I loved your drawing(and I love your style in general) with Leia in your recent post! If/when you have time can we see more of her in your style? I get so happy whenever I actually see people mention/talk about her and she’s not just forgotten because we didn’t get to see much of her. 😭
thank you! 💙💙💙 Leia/Leah/Lea/whatever is fascinating to me. she is the ultimate unknown. what was she like? how involved (or even aware of any details of the invasion) was she? Silver's basically a physical carbon copy of his biodad, so what did he get from her? like, I understand why the two of them kind of have to stay as these super vague and mysterious figures -- the whole point of them is that their story ended 400+ years ago and they're not really relevant anymore (and. well. the more that gets explained about them, the less that can just kinda be handwaved as "oh the politics were Very Messy") (we can sit here and theorize all day but let us acknowledge that, ultimately, canon gave us almost nothing about them post-Meleanor and we'd just be making things up). I do still wonder about her though! RIP Lea, we never knew you and we probably never will.
actually you know what, as long as we're here, I think I WILL go ahead and just make some stuff up about what Silver might've inherited from her instead.
#art#twisted wonderland#twisted wonderland spoilers#twisted wonderland episode 7 spoilers#twisted wonderland book 7 spoilers#twisted wonderland episode 7 part 13 spoilers#twisted wonderland book 7 part 13 spoilers#there may be answers somewhere that i just forgot about so uhhh if so#whoops ( ᐛ )#having one of those art days where chances are good i'm just gonna wake up and throw this post out the window so be warned#but yeah idk. i've talked before about the parallels between silver and dawnatello and how i see him as basically bad end silver#he chose the easy option that let him stay loyal and fulfill the obligation he felt to his adoptive family#he knew it wasn't right and that he was being manipulated but he went along with it anyway until it was too late#i think he ultimately had a good heart but my man folded under the slightest bit of social pressure like a wet mcmuffin#so while i'm continuing to make things up out of whole cloth i wanna say that by contrast#lea never had a chance to do shit but if she had i like to think she would've had a spine like galvanized steel#like just personally i don't think she knew much about what the silver owls were actually doing#seriously does henrik seem like the kind of person who would tell her shit about anything#i think he basically took advantage of their dad's failing health to go off and be a warmonger#and if he thought about lea at all it was to be like :) you stay here and do boring domestic princess stuff#while i tell your husband to Do It For Her#i mean this is 100% me writing baseless fanfic here#i just think it'd be fun if the part of silver that was IMMEDIATELY like 'actually no. we aren't doing this.' might've come from her#she just never got a chance to show it#(it didn't seem to come from the knight is all i'm saying)#lilia might've given silver a billion complexes but at least he raised him to do the right thing#man someone left a reply or reblog on an older post and i cannot find it so i apologize for the lack of credit BUT they pointed out#that one of the big differences between silver and the knight is that the knight's family did not really seem to like him very much and lik#yeah i think so. lea might've been the exception there for him.#rip ma'am we'll never know if you deserved better or not

In your Spitfire AU, since Zuko is looking after Lu Ten II, what happened to Ursa?
Zuko is slightly older in the Spitfire AU. He was banished at fifteen, his head a little clearer and denial a little weaker than in canon. After his first look through the Air Temples, Zuko decides that if he can't find a myth, he might as well search for the next best thing.
Finding Ursa isn't easy, but in time he makes it to a secluded house in a near-forgotten part of the world. His mom is there, older and stronger and alive.
But she isn't alone.
And Zuko, as it turns out, didn't keep the best company during his search.
When Ursa is discovered and her secrets are laid bare for assassins (for Ozai) to find, she begs Zuko to take his little brother and run. She'll do anything it takes to protect her children, even if that means leaving them behind to keep a target off their back. Ursa diverts attention from them and allows Lu Ten's ancestry to be kept a secret. She orders Zuko not to follow her again, and disappears.
Zuko is left with a little three-year-old brother to raise and a mother he cannot hold onto.
#dema answers#atla#spitfire#Spitfire AU#prince zuko#atla ursa#Lu Ten II#The Ursa/Hakoda parallels are going to be insane in this one I swear#It's okay tho#It's absolutely intentional#(The other option was killing her. But I happen to find family conflict and abandonment issues way more compelling to write)#Luckily Zuko isn't alone. He's a mess of course—and raising the little brother you never knew you had isn't easy.#But he has Uncle and (once those loyal to his father have been taken care of) he also has his crew.#Look three years into the future and you've got a six-year-old Spitfire running around the ship and giving Zuko early gray hair#Ursa will be reunited with them in the future. I just don't know when would that happen yet.#Probably post-war#She returns to her children only to come face to face with their overprotective found family (aka the Gaang)#Their reunion would be quite messy at first but...it'll all be okay#They all love each other deeply. And sometimes love isn't enough. Sometimes there are things that you can't forgive or forget.#But Ursa did everything she did because she loved them. And Zuko knows that. Zuko understands that.#(He was forced to make the same decision in Ba Sing Se—giving yourself up and leaving the people you love behind so that they're safe)#(He understands)#But Lu Ten II doesn't#He doesn't remember Ursa. Not really. He knows of her what Zuko and Uncle tell him. But he doesn't remember ever having a mother.#(Tara is soft and warm and kind to him. She holds him and takes care of him and makes sure he's well-behaved. And he loves her.)#(Is that what makes a mother? Or is it the blood you share?)#Ursa isn't much like Tara. But she loves him dearly—there's a reason he has the name of someone who was so dear to her.#She is Lu Ten's mother. Zuko's mother. Uncle's sister.#And she isn't like Tara. But she loves him even if he can't remember her.#So maybe he can learn to love her back.

✨ ISAT-themed to-do list game ✨
"Because doing dishes is the real time loop"
Set-up
Make a list of 10+ things you want to get done. If your list is on the smaller side, add a repeatable (like "put away eight things").
Make a list of three fun break activities.
Find a friend or randomizer that you can play rock paper scissors against. I think this website would work well, but you can also use a d6 and say 1&2 are rock, 3&4 are paper, and 5&6 are scissors, or any RNG website. Just throw your move first, then roll the RNG.
Decide on somewhere to take notes, like the side of your to-do list or your notes app or something.
Gameplay
You're on the first floor of the house, and you've just run into a sadness! Complete a chore from your list to defeat it. You can run around on this floor for as long as you like, and for every sadness you defeat, you earn one Memory of Defeat. Tally these up in your notes.
Defeated a couple sadnesses? (Or at least one?) Now you're ready to face the floor boss! For each Memory you've earned, you can attack one time by playing rock paper scissors -- cross out a Memory tally in your notes each time you attack. If you win a round of RPS, your attack hits and the boss is defeated! If you tie or lose, you can use another Memory to attack again. The battle ends when either the boss is defeated, or you run out of Memories and the boss kills you.
If you die to the boss, you loop back to that floor, to do some grinding and earn more Memories so you can try again.
If you defeat the boss, cross out the rest of the Memories you earned on that floor. Then, it's snack break time! Do one of your fun break activities.
Repeat for floors 2 and 3. Remember, if you have any floor 1 Memories leftover after defeating the floor 1 boss, those don't roll over to the next floor.
After the floor 3 snack break, it's time to face the King. You can attack the King one time for every Memory you've earned so far, used or unused, from any floor. (This time, delete or scribble out the Memory entirely when you use it to attack.) You have to damage the King three times in order to defeat him, and if you run out of Memories he kills you.
If you die to the King, loop back to an earlier floor with doors open to do some more grinding. When you're ready to try again, touch a tear and loop forward to fight the King again. (The damage rolls over, so if you damaged him twice and then died, you only need to damage him once in your next battle to win.)
Any subsequent times you lose against the King, loop back to an earlier floor with doors closed (aka, to a snack break) so you get another break before you keep grinding.
If you finish all of your tasks, you earn Memory of Success. You can now attack the King without using up Memories of Defeat. If you run out of time/energy, loop back to Dormont. Get some rest so you can try again tomorrow if you want, by either looping ahead to where you left off or starting fresh with a new list of tasks.
When you defeat the King, you talk to Euphrasie and loop back to Dormont! You're done with chores for the day, and you can hang out and relax as you like! ... Until you're ready to face the house again. But that's tomorrow's problem.
Tips and House Rules
I recommend breaking big tasks into steps and grouping tiny tasks together, so that each sadness fight requires a similar amount of effort. Or, you could decide that bigger tasks reward you with multiple memories.
Since you don't know beforehand how many tasks you'll have to get done, if something has to get done today you should put it near the top of the list.
If you want, you could put easy tasks on floor 1, medium on floor 2, and hard on floor 3. Or split them by room in your house or whatever you'd like.
If it doesn't matter which chores you get done today as long as it's some of them, you could use RNG to decide which task to do next.
If you have bizarrely average luck and win every third round of RPS, you'd need to earn 3 memories on each floor in order to beat the floor bosses and then the king, for a total of 9 tasks completed -- but of course, it could end up being higher, or as low as 1 per floor. Keep this in mind when deciding on the size of the average task! If each task (and each break) takes about 10 minutes, then an average game would last two hours.
If your tasks are pretty small and you want to get a lot of them done, you could give each floor boss 2-3 hp instead of 1, and then give the king 5-10+ hp.
For extra challenge mode, you can decide that damage against the King doesn't roll over. Better stock up on Memories before you face him, because if you die you're back to square one!
@todogames There you go! ISAT game! Now, we better get some rest while we can. We have to be ready for tomorrow... So we can finally face against the King!
#in stars and time#to do game#this is such a long post. i love to come up with complex parallels and then explain them in detail#you know what's really funny? i spent 3+ hours writing this instead of doing tasks#but!!! now i just get to do the tasks now instead‚ as a game!#rb.isat

What is it with fantasy high and girls dying before their lives ever began. How we can never really know who they are, or who they could’ve been. Brennan Lee Mulligan I will find you
#ramblings#fantasy high#dimension 20#fhjy#fantasy high junior year#lucy frostblade#yea yea this is obviously about Lucy. but also..#um#penelope everpetal#(collective booing from the crowd)#(I am dragged off the stage)#jokes aside tho#they both have that quality of haunting a narrative (Penelope specifically in the seven and Lucy in fhjy)#they’re gone. their stories are over. and yet#they have a hold over the ones they left behind#we will never truly know Lucy past anecdotes and old stories#penelope was an array of false faces and honestly? we’ll never know her either. all we’ve got is that old picture of her and Sam#and obviously Lucy was kinder. she definitely didn’t deserve what happened to her#while you could argue Penelope got what was coming for her#but the fact remains#Lucy Frostblade and Penelope Everpetal we’re both teenage girls who we can only catch glimpses of. forever#in some ways#they’re the same. dead girls who never fully leave. their ghosts still visible in the corner of your eyes#anyway rant over I’m just obsessed with d20 girls and I can draw parallels from anywhere#I might make a more… comprehensive post about this one day who knows

nickel and balloon would be so much more interesting if people explored the way nickel became everything awful that balloon used to be but so much worse ironically all in the name of "protecting" everyone from that history repeating. and not softboy tsundere yaoi or whatever is going on in those tags rn
#meeple.txt#inanimate insanity#iii they could so easily make me hate you.#nickloon arc was the worst thing to ever come out of iii#unnecessarily long and stupid and hilariously poorly written#i actually feel insane seeing how many people just accept it at face value as The Canon#i know it Is canon but i dont care. Heart❤️#we need to bring back the fandom energy of collectively rejecting the shitty writing#nickloon arc did not happen its ok. take my hand#in my heart nickel digs himself a deeper hole of denying he did any wrong and everyone at most tolerates him#fits his character built up by s2 so much better and parallels other characters too#somewhere deep in his head i feel like he knows hes wrong. but by god it should not have been that easy to ''fix'' him#hes going to deny it until it kills him bc that means facing any regret or deeper feelings he doesnt wanna deal with#and that means admitting he made mistakes which is a huge blow to his ego#and his Cool Tough Leader personality#hes not gonna give that up so easily#and i dont think its in character for him to change within the timeframe of the show tbh . at least with the time they have left now#thats like a post canon Maybe to me#the only way ill accept it really

daycare sign in the basement you will always be famous
#my post#''what are you talking about'' the daycare sign in the basement. we all know what this is#''do you mean the theater?'' no it's in the basement. it's by the laundry room#idk what it means either. i think it's a leftover from the utility tunnel system that got scrapped#and it just never got removed since no one was looking that hard#it's also another nessa and dca parallel. since the door that she comes out of is the same door that leads to the hallway with the sign#so that's a big part of my utility tunnel theory... since how else would she get in that room#especially since she's last seen in the daycare... and the mission that takes you to that basement is after the daycare lol#i think. idk it's been a hot second#anyway it's a really stupid thing to obsess over since it's such a meaningless mystery but alas. i've seen no one else mention it#i wonder if there are other signs like that... iirc there aren't but then again i was never looking#i specifically mean signs that lead to nowhere... signs that lead to dead ends and such

Oh wait is it a toxic family when the father refuses to take accountability and instead blames the kids for his mistakes? And as a result the kids are unwillingly shoehorned into roles where one is the golden perfectionistic never allowed to criticise the family child, and the other is the black sheep difficult selfish disobedient child?
And the golden child is about to explode because he’s never allowed to have his own opinions and so when he feels real frustration at his father, he can’t land the blame there and so he’s conditioned to blame his sibling instead?
And the black sheep child just takes the criticism and the blame and learns to become overly defensive, because he’s learned no one will watch his back but himself, not even his sibling?
Oh wait it’s not a toxic family.
It’s Scuderia Ferrari
#take all the misplaced anger between Charlos and direct it at Fred Vasseur#may Charles and Carlos both realise this#look this post is parasocial and I take that#but it’s literally a toxic family dynamic#it’s a situation where each party becomes more and more entrenched because those patterns are the only way they can defend themselves#Charles is in a pattern where he thinks if you just respect what the team says it will all be okay#because it must be okay? right? right?#Carlos is in a pattern where he has lost all trust in the pit wall and needs to start strategising for himself#and almost seems to accept that Charles will come out of the car angry#and it’s all rooted in Fred Vasseur and the team’s absolute lack of accountability#how hard is it to say to your drivers ‘we messed up your strategy’#‘Carlos should not have been parallel to you on pit exit’#‘we should have pitted Carlos earlier’#but no. Ferrari won’t. and I know they haven’t because there’s not been a lick of accountability publicly#here’s the thing. I have my own opinions about whether Carlos or Charles’s reactions to media after the race were appropriate or not#but what I am convinced of is that those reactions of frustration and defensiveness come from this exact team culture#and the pattern reinforces itself again and again#charles leclerc#f1#carlos sainz#las vegas gp 2024

oh yeah did you guys know that the official hsr twitter accidentally posted this cutscene art

with, uh, this guy's sword in the background

and that sword also very much appears to be the sword that killed cyrene

and it also happens to look like, uh. phainon's sword. haha

i don't know how many concrete conclusions i want to draw from all of this but man. isn't that something to think about
#like idk there's the idea that That Guy is phainon from the future. traveling back to obtain all the coreflames#which is a valid possibility given all of amphoreus's time fuckery#like. this is a kevin kaslana. this is a guy with a good heart and heroic intentions who polarizes himself to an extreme#and shoulders an immense amount of guilt while committing atrocities because they're a surefire way to stop the honkai i mean black tide#the lives of millions Now for a guaranteed future and the continuance of civilization... obviously it seems like an insane decision to make#but when you're looking at the bigger picture too hard you neglect the little details. this is what kevin did#he distanced himself so much and only looked at the bigger picture and eventually the sacrifice of countless lives for the greater good....#while it was never Fine it became necessary to him. because no one else could offer anything more than bandaid solutions to the honkai#and that's what the chrysos heirs' current plan is! a bandaid#repossessing the coreflames just creates new titans essentially. it's not a guaranteed destruction of the black tide#maybe they can push it back with their new powers but now they're also susceptible to its corruption#and the cycle will just begin again in a few generations. which is where the idea of one person obtaining ALL the coreflames may come from#i'm not sure how that would completely eradicate the black tide but we also don't know enough about it or the coreflames themselves yet so#answers to be obtained in the future.........#anyway the point of that tangent was that yes i do think phainon is 100% capable of killing cyrene (and mydei. and the tribbies. everyone.)#there's also a conversation back in hi3 between kevin and elysia where elysia asks if kevin would kill her to save The Majority#i suspect phainon and cyrene (&co tbh) will parallel that conversation. just a hunch i've had since i read it#anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy i won't maintag this or anything because akgbjdbdgjf they clearly didn't mean to post THAT#but they did. and i saw it. and i'm going to think about it now. if you see this you can think with me

in your own words, describe the story suburban legends is trying to convey
aaaa i'm so sorry it's taken me literal months to answer this 😭 this is just such a Fascinating song and i realized i did not have many pointed thoughts on it at the time, so i wanted to properly sit down and try dissecting it and put as many thoughts as i could into it
On its own, I think Suburban Legends tells a story sort of similar to imgonnagetyouback: this sort of undefined, on-again off again relationship that is sort of romanticized within the narrator's mind as being a "quest" to conquer. imgonnagetyouback feels like it has more history to its story, while Suburban Legends feels a bit newer and rawer, but ultimately, I think the gist of their arcs is similar.
I will admit, I don't particularly find this general interpretation of Suburban Legends to be all that interesting to me just on its own. However, I am extremely obsessed with how many lyrical and thematic parallels there are to other songs--especially to ones written after 1989. A few days before TTPD came out, I made a playlist chronicling a narrative that (at the time lol) I felt might be relevant to fathoming what we might hear about in TTPD. I also wrote up a breakdown of said playlist, because even though it included like 4 hours worth of songs, I made it in large part because I could not stop thinking about the sheer amount of parallels between Suburban Legends. I break them all down there, but some of my favorite ones are:
"You were so magnetic, it was almost obnoxious" vs "your magnetic field" and "it's gravity keeping you with me," in addition to this general idea of magnetism in the first verse also paralleling the themes of songs like Invisible String, Glitch, and Willow
"I didn't come here to make friends" vs "I don't want you like a best friend" and other friends-to-lovers type lyrics that tie into the magnetism theme ("I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this," "We were supposed to be just friends")
"I broke my own heart cause you were too polite to do it" vs "I broke his heart cause he was nice" and "I pushed you to the edge, but you were too polite to leave me"
The second verse using the setting of high school as a metaphor for becoming a public power couple trying vs the high school metaphors/setting of Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince and the Folklore trilogy
These parallels (among many of the others that are a bit too intertwined in the playlist to break down here lol) are a big part of what compels me about Suburban Legends in the context of her discography post-1989. It feels like it slots perfectly into the relationship breakdown that preludes TTPD, specifically in how it echoes the same sort of nature of how the relationship came together in Reputation and Lover. This sort of cat and mouse, will we or won't we undertone of behavior, coupled with an underlying sense of this inevitable, fated pull. We were born to be suburban legends. Our mismatched star signs would surprise the whole school. You were so magnetic it was almost obnoxious. Somehow, this was always destined to happen.
And that makes considering the ending of this song all the more interesting.
Because there's a sort of Cardigan-like premonition running throughout the entire song. You kiss me in a way that's gonna screw me up forever. I broke my own heart cause you were too polite to do it. You don't knock anymore, and I always knew it, that my life would be ruined. All of these feel very "I knew everything when I was young" to me. Which is definitely apt for this song; "suburban legends" as a concept in and of itself plays on the idea of an "urban legend," a form of modern folklore. They are propagated via word of mouth and the waves of popular culture, not tangible, scientific proof--which again highlights the inevitability of the central relationship. (Small additional side note about "urban legends;" though not all of them are inherently based around horror and the supernatural, those are still very common themes of many well-known urban legends. Which, taken in conjunction with how she is positing her relationship with this person as being a "suburban" legend, draws an implicit line between the gossip regarding their relationship, and the horror undertones of urban legends, indicating that there is some sort of component about the relationship which is to be feared. Which just! Food for thought next to songs like The Albatross, Blank Space, Slut, etc)
Ultimately, that Cardigan-like premonition isn't enough to deter the narrator from pursuing this relationship. Despite this story ending with her leaving, despite this only being a temporary moment in time and not something that would last forever, she still sought to pursue it. Because as depicted in the second verse, her fantasies about what could be consume her so fully, she is incapable of letting it go, even though she is well aware that she will likely be "screwed up forever." She simply cannot let any "what if?" come to pass. Which is just the quintessential theme of so much her discography, truly, and why TTPD ultimately became the powder keg that it is.
And if I may go on a bit of a self-indulgent diversion for a moment.... I once again must highlight how this feels like an evolution of the aftermath of the Speak Now narrative, and how the impact of those experiences affect the narrator's choices and behavior in the aftermath. Though I've been going insane about how well you can use Suburban Legends to analyze and enhance that storyline of Reputation through TTPD, I also think there's room for interpreting it in the opposite direction, and seeing how it reflects the mindset of the narrator at the time of Speak Now/Red:
"You had people who called you on unmarked numbers in my peripheral vision. I let it slide like a hose on slippery plastic summer, all was quickly forgiven" vs songs like Foolish One, Superman, Babe, Girl At Home; calling back to themes of infidelity/lack of commitment on the part of the muse, and the narrator's tendency to forgive and forget in the face of being personally hurt (you could also thematically tie Innocent into this, of course).
"You were so magnetic it was almost obnoxious, flushed with the currency of cool. I was always turning out my empty pockets." vs songs like Dear John, The Story of Us, Foolish One, Treacherous, All Too Well, I Almost Do; connecting directly to the prior themes of forgiveness and calling back to that running theme of being so completely taken in by someone that it feels like fate, or a gravitational pull. Comparing the muse to something rich and out of reach ("flush with the currency of cool") in opposition to her ("my empty pockets") in order to highlight how unaligned they are vs the age/experience/maturity gap explored in Dear John, Foolish One, and All Too Well.
The entire second verse being her living in a fantasy of being able to be a public relationship with this person, specifically in part because she gets to spite everyone who doubted her ("our mismatched star signs would surprise the whole school") vs Ours.
"You'd be more than a chapter in my old diaries with the pages ripped out" vs Foolish One and Superman, and the distance she depicts between her and the subject of those songs in contrast to the relationship she wants with them; the way the reality of the diary in Suburban Legends contrasts with the fantasy of the class reunion, and also how the association of a diary with childhood contrasts with the association of a class reunion as something attended by adults later in life. The way this yearning for a fantasy out of reach and pairing childhood with the yearning for adulthood is simultaneously depicted in Foolish One (and later, The Manuscript): "Maybe someday when we're older, this is something we'll laugh about over coffee every morning while you're watching the news."
"I know that you still remember [...] when you told me we'd get back together, and you kissed me in a way that's gonna screw me up forever" vs, once again Foolish One. And also the implications of "I know that you still remember" vs All Too Well.
This was a very broad spiel because I am completely incapable of ever doing anything succinctly, lmao. But ultimately, I think that Suburban Legends' story is generally straightforward on its surface. To me, it's a song about being consumed by the best possible fantasies presented to you by a relationship and indulging in them despite the shaky foundation of the dynamic. To me, it's shaking hands with songs like Treacherous, IKYWT, I Can Fix Him, etc. in how it depicts a scenario of someone seeing the red flags in a relationship, but choosing to pursue it anyway, because being haunted by the "what if" would hurt more than the actual pain of the relationship ending.
Because at least that's something she knows will happen. At least that's something she's in control of. This time.
#i listened to that linked playlist while writing this and it took me a solid 2+ hours of those 4 dfsdfsdfds#this was fun!! very fun to revisit my pre-ttpd suburban legends fathomings and seeing how well they hold up#and also thinking about it in an entirely new way in regards to the Narrative™ of it all#but ughhh Yeah. i could maybe have yapped more about the conclusion#and how the fear of not knowing/not having control drives so much of Everything#how you can see parallels between allllll of this and songs like mastermind and i think he knows and mirrorball#because speak now is the catalyst for everything and the fame and romance narratives are intrinsically intertwined#and the impact of that lack of control manifests in So Much. its why glitch is a Thing and why that relationship even Could last so long#given things like the bolter and bejeweled and you're losing me of it all#but i cannot just make this a narrative yap sdfdsfds#everything comes back to speak now and the narrative To Me but not everyone else#but thank you for letting me be indulgent for a bit sfsdfdsfdsf#asks#darkbluetennessee#analysis#suburban legends#the narrative™️#error 321#long post

Been thinking of making a tierlist of my thoughts on all the teams for a while so here it is!! As you can see, I am indifferent to or hate most of the league... 😶🌫️🫣 which is why I generally say I'm more of a Canucks fan than a hockey fan lol
#a lot of these rankings are emotionally charged and based off of the fight for the western conference wildcard spot right now...#apologies to any of my mutuals that are fans of teams in the lower tiers#to be clear there are still players on the teams in “actively praying for your downfall” and “oh you exist” that I like#bedsy on the h*wks#flower on the wild#sid on the p*ns#not a player but my queen jessica campbell!!#etc!!#also note that there is quite some distance between the top tier and the one following it#i do like those teams but nothing comes close to my canucks brainrot#i fear becoming attached to this team at the ripe age of like... 3 might've caused a permanent shift in my brain#the reason i'm somewhat attached to the leafs is so stupid#like it's largely because i like most of the current top players there and feel bad about (and relate) to their first round struggles#and i feel like the canucks and leafs are paralleled in so many ways. that's a whole other tangent.#but like. when i was a kid before i knew what the hell was going on#or how to read. i thought the leafs were just the canucks. because they both wore blue.#as you can guess i was a brilliant child.#one of my first memories is being posted up in front of our big bellied TV and watching a nucks away game against the leafs#and just not being able to tell who were our guys.#in my defense the canucks had a lot of alternate jerseys so it felt viable to me that that could just be another one#for the sharks it's mostly because i'm a sucker for an underdog story#(NOOO way REALLY??? a canucks fan??? obsessed with underdogs? never woulda guessed!)#and for the hurricanes it's. i don't know really. i think i liked that “bunch of jerks” marketing tactic from a couple seasons ago#anything mocking don cherry gets a thumbs up from me#and a player (i think his name was zach??) on the canes (at the time) liked my shitty canucks edit on instagram one time in like 2018#and my friend and I freaked out about it#i wonder where he is now.#anyway i've typed an essay in here but that's okay. I love dropping lore nobody asked for#if you're still here here's a kiss for you: mwah!#vancouver canucks

every day i grow more annoyed at fandoms giving so much importance to shipping to the point of ignoring everything else 🙄
#like i get it. shipping is fun. we all ship characters and it makes us happy and all that#but people are way too serious about it. there will be one character who is loved until they 'get in the way' of a ship#suddenly they are public enemy number 1#they will mischaracterize the fuck out of that character so that people won't ship them with their fave character#every time an episode of a show is released. or any time new gaming content comes out. or any time a new book from a series is released#all people ever talk about is the romance / shipping#and ofc they fight aaaaaall day every day#cough ff7 fandom looking at you especially#like can we talk about other things.... the themes. the character arcs. the parallels. the plot twists. idk man#there's so much in a story but when you engage with the fandom is like nothing else exists#and i know that fandoms have always been like this but i feel like it's either gotten worse or i'm just now seeing how exaggerated it is#i'm ngl i'm super tired of shipping wars. is it EVER that serious!!!!#i'm seeing all these ppl in the s3v3rance fandom hating on the characters (especially the women because of course) bc of shipping#and it's like...... who cares!! 😭😭#makes me wish this season hadn't focused so much on romance. this was inevitable unfortunately#it's what's inspired this post tbh... media like this one shouldn't be reduced to that 💀💀💀
