This is a Adam character question. Do you think Adam was really a misogynistic? All we see him around is women, his best friend was a woman, he took orders from women, ect. While he did call women the b word, that really had nothing to do with his character since everyone in that show swears.

I don't even personally think he was rude to Lilith because she was a woman. But because the angles told them what their roles were and Adam was probably like. "Alright, do whatever you say!" But Lilith just wasn't having it. 😭

See this is a hot debate, and I feel like not even the writers are really sure about it lol. They wrote him being around a lot of women and, like you said, showing like a decent amount of, I guess respect? towards them. But then I think he undoubtedly comes across as someone who *would* be misogynistic.

There are a bunch of threads on Twitter talking about how no!!! Adam is not misogynistic!!! He says Lute is badass and this and that!! And I feel like we forget that misogyny can look differently and even manifest differently in people.

I think if you talked more to Adam about the "concept" of women, he'd spout some pretty awful stuff LOL, mostly he would just be reciting back a lot of classic misogynistic comments that he's heard and that he's SUPPOSED to believe, that also align with his fuckboy persona or whatever you wanna call it. And of course, let's not forget how he calls women bitches and, probably worse, the c word LOL so there is DEFINITELY SOME ISSUES THERE I'D SAY

However! Yeah, he definitely seems to at least value Lute and the exorcists, he thinks they're capable killing machines, and he does take orders from his boss who is a woman. But I think that's where Adam doesn't even realize these women break the "mold" he's supposed to believe, and thus, doesn't even think of them as "women". He knows they're women, of course, but in his mind they're "his girls" or "the exorcists" and "my boss/my manager/Sera". It's like he has misogynistic views about the idea of women, but when it comes to the actual women he knows, he sees them as much more than that.

It could honestly also just be that he's a misogynist only to the women he doesn't like lmao, which is a very real thing that happens in the world lol

I think there are arguments for both sides and I have somewhat of a mixed view on it, I'm not married to either position, I tend to write Adam as just a general dick in all ways possible LOL. The only thing I don't think he is is racist because that's personally funny to me LMAO.

Mystic Messenger Characters Comforting a Gender Dysphoric Reader Part 1

For clarification: he/him pronouns for reader! The reader is a trans man.

Yoosung

That’s okay he can set up his games in your room.

He knows what gender dysphoria is, he went through a gender questioning phase at one point, so he’ll try to take your mind off of it.

He sets up a game with a customizable MC and tells you to make the avatar with him.

He tries to distract you as best he can, using games and food to keep your attention on anything else.

He repeatedly tells you he loves you throughout the day, forgetting about any college work he needed to do in favor of cuddling up with you in your bed and having fun.

He’ll hold you in his lap if you want, giving you his hoodie.

He’ll always offer up anything in his closet and drawers for you to wear if your want to.

He’ll talk to you about different trans characters he knows of in games and their backstories to show you some representation.

You’ll have to explain it to him. If you don’t want to them he looks it up himself, feeling that whatever is making you so upset to the point of not leaving your room is very much too important to task to someone else to research.

He, unfortunately, can’t cancel his work day and makes you aware of this with a kiss to the head and a promise to be back as soon as he can be.

While he is at work and between meetings he texts you as he does research on gender dysphoria, asking you if you’d like to talk to a therapist about it, if you want to go shopping for a binder on his next day off, and if you’d want him to help you pay for any hormones and surgeries in the future.

He’ll offer to take you suit shopping as well, saying his tailor can do amazing things to give you whatever shape you want.

He also offers you his wardrobe. His clothes may or may not fit you as some of them are fit to his specific body but if there is something in there you want to try on he has no problems letting you.

He asks Jaehee to go get you a trans flag and deliver it to the apartment while he does work.

He tries his best to comfort you through gifts.

He’ll also try physical affection through kisses. Lots… and lots… of kisses.

Jumin Han was tired. Work was exhausting and he wanted nothing more than to sit in bed with you and listen to your voice. On his way into the door of your shared apartment he hears Elizabeth the 3rd jumping off something in the distance and starting to make her way towards him, as she always does when he gets home. He puts all his stuff down and feed Elizabeth, petting her head, before making his way to your bedroom. When he sees you it’s like his entire body relaxes. He undresses and puts on his pajamas, asking you how your day eases

chapter 40 

i know they’re not interacting in this panel but i still want to bring it up.  i’m gonna give some context to this scene in case someone needs to jog their memory.  so basically, mei’s ability to command crows is what allows the staff to observe the students from afar.  however, gojo notices that there’s lack of footage where yuuji is and asks mei why that’s so.  she tells him that they’re animals at the end of the day so she can’t control what they look at.  he doesn’t believe her so he asks her whose side she’s on (for yuuji’s execution vs against yuuji’s execution) to which she responds with, “whose side?  i’m on the side with money, of course.  there’s no value in something that can’t be bought since you can’t exchange that for money.”  in other words, she’ll always choose the side that offers her more money because she doesn’t care about how morally “correct” or “incorrect” something is.  it’s not worth fighting for a cause that doesn’t benefit her in the long run which is why she views things that are unable to be bought (friendships, relationships, favors) as useless - they can’t be exchanged for money.  it’s clear that gojo knows she’s not on his side because he replies with, “spoken from experience!” or “i wonder how much!” (translation varies).  he says it out loud to perhaps let gakuganji know that he’s onto him.  i find it interesting how utahime is in the panel as well with a “?” to express her confusion at his words.  let’s overthink dissect that.  why is she there in the first place? if the message was to let gakuganji know that gojo is aware of his ulterior motives then a panel with gakuganji and gojo would have sufficed.  why add utahime with a question mark? 

here’s a personal headcanon of mine that makes no absolute sense, but who cares? it makes me happy LOL.  so let’s examine the panel.  gojo’s face is more simplified and cartoonish with a grey background on top and some sort of white bubble surrounding the three characters.  gakuganji is staring at utahime and gojo.  in the official viz translation, he replies to mei with, “i wonder how much!”  

normal and logical explanation: shading the principal by asking out loud how much mei was paid by him to avoid monitoring yuuji.

gojohime brainrot explanation: 

mei: “there’s no value in something that can’t be bought since you can’t exchange that for money”

gojo: (in response) i wonder how much utahime’s love would cost if it did have a price.

utahime: ?

you’re probably thinking i’m delulu (true) BUT HEAR ME OUT.  IT WOULD SOMEWHAT MAKE SENSE IN THIS CONTEXT...

mei’s saying seems to be what she lives by.  relationships, love, friendships, etc. do not matter to her as this is evident when she ultimately abandons everyone in shibuya to escape to malaysia, selling all her stocks before japan’s economy goes down.  she doesn’t care about anyone else.  she even takes advantage of ui ui’s adoration for her.  she contrasts utahime.  utahime is loved by her students.  children, especially teenagers, are picky when it comes to choosing the adults they admire and respect.  while everyone trusts gojo, they do not respect him because of his childishness and overall absurdity.  it’s refreshing to see how they always call him an idiot or have a -_- face when he’s around.  when akutami says everyone absolutely adores utahime-sensei, it says a lot.  we haven’t seen her interact with her students all that much, but she’s obviously close to them because she’s frequently arguing with momo.  even a closed off person like mechamaru wanted to keep her away from danger.  she most certainly expresses a lot of concern and care for her students, and gojo and her students can pick up on this. 

i’ve talked about this in every post LOLOL but there’s a reason why he went to utahime first to help him investigate.  utahime is a loyal person through and through.  she would never do something that harms the students even if she was offered everything in the world.  she values relationships above everything else.  besides her concern for the students, how else was i able to come to this conclusion about her character?  well, she got shoko to stop smoking because she was worried about how it might damage her friend’s health.  from these two details, it’s obvious that she’s the complete opposite of mei.  

maybe that’s why he calls her weak.  she’s too selfless and compassionate in a world where every sorcerer is for themselves.  the world is cruel as a sorcerer.  no matter how hard you try to fight, in the end, you’ll always die alone.  remember his talk with megumi after the baseball game?  after witnessing megumi pull a sacrificial bunt to help his teammates advance, gojo has a talk with megumi about his attitude and potential.  he says that being selfless and caring about others is not a bad thing, but in a world like this, where people always die alone, he is wasting his potential by being concerned with others.  it’s okay to be selfish.  this is why we see fierce independence in a lot of the sorcerers like mei, nanami, and gojo.  they each have their own reasons as to why they work alone, but it’s still a common characteristic.  i feel like utahime doesn’t have a selfish bone in her body.  i speculate that her selflessness is the exact reason why she is being held back.  during her mission to exorcise a grade 1 spirit by herself, the final task before being promoted to grade 1, she likely got distracted trying to help civilians out of danger and failed her mission.  he’s right when he says she doesn’t have the guts to be the traitor, utahime doesn’t have it in her to do something so boldly solely for her own benefit.  

after this long tangent, how does this relate to your headcanon, ootahime?  

as you know, love is not transactional.  you can’t pay someone to love you.  what if gojo is asking himself how much it would cost to buy her love.  hence, her confusion because she is oblivious to what he really means.  it could be probable because gakuganji is observing not only gojo, but utahime as well.  so what gojo says must involve her too, right?  

or she could just be confused because his words seem out of place because she is unaware of what gakuganji is doing behind everyone’s back.  that explanation makes sense for viz’s official translation but it doesn’t make sense when he says, “spoken from experience!” because his words make sense in that context.  he’s basically saying that mei’s beliefs must be based on her past experiences so he understands why she feels this way.  that’s an appropriate response to mei’s statement so i don’t see why utahime would be confused by this.  unless i’m interpreting this whole scene completely wrong.  in that case, whoopsies!  

let me know if you’re confused because i’m willing to clarify.  idk why but i found this really difficult to explain.  maybe because i’m reaching so hard haha

chapter 40

he finds any way he can to tease her.  they seem like a married couple watching a movie or something.  does he take pride in being the only person she doesn’t get along with?  i mean, she says it herself so he is aware she thinks he’s annoying, but he keeps picking on her anyway.  he doesn’t even pick on his enemies this much LMAOOO i think the only other person he likes to make fun of is gakuganji but he does so because he doesn’t agree with his views.  with utahime it’s different.  he trusts her a lot and even looks out for her.  

chapter 44

why are there two separate instances of gakuganji observing utahime and gojo’s interactions from afar?  nah i’m just playing.  he’s just looking because he’s concerned she’ll run into the semi-grade 1 curse he had for yuuji.  OKAY BUT I NOTICED SOMETHING KINDA CUTE?  whenever utahime says something suddenly, he always has those 3 little triangles near his head.  it’s like he’s thinking, “oh!  utahime is speaking, i must listen <3″  look at his face too.  he’s looking at her like :O

this is also an example of her showcasing her concern for the students in front of gojo.  i feel like he questions why she’s so caring because if it were him, he would have left the student to figure it out themselves.  i really wonder how she would react if he answered her truthfully when she asked what he’d do if she were the traitor.

Usually, his son would play alone in the afternoon for half an hour or do his homework and then spend some time with his family, but today he was pretty long alone in his room.

,,I need mommy,’’ he repeated.

,,I don’t understand Math,’’ the boy whimpered, tears in his eyes.

,,Daddy will help you since Mommy needs to rest. You will be a big brother soon, that’s why Mommy needs to sleep a lot,’’ Jumin told him and took his son and went into his room.

Jumin looked at the worksheets.

,,So, Mommy is in one room and I join, how many people are there?’’ Jumin asked him.

His son looked at him with panic.

But then the young father had an idea.

Yoosung looked at his daughter’s worksheet.

Since when did children have such difficult questions? He asked himself and tried to look up a tutorial to help his fifteen year old son.

His son was unmotivated, bored, and depressed that he couldn’t solve that one question.

His son nodded as he began to understand what his father tried to tell him.

Since then, his son always asked his father for help when there was something that he didn’t understand in his homework.

Alright, to start off let me explain how I want you to play this. All I expect of you is to just to either copy the questions or the numbers of the questions and answer them, and once you are done, I guess just re-blog it so others can play this too. I will include my answers under each question to inspire those who aren’t sure what to write or what they would do, and for those who want to get to know me more.

I actually made this because I want to see how everyone actually would react to specific situations so I can, when it comes to writing stories for you all, make them more relatable and not something where you would read the story and think “Umm I/My MC would never do something like this.... “ alright let me stop wasting time now

2. What were you wearing when you first arrived? (Casual, smart, PJs, etc. Describe your outfit) 

Realistically speaking, I imagine myself arriving to devildom wearing my favourite BNHA hoodie and some black joggers/sweatpants

3. What we're you doing before you got teleported into devildom?

I actually like to headcanon/imagine that MC originally signed up to study abroad and as they go to the airport and sit on the plane, 2 hours into the flight as they are staring out of the window, they suddenly notice how the light suddenly went off around them and everything went quiet, so when they look away from the window to see what's going on they see that actually somehow everyone feel asleep around them, even the stewards and stewardess. When MC looks back out of the window they suddenly see everything is actually upside down, the plane is flying normally but the city/ land that they saw is suddenly now in the sky and the clouds are at the bottom, and suddenly the airplane starts lowering itself into the clouds which start looking more orange and grey. That is when they suddenly hear Belphagore's voice calling for them as they slowly drift to sleep and then end up waking up in devildom.

4. First reaction when you get there 

Once again Realistically speaking, I'd think this was all either A) a dream (based on Q3), B) A big joke or C) A game show or like a Darren brown kinda thing.

I would probably just be laughing at the whole situation out of nervousness and be like " ya guys are joking right? Hahaha very funny.... ok how do I wake up now?"

5. Reaction to finding out their names

The amount of times I'm going to repeat the word 'Realistically' in this post is uncountable, but realistically speaking I would start bursting out laughing when Satan and Lucifer would introduce themselves. I can imagine myself making fun of it and be like "SATAN AND LUCIFER??!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA IF YOU GUYS ARE SATAN AND LUCIFER, I'M BEYONCE! BWWAAAAHAHAHAHA"

I can clearly imagine them getting pissed at me due to this, because imagine someone laughs at you after you tell them your name, quite rude isn't it ? Lolol

6. Reaction to them actually dancing (dance battles )

In the beginning I'd start laughing but then also die out of second hand embarassment. I don't know why but seeing people dance makes me uncomfortable.

7. If you were to stand next to the characters where does your MC/ OC / Do you imagine yourself to reach up to?

Beelzebub/Lucifer/Diavolo - around the chest area, Def not reaching up to their shoulders.

Simeon / Solomon / Satan / Barbatos - up to their necks

Leviathan / Mammon - up to their chins

Asmodeus / Belphagore - their ears

8. Would you miss anyone? When would you start missing them ?

My family? Lolol no, I wouldn't miss them.

I would only miss my friends and my cats probably after satan would talk about cats. I can imagine me missing them after the first week or the second week

9. Who would you be closest to ?

I can imagine myself being close to the following : Leviathan, Asmodeus and Satan. I think I'd be really good friends with levi or asmo though since they are both invested into things that I'm also really into. Ah! I forgot to mention, I'd try to be friends with Mammon if I saw the brothers getting rude to him.

I'd try to get close to Lucifer but be a bit intimidated by him though and Mammon's tsundere act would kinda hurt me, but after I would realize that he's a tsundere I would be be friends with him.

10. Realistically speaking would you go up the stairs when Lucifer tells you not to? 

Honestly, I would respect Lucifer's wishes and not go up the stairs but if Belphagore doesn't shut the fuck up and keeps telling me to come to him, I'd probably go.

11. How would you react after Belphie kills you? What would you say to him ? 

After the whole killing thing and me seeing my dead body, I would be shocked and probably start swearing worse than s sailor and then lunge at him and beat him up out of anger. Honestly If I ever got the chance to make one of my wishes come true, it would be to get in a fist fight with Belphagore, where I would beat the living hell out of him.

12. How would you react after finding out you left the original timeline?

I would honestly be sad about it, yes I get it that in this timeline we still have the same characters but honestly I would struggle accepting the new ones, and end up missing the original ones.

I think it would also result to me constantly thinking, if this Satan likes me, would the original Satan also like me? What would he have done in this situation, etc.

13. Reaction to finding out about being Liliths descendent? 

One word : shit

I would think it would be cool at first but then when I'd realize that the brothers are technically like my great-great¹⁰⁰⁰ granduncle ( ik that it says that human Lilith is not related to the brothers by blood ) I'd be a bit .... disturbed. I'd definitely crack a lot of grandpa jokes with them and joking call them "grandpapi" randomly.

Honestly though it would also make me feel bad about myself because I'd start thinking that they would start treating me as Lilith's replacement or that they are actually trying to find Lilith in me. But I guess after some time I'd get over it.

14. Reaction to the demon brothers being in their demon form ?

It's simple, if they are angry while being in their form, I'd be wary of them for a while, but if they are calm while being in it, I'd be amazed and ask a lot of questions, resulting to me jumping around excitedly and trying to touch them.

15. On the last day, realistically what would you do? Would you hug the brothers ? If you were to leave devildom who would you stay in contact with?

Honestly I'd kiss the character that I'd fall for the night before I leave. I can imagine that it's either Satan, Mammon, Lucifer, Leviathan or Solomon. It's either go big or go home!

I'd take one of those typical Victorian family pictures with everyone in it, meaning diavolo and barbs, the demon brothers, the angels and Solomon, and I'd make a copy for everyone to keep. I'd also maybe make something that they call all remember me by such as personalized keychains or bracelets.

I can definitely imagine myself staying in contact with Leviathan because... You know... Anime lolol and Solomon since he is the only human who I could talk to about devildom and everything that happened there. I'd love to stay in contact with the others but I feel like I won't be able to entertain them much via texting. I'd also love to stay in contact with the angels but I think we all know that won't be possible. Sad sigh

Would I cry? ... Yes, I would get ready eyed and hug them

16. Lastly, What would you tell your family and friends when you return, what will you tell them when they ask you about where you disappeared off to?

Honestly, I would tell my family about everything that happened, I'd tell them about devildom and everything I experienced since I know they would believe me because our family already has some history with demons and spiritual stuff.

However, I'd definitely lie to my friends saying something such as me breaking my phone when I went to study abroad causing me to lose contact as I was gone.

To be honest, this was really fun to make and answer, it really got me thinking about myself and my personality. I really hope you guys also end up doing this, and enjoy yourself. If you guys want I can also make part 2 which will contain scenes from season 2.

Bison as the Doctor's Personal Assistant

･ Bison is a little young, andon top of that, he wasn't that well acquainted with Rhodes Island either. Still, he was very well educated and mature for his age, which had to count for something.

･ You really liked him - he was very polite and helpful, along with being incredibly reliable. He was friendly as well, which was very nice since the both of you grew close really quickly.

･ Bison was still a little lost around Rhodes Island, however. As the Doctor, you felt it was your responsibility to help him get to know the place a little better - he'd be staying awhile, after all. You didn't particularly need a personal assistant, but you figured making him your assistant was the best way to help Bison feel less lost; and so, when you had some free time, you went looking for him to offer the position.

･ You were prepared for him to politely decline, as you knew he was busy between everything with Penguin Logistics, Mountain Dash Logistics and Rhodes Island. With a small smile and a wave, you casually asked the question after greetings were exchanged, "Bison, I wanted to ask; how does being my assistant sound?"

･ He seemed a little surprised, and his eyes glittered with a bit of curiosity, "Your assistant? And what kind of position would that be like?" You explained briefly; Bison would help you with your business around Rhodes Island if he were to become your assistant, you also mentioned that it would be a good opportunity to get to know the whole place better.

･ "I see, so that's it." The Forte replied after you wrapped your explanation up, "Well, like I've said before, if there is anywhere I can be of use, Doctor, I wouldn't mind helping you out." A small smile came to his face as he nodded, "I'll do my very best, thank you!"

･ "Great! Thank you as well, Bison." You grinned as well; you were glad he seemed enthusiastic about his new position. And so, after some paperwork, Bison was officially your assistant.

･ His first day on the job went very smoothly - as surprising as it was for him. You didn't put too much on him, and most of the day was just spent walking around and introducing him to the whole facility of Rhodes Island. The Forte seemed rather excited as you showed him all the rooms and systems, you really couldn't help but feel warm watching him listen carefully to you.

･ He seemed to learn a lot about Rhodes Island just during that first day, and both of you were really glad with how his job as your assistant began.

･ "Wow, the medical equipment here sure is complicated. I'll have to show some more appreciation to the Medic Operators next time we go on a mission, their job must be no easy feat." "Yes, I see Exusiai in the break rooms a lot, since she's usually playing loud music and having a party, but I didn't know there were so many." "This is the main deck? Wow, you can see everything from up here…."

･ He really did seem to feel more comfortable at Rhodes Island with every day he spent as your assistant.

･ Bison managed his other responsibilities along with his job as your assistant very well, as expected. He seemed to enjoy the job very much too - he was able to help you out as much as possible all while getting to know his new workplace better, so the Forte always found ways to make sure he had time free to attend to his duties with you.

･ You were glad he had become your assistant as well; him greeting you every morning was a great way to start the day, not to mention he was great to talk to about things outside of work, so you never felt lonely.

･ He wasn't exactly the most experienced in combat, so he couldn't help much with your tactical plans, but when it came to paperwork and the relations Rhodes Island had with other companies, Bison and his experience really shined.

･ He knew all the complexities of business relations, so having him nearby was a great help, and he didn't mind helping you learn a little either - after all, you had helped him so much already. He was very open to any questions you had and would always go above and beyond when answering.

･ "Just sign here and here and I can have the rest handled by tomorrow." "Yes, this part can get a little complicated, but don't worry about it, I'll explain."

･ On top of being extremely helpful with his business experience, Bison was great at assisting you with your paperwork. However, you didn't feel it was right to ask him to help you with your paperwork on top of everything else, so the Forte only began assisting you when he approached you about it when he saw you walking down the hall with a stack of papers almost as tall as him.

･ You smiled a little sheepishly at him after he took some of the paper stack in his arms, "Thank you, Bison." The Forte nodded, "You're welcome, Doctor. Wow, this is a lot of paperwork, do you do all of this by yourself?" After you admitted that you find ways to manage, he pursed his lips out before speaking up, "I wouldn't mind helping you out with some of this. I'm quite good at taking care of paperwork like this since most logistics companies require a lot of signing and reading papers." You don't want to bother him about it, but he didn't seem to mind helping you at all, so you didn't see a reason to dismiss him.

･ You brought him to your office so he could work with you, and he politely stepped in and looked around curiously, "This is your office? The view is really nice."

･ You didn't have a desk for him, but thankfully your desk was big enough for both of you to share. Bison pulled up a chair and placed the paper stack down before nodding to himself, "Let's get to work, Doctor!"

･ The Forte was very patient with you, and took time to help you if you looked a little confused. He was also very efficient in completing his paperwork, and you were impressed at his work ethic.

･ Working on paperwork with Bison at the end of the day became a regular occasion, and just like how you had helped him get to know Rhodes Island better, he helped you understand the complex business papers better. It truly was a win-win situation for the both of you.

･ Over the time he spent as your assistant, you two had grown close. Bison respected you even more than before and you were very thankful for him.

･ Even when the Forte had already made himself comfortable at Rhodes Island, you didn't feel any need to remove him from his position as your assistant; you had both created a schedule around being in each other's company, and if you were telling the truth, you would definitely miss having him around if you relieved him of his position.

･ When you asked him about it, he shook his head lightly, "Doctor, I know our agreement was that you would help me until I got to know Rhodes Island better, but I wouldn't mind helping you out for longer." You smiled, and he gave you a small grin back. You two were on the same page. And so, he stayed as your assistant.

･ Bison was always reliable, and even when he outshined you in certain situations, he never lost that glitter of admiration in his eyes when he was with you.

･ His admiration split out one day after you two had finished a load of paperwork, "Wow Doctor, you really are amazing. Thank you for allowing me to be your assistant, I will continue to learn more from this."

･ You smiled, Bison really was special to you, and you while you knew his time at Rhodes Island as only just beginning, you hoped he'd be able to spend lots of that time with you; "It's my pleasure, Bison."

Hi, so this is my first time posting something I have written (please go easy on me, I wrote this when on a plane and I was very sleep-deprived) 

A little background to the story before you read. The MC is female in this story. The MC in this story is from an English speaking country; there are not many references to it, but there is some. (It hints that she doesn’t know much Korean/ she is learning Korean). This is kind of set in a different timeline than the main story - You don’t have to plan the party in 11 days, and you get to meet the RFA before the party (the setting is a coffee shop). The MC is also a University student (also not mentioned a lot). The perspective sometimes jumps around a bit, but I hope it’s not too confusing to follow. 

Anyways I hope you enjoy it. (Any feedback is appreciated - I really enjoyed writing this)

‘I can’t believe I am going to be late.’ You thought when trying to search the address of the coffee shop onto your phone. Notifications of texts from Seven grab your attention from the map. He was wondering where you were, as he made sure that the coffee shop was a reasonable distance away from Rika’s apartment so that the other members did not know exactly where it was. But he also ensured that it was easy to access from the apartment. It should have been a short trip, but you were now running fifteen minutes late. A groan escapes your lips, ‘This is not a great first impression,’ Yeah, they already a first meeting with you when you were added to the chatroom, but that was also not the best impression. You just really didn’t want to be late. You quickly type a reply to Seven explaining that you were held up at University and trying to find the address. Stressed out, you start jogging the directions your phone was providing you. Your phone kept buzzing, but you ignored it. You didn’t want to be too late.

The RFA members were sitting at a table in the coffee shop discussing their days and general chit chat. Seven glanced up from his phone “Well, guys. It seems that our coordinator is running late.” The responses from the other members were mixed. They were all excited to meet their newest member. However, they had busy nights ahead of them. ZEN had to practice for his latest musical, Jaehee and Jumin had final contracts with another company to finish, and Yoosung had a LOLOL event later tonight, which he can’t miss. “Perhaps, we should reschedule?” announces Jumin, breaking the group from their temporary silence. Seven glances at the window “She is on her way, she just got held up. From tracking her phone, she isn’t too far away. Can’t you guys wait a little longer?” Jaehee provided a sigh “We have a lot to do tonight. I guess tonight was not a good night for (Y/N) either. Did you not ask for her availability, Luciel?” Seven hummed, drumming his fingers on his chin “I might have forgotten…” They were ready to kill him.

You glance at your phone once more. Yep, this was definitely the place. You glanced inside. For late afternoon, the place was mobbed. How were you ever going to find the RFA? You sigh, walking in, searching the room for any indication of your group. You couldn’t see any red hair or hear any distinctive arguments that sounded like ZEN and Jumin. You decided to give up and phone Seven, but first you wanted to order something. It was a miserable day, and you needed a pick me up. You stand in line, waiting for your turn to order, rehearsing your words in your head. You were learning more Korean every day, but your confidence always betrayed you when trying to speak it.

Yoosung started whining that the LOLOL event was going to start soon, and he still had a long journey home. He was practically begging Seven to phone (Y/N) and reschedule. “SEVEN, pleaseeee I can win a limited edition armour at this event. I need to go home!” Seven continued to ignore Yoosung by tracking (Y/N) ’s phone; he was sure you should have been here by now. He wasn’t sure how long he could convince the others to stay. His eyebrows furrowed. You were in the shop! But where? Without drawing too much attention from the other members, he searches the shop looking for you. However, ZEN notices Seven’s change and looks at him puzzled “What are you looking for… Wait is she here?” A quick nod from Seven was all ZEN and Yoosung needed to start pointing out random girls that were in the shop. Jaehee and Jumin started glancing at each suggestion until Jumin sighed “Wouldn’t it be easy if Luciel gave us a description of (Y/N). Then we could find her quicker?” Seven quickly stood from the table “Agent 707, has spotted the target. You guys stay here. I’m off to get her.” Before he skipped away, he turned to Jumin and smiled, “You guys keep guessing, here’s a hint. She looks adorable.” With that he disappeared, the table all started suggesting random girls in the shop as they saw Seven leave their sight.

You sighed in relief as you were able to order your items without a problem. Your Korean hasn’t failed you yet. Although, you felt slightly awkward ordering in Korean when the waitress initially asked you for your order, in English. You were now standing in another queue, waiting for your item to be given to you. You give the surrounding area another glance to try spot any member, anyone that could help find your party. Before looking at your phone, hoping to call Seven to get him to rescue you. Your phone presses the call button, and you begged for him to answer his phone for once. “Defender of Justice, speaking, how can I help you today?” Oh my, he actually answered. You roll your eyes and try not to giggle “Hi Seven, I’m at the place you told me, but I can’t find anyone”. You hear movement from Seven. Yes, he’s coming to find…. “That’s too bad, guess you gotta search the whole place then” He’s tormenting you. You groan down the phone “But that might take forever!” you whine. “Better start quickly” he replies before hanging up. You mutter curse words in English under your breath. Hopefully, the other people around you don’t know what you are saying. Until… “My, My. What a dirty mouth for such a sweet, innocent girl”. Your head jolts up, and you instantly start apologising in every language you know, so embarrassed you have been caught. “Well, I guess I can let it slide….” You were about to turn to face the stranger who caught you. “IF you say ‘707 is the greatest person in the universe’ and bow before me.”

“Has anyone got eyes on Seven?” questions Yoosung, eager to see if he has met up with (Y/N) yet. “Negative” replies ZEN, why were they acting like movie characters, no one knows, but Jaehee loved it. Their thoughts of their busy nights left their minds when they discovered that you were in the shop. They were all anxious to finally see you. They were always jealous that Seven knew what you look like. You are their new member too, and they should all know. “Wait, I have eyes on the target,” says Jumin, joining in with ZEN and Yoosung. Almost all the members whipped their heads to where Jumin was staring. Sure enough, Seven was walking back to the table. But there was no girl with him. As Seven was about to sit down, the members all started questioning where their newest member were. “Oh…. I thought she was following me. Oh well, she’ll find us” Seven sings. ZEN looked like he was ready to kill Seven “Why didn’t you wait for her?” he yelled. “Um..” The group move their gaze from Seven to the new person near their table speaking.

“Hi, is this seat taken?” You ask, voice shaking. You pointed to the chair next to Seven. Oh my god, there were all right in front of you. The people you have been speaking to for the last couple of days. You couldn’t believe it… “I apologise ma’am. But that seat is reserved for another person” You glance at the woman in glasses, who spoke clearly for you to understand. Hey, you were getting better at listening and translating Korean. Your face goes red, you and Seven didn’t really plan this far ahead. Suddenly little whispers reach your ear “Hey, Yoosung, she looks kinda cute right.” Your face enters a deeper shade of red if that was even possible. You glance over to ZEN and Yoosung when you hear Seven announce “Actually, why don’t you just sit. Keep the chair warm for them” he gestures to the chair. As you sat, the rest of the RFA members gave Seven disapproving looks. “Luciel, she can’t stay there. We are waiting for an important guest, and it would seem rude to have someone else in their place.” Jumin says, practically telling you to leave as politely as possible. “Nonsense! (Y/N) is kind, she’ll understand” Seven dismisses Jumin and then turns to you. “So… Tell us about yourself. I’m Luciel, also known as 707, Defender of Justice!” He smiles. What was he doing? Why does he want them to reintroduce themselves to you? ZEN sighs “I’m ZEN, I’m an actor. You might recognise me from musicals “. You look towards ZEN, he is even more good looking in person, if that was even possible. You give a quick smile before switching your attention to the blond boy next to him. “Hi, I’m Yoosung! I’m a University student.” Yoosung smiles before looking towards Jumin and Jaehee hoping someone else would speak to get attention off of him. Jumin and Jaehee look sceptically at each other. You remember that when you entered the chatroom, they didn’t introduce themselves. Instead, Seven did… “ANND that’s Jumin and Jaehee, they don’t always like to introduce themselves. Jumin is a corporate heir who has the cutest cat, Elly and Jaehee is his hardworking assistant” the awkward silence saved by Seven, yet again. You smile at the two, who both still seemed unimpressed that you had taken their guest’s seat. You could feel the group’s stare on you, waiting for you to respond. You take a deep breath.

“Hi, I’m (Y/N), your newest member.”

Hello there!!! Omfg I’m literally on campus right now for pride!!! LOL just got myself a smoky burger from OTH what what. okay okay okay good questions. 

MICA has changed quite a bit since I was there. Like, my freshman year was fucking lit. If you take the shuttle and get Mr. Robert or Ms. Yvette, ask them about the nudists. Shit was wild. 

Our freshman/foundation year was different in general too? Like

Okay. So. lol. Our classes were:

Elements of Visual Thinking - Which was a chance to explore concepts, mediums, learning how to properly critique, etc. 

Critical Thinking - Which was just critical theory, but more on your own practice I guess? I don’t really know how to explain it. 

EMAC - Which was exploring different forms of digital media and how to use them (Premier, Photoshop, Audacity, recording devices, etc)

Sculptural Forms - Which was a chance for you to explore 3d media. So it was held in what used to be 15/15 and it was woodshop, plaster, 3d printing, and cardboard. 

Then, this is where I get pissed off and seriously fucking angry about this change. 

But we USED to have Painting and Drawing. Now, if you got a 5 in AP art, you gained an extra credit and could skip Drawing/Painting 1. HAH. IMAGINE THAT. HAVING A PAINTING AND DRAWING CLASS AS A FOUNDATION FOR YOUR ART. BECAUSE IT’S KIND OF NECESSARY.

They were separate classes and I think, they were extremely fucking important to the development of not only my art but my peers. For example, I fucking hated painting when I went to MICA. Literally fucking refused to touch the medium. 

I went to my first class with Latoya Hobbs, tried oil paint, and everything fucking changed. I was a GD major (or that was my plan) and I immediately switched to Painting and I never looked back. 

Unfortunately, yall don’t have that opportunity anymore. Especially since when you choose your major, you tend to stick with those classes. Which really fucking sucks, because you can tell the variety of art has gone down since this change happened. And I think that’s the thing that I dislike about MICA NOW the most. I had the chance to take things, was required to take them, and then I knew how to do a variety of things BECAUSE of those changes. And from what I understand, you don’t have those opportunities anymore. Which really fucking sucks. Because you also miss out on the amazing fucking professors in other majors as well. For example, Karen Warshal. I HIGHLY recommend taking her Portrait class and her Anatomy class. I swear to god, those were the best, more useful classes I’ve ever taken. Is she crazy? A bit. But she’s the most genuine, caring, supportive, and one of the hardest professors I’ve ever had. And thats what you WANT. You don’t want someone to butter you up, tell you your art is poppin when it’s not, and to try and let you off easy because you look upset. Karen tells you how it fucking is and that’s so god damn important. no matter what major you are, TAKE HER FUCKING CLASSES. They’re important and they’re necessary to your development as an artist. Anyway, I havent really answered your question!

Dislike:Housing situation fucking sucked. getting a room was fucking ridiculous. They ran out of room for us because they started accepting more (this happened when sophomore housing was required. My year was the first year that went into effect and they had to buy out bolton hill apartments. people had to break leases, etc. it was fucking ridiculous). 

The MICA store is eh? It used really good and held in dolphin. But it was literally falling apart. Now its too.. idk. It’s fine. I prefer artists and craftsmen. 

Access to studios and equipment is eh too. Because of time constraints. 

How the student body treats the fucking faculty is DISGUSTING. One girl literally called one of the sweetest security guards the ‘help’. Ms. Gloria (senior in security) is fantastic, Officer Green is everything, Ms. Yvette is so fucking sweet, and Mr. Robert makes my heart sing. 

The student body in general LOLOLOLOLOL. ‘Surround yourself with good juju’ - Former MICA Grad (my best friend) The fucking student body mica page is a fucking dumpster fire lol. 

I don’t like how white MICA is and how entitled a good part of the student body is. The amount of entitlement is fucking ridiculous. And the amount of ignorance is astounding. Also the obviousness to what fucking city you're in, is so wild i cant fucking even. Like. MICA is deceptively beautiful (the MICA bubble). Which is why it is high in crime lol. Just be alert and don’t be a god damned dumbass walking around at 3 am with your fucking headphones in, smoking a cigarette, and acting like you’re fucking immune to being mugged. Just saying. Take the shuttles and you’ll most likely be gucci. 

I don’t like how MICA spends its money (our money). And what they choose to invest in - like buying random fucking buildings and not telling the students what it’s for, and fucking raising the price of tuition and living in order to compensate. 

The total and utter lack of transparency, etc. It felt eehhhh I don’t know how to explain it. 

NOW. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE A LOT AND THAT IM JUST SHITTING ON MICA. BUT MY MICA EXPERIENCE WAS THE BEST OF MY LIFE. I LEARNED SO MUCH. AND I FIND WHAT I LEARNED THERE TO BE INVALUABLE (except for the fact that I’m 56k in debt. just saying)

But really. I loved MICA. I wish I could go back. I met so many amazing people, made great connections, and I don’t think I would have had the same love at any other art school. (I have friends in SAIC, Pratt, Parsons, FIT, SVA, RISD - they all complain about the same things. they in the grand scheme of things, are material. Which important because, hah, money. But, material nonetheless. If you have the means, I don’t think these things I explained are deal breakers)

Now what I loved about MICA. Because honey. I fucking LOVED MICA:

When I was touring schools, I was kind of eh about them? Not in the sense that I wouldn’t have a good time or be ungrateful, but I didn’t get that feeling. Does that make sense? For example, I took a tour at SVA and I have very very strong opinions about SVA, I had no feeling. When I stepped on MICA’s campus, that was fucking it for me. Not only was I comfortable there, but the professors that were at the tour, made it their duty and went out of their way to make myself and the other potential students feel welcome. They were personable, they were kind and welcoming, they were warm, and that continued even after I decided MICA was the place for me. 

My class at least, had no drama lololol. Again, my freshman year was a hell of a lot of fucking fun. We didn’t have any big racist shit going on like other years (ahem ahem 2018, 2019). INSTEAD, we had the nudists, we had carrot videos (ask around about that), it kind of felt less cliquey? Because everyone was generally interested in being friends? Idk. Like we definitely had groups and they became more evident as majors really clicked in, but in the beginning, everyone was pretty much together (this was the first year that the grill opened and leake was a thing. So we were all figuring out the dorms together). I mean we had drama but it wasn’t... idk. It wasn’t like mica student body (maybe its because we didnt have that to fuck shit up lolol). 

On The Hill was my shit. Still my shit. I fucking love on the hill with a fucking passion. Pom Iced Teas, where you at. The neighborhood in general was really nice. Baltimore is one of my favorite cities and the stigma of it will be broken as soon as you start exploring it. HOWEVER, BE FUCKING SMART. DONT BE A FUCKING IDIOT. IF YOU DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE SOMEWHERE, YEET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE. TRAVEL WITH OTHERS. DON’T BE THOSE DUMB ASS WHITE GIRLS FROM RURAL FUCKING TOWNS THAT THINK THEY CAN WALK AROUND AT 4 AM OR JUST WHEN IT’S DARK OUT, ALONE, AND BE OKAY. TAKE. THE FUCKING. SHUTTLE. 

The studio spaces were really nice so as they’re taken care of. the equipment is really nice. take advantage of it while you can. because once you’re out of school. hah. you’re screwed. 

Networking was nice. 

Being close to the Walters was amazing and the ability to go to DC for the day only spending 8$ on the Marc train to get there was amazing. Having Penn right on campus. 

Again, the professors were in majority, fucking amazing. 

Some professors had classes outside of MICA (karen has model drawing classes at her studio) take them! They’re really worth it!

I actually didnt mind the dorms. 10x better than most colleges. 

Accessibility was amazing. Especially since its not a closed campus, but everything is in one place. That’s not the case with a lot of Art colleges. 

And most of all, I just loved being there. I loved learning. I loved the people. I loved baltimore, i loved the professors. MICA 10000% shaped how I am as an artist in the best way and I think it’s an amazing place to be despite the downfalls. 

Don’t take everything I said as gospel. like I said, these are just my experiences as well as a few of my friends in the same fine arts department. The others, I’m not sure about. But yeah. His jaw dropped

The only thing that came out of his mouth was, “You look like a mermaid from LOLOL!”

MC laughed as he blushed, and explained that her mermaid cousin had actually designed a lot of mythical creatures for various fantasy based games, and she knows her cousin designed the mermaids for LOLOL

She’s got scales her and there, imbedded in her cheeks and shoulders, and Yoosung just can’t stop staring because she’s so sparkly and pretty

Before he can help it, he says, “If anything happens, at least I’m a vet.”

MC laughs and pulls him into the tub for that comment

He has so many questions for later, but holds them back in this moment to just let this whole situation sink in

Jaehee

For some reason, MC insisted they go to the beach

No real explanation

MC would only say that there was something she wanted to show Jaehee

It was a warm and sunny day, there were plenty of people, but MC dragged her to this perfect little hideaway beach where no one else could see them swim

MC dragged Jaehee in once they’d set up camp and they swam and played and eventually MC coaxed Jaehee down into the water so that she could see her bottom half clearly

Jaehee was so startled she had to go up for air

MC shyly peaked her head up in the water and Jaehee could see how nervous she was and calmed down

They go up to the beach, but sit so that the ocean comes up to the hips

They talk, Jaehee feels MC’s tail and asks questions about mermaids, a kind of child-like curiosity in wanting to know about her people

MC was just relieved Jaehee was so accepting of her and still wanted to be with her

Zen

It was always interesting to him that MC knew so very little about popular media and some common social norms

She had a phone, of course, but she’d seemed surprised when he turned on the TV one day, and half the time, electronics seemed to confuse her

Of course, it was adorable watching her flounder and ask for his help

she also seemed to eat a lot of fish

Then, one day, a woman showed up while they were on a date

She and MC went off privately a little and fought about something, the other woman trying to force something into MC’s hands

When MC came back, she told Zen there was something they really needed to talk about

He almost didn’t believe her when she explained that she was a mermaid, but she had purposely transformed for him, and he was… well, he was in awe

MC also awkwardly explained that she… well, she made a deal with a Sea Witch, her sisters are scared she’ll never return to the ocean and die, like fable of the Little Mermaid

MC won’t as long as she pays the Sea Witch off or… uses the blood of the man she loves to null the contract all together

MC assures him that paying the Sea Witch is already taken care of, so he doesn’t need to worry about that

Zen still worries that her sisters will come try to kill him, but MC assures him that they know better than to try

Jumin

When MC told him, he thought she was joking

Seriously, if she was a mermaid, how did she have legs now?

Well, MC explains that mermaids can leave the sea for long durations of time, but eventually have to return for a year (or five) in order to live

Thank goodness for modern amenities, however, as she is able to mix up a makeshift saltwater bath, dip in, and prove it

Jumin’s face suddenly darkens and asks if she has any skins that she needs to wear to transform or if she has a mermaid husband, but MC quickly tells him he’s thinking of selkie and he has nothing to worry about

MC is very impressed with his knowledge of mythology

Then again, he reads a lot of… let’s say, interesting, books

She assures him that, because she can mix up a salt water bath whenever she needs, she can and will stay with him

That’s all he needs to hear

He sets up a few precautions to protect MC, intends to keep her secret secret, and does some research

Jumin discovers online that mermaids like shiny things, so he buys MC a ton of shiny things and she goes nuts for it, which makes him happy

Saeyoung

“I always thought there was something fishy about you!”

Omfg, Saeyoung, not now. Get that stupid grin off your face.

Btw, he walked in on her in the tub with her tail hanging out the side

On the surface he takes the whole thing surprisingly well, cracking jokes, asking questions

“How long have you been a mermaid? Can you breathe underwater? Do you have a pod or a pet dolphin? How deep underwater can you go?”

On the inside, he’s planning/panicking

How is he going to hide her secret and protect her? Because he certainly didn’t know mermaids existed until now

MC is honestly surprised by his apparent enthusiasm

They end up having a long, semi-serious conversation about her being a mermaid, how they can hide it, and who they should and shouldn’t tell

Then they talk mermaid stuff, like how she never gets pruney, she doesn’t need air because she has gils, and what prompted her to leave the sea in the first place

V

Honestly, the moment V heard that MC was a mermaid, he didn’t believe it until she showed him by dragging him to a secluded beach

And the moment he saw her, he just wanted to take her picture

So he did, catching a gorgeous shot of her tail catching the light just right and the ocean as a backdrop

That was the only picture V took, he made one print of it, and hid the film

The only people who would ever see the picture were himself and MC

The picture was too beautiful to destroy, and V itched to take more, but never would to protect her secret 

MC is honestly surprised at how well he handled everything

V really likes the sound of her singing, but she has a bad habit of singing sea shanties, so he can’t help but laugh at the stereotypical mermaid things she does

Saeran

When he found out, Saeran was so scared she was going to leave him to return to the sea

MC assured him she wasn’t going anywhere, but he was still scared to bits

Besides, MC was a freshwater mermaid and grew by a river and a lake

Saeran ends up having Saeyoung help him build a bunch of water proof electronic devices (including a phone and a smart watch with a tracker inside) for MC so that he can still keep track of her if she goes underwater

As… invasive as it is, the devises also notify her when someone is checking her location

MC ends up showing the devises off to her mermaid friends, who then wish to use valuables they’ve gathered from accidents and wrecks to pay for phones for themselves

She also takes a ton of underwater photos for Saeran so that he can see what she sees

Once they’re living together in a place near a river, he’s so much more at ease

in this post, i will be analyzing the information we’ve been given about utahime so far to form a prediction about her future role in the jujutsu kaisen series. if you’re as interested in utahime’s character as i am, please feel free to keep reading :3 (i’ll also be talking about her relationship with gojo a bit too)

utahime iori is a semi-grade 1 sorcerer working as a student supervisor/teacher at kyoto jujutsu high school. she loves drinking beer and going to karaoke. she’s also close friends with shoko and she’s not particularly fond of gojo most of the time. what else do we know about her?

hates sweets (funny she’s the complete opposite of gojo)

she’s great at singing and it’s a huge part of her technique

squabbling with gojo became a reflex :3

everyone absolutely adores utahime

loves watching soccer and baseball

a terrible drunk (worse than naobito zenin)

gojo is her main source of stress

let’s dive into her personality and abilities!

chapter 65

before i get into it, i think it’d be best if i were to explain the timeline because a lot of people seem to be confused about this one particular thing. utahime is born on february 18th, 1987. contrary to popular belief, she is not 3 years older than gojo. it is november 2018 in the story because gojo was sealed on halloween. if gojo was born on december 7th, 1989, that would mean that right now, he is only 28 years old. he has yet to turn 29.

the year is 2007. gojo satoru is a second year at tokyo jujutsu high school. the japanese school year begins in april which suggests that gojo is only 17 at the time (even if it’s not april, it doesn’t look like winter yet so it’s unlikely that he’s already 18). utahime is 20 because it is past february. she is a 2nd grade sorcerer at the age of 20. that’s not bad at all!

chapter 65 introduces young utahime and mei on a mission together within a cursed site. in real time, they’ve been gone for two days which is a cause of concern for gojo, shoko, and geto because the two haven’t contacted anyone since the beginning of their mission.  the two begin to suspect something is wrong because the hallway markers they’ve set in place disappeared, and no matter how far they travel within the halls, the end is nowhere in sight.  mei theorizes that the cursed spirit is overlapping the space as they travel forward.  utahime agrees with this speculation and proposes a plan to escape the cursed spirit’s grasp by moving erratically.  notice how she says that if one of them should escape, they can try to attack from the outside or call for help.  if utahime was not capable of inflicting damage on anything then she would have told mei to escape and attack if she can while she waited to be rescued.  however, she didn’t.  she included herself in the sentence which leads me to believe that she is capable of going on the offense if needed.  

keep in mind that at this point in time, mei is a grade 1 sorcerer.  she is knowledgeable about all things involving jujutsu because she is experienced and skillful.  we can see this aspect of her character illustrated when she theorizes that the cursed spirit is messing with the space they’re in.  she chooses to go with utahime’s plan because she agrees that it’s the best action moving forward.  this verifies that utahime is an intelligent girl that’s able to get along with pretty much anyone.  

her intellect is demonstrated once again in chapter 79.  she was able to deduce the possibility of there being more than one traitor and the fact that one is probably a higher up.  she also narrowed down the mechamaru as the mole of kyoto not because he was acting suspicious but by process of elimination.  she thought thoroughly of his technique and how easy it would be for him to manipulate devices small enough to be undetectable.  

sure you can argue that she should already know all her students’ abilities and whatnot but you have to admit that it’s hard trying to sniff out the traitor when no one is acting suspicious.  in addition to that, how did she know that there was a traitor in the top brass?  i would have never guessed that tbh LOL (maybe bc im an idiot).

okay, now that we have established that she’s intelligent, let’s answer a more important question.  is utahime weak?

chapter 33

if gojo calls utahime weak, does that mean there is some truth to it?  well it is true that she is weaker than him because he’s the strongest and all.  in my opinion, he’s just teasing her.  he probably found that calling her weak is what really riles her up.  maybe i’ll talk about why he loves teasing her so much in a later post.  but anyway, gojo calls everybody and their mom weak.  he even said jogo was weak and we know how powerful that guy is.  gojo’s words alone do not indicate much about utahime’s power.  in fact, i don’t even think he has seen her use her technique yet.  he’s probably only ever heard of how it works.  this is what i think their conversation about her technique was like:

gojo: hm?  ur cursed technique is singing?  can u show me?

utahime: what!  no way!  

gojo: why not?

*one of the classmates tells him that she can only use her CT once in a while because it consumes a lot of energy*

gojo: hahaha!  u have to conserve cursed energy to use ur CT?  why are u so weak, utahime?

utahime: i!  am!  your!  senpai!  respect!  me!

what i’m trying to say is that gojo loves poking fun of people.  we should not believe him when he calls someone weak because compared to him, everyone is weak.  

this is a little off topic but let’s examine him telling her, “and you don’t have the nerves, utahime.”  i think he’s trying to say that there’s no way she’ll ever do something like that because she’s not the type to put her students in danger.  remember the soft expression and relieved smile on her lips when she said that she was glad the students were safe after the kyoto incident?  gojo was directly in front of her so not only did he hear her say that, but he could have seen the look on her face too.  even if he told her that she didn’t have the guts to betray the school to get on her nerves, he knew that utahime simply cared too much about the students so he ruled her out as a suspect right away.  this is why he ultimately decided to confide in her and ask her to help him.  

i’m a person who loves over-analyzing things.  i really enjoy the dynamic between gojo and utahime.  they’ve known each other for more than 11 years and although they always bicker, there is an unspoken feeling of trust between the two.  gojo can do anything and everything by himself because he is truly the strongest person alive, but he still knows when to rely on others.  him deciding to entrust utahime with such a job implies that he believes in utahime’s abilities.

chapter 52

she’s not using any cursed energy here--not to our knowledge at least.  this is just pure skill.  she was able to swiftly evade the swing from haruta.  he was surprised himself considering the fact that he was right behind her.  how do we know her CT isn’t speed?  after haruta swung at her, we can see that some of her hair got cut off.  if she was using her CT then speed should be her specialty.  she should have been able to completely avoid the attack altogether but she didn’t.  of course this isn’t a wow moment because jujutsu sorcerers should know how to dodge attacks, however, i’m just trying to get the point across that she’s not a defenseless person without her technique or others.  let’s not forget that semi-grade 1 isn’t a weak rank either.  you can’t simply be recommended to be a grade 1 sorcerer if you only can support others.  

chapter 48

i want to bring up this panel. it suggests that utahime and takuma are sorcerers who have not experienced black flash and therefore, do not understand the essence of cursed energy as well as those who have like gojo and nanami.  i find it strange how takuma and utahime were used to represent sorcerers who haven’t experienced it yet.  is the purpose to demonstrate that there is a clear difference in skill between adult sorcerers like utahime and takuma compared to gojo and nanami?  i could be nitpicking but the order of todo’s statement doesn’t line up with the sorcerers being shown.  let me explain in depth.  todo starts off by saying, “for those who have experienced black flash as compared to those who have not...” wouldn’t it make more sense to show gojo and nanami on the right side to represent sorcerers who have experienced black flash?  that was mentioned first, after all.  gojo and nanami should appear when todo says “for those who have experience black flash” while utahime and takuma should be shown right after to personify the second part, “as compared to those who have not.”  i’m just making it more complicated than it actually is LOLOL i’m sure it really just means they haven’t experienced black flash yet, which is completely fine.  i also find it fascinating how they used utahime to contrast gojo.  with nanami and takuma it makes sense.  nanami is someone takuma looks up to, he wants to gain nanami’s approval before he deems himself worthy of a promotion. what about utahime and gojo?  what’s the purpose of comparing those two together when it’s obvious that gojo knows more about the essence of cursed energy more than anyone else?  i might be delusional whoops

Jaehee doesn’t get many breaks poor angel

But, when she does, she loves to go to the café

Coffee runs in her veins anyways

Work was the last thing on her mind

All she wanted was to relax while drinking a nice warm cappuccino

As she pulled out her wallet, she walked up to the counter to see MC standing behind the register

She had such a big smile on her face, “Hello! How may I help you today?”

She seems really nice

While she’s making Jaehee’s cappuccino, she begins to easily make small talk

At one point, she brought up Zen’s latest movie

Fangirl mode activated

That was all Jaehee needed

She liked this MC and wouldn't mind talking to her again

And again, and again, and again

They became pretty close, you know?

MC was just so supportive and sweet and always there for Jaehee! She really was… cute!

Jaehee began to feel the butterflies

Okay, this boy works so hard (at LOLOL of course)

But the coffee place isn't that big

And its packed

Yoosung had just snagged a table

She doesn't make him move, though, she just starts a conversation

And oml is that hard for him

But, he's really not a good student atm

He switches the convo and starts asking about MC

“Oh, so you're leaving, huh?” Yoosung asks in disappointment

“Other people need tables, don't they?” She would smile

“Um, hey. Is there any way I could talk to you again?”

“well, you could ask for my number,” she would hint flirtatiously, “or you could ask me if I'd like to come back for more coffee sometime.”

Yoosung blushed but he was smiling, “I'll do both. How does that sound?”

Okay, so Zen has been to many coffee shops, and let's just say it usually ends up in a pretty bad situation.

It’s not that the café itself that’s bad, it's just that…

Someone finds out who he is and his fans begin to swarm the café.

So, he rarely goes into them unless he’s in dire of need of coffee or something to eat.

Well, the day he meets MC is one of those days.

Zen had gotten off of work late, and was pretty much starving for some type of food.

Near the practice hall was a little café about a five minute walk from.

It was almost midnight, so he decided to take the chance and enter the café.

There only seemed to be one guy working the station at the moment,

which was a relief.

Just wait Zen it gets better

When he gave his order, the barista called out for someone in the back.

A really cute girl comes out in an apron.

The previous barista switches place with her to make his order done

Here comes the small talk.

She introduced herself as MC, and Zen thought she was the sweetest girl he’s seen.

It’s past midnight already  and she had more energy than a normal person should have around the time.

“Oh it’s because I had like three cups of coffee! Gotta stay awake for late night people like yourself!”

Throughout the whole chat, never did once MC bring up that he was an actor.

She treated him like a normal person

He took his drink and gave a farewell to MC, promising to come back.

He’ll be back in a hour 4 u MC

After his first encounter, he came back after every practice.

MC was always there to welcome him, and each day their conversations changed.

He told him about his new role in the play, and she seemed enamored

“I didn’t know you had a new role! I knew you were an actor, but I didn’t want to seem like every other person and fan over you…”

That was one of the things that made him want to see  MC over and over again.

She treated him like a normal person.

He learned that she was just working these night time shifts for some extra cash

“How’d it go? Your practice?”

“I went alright… Say, MC? How’d you like to go to dinner with me a night instead of working here?” hides nervousness like a true actor

MC is overjoyed, “I’d love to!”

Jumin

Jumin rarely goes out like this due to the fact that reporters would usually swarm him

So he usually has Jaehee get him his coffee

However, even our little angel Jaehee can get sick sometimes and Jumin has to take matters into his own hands

He began to start searching for a café that delivers

Score, he found one

Guess who delivered

MC, lookin all nice and cute in her little uniform delivered the coffee

Jumin wanted to take it and go, but MC tried to start a small convo

“Hello, sir!”

“Um, good morning.”

“Wow this place is big. Is the intern out or something?”

“Um, yes, she is.”

“Hope she feels better. Have a good day, Mr. Han.”

“How do you know my name?”

Awkwardly points to name on coffee cup

“Oh. Yes, have a good day.” notorious Jumin throat clearing

She gave him such a bright smile

And that coffee was goood

He saw on the receipt the name of the creator and it was the same as the girl who delivered

Even though Jaehee came back, he wants more of that coffee so he ordered again but specifically asked for “MC”

MC came back and gave him another bright smile that morning, ‘so you liked my coffee huh? Here you are.”

“Thank you, MC.”

“Oh! Someone who used my name!” MC said, teasingly, but it kind of went over Jumin’s head

Oh my god, this coffee is so good

Jaehee never has to get Jumin coffee again cuz good ol’ MC is his new personal coffee girl

Convos became a little more than just small talk

MC’s always asking how his week went and he’d explain business statistics and crap

But, wait, she’d understand?

She went to business school for a while which is astounding to him.

She begins to help him with his ideas and promos, and he’s so thankful

This girl is so strange, he’s never met anyone like her

He actually becomes really interested in her

So much so that he wants to see her more often, so he offers her a job there

Happily, she takes it and quits her coffee job

For a while, they work together and she makes him his favorite coffee without him asking

He really starts to like MC

So much so that Jaehee recommends that he ask her on a date

And he takes it like what that actually worked

And, guess what she said: “Took you long enough!” thats a yes btw

Seven

This boy has a lot on his mind alright

Always workin and hackin so coffee is his life

And he thinks cafes are such cute little places with cute little human beings to swarm~

And cute girls too

This one day, as he was enjoying his third coffee while bein on his nice laptop, he noticed a girl walk into the café

She was really pretty like oml the kind of pretty that makes you widen your eyes and try to look away to not seem like a creep

And Seven wasn’t any different

But, since he was so close, he could hear what the girl was saying

“How may I help you?”

“Um, hi… Hey, your name’s Mario. Isn’t that Italian? I heard Italians are so good at making coffee because they naturally like to espresso themselves~”

Omg Seven was ready to explode he spit up his coffee a little

“Har har…” Poor Mario where did he go wrong he just works there

Seven loved this girl already he had to get to know her name or something

“Name?”

“MC,” she giggled pretty girl giggle

Okay, okay, Seven think

He had a ton of great ideas, but they were lost… somewhere… in his brain

She had already grabbed her coffee so Seven gave up, thinking maybe it wasn’t meant to be anyways

Suddenly, Seven noticed the girl had placed her coffee down on his table

“I’m so sorry,” MC apologized, “just trying to get the keys out of my purse”

“No problem” Seven said with a smile don’t be stupid don’t be stupid

MC gave him a smile and a wave before grabbing her coffee and going to leave

This trainwreck grabbed his coffee and went to take a sip, but he realized “Seven” wasn’t written on his cup

He ran out to MC and called, “wait! Wrong coffee”

MC turned around and glanced at the name on her coffee before laughing nervously, “oops! Sorry!”

“You know…” be prepared here comes the pun “stealing someone’s coffee is called ‘mugging’, you know?”

She bursted out laughing nailed it

Seven was successfully able to ask her for her number and she happily gave it to him

V

Cafés are such quaint little spaces and V loves to take pictures of them even tho, ya know, he can’t really see

He usually goes to smaller cafes to limit his chances of being swarmed with fans and artists (he is famous)

One day, he got himself a nice cup of coffee while he began to observe his surroundings

Then, the magical camera was pulled out and he began to take pictures

Took pictures of the workers, the windows, the customers

At one point he pointed up to take a picture of the door, but a girl had walked in and looked at him in shock

She was beautiful prettier than that witch Rika that’s for sure

V immediately apologized, “excuse me! Just taking some pictures, don’t mind me.”

“Of me?” MC asked with a nervous giggle

“Hold that smile!” V said before finding the perfect angle and snapping a picture “very lovely.”

MC blushed, ‘aww, thank you, Mr…?”

“Call me V.” he smiled

“V… Um, alright.”

“Do you, uh… come here often?” smooth V real smooth I bet she’s never heard that one before

“Well, yeah. This is my favorite café.” she has, but she doesn’t mind it when it’s from this blue-haired cutie

“Ah… Well, I should be going. Thank you!”

“Bye, V.”

Guess which café V went to again?

He was obviously really hopeful in seeing MC again because MC is infinitely times better than Rika

Overjoyed, he sorta sees her in her cute little dress and he pulls out his camera to take a picture

Of course, at the perfect timing she looks up at the lens as he takes it it’s not creepy if it’s true love guys

She lets out a laugh and he looks embarrassed, “Sorry, I-uh…”

“I didn’t think you’d come back,” she smiles

“Well, I mean it’s a lovely little café. Perfect for pictures.”

“I see…” MC began to blush as she messed with her fingers, “Um, hey V? Would you say yes if I offered to buy you coffee?”

“I don’t see why I wouldn’t,” he’d smile, “as long as you’d help me take more pictures.”

“Sounds fair,” she smiled brightly.

Saeran

I can totally see Saeran working at a small coffee shop because it’s just so calming to make all these drinks and talking to a person only a few seconds at a time

Especially since this boy can be really intimidating

I bet you he likes all the nice plants that surround the building too

The people can get annoying though

Because some actually try to start a conversation

MC is one of those people

“Hello, how are you?” she would smile

“What can I get you?” trying so hard to ignore this human being and do his job

“Um, you pick.”

Really. “Me?”

“Yeah. You,” she smiled.

She had such a big smile

“Well, alright. What’s the name?”

“MC.”

Of course, as she leaves she says his name, “thank you, Saeran.” Which doesn’t happen often to him

“Uh, no problem?” He hands her the coffee and she pays him

The day goes smoothly and Saeran thinks nothing of it

The next day the girl comes back, “Hello, Saeran!”

“Hi…” Not her again, “What can I get you?”

“You pick.”

Again, he picks and thinks nothing of it

But she keeps coming again and again and asks the same thing

He sees it as almost an attack or something he just doesn’t get it

“Is there something you want from me?” he’d snap

MC would be so calm “I don’t want anything from you. You just seem nice”

Her smile is just... so bright and her eyes are so sparkly

Saeran didn’t know what to do then

Nice? Nice?? Huh… She thinks he’s nice

“Okay,” he sighed, “well, I’ll get you your coffee”

This poor guy finds it so hard to say this “Have a good day”

MC just gives him her stupid bright smile with her eyes lighting up, “thank you! You too, Saeran”

After that, he starts to adjust to her

“Hey MC.” She’s such a nice girl she always asks him how his day is going

One day, he’s having a rough day and MC noticing so she buys a coffee for him too because he mentioned that it was his favorite

“Hope that makes your day better, Saeran”

Of course it does, he loves the gesture but he doesn’t show it

Finally one day he asks, “Uh, hey MC. Why do you come here so often to see me?”

“I told you I like you.”

“Alright, well, maybe we should actually hang out sometime?”

“As in a date?” happiness levels at max

Immediate blush, “no, just… a hangout.” yeah, a date don’t lie

“Of course I’d love to.”
