saxloch has really taken over my brain. when I sent you that prompt a couple days ago (where lochy goes mute) I also came up with a second idea and but figured maybe I could try to work on that one myself instead—and then of course I promptly forgot my other idea 😭 so last night I was trying to work backwards to try and uncover the lost idea, but I had read your post about wanting to read established relationship saxloch and instead came up with a whole new fic idea. My brain is overrun!!! I’ve never even written a fic before and i’m not sure I could if I tried, but my brain is buzzing buzzing buzzing with it.

Give them to your hero, your protagonist, make it a part of their character while keeping them a character that's being written to be loved.

Make them real, give them depth, give them attention and love without judgment, show the struggles and the bad sides real as they can be don't necessarily make them bad just as it doesn't with real people.

Everyone deserves to see themselves represented. If in doubt do more research, its worth it! Its always worth it. Meet people who have the disorders and disabilities, ask questions, see them, they're real too.

Don't keep neurodivergency to what's palatable and light, and god forbid childish, that dehumanizes us too.

Honestly, I love it when characters relapse. When someone who’s gotten over their anger issues falls into a situation so out of their depth they fall back on their old habits. When someone who’s learned to open up becomes a recluse again in order to cope with something outside their control.

There’s just something so horrible, so toxic, about watching a character grow and then slip back into their old selves in order to cope, bc you know they still care, that they’re the same inside, but watching them hurt so hard they don’t know what else to do brings a sense of catharsis.

It's really quite upsetting that it took 11 pages to put into words everything I wanted to say but never could. Every brutal truth, every painful realisation and the heartbreaking nature of hindsight laid out bare.

Part of me wonders how massive the difference these few sheets of paper and the words on them could have made to my life if I'd understood them sooner, said some of it earlier, said a lot of it at all, or whether it would have made any difference whatsoever.

At least it's all there in front of me in black and white, and not in my head a huge mixed up jumble of words and emotions. I've let it out and now it's gone. First time I've ever done anything like this... I can see why people keep diaries.

not to sound like a boomer, but I need some people to learn how to write emails in a semi-professional (at the very least) format so you're not cold emailing a business/potential employer/any other stranger about formal matters in the exact same way you'd DM a close friend on instagram

the formality/language can loosen up in the email chain once you've established a rapport and you match the other person if they're being less formal, but please don't have the very first email you send a stranger be written in all lowercase ultra-casual sms slang with no greeting or signature and a billion emojis
