So I went on vacation from work so I haven’t been doodling, but I did take the time to reference this image of Cross.
He came out looking more flustered than angry, so I added a blush and now he’s cute :)
I also didn’t realize his straps were his straps until after I made it look like a hoodie line and then questioned by he has two hoods on. Oops. Mans is cold I guess lol 😂
Cross belongs to Jakei of course!!

Weird Brain Hacks That Help Me Write
I'm a consistently inconsistent writer/aspiring novelist, member of the burnt-out-gifted-kid-to-adult-ADHD-diagnosis-pipeline, recently unemployed overachiever, and person who's sick of hearing the conventional neurotypical advice to dealing with writer's block (i.e. "write every single day," or "there's no such thing as writer's block- if you're struggling to write, just write" Like F*CK THAT. Thank you, Brenda, why don't you go and tell someone with diabetes to just start producing more insulin?)
I've yet to get to a point in my life where I'm able to consistently write at the pace I want to, but I've come a long way from where I was a few years ago. In the past five years I've written two drafts of a 130,000 word fantasy novel (currently working on the third) and I'm about 50,000 words in on the sequel. I've hit a bit of a snag recently, but now that I've suddenly got a lot of time on my hands, I'm hoping to revamp things and return to the basics that have gotten me to this point and I thought I might share.
1) My first draft stays between me and God
I find that I and a lot of other writers unfortunately have gotten it into our heads that first drafts are supposed to resemble the finished product and that revisions are only for fixing minor mistakes. Therefore, if our first draft sucks that must mean we suck as writers and having to rewrite things from scratch means that means our first draft is a failure.
I'm here to say that is one of the most detrimental mentalities you can have as a writer.
Ever try drawing a circle? You know how when you try to free-hand draw a perfect circle in one go, it never turns out right? Whereas if you scribble, say, ten circles on top of one another really quickly and then erase the messy lines until it looks like you drew a circle with a singular line, it ends up looking pretty decent?
Yeah. That's what the drafting process is.
Your first draft is supposed to suck. I don't care who you are, but you're never going to write a perfect first draft, especially if you're inexperienced. The purpose of the first draft is to lay down a semi-workable foundation. A really loose, messy sketch if you will. Get it all down on paper, even if it turns out to be the most cliche, cringe-inducing writing you've ever done. You can work out those kinks in the later drafts. The hardest part of the first draft is the most crucial part: getting started. Don't stress yourself out and make it even harder than it already is.
If that means making a promise to yourself that no one other than you will ever read your first draft unless it's over your cold, dead body, so be it.
2) Tell perfectionism to screw off by writing with a pen
I used to exclusively write with pencil until I realized I was spending more time erasing instead of writing.
Writing with a pen keeps me from editing while I right. Like, sometimes I'll have to cross something out or make notes in the margins, but unlike erasing and rewriting, this leaves the page looking like a disaster zone and that's a good thing.
If my writing looks like a complete mess on paper, that helps me move past the perfectionist paralysis and just focus on getting words down on the page. Somehow seeing a page full of chicken scratch makes me less worried about making my writing all perfect and pretty- and that helps me get on with my main goal of fleshing out ideas and getting words on a page.
3) It's okay to leave things blank when you can't think of the right word
My writing, especially my first draft, is often filled with ___ and .... and (insert name here) and red text that reads like stage directions because I can't think of what is supposed to go there or the correct way to write it.
I found it helps to treat my writing like I do multiple choice tests. Can't think of the right answer? Just skip it. Circle it, come back to it later, but don't let one tricky question stall you to the point where you run out of brain power or run out of time to answer the other questions.
If I'm on a role, I'm not gonna waste it by trying to remember that exact word that I need or figure out the right transition into the next scene or paragraph. I'm just going to leave it blank, mark to myself that I'll need to fix the problem later, and move on.
Trust me. This helps me sooooo much with staying on a roll.
4) Write Out of Order
This may not be for everyone, but it works wonders for me.
Sure, the story your writing may need to progress chronologically, but does that mean you need to write it chronologically? No. It just needs to be written.
I generally don't do this as much for editing, but for writing, so long as you're making progress, it doesn't matter if it's in the right order. Can't think of how to structure Chapter 2, but you have a pretty good idea of how your story's going to end? Write the ending then. You'll have to go back and write Chapter 2 eventually, but if you're feeling more motivated to write a completely different part of the book, who's to say you can't do that?
When I'm working on a project, I start off with a single document that I title "Scrap for (Project Title)" and then just write whatever comes to mind, in whatever order. Once I've gotten enough to work with, then I start outlining my plot and predicting how many chapters I'm going to need. Then, I create separate google docs for each individual chapter and work on them in whatever order I feel like, often leaving several partially complete as I jump from one to the other. Then, as each one gets finished, I copy and paste the chapter into the full manuscript document. This means that the official "draft" could have Chapters 1 and 9, but completely be missing Chapters 2-8, and that's fine. It's not like anyone will ever know once I finish it.
Sorry for the absurdly long post. Hopes this helps someone. Maybe I'll share more tricks in the future.

Note
ok, so a couple days ago, my boyfriend told me he was poly. Let’s call him K. Now, I thought I had absolutely no problem with that, I myself have been questioning polyamory for a very long time.
so for context, me and K were on a date in a private server in a game (we’re long distance) and C joined us, not realizing we were on a date. We allowed him to third wheel and we all had a bunch of fun.
now, fast forward to the next day, K messages me about wanting to incorporate C into our relationship. We talk for a bit and I thought I was completely fine with starting a poly with him, but there was a little whisper at the back of my mind: “You weren’t a good enough girlfriend, so he needs someone else to fill in the space. Someone better.”
I want him to be happy more than anything, so I shrug it off and agree. We talk to C and wham bam we’re now in a poly. I tried so hard to convince myself I like him in the same way I like K, but.. I couldn’t. I tried to talk to C about it, but I feel like I ruined everything and hurt him. I’ve literally never been in a relationship this long (going on a month and a half, not that long to most people but to me this is crazy cuz my luck is nonexistent) and we haven’t had a single argument or fight or anything.
I’m scared. I know I should’ve said something the moment I had any doubt but I don’t want K to be mad at me for lying, or C to be sad.
now that little voice is screaming “This is your fault. You’re a terrible girlfriend. You should just leave them so C can make K happy. Because you can’t possibly make K happy.”
I have no idea what to do.
Okay, so I had a longer, prettier thing typed up but the Tumbls deleted it. You're getting the quick and dirty version, sorry.
Yeah, you could have been more forthright from the get-go, but 🤷‍♀️you're here now. I don't think everything is ruined necessarily, especially if you're still willing to be friends with C, you're willing to let K and C date without you (and chill with affection between K and C in front of you, etc). Just get on the same page with everyone, explain that you really wanted it to work with all three of you, but its just not working, and that you really want to figure it out because you like them both so much. That last sentence is true regardless of if you're chill with the things mentioned or not.
And then, even though I don't think you're to that point, and hopefully never will be. Heartbreak sucks eggs in hell, and then you're through it and you're fine. This is true for you, it is true of your exes, it is true of any future exes. You will be okay after any breakup, pending some recovery time, and so will everyone else. The more you internalize this belief, the healthier your relationships will be because you'll not be so damn scared of breaking something you can't be yourself. Its a tough thing to learn, but please try.
Additionally, internalize this belief: you will occasionally, accidentally, hurt the people you love. Everyone does. It doesn't mean they're better off without you. Do what you can to make it right and prevent the mistake from happening again, and let it go.
But in the meantime, see if you can't work something out. I don't see why y'all couldn't based on what you said. They're allowed to be bummed and it can still be workable. Best of luck 🍀🫂

I think the other thing to note about Jamil and Azul in general is their leadership styles.
Both are prone to micromanagement. We know Azul takes into account every detail in his lounge. And Jamil also must know everything that is going on at a given party at any moment.
But Azul can delegate. He's in fact fairly good at it. That's why his main payment to a contract is extra labor because he knows how to manage extra labor. Jamil has sooooooo much trouble letting other people help him. If something must be done, only he can do it. Extra labor is just extra trouble bc now more people can make mistakes.
This is also reflective of their childhoods. Kalim is a hopeless, helpless dear and only succeeds through sheer, willful luck that cannot be replicated by anyone else. He can help but you have to trust in his lack of a process. Jamil has like negative trust. He wants a goddamn process please!
Whereas, Jade and to an extent Floyd are pretty dependable. Moooooostly because they find Azul hilarious and decide helping him is more fun than not. And for the most part, they have capabilities. They can wait tables. They can shake people down for money. They can do things that can be replicated by other people. (Maybe not to the same level - but workable at least). Azul can trust them because they do have a stable contract of mutual benefits.
Also, I do believe Jamil prefers to coast. It's part of how he acts outside of Kalim who is basically his personal pressure cooker. If he can get away with things using only his natural talent and minimal effort, fucking go for it. One of the reasons he resents Kalim so much is that if Jamil had a choice, he wouldn't work a day in his life. He would travel around the world, free as a bird.
Azul would die if he isn't managing fifty projects at once. He likes work. He likes effort. Given the option between a vacation and a business conference, Azul already has a badge and three meetings with shareholders. Azul is the hustle culture.
Of course, Jamil will work given the necessity (again Kalim). Or if his own natural talents aren't enough, he's spiteful enough to put his back into something and really go for gold because silver is for quitters. But... He's gonna bitch about it the whole way.

Grace Under Pressure, Pt. 15
Sheppard and Zelenka have finally reached their destination and they are so close to the other jumper that Zelenka is able to scan it using the instruments aboard theirs. It seems as though Sheppard had been correct and it was McKay and his jumper that the giant fish was circling, having lead them right to it. Just as soon as they have confirmed that it is the other jumper, Sheppard makes at attempt an hailing it.
Tumblr media
Zelenka: Jumper. I have the jumper. The animal's circling around it. Sheppard: Jumper Six, this is Sheppard, come in. Zelenka: According to these readings, it's dead. There's no power. Sheppard: Alright, let's get a grapple on this thing and go home. Zelenka: No, it won't work. Sheppard: Why is that?
They get no response and Zelenka further gives him bad news by informing him that the other jumper is out of power which implies that the internal systems are not working. Further, Zelenka uses the "D-word" and although he does not use it of McKay but of the jumper, we have seen Sheppard overreact to hearing this particular word before. Back in The Siege (S01E20), it had been McKay telling him that the control chair was dead in the sense of being out of power that had pushed him into making the decision to fly the jumper out into the hive personally because he did not think he could bear losing McKay again.
But given that he had made the mistake of thinking that McKay had died when he had not in fact died before and suffered terrible pain as the result of this mistaken assumption, he was not about to do that again. He was going to drag the other jumper up to the surface and see that the man was dead with his own eyes before he would give up on McKay. But again Zelenka tells him that his plan is not going to work and again Sheppard wants him to explain to him why it won't work -- something that he believes he would not need to tell McKay to explain to him, and would certainly not need to tell him twice.
Tumblr media
Zelenka: It's taken on too much water. Sensors indicate even the rear compartment is partially full. The cable can't take the strain. Sheppard: But we can try. Zelenka: No, listen to me. No. It's a matter of simple physics. Sheppard: We're not coming this far without doing something! Zelenka: The shield! We can extend the shield between the two jumpers.
Zelenka does not seem to understand what a thin thread Sheppard is hanging by and hence attempts to act as the science officer, the guy who is trying to tell him what can and cannot be done. Although Zelenka may care about McKay, as much as one can care about their most aggravating colleague, he still seems to be treating this as a science problem where for Sheppard it is anything but. While he does not need sugarcoating of the facts, he could certainly use some empathy from the man sitting next to him -- he could at least try to make the facts sound a little less like there is not a chance in hell McKay could have survived the ordeal. The jumper is dead, there is no power, it is full of water, they cannot use the grapple because the cable cannot take the strain. All of these things may be true but all of that is information that is not going to help him save McKay.
Sheppard needs to know what their options are, not what they are not, and that is the major difference between Zelenka and McKay. McKay tells him what can be done so that he can choose the least bad alternative where Zelenka is telling him that everything he can come up with is impossible to implement. He is trying so hard to keep up hope when he knows that everything seems hopeless. And when Zelenka finally tells him that his argument is with Physics itself, not with him, Sheppard seems to reach his limit, snapping at the other man. He has no intention of leaving without McKay so it is in all of their best interest that Zelenka come up with a workable solution. Sheppard's tone is making it clear that he is not leaving without McKay so Zelenka had better figure it out. And so he does.
Tumblr media
Sheppard: Do we have enough power? Zelenka: Yes. If-if we touch down on the ocean floor to conserve engine power, it should be just a matter of walking between the two jumpers. Sheppard: Alright. I'll get us close.
Sheppard is being responsible here, making sure that they still have enough power to get back up if they try Zelenka's plan of expanding the shield but this is not because he is concerned for Zelenka's life, because he wants to make sure that they will have enough juice to bring back the scientist he had forced to dive down with him. Sheppard is not sparing Zelenka's safety one thought here and he is not concerned for his own safety and ability to return back to the surface either. He wants to know if they have enough power to save McKay, if this is the plan they want to burn out all of their power trying or whether they need to think of something else. Because Sheppard is not leaving the ocean floor without McKay, and that is a fact. And so Sheppard tells him that he will get them close enough to McKay for Zelenka to be able to extend their shield around the other jumper, and there is none that could get closer to McKay than he can.
Tumblr media
McKay: What the hell was that? "Carter": Help. Sheppard: McKay. Griffin. Do you copy? McKay: Sheppard! Sheppard: Hey, buddy! What say you lower your door?
McKay is jolted from what seems to be near-hypothermic lethargy by the other jumper making contact, likely thinking that the noise is made again by the fish because he is just not expecting anyone else to be in the neighbourhood. But Carter is able to tell him what it is before McKay's mind, subconscious or otherwise, has had time to process the information again letting us know that she is not just a figment of his mind. She knows that Sheppard has arrived.
McKay gets confirmation when Sheppard hails him from the outside, and we may note that he hails both of them and that he uses the name McKay here, probably more for Griffin's sake than Zelenka's, although both of them are outsiders to their interpersonal relationship. Griffin represents the military and it is for the military that they need to keep up appearances. And McKay likewise calls him Sheppard, again without the title, which we have seen him call him in public before. That is what they are to each other in public, in front of other people: Sheppard and McKay. But we may also note that just as soon as Sheppard receives confirmation that McKay is alive, he changes address to "buddy" instead. Although we saw him call Ford "buddy" previously when he was trying to appeal to their past camaraderie during the events of Lost Boys (S02E10) and The Hive (S02E11), with McKay his use of this particular term of endearment is more complicated.
There is more distance in his use of "buddy" than there is in his use of "Rodney," and we see this play out very well during The Shrine (S05E04) when, similar to now, Sheppard both wants to let McKay know that he cares about him while keeping him at an arm's length for the simple purpose of propriety -- because addressing a man regressing to a childlike mental state as a lover would have been inappropriate, just as addressing a man that Sheppard believes to be accompanied by a marine serving under him as a lover would be inappropriate now. And so, "buddy" is a compromise. It is the best he can do under the circumstances. It is the most tender thing the can call McKay as long as they are not alone.
Also, what Sheppard tells him here is really important as regards their relationship and where they are currently. Sheppard is asking him to open his door, to lower his walls. Sheppard is asking McKay to let him in even though it is obvious to both of them that he is in anguish. Sheppard is standing on the outside asking to be let in. That is where they are right now.
Tumblr media
McKay: That's-that's probably a bad idea. Sheppard: Listen. Long story short, we've converted the cloak into a shield and extended it around your jumper. I'm standing outside right now. McKay: What? Sheppard: All you have to do is open your door and walk to my jumper. "Carter": I told you they'd come up with something.
McKay is not quite at the same place as Sheppard is, recent events having injured him to the point that he finds it difficult to open up and to trust. He wants to be able, make no mistake about that, but he has been hurt. He is afraid. But what is important here is that even though the two men cannot even see each other here, they cannot read the other's face, Sheppard is still able to communicate with McKay in a way the other man can both understand and appreciate. He is giving McKay exactly the information he needs to be able to make an informed decision.
Also, now that they cannot see each other Sheppard prefaces what he says with "Listen," again emphasizing this need for communication between them. If McKay often tells him to look, then he tells McKay to listen, needing to be heard by the other man, and it had been his trouble hearing the other man out that McKay had had an epiphany about just a moment ago. And what he needs McKay to hear right now is that he is just a boy standing in front of a boy here. The only thing McKay needs to do is to open up and walk to him, and Sheppard is there to take him in his arms -- which is literally what happens here. This is like every romantic dramedy rolled into one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Carter": What? McKay: What if it's not Sheppard? "Carter": What do you mean? McKay: What if it's another one of my hallucinations? What if it's, it's the pessimist in me just wants it all over with?
And although McKay is afraid and unsure, we may note that he wants to open up to Sheppard immediately. We may also note that Sheppard does not actually tell McKay what to do. He tells McKay what he can do and that he will be waiting for him if and when he chooses to do it, but he does not command or order McKay to do anything, and this too is something that has been very consistent in their relationship. Sheppard is not the boss of him and he does not tell McKay what to do, they are a team. And McKay does not have to be told what to do by him because he wants to do anything Sheppard wants him to do. And so he is already on his way to doing the thing that he hopes will lead him back to Sheppard when he is stopped in his tracks by a terrible thought: he is not sure what is real anymore because he is fairly convinced that Carter is not real.
And he knows that if there is one thing that his mind could use to get him to do anything, it is to use Sheppard. If his mind wanted to kill him, it would use Sheppard. If some alien entity wanted him to end his days, the easiest thing would be to make him fantasize that Sheppard was waiting for him at the Pearly Gates. There is literally nothing he would not do for Sheppard, which is precisely what makes him take stock here. Sheppard is the person he most wants to see. Sheppard is the person he had been most hoping would come to get him. Sheppard being outside of his jumper when he is about to die is the thing that is most likely to be a hallucination.
McKay says "another one of my hallucinations" (also confirming that he has had several different kinds here), as though he was just another one among many, when Sheppard is actually the final boss hallucination for him. The easiest way to convince someone of a lie is to tell them something that they desperately want to be true, and for McKay this is it. Sheppard come to rescue him is literally too good to be true for him to believe it.
Tumblr media
"Carter": You heard the shield come on. McKay: Yeah, but I hear you! Sheppard: McKay? What's the hold-up? We need to do this sooner rather than later. This shield ain't gonna hold forever. "Carter": You're minutes away from hypothermia. McKay: I can't tell what's real and what's not! "Carter": Rodney, they're here. They did it. Let them help you.
Carter attempts to convince McKay using rational argument but that does not seem half as appealing or alluring to him than the mere notion that it had been Sheppard outside, that it had been Sheppard who had come to get him. He wanted to believe that it was him so badly that it just made him suspect Carter twice as much as he had before.
McKay still has no idea what she is but it seems that to his senses, she was every bit as real as everything else his senses were telling him, and that was a problem. But this is important: he seems much more tempted by the sudden appearance of Sheppard outside his door than he had been by her at any state of her dress. It is not that he is having to make the choice between going with him and staying here with her, he is held back by wanting it to be Sheppard too much. That is what is happening here. He knows that Sheppard is the only siren that could actually make him drive his ship out into the rocks. And it seems like Lt. Colonel Siren has finally come to claim his life. If some malevolent alien entity wanted him to die, this is precisely how they could get him to do it. And that scares him more than anything. But it is because he wants it to be true so badly that he is willing to take that leap of faith. He has been wanting to see Sheppard so much that he is willing to risk death to see that through.
Tumblr media
McKay: OK. Better stand back, we've taken on a lot of water.
And as he reaches for the lever that he hopes will take him right to Sheppard, note that his first concern is again for other people, not for his own safety. The first thing he does is to make sure is that Sheppard will not be damaged by the water that would come rushing out of the half-drowned jumper. He manages to use what little strength he has left to pull the lever down, hoping that this will finally take him to Sheppard and not to his death. But then he runs into a final snag.

Hello! I have a bit of a situation that I would like your honest opinion on; I've read a lot of your asks and I trust your opinion on this, as I unfortunately delved into reddit initially and that was not a pleasant experience.
I have experience with romantic polyamory, and I'm out to the important people in my life; I'm also married.
Recently, my spouse and I have been talking about how nice it would be to have another partner to love and care for as we do with each other. (Note: we discussed this shortly after we started dating, so it's not something new to us) We've been talking about a long-term triad who we'd like to nest with if the new partner would like to nest with us as well.
We don't have any, in my own opinion, unrealistic expectations of the partner. We don't have any "qualifications" or a "job application" that you would typically find with unicorn hunters.
I've been doing my reading, as I haven't been with multiple people in a couple years and wanted my information on terminology to be up-to-date. I've found that another big issue with unicorn hunters is that they treat their partner like a little secret, introducing them as a friend and such.
Like I mentioned earlier, I'm out of the closet about this, and I'd always introduce my partners as just that, my partners, and I'm sure my spouse would do the exact same.
So would my spouse and I still be considered unicorn hunters just for wanting to hopefully pursue an equal & ethical triad relationship without any expectations whatsoever? Reddit has been so unkind 😅
Thankyou so much for your time.
Absolutely!
Alright, that is a bit of a joke. I like Reddit for a lot of things but their polyamory community is infamously bad. And pretty much all polyamory social media always witch hunts Unicorn Hunters. And not without some good legit reasons. Lots and lots of people get hurt by unicorn hunters. But I have seen lots of people jump to immense conclusions as soon as it is mentioned. I have seen people describe their unique situations only for the replies to completely ignore it, clearly not reading all the way through, just to read a pre-scripted response about how unicorn hunters are bad and they should feel bad.
As you have mentioned, I don't really agree with this. I am a unicorn myself. I like dating couples! I don't feel like I am abused or taken advantage of when I do. Admittedly I have some privilege and advantages there. But regardless I think smart unicorns can effectively date ethical couples.
So my advice is to just be really upfront with any potential partners about what you are looking for. Be honest about limitations. It sounds great that you are open and would introduce them as a real partner. But also be realistic about if the existing couple would have any advantages over the new partner even if that isn't the intention. Make sure the new partner always feels like they have agency and are not trapped. I personally favor open triads to closed ones but that is a decision for all of you to make. Be understanding that a new partner will most likely not like each of you equally at the same pace. They may lean towards one person more. And over time things may shift to lean another way. Your existing relationship will probably go through this too as New Relationship Energy might overpower the old marriage for a time. This is normal and workable. Trying to force everything to always be equal often leads to problems.
Just try your best to be ethical and make everybody happy. Mistakes will be made along the way but they can be worked out. If everybody involved is happy then don't let the internet judge your triad.

On Time Travel
Before I begin, I wish to state very clearly that this is not to be taken as fact or a dedicated primer on the subject. This is my own attempting to sort out the information I learned from Bill on the subject, by writing it out in a clear form. There may be mistakes, inaccuracies, and misunderstandings in this text.
Bill created the Time Capsule system in 1999. This system only allows for the transfer of Pokeballs up to three years into the past, and only within the Kanjoh region. The reasons for this are energy- The further something is moved in time, the more energy it takes. The further it is moved in space, the more energy it takes. And most importantly, the more mass it has, the more energy it takes- The other two are more workable, but the mass-energy requirement increases exponentially.
A single Pokemon in its Pokeball can be sent three years across time with the electricity a Pokemon Center has. Something larger, such as a Machop outside of its ball, would take an entire city's energy for a week to make the same trip.
An adult human would take enough energy to power all of Galar for a hundred years, and they would likely cease to exist in transit. We will get back to that part.
Time is not a straight arrow that can only move one direction. It is simply another axis of movement. We all move through time at one second per second, without accounting for relativity, from past towards future. However, as it is a single axis, movement can be achieved along that axis in both directions. Thinking of it as a fourth spatial dimension can help visualize it. Time's ongoing nature is not an inherent aspect of time, but of the beings that interpret it this way.
According to the Many-Worlds Interpretation, there are near-infinite timelines. Anything that could happen in multiple ways, happens in every possible way in different timelines. Thus, as time moves forward, time branches into infinite possibilities. However, according to Bill, there are two important notes to that.
First, it is not only forward. Time actually branches out in both directions. It branches backwards, such that 'every possibility that could lead to this moment' is a branch. Furthermore, there is a principle he calls 'path of least resistance'.
The same way water moves in space according to the path of least resistance, he says that time follows its own path of least resistance. To move from one instant to the next, things that would require too much change or a change of information cannot happen. Thus, when sending a Pokeball back in time, one does not actually need to worry or account for alternate timelines- By sending things backwards in time, it will branch into the timelines where the reception is possible, by following that path of least resistance.
However, the greatest problem of this is information.
By following the path of least resistance, things that did not exist in the recipient era cannot be sent there. Not just objects, or creatures, but information itself cannot cross the gap. Knowledge would be forgotten, or be scrambled. Discoveries cannot be made.
The key principle to understanding this is that there is no omnipotent, intelligent force overseeing things. Time does not have a guardian which keeps the timeline in order. It is simply a matter of energy- The energy to overcome the 'path of least resistance' to cause a paradox with information does not exist in our world, and possibly not in our universe. Thus, time itself will 'correct' the paradox, by forcing it out of your head. This is because forgetting it is 'possible', and so it would be slid into a timeline where that forgetting does happen.
If forgetting was not possible- If there is simply too much information to be forgotten, that there is simply no way it could possibly be lost- Then there will be no timeline that can receive that time travel. At which point, the outcome is...
Either total cessation of existence, or perhaps something else. A non-timeline. Either way, once this occurred, that information is lost to us, as surely as if it fell into a black hole.
... This is all I could understand. I hope any of you can understand this as well.

listen in the grand scheme of things i'm glad i let myself get back into minecraft content for this. like i haven't touched a minecraft series since like 2014, on purpose, but i saw clips of qsmp in march 2023 and thought, screw it. maybe it's time. and i don't regret it yknow? i saw multilingual server and thought 'that looks AWESOME' and it certainly didn't disappoint. my only regret is that everything went crazy and people logged off RIGHT when everyone finally started relying on the live translations more, which was something i've been dreaming of for months lmfao. all in all, just happy to be here. this stuff gave me new reasons to use my blog.
hell if this is actually an end or even just a pause maybe i can FINALLY write my FUCKING TIME LOOP FIC JESUS FUCKING I'VE BEEN COOKING THAT STUPID FUCKING THING SINCE LIKE MAY LIKE I WAS ON THE FUCKING FIELD AT MY COLLEGE GRADUATION CEREMONY WAITING TO WALK THE STAGE AND GET MY DIPLOMA AND I WAS WRITING THE FIRST STUPID CHAPTER OF IT LIKE GENUINELY BUT I PUT IT ON HOLD BC THINGS KEPT HAPPENING AND I WAS LIKE I SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE BIG PICTURE SO I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY WITH IT PROPERLY BC THE MOST FUN I HAVE WITH TIME LOOP AUS COMES FROM KNOWING EVERYTHING AND MESSING WITH HOW SIMPLE ACTIONS CAN ALTER THE PROGRESSION OF EVENTS AND CHANGE CHARACTER CHOICES LOGICALLY BC THAT STUFF'S COOL BUT I DIDN'T KNOW LIKE THE MYSTERY OF THE FEDERATION OR WHATEVER AND I WANTED TO SEE WHERE THAT WAS GOING SO I COULD SEE WHETHER I WANTED TO TOSS IT OR ALTER IT OR KEEP IT AND SEE NOW I'LL KNOW YKNOW AND NOW I CAN JUSTIFY SHIT LIKE "OH HEY PURGATORY'S HAPPENING IN JUNE THIS TIME BC I WANT THE BREAKFAST TRIO TO EXIST FASTER AND FUCK YOU" WITHOUT IT FEELING TOO WEIRD AND ALSO STUFF LIKE CODE LORE AND ALL THIS OTHER NONSENSE LIKE DAMN WOULD BE PRETTY COOL I MEAN ONE SINGLE FUCKING INTERACTION BETWEEN SLIME AND MARIANA COULD SEND ME CAREENING DOWN A PATH PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT UNIMAGINABLE I COULD MAKE THIS FIC THAT'S BEEN SIMMERING SINCE LAST MAY A REALITY I COULD DO IT THIS COULD FIX ME. THIS COULD FIX ME
but yeah i'm glad i allowed myself to get invested in this server. i think y'all are cool, and i think the admins did amazing with everything they were given even though they shouldn't have been given it the way they were, and the ccs were cool and i'm glad everything happened yknow. maybe things will keep happening and maybe not but yknow what. i became All Powerful. i started watching as someone who knew english and some french and now i am someone who knows english (100%), slightly more french (like 70%), a workable understanding of spanish (like 40%) and a slightly less workable understanding of portuguese (like 20%) they added german to nerf me specifically. they knew i was getting too powerful. yeah, i spent some time as a kpoppie, i have a tiny miniscule understanding of korean (5%) german i have 0 experience with they added german to nerf me and then this happened to nerf me further. make no mistake they cannot stop me. i will become all powerful.
like cmon. if it ends here it was never all bad. i don't even have to use google translate to understand roier shittalking in the chat. i can just read it. i couldn't do that before :D and i can make my chilean friend keysmash bc she's not used to me knowing any spanish at all
we've grown strong over the year, haven't we? i hope we will continue to, no matter what :D

Okay so I've already told how some of the first year with the Third Division goes. Well I got a bit more to tell how that year goes before we go to the others.
First of is how old Kafka is when he got captured. Roughly speaking he is 25 years old the year he is captured, due to being captured in early may. And get to celebrate it with a couple of months with Mina, which was bittersweet to be honest. Which was not much of a celebartion to begin with since Kafka is still very mentally scared and Mina has no idea what to give or make her now kaijufied childhood friend feel happy on this day.
This gives me a workable timetable to how things goes before the main events starts. Especially when it comes to how the public learns of Kafka.
Second, I finally have a name for that damned organization that did all this. Had to use a name generator to actually get the right name since I had hard time deciding with what to go with.
The Mirage Company is a organization that speicalize in inhuman experiments, kaiju research, DNA splicing and much more in the black market and mafia rings. They are know for their humanless treatments to their subjects and many of the crazy and souless types of scientists calls this place home. I'm still working some things out so this is about as much as I can tell at the moment.
Third, when the public finds out about Kafka its when a sudden uknown and large wave of kaijus, all of which is at the 8.0 or over fortitude level, attacks the city. This forces Isao to give Mina the premission to get Kafka out there to stop the wave, given his 9.8 fortitude level makes him a powerhouse that can quickly make mince meat out of the lot of them. Not to mention, thanks to the sword training Soshiro has given Kafka for some time now, the himbo is good at using his 7 sword tails to quickly cut down the numbers at large.
Soshiro and Mina are especially glad for that, as it allows them to focus on the more difficult targets.
Of course, this is not without Kafka wearing a special vest and collar that Okonogi and many of the Third's science department having made to make Kafka look more offical and 'under control'. And make it possible for a small squad to ride on him of necessary. Mina and Bakko especially likes to this whenever Kafka is out with them.
And this is also the time No 9 finds out about Kafka as well. And of the Mirage Company. Things don't goes so well for the latter.
I can imagine Kafka's birthday also being awkward than just bittersweet. The best Mina is able to do would be getting him a gift which offers comfort. Oh and maybe a cake with his favorite flavor.
Mirage Company honestly fits in my opinion. They avoided the Defense Force for a very long time until making the biggest mistake by kidnapping Kafka. Not an easy thing to do.
I can only imagine the public reception upon seeing a kaiju decked out in Defense Force affiliated gear. Meanwhile No.9 is gonna start his Kaiju flavored Cyberman assimilation soon. Although not without messing with Kafka and the Mirage Company.

We are all exhausted today. The rain did not help that. I still enjoyed my day, even if it was stressful at times.
I didn't sleep amazing. I woke up and felt bad. James was having g a hard time too. The big glass bear we keep the sugar in broke and glass and sugar went all over and they had trouble with the oven. They were just really stressed out.
I got dressed and was also not feeling amazing. We would leave the house together and it wasn't as cold. I didn't wear my coat, just my brown fleece. And I had an alright drive in. Even if I wasn't feeling amazing I was alright.
When I got to camp I had my breakfast and got to work finishing my horses for the holiday market tomorrow. This would take a while. It was finishing closing them and then their manes, tails, and eyes. But was fun.
I would be alone at camp for a while. Sarah and Heather came in around 10. We had a really nice discussion about the camp schedule. And some ideas for other programs and things.
Chloe came in and it was fun showing her my horses. She said they were super cute and that made me feel very proud. And soon enough I would finish them!
Once they were done I would get back into working on the schedule. There were some issues, like adding Tipis in and working through horse camps schedule. Chloe sat with me and we talked through what her kids normally enjoy and figuring out the best ways to place different programs.
I had to do a ton of cross referencing. But as I started to create individual schedule for each program and activity I was able to find the mistakes I had made and fix them. I was able to shift some things around and felt really good about how the days were laid out. Felt pretty awesome.
I would find a good stopping point to take a break
Alexi and Lou had come in before noon so they could get Heather and all go to a networking lunch. Elizabeth was out today moving into her new place. Chloe went out to get hay and then lunch. And so me and Sarah were alone.
We went into the attic to make a plan for organizing that next week. Moving some stuff out and away and making it a workable space for senior staff over the summer. We will need more shelving but I think we have a good plan of attack.
After that I would continue working on the schedule. And after going through it a few more times I think I got it. I don't think there is more I can do before someone else looks over it again. I was feeling very good. My back hurts very bad but I felt like I accomplished something and dhag was great.
Heather would come back soon after I was done on my laptop. She told us all about the brunch and how it was hosted by some local unions. She spent a lot of time talking to the carpenters union and there is talks about making a program for guys studying for the carpenters union to come do work at camp. I am so excited about that. Love the unions and would love to have them involved in making camp better.
I would spend my last hour and a half of my day working on some more beading. I finished my house beading and I love how it came out. I'm excited to keep trying new things and learning better ways so I can teach it next year.
It was raining outside. And getting worse by the minute. I would leave right before 4 and headed out into the rainy world.
I needed to go to the craft store to get two more crates for my display for the market tomorrow. I had a nice time looking around. I found a clearance candle that I really liked the smell of. I was struggling to find the exact display I was looking for but I was happy with the two crates I ended up with. One being narrow for my horses. And I got new bags so I can pack things for people if they wanted. Good business practice. I had a nice conversation with the girl at the register and she wished me luck at the market.
Driving home sucked. The rain was like driving through a cloud. It was scary and getting dark. It took a while to get back but I made it home safely.
I carried everything to the house and James was at the door waiting to help me. Love them so much.
They were doing laundry. And I spent the next half hour or so working on my display for tomorrow. I was struggling at first and getting frustrated. But once James came and helped me set up a second table so I could actually visualize it it went a lot smoother. We put some of my stickers on my sign. And I'm pretty happy overall. I have some thoughts for next year's display but I am happy with this right now.
I did some sewing to try some ideas but they weren't working and I got very nauseous all of a sudden. James came and helped me and cut out some small felt bears for me. I did some hand sewing. And I am glad I will have something small to work on while I'm selling tomorrow. Always good to have something to do with my hands.
I would hang out in the couch after we packed up all of my stuff. And Sweetp was there making my allergies go crazy. James made us quesadillas for dinner and they were great. We would hang out on the couch looking at houses. I found a hilarious duplex where the county line goes through the middle of the house and one side is in Baltimore while the other is in Towson. How does that happen?? Hilarious.
My allergies got really bad though and I was having a bad time. I took a shower and it helped a little bit I did not feel great. James came and laid with me. And once my medication started working I felt a little better. I asked James for one of the cinnamon twists I got us at the Dutch market. They misunderstood and made me cinnamon toast. Including having to mix cinnamon sugar. I was confused why they were gone for so long. We had a very big laugh when they realized the misunderstanding. Silly silly husband.
I am ready to sleep now. James is going to come with me to the market to help me get set up before they go to work. And I will be there though the morning. I'm excited. I hope it's fun. And then tomorrow evening we are going to see a house. I hope it's a good time.
Goodnight everyone. Sleep good! Take care!

Step By Step, Shot By Shot:
So progress update, I am done with animating (rough, cleanup and colour) for shot 4, Shot 2 and Shot 3. Now there are things I like and there are things that I am fine with, I have shown them to my peers for now and have gotten their feedback. Keeping everything in my mind, I am going to write my analysis of them here and since I am blogging daily, having a written analysis will imprint the feedback in my mind and avoid similar mistakes in the shots I animate ahead for this film and continue doing the things I like.
Shot 4:
Tumblr media
Now the shadows for the character is going to be taken care of in compositing, it will probably be not as good in quality compared to the shadows for background art but it will do the job, if I had the time I would have added them manually. Now talking about things I sacrificed due to time, You can see the head of the chicken and the human rotating and falling is mainly just a single png that is being rotated, with unlimited time it would probably have been a rotating in all the three axis to show dimensionality but I am choosing the level of animation in my shots depending on the days if a 4 sec shot takes more than 4 days to animate then something is getting cut. In this shot I chose to spend my time animating the character in detail because a simplified version of that would have been just the arm moving up and down in loop as the slices fall down but instead I animated it with realistic movements like the waist moving, head snap and both the arms moving in all three axis, it is more realistic because I believe it brings more life to the animation and helps to establish this restaurant and situation as a real life scenario.
Shot 2:
Tumblr media
Now this is only a 1 sec shot, and it needed to have a body in a certain angle that it is pretty obvious that it is human body even with a quick glance, it cannot be wide shot because this also serves as the build up to the wide shot in shot 4. Also the knife slice should create an impact that makes the viewer curious as to what is happening. Now i could not find any angle that would do both the things mentioned, impactful slice and establishment of body. Which is why I went with the head roll because that complements the emotion we are trying to get with the slice. Now the head roll is bit complex and since it's a one sec animation, I think it's fine that the knife slice is a single png moving. Initially the knife slice was a straight cut but because the shot is a close up, the animation was only accounting for 3 frames which I did not think was enough for the viewer to understand or process the fact that a knife is slicing through a human body, which is why I added a bit of struggle in the slice. I think this shot works but at the end if I have spare time I would like to add few more poses to the slice where after the struggle the grips gets tighter and the wrist gets angled to get ready for a final push.
Shot 3:
Tumblr media
This shot was a poorly planned shot, I spent a lot of time on the hand and animating it and making sure it looked perfect:
Tumblr media
Only to realise later that the hand just gets covered by the chicken, I animated them separately from start to finish, if I had just tested the keyframes together first, this would not have happened, remember it for next time I guess. Now because the chicken head is in focus here I added a bit of rotation to it to give it dimensionality and make the animation look better by making it more dynamic. The one place where I did save time in this shot was the layout because I just reused the background from Shot 4, it does not make perfect sense perspective or proportion wise but since it will be blurred, it does not matter and it looks workable , so I am going ahead with it.

Top 5 Mistakes Homeowners Make When Facing Foreclosure
Dealing with foreclosure is often difficult and emotionally draining, especially if you are uncertain how to proceed. Regrettably, many homeowners take actions that are damaging during this stressful period—errors that can hurt their chances of keeping their home or reaching a workable solution. If you are behind on your mortgage payments or concerned about foreclosure, recognizing these frequent mistakes is crucial.
Here are the 5 most common mistakes homeowners make when facing foreclosure, along with ways to sidestep them:
1.  Delaying Action
Feeling swamped can lead to inaction. Some people think, "If I ignore it, it might vanish." Sadly, mortgage issues do not resolve themselves, and postponing action only narrows your choices.
What to do instead: As soon as you are having difficulties, seek mortgage assistance. The earlier you act, the more options remain open – like loan adjustments, forbearance, or even a complete mortgage overhaul.
2.  Shunning Your Lender
We understand – those letters and calls can be unsettling. But avoiding your lender can speed up the foreclosure process. Most lenders want to cooperate, especially if you take the initiative.
What to do instead: Contact them. Be open about your circumstances. Inquire about your available options. Many lenders have mortgage assistance programs specifically for this purpose.
3.  Putting Your Trust in the Wrong Individuals
In vulnerable times, it is easy to believe enticing promises. Some "foreclosure help" services will request money upfront and then vanish. This happens more often than you would expect.
What to do instead: Work solely with reliable professionals. Look for licensed experts or HUD-approved counselors who do not charge fees in advance. A trustworthy mortgage relief team will guide you through your choices safely—without high-pressure tactics or misleading offers.
4.  Being Unaware of Available Aid
There are legitimate programs—government-backed, non-profit, and lender-led—yet many people do not realize they exist or assume they will not qualify. This is not necessarily accurate.
What to do instead: Do some research or speak to someone knowledgeable. You might be eligible for a mortgage adjustment, a revised repayment schedule, or short-term support to give you some breathing space.
5.  Attempting to Handle Everything on Your Own
This can be the most disheartening mistake we observe – individuals bearing the burden of foreclosure stress without seeking assistance. You do not need to navigate this alone.
What to do instead: Talk to someone who understands what you are experiencing. A mortgage assistance specialist can help you see choices you might have overlooked and support you throughout the process.
Final Thoughts
Foreclosure does not have to be the ultimate outcome. With the proper assistance and swift action, you can safeguard your financial stability and perhaps remain in your home. The main thing is to avoid these typical errors and seek out help with mortgage relief promptly.
Require assistance? Get in touch with our team at Pathway Mortgage Relief for understanding, tailored support, and a clear strategy.

What Is the First Phase of Renovation?
Thinking about remodeling your home? Maybe you’re eyeing a sleek new kitchen, a spa-like bathroom, or a finished basement for extra living space. Whatever your vision, every renovation starts the same way—with the first phase. And trust me, getting this part right makes all the difference.
So, what exactly is the first phase of a home renovation? Let’s break it down.
Planning: The Foundation of Every Successful Remodel
Before a single wall comes down or a cabinet goes up, there’s a whole lot of groundwork to cover. Renovation isn’t just about picking pretty tiles or stylish fixtures—it’s about making informed decisions that align with your needs, budget, and long-term goals.
Here’s where you start:
Clarify Your Goals – Are you remodeling for resale, comfort, or added functionality? A luxury kitchen remodel looks different from a budget-friendly upgrade.
Set a Realistic Budget – Home renovations can be unpredictable. Plan for an extra 10-20% cushion for unexpected costs.
Define Your Must-Haves vs. Nice-to-Haves – Prioritize essentials (such as structural repairs, plumbing, and electrical updates) before splurging on high-end finishes.
Research Permits & Regulations – Local codes and zoning laws matter. Working with a contractor like Waldron Construction ensures compliance from the start.
Find the Right Team – DIY can be tempting, but a professional home remodel architect near you will help avoid costly mistakes.
Planning isn’t glamorous, but skipping it? That’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Design & Concept Development: Bringing Your Vision to Life
Once you know what you want, it’s time to put it on paper—literally. This phase is all about turning ideas into workable designs.
Floor Plans & Layouts – Whether it’s an open-concept kitchen or a basement conversion, the layout should match your lifestyle.
Material Selection – Choosing the right countertops, flooring, cabinetry, and fixtures ensures cohesion and durability.
3D Renderings & Mockups – Many contractors, including Waldron Construction, offer digital previews so you can visualize the result before construction begins.
Timeline Planning – Not all materials arrive overnight. Factoring in lead times for custom millwork, Amish cabinetry, and specialty flooring avoids frustrating delays.
Good design isn't just about aesthetics—it’s about creating a space that works for you now and years down the line.
Pre-Construction Prep: Getting Your Home Ready
Okay, the plans are set, the materials are selected, and the contracts are signed. Now, it’s time to prep your space for the big transformation.
Clearing Out the Space – Kitchen remodel? Time to pack up those cabinets. Basement finishing? Say goodbye to storage clutter.
Setting Up Temporary Living Arrangements – If your bathroom is under construction, where will you shower? If your kitchen is out of commission, how will you cook? Planning ahead prevents headaches.
Ordering Materials & Scheduling Deliveries – Some things, like white shaker cabinets or Pella windows, take longer to arrive. A well-organized contractor ensures materials are on-site before work begins.
Securing Permits & Inspections – Any major structural, plumbing, or electrical work typically requires approvals. Waldron Construction handles this so you don’t have to stress.
This stage is where preparation meets execution. The smoother this phase goes, the faster your renovation moves forward.
Why Waldron Construction?
If you’re in Antioch, Illinois, or anywhere in Lake County, choosing the right contractor can make or break your renovation experience. Waldron Construction isn’t just another remodeling company we specialize in turning dream homes into reality.

The Benefits of Couples Counseling for a Stronger Relationship!
Summary: This blog contains information about the benefits of couples counseling. Under the guidance and mentorship of an expert partner learn to effectively resolve issues and rebuild trust and emotional intimacy.
Relationships don’t work on their own. They require effort, understanding, and communication. There comes a point in life where even the strongest relations require help. Are you in the turmoil of life? Are you finding it tough to navigate the intricacies of your love life? Don’t worry! There is adequate help available in terms of couples counseling. It is a powerful tool that helps both partners in a bond to build a healthier and stronger future together.
For the residents of Springville, Utah, searching for reliable support, Brookside Counseling is here to offer expert guidance. We help couples strengthen their bond and sail through difficult moments with ease.
Improving communication
Why humans are superior to all the beings on the earth? Its for the simple fact that we can communicate! We have the language in which we can express our feelings and desires. The first and foremost thing that a couple do after a fight is to stop talking to each other. We feel that the silence will make the other person realize their mistake. However, it works just the opposite. The silence between the two often leads to an unresolved misunderstanding that causes major issues in the near future.
Our experts at Brookside Springville Counseling, help partners to:
Become active listeners- trying to understand the POV of the other partner without being judgemental
Learn how to express needs without blame or criticism
Understand each other’s perspectives
Strengthen emotional intimacy through open conversations
Regaining emotional intimacy
The usual hustle and bustle of life has negatively impacted many relationships. Due to our hectic schedules most of us don’t have time for ourselves then forget about spending quality time with our partner. This lack of time usually leads to issues of losing emotional intimacy.
Brookside Springville Utah counselors help partners reconnect by paying attention to emotional needs and strengthening intimacy.
Identifying the cause and barriers that are the main reason behind lost emotional connect
Regaining lost trust and security in the relationship
Provide meaningful activities and rituals that add to emotional intimacy between partners
Improve affection and appreciation for each other
Resolving conflicts
Conflicts, arguments, and fights are part of a healthy relationship. But they are only good to the extent that there is a happy ending to them. If conflicts remain unresolved, they can damage the relationship. Under the guidance and support of a qualified therapist, the couple learns to rightly resolve conflicts. This may include:
Recognizing what upsets you and the feelings behind it
Using “I feel” statements instead of blaming others
Finding solutions that work for both side
Staying calm and in control during arguments
Rebuilding trust
Trust is the foundation of a relationship! If it is broken, it can never be fixed. However, there are many circumstances where there are chances to have a workable relationship after an incident of dishonesty, infidelity, or broken promises.
The counselors help you in rebuilding trust lost trust, if it is possible in your case. Otherwise, they will help you how to break free from a negative and toxic relationship. And under their mentorship, you will learn to live with dignity and confidence!
The Bottom Line!
At Brookside Counseling, our services are not limited to couples counseling. But we are a group of expert counselors, providing a variety of services, helping you navigate the complexities of life effortlessly. For more information regarding our services, feel free to contact us!

Find the Word Tag
Tagged by the amazing @scienceoftheidiot , I am hereby tasked with finding a couple of specific words in my WIPs and posting them on here :D The words were: dull, dirty, blind, broken and frown.
I found most of these in the WIP I am currently working on, and since that one is already well past 20k, I decided that I'm hurting no one if I post three words for the same WIP.
Dirty
“I know.”
And that is all the acknowledgement he gets, before Ben vanishes in the second part of the room to claim his own bed and own shower. Now all that is left is Adam. With his backpack and dirty sneakers, slowly unraveling what the fuck went down in the lobby.
Did he make a mistake?
Blind
Except for Adam.
Who always has something kind to say.
Apparently Ben has superior bird spotting abilities (Adam’s totally right about that one, maybe Ben should pick up bird watching as a hobby. It’d certainly be better for his attention span than TikTok) and nobody’s better at blind taste testing sweets. He also always goes out of his way to compliment Ben’s taste in literature, or to comment on how clever and funny he thinks Ben is.
If anything, Adam’s bad for Ben’s ego.
Broken
And why the fuck does Adam care?
(that’s a question that’s plagued him since he was a little boy, restless in a way his mother couldn’t satisfy, school couldn’t quench. He’s always cared too much. About whether things are fair, or rules followed, or laws broken. He’s been called annoying over it, and a pissant and a freak and a sell-out. It’s also what got him into Yale.)
(Maeve always says he’s the worst person to play boardgames with and yet she continues to play and laugh with him anyway – he and Ben have only ever played checkers)
He won’t find an answer to any of that today (he’s not even really sure what day it is anymore), so, instead he heads into the bathroom.
Now this is all I could find in this WIP -- but there's about twenty currently open on my laptop, so fear not.
Hidden Truths and Open Doorways was definitely another goldmine :D
Frown
“Yes, the boys stumbled upon what we call a Stargate. It is a gateway that connects two or more end locations with the help of something we call the Einstein-Rosen bridge. Usually powered by large energy sources, the first of the two locations locks the chevrons, the symbols correlating to their designation into the Stargate, in, which – after all seven chevrons have been chosen in the correct order – creates a wormhole allowing for quick instant travel across large amounts of space.”
Disbelief and confusion greeted Sam’s explanation, the concept of a “Einstein-Rosen bridge” obviously not something the locals were familiar with. Mustang was just about to open his mouth – again! – when Edward interrupted him:
“Remember when I sent you that article of the theoretical possibilities of instant transportation in non-traditional alchemy?”
“Yes.” With a frown, Mustang agreed.
“It’s like that, only workable. Unlike the theories on teleportation that Amestrian alchemists have come up with so far – and I really need to study Alkehestry, to see if the Dragon’s Pulse… doesn’t  matter – unlike what we’ve theorized so far, a Stargate condenses space and matter onto itself in a way that turns the distance between two physical end locations to basically nothing. It’s like a doorway, just filled with impossible amounts of energy and possibilities.”
And from the same fic
Dull
It was the evening of their third day out from Xerxes, the world an endless sea of bright blue and waves of golden yellow. Jack was sick of the desert, his eyes tired not just from the relentless travel, but also the strange monotony of riding through sand followed by more sand followed by more sand.
It wasn’t that he couldn’t cope with this kind of territory, no, he’d served in the Middle East and fought on over a dozen desert planets before, but not even experience could dull the boredom and exhaustion of traversing rough terrain. On horseback, no less.
Well, this was fun :D
Thank you so much again for tagging me, and I shall tag @fleur-de-violette @babblingbookends and @selkienight60 (if you're feeling up for it <3 )

Important Stages in the Life Cycle of Embedded Product Development
The development of embedded products is now essential to practically every gadget we use on a daily basis. Mobile phones, household appliances, medical devices, and other items are among them. The demand for creating IoT products and specialized embedded solutions has skyrocketed. The development process for these products and applications becomes extremely complex and requires domain expertise because of the constantly changing landscape of new age technology and applications.
Tumblr media
The product development life cycle for IoT and embedded products includes 4 key stages:
Planning & Analysis
Designing
Implementation
Launch
Stage 1 - Planning and Analysis
Any product's development life cycle begins with precisely defining the idea for the product or application and turning it into a workable concept. We now need to complete the following tasks: (a) The Need or Purpose – Every process begins with a specific goal for which a brand-new solution must be developed. Occasionally, re-engineering an existing solution to add robust functionality or release a new version may be necessary. Comprehending the necessity is crucial. (b) Target Audience: After defining the need, you must concentrate on determining your target audience since it is essential to comprehend the identity of the end users. This gives us the information below:
End users/ customers
Features of your end users such age, profession, gender etc.
In what scenarios and circumstances your end users need your product
How much benefits
(c)Knowing What You Need - The best embedded product development focuses on finding solutions to particular problems, so you should know what you need in terms of functionality. Prior to starting development, make sure all requirements are satisfied. (d) Working on Core Requirements - When conducting research on your target market, pay close attention to the information that needs to be gathered in order to define the functional model, the goal of the product, and the hardware and software components that are required. (e) Rivals – Learning about the experience of your competitors is crucial during the planning and analysis stage. Both their mistakes and experiences can teach you something. This assures success and aids in using a tried-and-true method for product development.
Stage 2 - Designing Embedded Product Development
At this point, you should concentrate on the prototype's design and select a development strategy that will allow you to successfully execute the product idea within the constraints of time and money. The strategy focuses on: (a) Architecture: The first step in this process is to create the product architecture, which takes into account the hardware and software components and how they work together to guarantee the target device's functionality and performance. (b)Technical Resources: To create a proof-of-concept model that will demonstrate the idea's viability, you can select various tools and technologies.(c) Kits for Development - To construct embedded and Internet of Things prototypes, employ hardware platforms, development kits, or boards with integrated software, like:
Application Processor Kits
Breakout Boards
Processor Modules
Microcontroller Kits
Pay attention to the following key features, when choosing a development board:
Connectors to bring out microcontroller pins
Communication peripherals and on-board sensors (fuel sensors, accelerometers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.)
(d)Software Development Tools – You have to choose embedded software development tools such as:
Languages (C, C++, JavaScript, Python)
Operating systems (RTOS, Linux)
IDES, SDKs (WebStorm, Qt Creator, PyCharm), debuggers and compilers
(e)Development Team – Assembling development team includes technical specialist such as:
PCB Layout Engineer
Hardware Engineer
Mechanical Engineer
Embedded Software Engineer
Stage 3 - Implementation
• It's time to bring your idea to life. Enhancing the current product solution's quality and getting it ready for production are the goals of this implementation phase. • (a)Alpha Prototype: After integrating the hardware components of your device onto a printed circuit board, you receive an alpha prototype. This raw product has functional issues and needs to be adjusted. • (b)Beta Prototype: You will receive a beta prototype by adding new features to the product and fixing any bugs.
Stage 4 -Launching Product to Production
• This is the point at which actual products can go into production. The boards can be shipped to users after they have been assembled and tested. Post-production support and maintenance are essential tasks in the embedded product development life cycle.
