“Mother, I crave violence,” a small child interrupts the video call, practically clambering up into Nightingale’s chair. They look around five or so, with white hair and red eyes. Albino perhaps? 

“Ah, apologies, let me take care of this real quick,” Nightingale turns the microphone off when he gets a few acknowledging noises, picking the small child up and moving them from the room. 

“Cute kid,” Barry acknowledged from behind his coworker’s head, having been helping move things. Actually, the kid looked kind of familiar, though from where, who knew. Hard to remember everything with how fast his thoughts usually went. “I didn’t know Nightingale was a father…” 

Then again the specialist was notoriously private, and set most meetings online thanks to some sort of medical conditions. So he supposed it would make it easier to be a stay at home dad if he was there already…

I can finally say the update is here!! I'm sorry it took me so long, especially given how short it is... A lot of that had to do with real life stuff slowing my progress down unfortunately.

I did also decide to end the chapter in an earlier place than originally intended, and have moved the later content to the start of chapter 5. It's not a huge amount that was moved, but given the chapter length I do still feel somewhat bad about it...

I sincerely hope all of you enjoy it regardless!! And please do let me know if you run into any bugs or other issues. I did my best when it came to bug testing but there's always a chance I missed something.

I think unfortunately I like the idea of drawing a webcomic a lot more than actually writing it.

So unless I stumble across someone who likes the idea of writing a webcomic a lot more than actually drawing it, this idea is gonna be put back in the closet indefinitely.

I saw this video on Twitter yesterday and thought I'd share, because it has something really cool about Boothill that I had never noticed before: how he handles the recoil of his pistol!

The video isn't in English, but you can get the gist of it pretty well just by watching. There are three characters so far who use guns- Bronya, Topaz, and Boothill. Bronya and Topaz, both normal humans, will get knocked backwards by the recoil. It's not by very much, but it becomes pretty noticeable when you mash the basic attack button in the overworld map. It's enough to move them over the line on the floor in the video.

Boothill on the other hand- you can see him jolt from the recoil, but he isn't actually knocked back at all! The transcript of the video mentions this being due to his cyborg body and having a better center of gravity, which is really cool! I love seeing more concrete evidence of what he gained with the loss of his human body, and how it helps him in combat and his Hunt for revenge. It kinda makes you understand more why he went through with it, and why he considers it worth the heavy price he paid.

HELLO!!! i have a question, but since i'm here, i wanted to wish you well and say i really love your writing! i haven't gotten a chance to sit down and articulate everything in as much detail as i'd like, but your ideas are always so damn cool and you've got such a nice flow to your writing that really makes readers feel present in the scene... agh. i can't wait to have the time to dissect it. but yes, onto the question: i know these were more like gag comics, but i was wondering if you would mind if someone wrote a fic that included that specific premise of "an artifact that feeds on secrets" for something more serious? or, if you'd write it yourself? (which would also be super cool! i'd love that, if you found a way to work it into something) ... just wanted to check! i don't really know the general courtesy with this stuff lol

Yeah, I suppose you could say that! Both RED and BLU alike have about 5 or 6 massive underground bunkers/factories scattered across the globe entirely dedicated to creating these clones. Obviously, they're secret. I'm very unoriginal, so I just made the clone test tube babies, because I don't really know any other way clones could be made?? These big underground facilities are scientist safe havens! Just imagine: biology teacher by day, and evil clone scientist by night where you can practically do whatever experiments you want. You're living the dream of every mad scientist out there!
