so so so much for reading, if you can't help then that's a-okay! Watch out for the article being posted on my Medium account - I'll make a new post on here when I do publish it! Fingers-crossed it's an actual good read~!

Another poster! It's finally the semester break and I have a ton of time to do anything (kinda).
Fun fact, when I first made posters I was really motivated by Texturelabs, who have free textures and free YouTube tutorials. So a lot of my early poster is me practicing a video from them. One poster = one technique. And then after a while, I get the hang of it and try mixing up techniques. Today I watch another video that I have been wanting to try for a while... and I made this poster! I learned that I DO NOT know by heart most Photoshop shortcuts, lol. I did write that I am advanced in Photoshop on all my CVs, so fake it til you make it I guess!

📁 What is a, "Reclist?"
A reclist, is short form for, "recording list." This is what you will be reading in order to create your UTAU. Reclists come in many different recording formats, so let's talk about the various configurations that UTAU use!
CV "Consonant-Vowel," this is one of the more common formats as it is very easy to record and highly recommended for beginner users.
VCV "Vowel-Consonant-Vowel," another common format but has a large learning curse for the user. This format is also known as, 連続音 *(Renzouku) or! Continuous sound. With the continuous recording style, you are able to achieve a sound source with smooth transitions.
CVC "Consonant-Vowel-Consonant," this format is often used for other languages, for example, Russian, Korean, or German.
CVVC "Consonant-Vowel-Vowel-Consonant," a popular format as of late, CVVC builds of the standard CV configuration, with more transitions.
VCCV "Vowel-Consonant-Consonant-Vowel," this format is often used for recording English voice banks.
Honorable mentions would be C+V, I have come to recognize this format recently, and see great potential in it! I will update this post with more information on it in the future.
With all this said, there are more configurations contributed by other users. The ones I listed above are the most common configurations you will find.
For this tutorial series, I have geared all provided materials towards beginners. So we will be going through the process of making your first CV (consonant-vowel) voicebank with added VVs (vowel-vowel). With the additional vowels, you will obtain smooth transitions in between vowels. Do not worry, it is not difficult at all! Below is a direct link to my personal CV-VV recording lists.

Yeah beauty sponge is the same thing, beauty blender is a brand (like how band-aid is a brand of bandage but we all just use the term)! Get a cheap one at CVS or Five Below, get it wet in a sink and squeeze it out until it gets bigger and softer, apply the foundation either directly on your face or on your hand and then blend it out with the sponge! There are also lots of incredible beginner tutorials on YouTube :)
got it! yeah I mostly just use my fingers atm when I put on any makeup but I've not been aiming for a professional look before now....
