Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

THE MANIPULATIVE PARENT FIGURE HAPPENS AGAIN!!

It's sad to see so many people not understanding the complexity of what we have seen in Act 1 between Caitlyn and Vi. There's no fucking reason to hate on Caitlyn, she's a victim of the big whole, just like Vi.

Her grief, overwhelming and the manipulation of Ambessa is clearly shown in several scenes. Jinx kills people in every fucking Scene, she's literally a terrorist, noone bats an eye. Caitlyn breaks down under the weight that was put on her from one day to the other and snaps? Everyone's hating.

"Make it make sense" Of course it's wrong what she did. But almost no one would have been able to keep being rational after all this. And I'm sure will understand this soon.

No one can't make me hate her. Everyone who has gone through hard times knows that you've done things you realized later that they were wrong, or stupid or whatever.

(I trust the writers and the progress of the story.)

Plots the entire war escalation between Piltover and Zaun

Is behind the attack at the Memorial for Caitlyn's mother, to make her rage even more and put even more pressure on her

Uses her as a puppet in her plan by putting her in a position of power she's not ready for

actually i loved 11's run, i think a lot of it gets just wildly misinterpreted because when 10 behaved like that the narrative might semi-subtly nod to him being a dick but it didn't really hold him to account and preferred to focus on how sad he was about this latest problem he had caused himself. whereas 11. does not get that. but i think the parallels to 10 and the learned expectation that the story approves of his actions or at least will be too chickenshit to openly admit he fucked up makes people somehow think the series/characters/writers approve of however he's messed up this time.

especially the amy thing. the doctor accidentally makes a child fall in love with him and she basically goes mad and self-destructive because of it and is a dick to her everyman boyfriend while the doctor is never going to marry her because what the fuck. i suspect a lot of fandom does not want to think too much about what the obvious comparison being made here is.

if you approach 11’s era assuming it was written as a weird wish fulfillment fantasy by the worst human who ever lived then yeah that’d probably be horrible. i’d hate it too if i had done that. but to me it was just not pulling the punches on the "oh my god what the fuck have you done this time" things that the doctor occasionally does. he fucks up, it causes problems later on, but we are not just sweeping it all under the rug at the end of the episode while he cries at the camera and goes back to being a straightforward hero. which i love! but i also feel like this is for many other viewers the reason they get mad at/about 11.

I think it is real, but I haven't seen the letter itself. You saw ONE obvious mistake and called him uneducated. But your tongue turned to call him cute, I'm shook. 🙄

"When in our detention center, the so-called Red building, where convicts sentenced to life imprisonment are held, was undergoing repairs, it was exactly on their floor, i.e. on the ground floor. I don't know how it is in other places, but in our detention center, while I was there, repairs of various kinds were carried out all year round. Well, it was just some kind of the end of the world =) They began to dismantle the floors, apparently they were doing something with pipes, and the rats became so uncomfortable that they decided to rush to where the floors were more intact, i.e. to the cells =D And just imagine: so I sleep at night, I don't touch anyone and I wake up to the squeaking of these cute creatures coming from the toilet =) I boil the kettle, pour boiling water into this stinking abyss and realize that they're swimming somewhere there, and they just need some hot water to be added =) In general, zero emotions =) Well, okay, I went back to bed. And then this sweetie climbs out all covered in piss, it's been who knows where, excuse me =) Like it strolled businesslike through the toilet and dived back about its rat business. Well, nothing to do with local history, of course =) But I remembered something, and I decided to share!"

arthur hearing merlin say he will not follow arthur to camlann and while he is upset, he still can’t bear the thought of just leaving merlin behind. arthur writing a letter and leaving it for merlin to read if he never returns. arthur falling in battle and merlin holding him as he passes. merlin not returning to camelot and remaining in ealdor for years before he is able to return and see his friends. he plans to stay but the moment he sees the citadel, he knows he won’t be able to. merlin wandering the streets of camelot and the halls of the castle like a ghost. this is arthur’s kingdom. every stone, every wall, every blade of grass, every tree has his name etched into it. the entire city is arthur. merlin finds himself turning to speak to arthur but he’s not there.

finding gwen who is ecstatic to see him and plans to offer him the position as court sorcerer but merlin refuses. he explains how he sees arthur everywhere. gwen confesses she feels the same but derives a sense of comfort from it, its as if he’s still with her. merlin saying it feels haunting, like it’s taunting merlin with arthur’s presence but never giving it to him. merlin saying he has to return to ealdor and take care of his mother. gwen telling him to be safe and asking if he’ll return to visit. merlin only managing a weak smile before walking off and gwen mourning again knowing that’ll be the last time she sees her best friend.

leon carrying the letter arthur had written to merlin for years in the hopes that someday he’d see him again to give him the last thing arthur wrote. running into merlin in the halls and greeting him. offering him the letter and explaining that arthur wrote it for him. merlin shakily taking it but being unable to open it. he keeps it preserved in his bag but never reads it. he won’t be able to take it. he knows it. merlin carrying it with him for years, decades, centuries. by the time he finally works up the nerve to unfurl it and read it, the parchment is so old it crumbles, the ink has faded so its almost illegible, and the language has long since died so merlin can’t understand it anymore.
