so i know i haven't been on top of asks lately. this is true. however, i have scoured my DMs. and my Discord messages. not one single person in there can i have been said to be neglecting, so this can only be about my askbox, i'm pretty sure.

oh, man, there is a wealth of beauty in there. so many good headcanons shared, ideas--it's a meadow of joy and i go in there and frolic sometime. i love all of you who send asks. you take the time to craft a headcanon, or just say something silly, and it's great.

there are a few reasons why i'm not answering asks as frequently, and why i tend to queue them if it feels appropriate/if i know i have some good stuff in the pipeline:

you deserve my effort: i try not to post asks without a proportional addition from myself. you guys put work into it, and i love it, and i want to put work into it back! if i'm not sure what i want to say yet, i may sit on an ask until something comes to me. if you want an olderthannetfic style askblog with minimal commentary...go somewhere else.

i try to stay consistent: this is a multiship blog. it makes more sense to post asks about certain ships when i'm actually writing content for them, so sometimes i save HC asks for when i have actual fics in the pipeline. they also help get my creative juices flowing as warmups on heavy writing days.

i have a life: sometimes my social energy just isn't where it needs to be to answer fandom asks. sometimes life happens, and the details aren't something i owe anyone.

i say this with respect: pick one. parasocial or social. if you'd like to have a conversation with me, then get in my DMs or my Discord. if we're not actually friends, then it's not appropriate, or kind, to talk to me like you have this weird, "bestie, can we chat?" fandom relationship with me when i don't know who you are. if you'd rather stay on anon and lurk and maybe like posts here and there, that's okay too! you are more than welcome to do that. i love you no matter what you choose.

Question for creator, how do you go about making an au askblog? Like, how do you layout what you want to happen, write down the basic storyline, etc?

I was an active writer on FFn back in the days :D And somehow got into Minecraft after trying it out on Xbox!

After a while, I've noticed an askblogging trend on Minecraft, hosted by a lot of cool artists that draws such good art and I was very, very inspired. I also thought it would be a good idea to make an askblog for my fanfic's version of Steve and Herobrine, and noticing a lack of Herobrines who aren't murderous and angry all the time... I've decided to make a chill askblog of two bros.

The people I admired come and go, but my heart comes back to Minecraft regularly for some reason. I think the blocky game is a sentimental part of me now, so much so that I dare torture myself by having one askblog and one original Minecraft fanwork why am i like this I havent updated that one in 2 weeks :'D

Oh my god i am so happy i found another chiaki hater. She's just objectively terrible and seeing her just makes me angry because she had so much opportunity and i just wish they did something with her

I know!!! She’s a horrible character and she does a lot of horrible things as a person too. Her writing is absolute godawful trash. They could’ve done so much more with her! They could’ve made her have some kind of existential crisis about the nature of her AI vs. her actual feelings towards her classmates and things like that. Or they could’ve made her a creepy psychopath who doesn’t care about anyone because she’s a fucking emotionless robot. (I mean, she’s already like that, but they could’ve acknowledged it.) OR they could’ve had her be the mastermind, after getting hacked by the Junko AI. 

I’ve gone into it here a million times, so I won’t get into it again, but yeah, they could’ve done so much with Chiaki. I can’t even say ‘so much more’ because they didn’t do jack shit with her to begin with! She wasn’t even a character. She only existed to be Mary Sue waifu bait. There is absolutely nothing worth keeping in her character or her writing. ‘Writing’ is a fucking generous word. She’s a virtual body-pillow. That’s it. For fuck’s sake, they even make her boobs three sizes bigger in her swimsuit sprites, and put a mole on her tits so you’re forced to look at them. What else is she there for? Fucking nothing. 

Anyway, yeah, it’s always nice to see another Chiaki hater. It gets so fucking lonely hating her lmao. I feel like I’m the only person in the world with my opinions sometimes. And it gets really frustrating to see every other person I come into contact with just fawning over her, and acting like there’s no possible way anyone could ever dislike her. Seeing all that makes me feel like my own opinions are ‘wrong’, and just...frustrates me to no end. It’s one thing to see her be liked, but another to have it fucking crammed down your throat literally all the time. It’s discouraging to see every single DR blog in the world that I look at fawning over her. It feels like a person who doesn’t like Chiaki has no place in the community. (Not to mention I used to get a ton of anon hate for posting bad shit about her.) It feels like I can’t dislike her, or I can’t follow any blogs here, or get involved in the fandom in any way. Cause everyone else loves her, and is either like “WHY DON’T YOU LIKE HER!?” Or “Awww, how stupid! This one doesn’t like Chiaki! That’s so wrong, but we’ll just humor them!” Even the fans who follow my askblog all loooooove Chiaki, and it makes me feel like they’re all laughing at me and disagreeing with me about my characterization of my characters, because I don’t force all my characters to be head-over-heels for her and like her more than anyone else. Because, FYI, her only real friend was Sonia. Unless I want to see “YOU HAVE TO LOVE CHIAKI SHE’S PERFECT BEST GIRL!” shoved down my throat every second of every day, I can’t be involved in the DR fandom. And that’s why I’m not. That’s why I can’t follow DR blogs at all. Because only a small fraction of them don’t post about her. I can’t tell you how many fucking Izuru and Hajime and Mikan and even Miu askblogs I have to unfollow, because they end up being more about praising Chiaki and making her the center of attention than they are about the actual characters running the blogs. It definitely feels like people who don’t like Chiaki have no place here. Like we just can’t possibly exist at all, to anyone, because it’s totally not possibly that anyone would dislike Mary Sue Gamer Girl Bathwater. She’s in every single piece of media about DR ever. I can’t find hardly any fanart or fan videos of any DR2 characters without her in it. Seriously, if you think I’m being overdramatic: go through some DR2 blogs or fanart or videos and see how often you come across Chiaki.

8 AM, preparation of the place. Clean up the office (if necessary). Clean up the animatronics (use cheap color to draw over stains). Get the generator running again, activate the main power. Pre-heat the ovens, check the ingredients. Check if anything is broken or missing. All good? All good. 10 AM, let in the dayshift employees. Employee 1. Kitchen. Employee 2. Price corner. Employee 3. Dayshift worker. Emplo- Mike. The angry-eyed employee looked around, always seemingly knowing more than he should. There should be no blood stains left, there should be no broken things around from any fight. Simon kept this place just the right amount of dirty to ensure no stains that he was unable to remove seemed not too out of place. “Employee?” Simon’s voice was rather emotionless, as always, though he felt his breath tremble in the back of his throat. “… slept like shit tonight.” Mike groaned. “Fucking… whatever.” With that the day REALLY begun, Simon quietly watching over Mike like a hawk. Most of the employees weren’t aware, but during the day the Phone Guy had upgraded to a few more cameras… every corner needed to be under control. Under constant control. There were things he had to do to survive. Things he was beyond willing to do. That was why he survived. Because he didn’t let anything distract him, because he was willing to do the necessary. Freddy’s was a game, and he knew how to play it. It was easier when you turned things into numbers. Customers were a number. Profits were a number. Deaths were a number. Investments were a number. This was a problem that wouldn’t be solved. But he LIKED it. He LOVED this problem. It made him feel so much- more alive! No more numbers, no more calculation, no more- For once he looked at something and it was so beyond anything he had ever seen. He loved Mike’s filthy mouth, he loved his lack of care for the rules, he loved having to chastise him over and over again, he loved how Mike kept coming BACK to him. Oh it’s no trouble at all reallyalthough I would HARDLY consider myself as “””popular””” hhhhiknowlike8peopleI did something like this once before on one of my ask blogs but I’m just gonna trim it up and rewrite it.+*~ Below The Cut For Shitty Jazzy Advice ~*+Be warned it is long and wordy.This is my own personal blog process/blog beliefs.Don’t take all of these to heart fully because there are many ways to do/interpret things. I am simply sharing how i personally do things.If anyone feels the need to add more onto this, feel free to.

First lets get The Blog Theme down.Believe it or not this is actually important and can affect you and your blog a lot more than you think.-> THIS ACCOUNT IS WHERE I GET ALL OF MY THEMES -<Please note there are other blogs like this one, I just use that one specifically.You can also use the default theme that tumblr gives you, there are ways to edit it but I do not know how to edit it you would have to ask someone else.Simple Theme Color rules that I use:- Do not add bright neon colors with black. I love black n neon as much as the next guy but it makes your theme eye burning.- Blog colors can determine a blogs theme as well. A bright colored theme suggests a happy upbeat blog. But this only applies if you care for that sort of thing.- Make the text easy to read. Please even your links in the sidebar make them a color that is different enough from the other colors on your blog so you can actually read them. Use a easy to read font as well.What I always make sure to add in a theme:- Ask Box. Obvious thing to add, never feel ashamed or hesitant to close your ask box if needed. Whether it be due to plot reasons or you have asks piling up. Feel free to close it for the time you need and open it up again when desired.- Submissions Box. Not REALLY needed, I just always add it for ease of access. You can get to someone’s submit box just by adding /submit to the end of their url but I prefer to have a tab for it.- Character page or reference tag. Seriously add a reference page or a reference tag that is easy to find. It’s kind of a turnoff if you don’t have a easy to access reference. Don’t be upset if you feel your reference isn’t good enough. As long as you have a color palette to it you will be golden. Never shade a reference without a normal color palette we are all begging you. If you draw art traditionally, you can always add a color palette in with MSpaint nobody will judge you for that.- Rules Page. Now this isn’t 100% needed. I just add them to avoid getting spammed with questions or like… nsfw questions or something. If you don’t care about that then don’t worry ‘bout it.These are the main things I add to a blog. I also add these things because I’m extra:- Lore/Plot page. This usually contains links n tags to follow all of my plot posts or specific lore posts.- Ask Hints page. This is a HUGE help to people who are shy like me!! I usually can’t think of good asks to send so Ask Hint pages are such a help. I always try to add them whenever I can! Also they can help people ask more plot relevant questions when needed.Other Important things to add to a theme of a blog:- Add warnings. If your blog isn’t going to be happy go lucky, please consider adding a warning somewhere. Whether it be in the blogs description or your rules page. You don’t HAVE to add a warning, but its best if you do. - Add a tagging system if needed. No again, don’t have to do this. Some don’t tag things at all which is fine! I prefer to have tags and tag everything so I don’t accidentally trigger someone or just have peeps upset at me in general. I always have trigger tags, sensitive content tags and OOC tags. I go overboard with my tagging, I am aware of this, but I would rather be safe than sorry.Lets talk about Blog Playlists:- It is perfectly fine to have a blog playlist. Most complain about blog playlists but that is generally only if AutoPlay is on. I’m neutral on blog playlists just as long as the autoplay is off I am good lol. AutoPlay tends to give me a spook. It’s a highly debated thing in the community, but from what i’ve seen people just don’t like AutoPlay lol-> IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE A STOCK PHOTO FOR YOUR BACKGROUND, TRY USING THIS METHOD FOR FAIR USE <-I know most don’t honestly care about fair use of stock photos like this, but try to be fair <3+*~ Onto the character’s themselves ~*+What do you choose as your main pokecharacter?Literally whatever you want. In which case if you would want to be offensive… why? just why? idk shoo bEGONE.- Doing research on the subjects you are portraying can actually teach you things and help you better your characters and plot. Believe it or not… studying something you don’t know that much about will…. help you LEARN??? wow shocking I know. I know I sound sarcastic and rather salty with this, but it happens more than you think.- Portraying a subject you know nothing about just requires some research. It’s honestly not that hard. You don’t always have to portray sensitive subjects 100% by the book. You can add your own twists or portray them differently if you wish! But there is a line between adding a twist and just being ignorant and offensive.+*~ Ask Time ~*+Alright, you got your blog all set up! You are ready to go! Now you need to get out there, get known! Get ASKS.How to go about it?- Get your blog signal boosted. The PokeAsk community loves signal boosting one another! A signal boost can go a long way to someone who is just starting out. If you don’t have a friend already in the community that can signal boost you, try asking a mod for a signal boost! Most mod’s love to signal boost others, go to one of them and ask for one POLITELY.- Make a Ask Call. One of the big ways to get asks is to simply make a ask call. Just make a post saying “Hey I need asks” or something.- Go onto other’s ask calls asking for one. Lots of Mod’s do Ask Calls in which they SEND OUT asks to others, go onto one of those! Ask for a ask! There is absolutely no shame in doing that.- Interact with others in the community. You can’t expect to get asks if literally no one knows who you are. Send asks to others! Get yourself out there! Make yourself known! If you are like me and have social anxiety or have issues sending asks, look for people’s ask hint pages! Send them a ask from the ask hint page!- Make a Ask Hints page of your own. Sometimes people just don’t know what to send you or are too shy to come up with something themselves. A Ask Hint page can help others send you asks.- There is no shame in asking a friend for a ask. There is literally no shame in asking your friends for asks if you really need them. Even if your friends just send them on anon. There is no shame in it.- Make sure your blog is clean. If your blog is filled with randomness that has nothing to do with your blog or is just random content from you, it will be hard for others to figure out what to ask about. If your askblog looks more like a personal blog, you probably wont get that many asks, its a harsh truth. Also again, having a easy to navigate blog can do wonders.- Make your content appealing. This sounds horribly harsh I know but you can’t expect to have others be instantly filling your inbox if you don’t have some sort of appeal. You can’t have around 4 posts of your character doing nothing interesting and expect others to go “oh I wonder this characters backstory is” or something. Spice it up! Make things interesting! You have to have a hook, make others want to question about your characters or your plot. Make them want to know more! Feel like you don’t know how to make things more appealing? Literally just ask others for advice. Even if the advice is criticism, USE THAT to become better. There is no shame in asking others for advice.- Don’t rely. On. Asks. Only. I understand it is a PokeASK community, but don’t rely on asks fully. Not getting any asks? Time to draw some character shenanigans! Do some plot to lure people in! Make us see your characters outside of asks! It can do wonders for character development and will also help lure others into wanting to learn more about the blog!You do not need a constant stream of asks to run a ask blog.If you just sit and do nothing because you have no asks, then guess what? You still aren’t gonna get asks. Sitting around doing nothing will get you nothing.Getting asks can be hard. For literally all of us it can be hard sometimes.Even that blog you think “omg they are so popular they must get so many asks” struggles because I bet you their inbox is full of nonsense that they can’t actually use.Don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t getting any asks, just keep moving forward with your blog and make the community get hooked on your stuff.+*~ Tips on things you should NOT do~*+- Do not force ships onto others. Most of us in the community love shipping characters, but don’t force it. If the other Mod expresses discomfort with the ship or doesn’t want to ship with you, don’t force it.- Don’t god mod others. Don’t waltz into someone elses inbox going “my character totally PUNCHES YOURS IN THE FACE AHAHA YOUR CHARACTER IS WEAK COMPARED TO MINE.”. Unless you and the mod planned that out beforehand, it is mostly unwanted. Don’t try to randomly attack or take over someone else’s plot. Discuss things like that with the mod, if they don’t want to do that sort of thing? Don’t send it. It’s extremely annoying. Also if you aren’t involved in someone’s plot or ask?? Don’t try to reply or force yourself in it. I’ve had people respond to my plot posts that had literally nothing to do with them. Its annoying and disrespectful. Always discuss things of that nature with the mod beforehand-.If you don’t like someone in the community, block them or ignore them. Do not make a huge deal out of it. It takes zero effort to block someone you dislike and move on. I know some go “Oh I don’t block others UwU” but then they go and constantly start crap with others? Just… If you dislike someone move the hell on with your life and leave them be.- Don’t do call out posts unless there is a clear threat to the community. Oh honey I’m so sorry you dislike someone in the community, but please spare me the time of scrolling past your huge call out post for a person who hurt your feelings a bit. Don’t cause the community unnecessary drama with call out posts for things that aren’t really community issues, this includes vague-ing about others publicly on your blog. Call out posts should only be for community threats or something. Is the person you are going to make a call out post on a pedophile/art scammer/submits porn or body horror to blogs/blatenly sends out hate to others openly/sends fetish asks or something of that nature? Then yes that is a community issue that needs to be addressed. Is the person you are going to make a call out post on someone who just hurt your feelings/you had a fight with about something that is only directed at the two of you or your friend group? Then don’t.A community issue is a issue that addresses the entire community, not just you and your issues with someone else. Move on don’t throw a temper tantrum like a child because someone blocked you or something. Nobody cares if you and someone else don’t get along, its private business so let it remain private.CALL OUT POSTS NEED TO REMAIN RARE AND WITHIN GOOD REASON.- Don’t reply to anon hate. Seriously don’t. Even if you have a witty comeback do you think everyone really needs to see anon hate spamming their dash? no. Ignore anon hate and move on. I know sometimes anon hate can hurt you, it can cut you to the core. But please try to ignore it and move on. Always remember that you can turn off anon or block anons. Granted sometimes anon hate can just be a misunderstanding in which case feel free to reply. I’ve had some “anon hate” which was actually just a misunderstanding. There is a difference between clearing up a misunderstanding and fueling anon hate.- Mind your business. If a drama is happening and it has literally nothing to do with you? Mind your business. Too many people try to get involved in drama that doesn’t even involve them and all that does is fuel more crap. Mind. ya. Business. It can save ya from unnecessary drama trust me. You can support others who are victims of drama or something, but don’t just try to insert yourself and make things worse. There is a difference between a supportive friend and a white knight. A white knight attacks without reason, they don’t know the full story nor care to know. Just…. seriously mind ya business.- Did I mention that if you dislike someone you should just block and or ignore them? Seriously. - Criticism is not automatically hate. Too many people take any negative criticism as hate. You can’t honestly expect everyone to only ever have GOOD things to say about your stuff? You aren’t perfect, nobody is perfect. If someone gives you criticism on your art or your writing or character development, listen. Listen to it. Take it in! Become a better artist/writer/blogger. I know sometimes criticism can be hard to take, especially if its something you worked hard on or something you care about deeply. But please know that criticism isn’t always hate. You never even have to accept criticism, granted its better if you try to learn from criticism, but you don’t have to accept all of it. It’s really up to you on whether or not you accept and listen to the criticism or ignore it. Just don’t automatically take any sort of criticism as “hate”. There is a clear difference.Criticism is to help you improve, hate is just to hurt.- Your mistakes do not define you,how you choose to act after the mistakes is what defines you. Have you done any of these things above? Are you worried about accidentally doing these things? I’m sure all of us in the community have accidentally or even purposefully done one of these things once or twice before. But the difference is, we realized what we were doing was wrong. We changed for the better. If you make a mistake, change for the better! Changing for the better can be hard sometimes, especially if you didn’t realize you were doing something wrong. But what it is important that you can get better, you can redeem your mistakes. A apology wont just fix a mistake, the best apology is changed behavior.  You can’t just apologize for sending someone hate and then continue to send hate. That is not how it works.Granted yes, sometimes mod will hold grudges, some mods wont want to forgive you for your mistakes. But don’t let that stop you from getting better.If you make a mistake, choose to become better and redeem the mistake. Do not become your mistake. Doubts tell me; how long could i stay happy and motivated if i was an askblog everyone hates for no other reason that "being a dik" while all i do is trying to make them aware of their potentials mistakes and trying to help them through their Tumblr experience ? Because you see Doubts, sometimes i feel, really deep inside me, that all i do is vain, that the people im trying to help dont listen, and hate me for that. I even feel sometimes that it does affect me. Im not sure if i want to continue.

We’ll start from the top then. If it is validation you came seeking, you likely won’t find it here, just take that as my disclaimer. I’ll also say many people in the communities I take part in do their blogs for fun and aren’t really too concerned with having a perfect art, story, or building the largest following. They might not be seeking critique on these factors. They’re just here for fun and relaxation

Something you may want to consider in the future, as well, is to ask if the artist or content creator is accepting criticism right now before providing it. Not everyone is advertising this. But it helps avoid problems and it’s a simple question to ask.

That said, let’s move to something in the field of interacting with others and why your interactions with these creators may have soured. Something I’ve found from my own experiences, both myself and others, is that if we are the only one that doesn’t think we’re being a dick, we’re probably being a dick. Even if it is just one person, stop and listen, take a moment to consider why someone just said that, what you had just said, and even how you said it. Evaluate yourself. Is that how you would have wanted someone to tell you something? Especially if they are telling you that you are doing something ‘wrong’ or ‘you shouldn’t be doing that.’ Also, try and keep in mind your own biases and beliefs, they might not apply to all situations and some people just have different audiences they appeal to.

If you want an example of how not to go about giving ‘advice,’ an anon recently sent a returning community member an ask that told them that the ask community had been forgetting this member while they were gone dealing with real life and that they should post stuff to get attention again. This could seem well-intentioned to the sender, but that’s not how it reads off. It reads off as callous. Even if not the intent of the sender, it’s still cold and feels more like ‘The only reason people remember you is because you do the thing.’ At best, it was just poorly worded. The well-intentioned, without mindfulness, can come across and crass and heartless. At worst, it was a cold statement to guilt someone into focusing more on their blog then their real life because some anon wanted more updates. 

But ultimately, this is just general advice and thoughts. I can’t provide you with advice specific to your situation or problem, Anon, because I don’t know the details of your communications with others. Hopefully, this helps despite that. If you want anything more specific, you’ll have to come off anon.

Remember everyone, your words resonate with others. They hold weight and impact with them. Try to have empathy and understanding in yours. Try to find the warm ones that build a person up. I’m not saying ‘don’t say something is wrong or off,’ I’m saying ‘don’t be mean about it’ and ask before providing unless they communicate on their blogs they are seeking that advice.

eastern time zone! i have a weird work schedule and usually get out by 10 am - 1 pm or have weekdays off so my posts are kind off all over the place aha!

legit whatever strikes my fancy TBH haha sometimes i get asks that i love but i cant think of anything for them and i save them for some other time if something stikes my inspo. but usually if i can think of something that has more than one word answer and makes me smile i pick that one! sometimes i even come back to an ask i didnt wanna do cause i RANDOMLY THOUGHT OF A GOOD SCRIPT or somehting hahaha

ahhh i love exploring characters different from myself!! i mean i love writing these awkward boys who use silly lingo cause i too am super awkward and use silly lingo BUT i dont play overwatch or listen to the smiths or wanna major in music theory but i feel like michael would like all these things sooo,,, its been fun exploring new things because i want to know more about them for this blog specifically. i dont want to settle on something being their fav just cause i know about it i guess and im having fun with it

it also is nice to explore thingS ive dealt with myself through these boys in a healthy way using what ive learnt about myself and others. i deal with dependency issues and i always read michael as having them as well? but i didnt deal with them in a healthy manner for a while and ive learnt how to be better about it. and just ,,, being able to help these fictional boys in a way i struggled with is really refreshing and helps me a lot

Akane Taira, please! Thoughts on her? She’s my favorite.—Timeline Anon

Good news for you she's my Danganronpa Another favourite too!

Akane is a really interesting character because when you play through Danganronpa Another, she is basically your helper character throughout the game, being really supportive of Yuki, helping out during the investigations.

And while a lot of helper characters tend to be quite stale until the latter chapters, Akane has had revelance in all the Chapters, as she was targeted for murder in Chapter 2, which lead to her being in a heroic bsod during Chapter 3, with Tsurugi as always making things worse by saying she should unalive herself. And then in Chapter 4, its Yuki who ends up snapping her out of her funk and she manages to tell Tsurugi exactly how she feels about him. By Chapter 5 her confidence is so regained that since Yuki cannot do the comic book summery at the end, she does it instead being the only non protagonist character to recieve such a honour.

She has very good chemsitry and interactions with all of the cast and as such when the mask drops and its revealed Akane was one of the masterminds, it wiill hurt you a ton. Most masterminds are either in the background or the most boring character imaginable, but Akane was different. She was someone you developed a deep bond with throughout the game and to then learn all of that, was a lie? No wonder the survivors didn't take that well as neither would the player!

Well as it turns out not all of it was a lie, as we know her backstory how she grew up in a sucky orphanage before Utsuro saved her, how she stuck by him and how they both fell to Junko. Akane and Utsuro's relationship is the most amazingly toxic relationship I have seen because dear god do these two make live hell for each other. I have never seen such a disasterious pair together.

Yet despite having committed many acts of sin, despite being the reason everyone is going to die, Akane still grapples with her morality and eventually, she cannot ignore the siren call of atonement and decides she wants to be good for once. And for seeing the light what does she get? Death.

That is 100% a manwha moment there because LINUJ like every South Korean ever, cannot tolerate someone atoning for their sins as Akane did too much evil and she had to die. She was meant to survive in the original draft but manwha moment means she has to die because all evil people need to perish. Sometimes I wonder if Tsurugi Kinjo was meant to be the Big Good as that's how LINUJ sees the world.

Its even worse when you consider that in SDRA2 she was meant to have the mother of all comebacks as Sora was gonna be her but without memories. Buuutt around Chapter 4, people guessed that and LINUJ since we already know he commits a lot of writing sins does the one dick move a writer can do; change the plot twist so they can say "gotcha" to the audience. It never works, it just ruins the story and you look like a insecure dick doing so.

On the other hand that meant Sora wouldn't have been her own person so it kinda is a mixed bag. Naturally since everyone sane knows Akane was hit with the Manwha stick so hard she was braindead, many askblogs have given her redemption. She is a major character in A Student Out of Time as she was Sora's main ally before she joined and she is namesake of the second harem in the blog, Hotel Akane. In Despair to Future Arc she is Nagi's Obi Wan Kenobi, advising her on the ins and outs of Divine Luck and making sure she's the only good Divine Luck user, while also coming to terms with her toxic relationship with Utsuro. And while she just showed up in Survivors, I have a good feeling she's gonna to be a very important character there.

Its also interesting to note that Mikado's original plan before Rei and Teruya did a raid was to be like Akane; supportive and kind to everyone before the mask slips and he becomes a monster and the reason why Junko kills Mukuro is because she saw how Akane betrayed Utsuro and didn't want history to repeat itself.

Akane Taira is a girlboss of a character and she should have deserved better but she fell victim to the manwha moments.

He talks about yelling at people, took his brothers for granted, calls people fuckers and idiots when he’s mad and I get the impression that with his delusions of grandeur he milked his success for all it was worth and used that time as an opportunity to feel superior and successful for once and quite simply give himself whatever it was he wanted for some time. Allowing himself to act however he wanted too. You get hints about this kind of demeanor throughout the blog, especially when he’s upset. But frankly, I think he’s been upset this whole time thinking about how nothing could change, how he couldn’t change anything about what direction he was going in because he really didn’t think he could. And then he slipped up and lost the seed. His last hope to not be a fuckup and come out as somewhat of a hero in the end despite how he acted. He probably didn’t think it would matter back then. The way he talks while holding the seed just oozes with selfishness. This part is really fucking sad. Plus a lot of it plays out in LQ’s mind: what others think of him. He doesn’t seem to believe that love can be unconditional that one day if you appear to be shitty enough people will leave and he braces himself for that constantly. This note is long, but this is a very important part of his story and a clear view of his past.

215. I’ve said it once. I’ll say it again. I FUCKING LOVE HQ. I love how he…antagonizes and challenges LQ. I love his charismatic way of speaking. I love his energy. He’s wild. He does sometimes refer to LQ as separate. How could he not? They ARE separate. HQ tends to aggressively oppose everything LQ does and I wonder what caused HQ to exist. Is this what LQ wanted?

218. Well…so that’s why LQ’s mother started to avoid him and never spurred him on. She knew that Once-lers were bound to fail. I kinda wonder if that notion of failiure caused LQ to think less of himself...oh, probably.

219: So HQ is pretty much kinda like LQ’s…”true self” (insert persona joke here I suppose) so it makes sense for him to insult the followers as much as he does because LQ was probably holding his tongue somewhat. But HQ kinda takes LQ’s…truthfulness and bumps it up to 50 so in a case where LQ is mildly irrated, HQ just amplifies it to a screaming fit till it’s impossible to ignore or shrug off. LQ also perceives himself to be rather horrible and HQ definitely drives that peg in.

220. LQ was apparently distrustful and managed most of the tasks of business on his own and not very well either. Comparing this to previous things he’s  said , suddenly it doesn’t add up. A while back he mentioned that he shouldn’t HAVE to work because he is CEO but I think maybe he just didn’t want to get the credit for running his business so badly. Not to mention he had widely forgotten things back then.

221. Frankly when HQ is calm it’s really hard to discern him from LQ and he does. Get really calm at some point. I could picture LQ saying these exact things in previous posts. LQ doesn’t always lie, afterall. And HQ is not as much unlike LQ as people would think. But HQ kinda is a separate school of thought. I guess some part of LQ really wanted to be honest about everything and say everything that was on his mind and not hold it in anymore.

222. Wow. LQ really knows his METAphysics. (As in he understands perception of reality quite well.)

223. LQ is pretty much aware of everything you do. All your lewd questions, all your ships, everything. He just keeps his mouth shut because…common courtesy, eh? Even if talking about these things makes him ache. And just the way LQ defends this  makes personal sense to him. He believes that since he has an askblog people have the right to ask him whatever they want and he can’t be too mad at them cause otherwise he wouldn’t be running it properly. Never the less, it hurts and though the hints are there throughout the blog, HQ makes it painfully obvious here and then. And he gets really mad too, so LQ is clearly rather mad and fed up with it himself. LQ also mentions that he never should have..what? Talked about it? Yelled at his followers? Questions.

224. Okay, also now that I’ve read his blog through I really understand how LQ and HQ are one in the same because I remember all the ways that LQ has acted in the past and making these notes expanded my understanding. Perhaps the most unprecedented thing about the blog is how the followers are going to react and the majority of them seem to think there is no way that he and HQ are one in the same.

225: HQ sorta explains that why he’s there is so that the truth wouldn’t be coming from LQ himself. HQ’s kinda like a scapegoat.

226: LQ honestly does inflict a lot of punishment on himself.

227. Static Oncie was attacked by LQ because he stood for the hope of not messing up for good and LQ didn’t think he had made any mistakes. Static Oncie continues to be an enigma, however…I’m still trying to figure him out.

228. Shout out to Corv who kept LQ alive by feeding him like a mother bird. Good bird man.

231. Well, LQ honestly explains it well saying that some part of him probably got mad at him for not taking charge or a sense that when wandering in his thoughts they took control.

232. It’s pretty hard for LQ to have to push himself to face what he’s done and remember it when it hurts so much. But the latter isn’t exactly good for long either. It seems hard for him to find the right way of going about things.

233. From this angle you can see that LQ’s wall has blood on it and it’s only more obvious by how the static gathers in front of it.

240. Again, this part is rather hard to read. Litterally because most of it is supposed to be obscured. Frankly…what I’m starting to understand about HQ is he’s the part of LQ that wants to improve to some degree. What other reason would he have to be so honest? He also reacts in shock to LQ not responding in the light of holding a knife up to his own throat. HQ also tends to plead and question the other side of him. It hadn’t occurred to me but among many of my thoughts HQ is kinda like a manifestation of survival too. He’s aggressive as a last resort. He kinda acts out of turn and does whatever he has to do and overtime he just never gives up. He keeps trying different things and I think it might be for the sake of trying to get better. What would it be alternatively? Punishment? Later posts really nail that notion in, if you ask me.

245. I kinda wonder if LQ doesn’t want visitors and doesn’t want to leave moreso on the basis that he’s scared of being judged and hurt by others as opposed to “Oh I’m an aftermath and that’s just what I do.”

246. LQ claims that he met HQ when everyone first saw him.  I had another theory but maybe LQ is telling the truth here too…or is he? Did he maybe just not know what was going on until HQ truly stepped in?

247. LQ is convinced that he’s not a good person. Is he really as bad as he says? That’s almost never the case.

248. It does seem like HQ and LQ can feel different things at the same time so it’s quite likely a sort of split personality conundrum

250. Honestly it’s so cruel that LQ can’t really keep anything to himself. But there is that entire dilemma of wanting to know something someone won’t tell you. Of just being curious an then having that curiosity satisfied. Sorta the nature of an askblog and opening yourself up for questions, isn’t it?
