OH btw I've been playing a few trials with them and my experience so far? First trial I was scared shitless- BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! THEY ARE SUCH A COOL CONCEPT FOR AN ENEMY AND THE EXECUTION IS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!

The only problem I have is THE FUCKING SPOT RADIUS THEY HAVE AND THE DISTANCE ARORA CAN TOSS THOSE POISONS AT- GURL TELL ME WHO TAUGHT YOU TO THROW LIKE A PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER?!?!?

And their dialogues? Brother in Christ... I would stop dead in my tracks trying to figure out if some of the shit I heard was actual dialogue or if I am fucking tweaking. I can't wait for the peeps over at the wiki page to upload the voice lines for the Kress siblings and the new Prime Time lines for other Prime Assets about the twins! BUT SOME OF THE LINES ARE PURE COMEDY GOLD FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD SO FAR!!!

i wonder what kris thinks about the player’s resets or other playthroughs

i mean, obviously we have the whole thing of them being controlled, which is an obviously upsetting matter to them, but i wonder what they think of other routes— if they’re aware of them, that is

i think its also interesting to think about this while taking into consideration deltarune’s release through chapters

lets say kris is aware of multiple routes. that’s basically time loops, if you think about it. the player restarts from the beginning and follows one of a few paths. i mean, sure, theres a lot of options of what the player can do, but in the end its either a mostly normal route or a weird route. a time loop.

now, when deltarune first came out, it was just chapter one. it was an infinite loop of practically the same stuff every day. it’s terrifying for kris, considering theyre being controlled. but its even more terrifying that, in kris’ perspective, its an infinite loop. its just that first chapter, for on and on.

then chapter 2 released.

its a normal loop, at first— the player goes through chapter 1 normally. but how world shattering would it be to kris, to wake up and it be the next day? to have new interactions after who knows how long of not having any?

i think itd fill kris with a sense of hope that perhaps, finally, theyre out of the loop. sure, theyre still being controlled— that’s terrifying in itself. but maybe theyre hopeful that this means the end is newr

then it repeats again.

the constant loop that they had gone through continues to repeat again and again. this time, however, its just extended and somehow worse. i mean, kris has to go through the whole interaction with noelle likely multiple times. thats gotta be absolutely devastating

and i mean, this just continues to repeat, y’know?? kris goes through the cycle of time loops and timelines, then finally, finally, another chapter releases— theyre filled with hope that the end is near��� and then ir repeats, just longer than before.

and i mean, eventually no more chapters are gonna release. whatever happens with the player controlling kris in the future will be known of course, but. the time loop cycle doesnt stop. there wont be new content. the cycle wont extend anymore, but it wont stop repeating.

sorry if this is a nonsensical ramble its kinda hard to put what im thinking into words. also i know this isnt canon im just spouting some ideas

Malevolent posting uhh I think the idea of John ‘existing’ outside of Arthur’s head as a sort of ghost/shadow that no one else can see and can’t touch anything is both mildly funny (for the expressional range) and kinda. sad.

Because all I can see is Arthur going through the wringer again and John so desperately wants to help, but all he has is a single left hand to work with. So, even though Arthur can’t feel it, and can’t see him, John, I think, would smooth back his hair — or at least pretend to do so — and hold his shoulders steady, cup his face. Trace lines over his bloodied knuckles, adjust his tie, fake-fix him up as best he can. Even though it’s futile and fake.

But maybe Arthur can sense him. Like, the hairs stand up in the spot that John is touching. It’s subtle, and maybe it’s just the wind, but there’s something … soothing about it. Calming. He grows to appreciate the tenderness of it all.

ok as per my last post I pointed out how forehead touches seem to be a semi-common form of affection in zaun but now I'm really interested in the origins

perhaps I'm delusional but hear me out

okay so if you don't know; the main deity that Zaunites pray to (even if we don't see it much in the show) is Janna, who is a goddess of air. league players don't come for me this is what I know from doomscrolling reddit. Fresh, breathable air is near impossible to find in the undercity, which is the main reason why many Zaunites (especially children) pray to her: for the ability to breathe and survive. It's also easier to observe that many Zaunites are selfish in terms of that ability to breathe, as seen with the control some people keep over the masks with the Grey and stuff. stay with me here-

When you're so close that your foreheads touch, you're in a position where you can practically breathe each other's air. And in an area where it's so hard to even breathe without shortening your lifespan, it's an affectionate and even intimate way of saying that you won't be selfish with them, that you would either survive together or die together.

With technological advancements such as the ventilation system and even Zaunites like Viktor and Vi being able to travel outside of Zaun, it probably doesn't hold as literal of a meaning as it did in the past, but it definitely seems to still be a thriving, cultural form of affection for those from Zaun, hence why we see it with caitlyn/vi, viktor/jayce, and vander/silco.

i like to think annabeth can pick up percy

as they’ve gotten older it became harder since he’s taller then her and weighs more so like if he threw himself at her she might stumble and not catch him per-say but if he’s sitting or laying down she can lift with her legs and move him from one place to another

when they were younger she would do it much easier and it was the funniest shit ever

since she’d been training much longer then he was she learned to stand like a statue so he really could throw himself at her and she could do a pretty good job at catching him and walking around with him like a sack of potatoes

they probably found this out when he was fighting with clarisse at like 14 and they’d all had enough so selina pulled clarisse out and annabeth just kinda yanked him away and threw him over her shoulder

after this it became quite common annabeth did it mostly just bc she had a big fat crush on him and it was like the best way to get close to him and it was funny for everyone involved but it also became common practice for literally anyone to do this

charlie definitely did percy perched on his shoulders a lot but he couldn’t sway too much otherwise they’d both topple over and clarisse definitely did just bc she could but percy HATED that

i also think it took a while for percy to do it back like it was his GOAL for a long 4 years to manhandle them back

he’d randomly walk over to charlie grab him around the thighs and LIFT he’d get charlie a good foot off the ground and call that a win clarisse never let him actually get that far but by tlo percy could carry annabeth easily and it’s like one of his favorite activities now

especially if annabeths studying and not giving him attention (and it’s not smth that’s like deeply important) he’ll pretend he’s going in for a side hug but slip his arms behind her back and under her thighs before lifting her up and throwing her over his shoulder

or when she falls asleep in the grass at camp he’ll pick her up bridal style to a more comfortable area

they both have a habit of fake sleeping in uncomfortable spots just so the other will pick them up and move them

CHATT I never post Alien Stage on here but I find it necessary to share some analysis I did for Ivan’s new song Paratise because BOYYYYY DOES IT HAVE ME TWEAKINGGG. My friends and I analyzed the teaser for it a couple days ago and when I tell you WORD FOR WORD BAR FOR BAR WE WERE CORRECT IN ITS MEANING!! Ok anyway… (shout out to suyeonr2 in the yt comment section for the translation, we couldn’t do it without you)

Ivan combined the terms “paradise” and “Parasite” on purpose and its genius.

Ivan wished to leave an impression on Till no matter what so he wouldn’t forget him. It was a selfish act of love and he did that through his death. And by the time Till noticed his affection it was too late, it was already the end. Till would only notice his romantic feelings once he’s already dead.

So his memory, the visage of his dead body and confused feelings are stuck inside Till like a parasite. For Ivan this is perfect! Living rent free in Till’s head is his own paradise! But for Till it’s a parasitic entity, one that ended up draining his life in the end.

AND THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY BECAUSE IVAN KNOWSSS HES CRAZY IN THE SONG. We get the emotion that he knows deep down it’s wrong but he wants it anyway aaaaa hence the name “Paratise”. It’s two halves of a whole tragedy.

Like right here we see how it’s almost like a symbiotic relationship even though Till really doesn’t benefit from it in the slightest. AND THE REFERENCES TO ROUND 7?? Ivan wanted to haunt Till’s whole being down to the music coming out of his mouth and he did that. It costed Till his life in the end so I wonder if Ivan would be satisfied knowing the memory of him was so painful to Till that it killed him.

This whole thing is messed up in a way that perfectly highlights the tragedy of Alnst. Not only are they being forced into a death game, but they also don’t understand love like we do.

Looking at this from a purely objective standpoint it’s toxic in every sense of the word. Till not understanding his feelings, Ivan wanting to die so Till can look at him deeper and remember him regardless of what it took. But looking at it from the perspective of alien stage this changes. For normal humans like us it’s toxic but for them it’s sweet. They don’t have cultural norms like we do so they act like “animals” in the sense that they’re pets. It’s all they have.

Like they said in the beginning, the true meaning of “human” has been lost, and if to be “human” is to believe in “god” then that’s what they’ll do. But they don’t know what “god” is. It’s just someone they love wholeheartedly (obsessively). They revolve around them like the earth around the sun. But this is unhealthy. In healthy relationship advice you’re told to NEVER do this because humans are imperfect and when you put your trust in an imperfect being both of you crash and burn. We see this a lot in Alnst —> Mizi after sua died , till after Ivan died, and now Luka after Hyuna died.

But they don’t know that because humans need something greater than themselves to keep them going. Chat not only is Alnst tragic it’s also a commentary on the human condition when put in situations as extreme as this. They’re literally a textbook abusive/toxic relationship but it’s all they have. It’s tragic man.

thinking about how roy and keeley in a way encourage jamie to be childish and to be experience the joys of childhood that he missed out on. not in the way that they like infantilize him but in the way that they can watch him heal these wounds through permitting himself to be vulnerable and in touch with his inner child. they’d go to disney world and gladly watch jamie get giddy on all of the rides and excited to see the parades and shows. or watch jamie collecting seashells on the beach shore and make a sand castle. they’d watch him and phoebe color and never forget just how free he looked. watching jamie experience the joys of being a open and vulnerable human for the first time is so beautiful.
