once my drama group went to Stratford upon Avon to see a play and while we were there I bought some Star Wars badges to go on my punk jacket and the guy at the counters asked if I liked Star Wars and offered me a free poster. I was so happy and went around showing my friends the free Star Wars poster I got and when I unrolled it it turned out to be a rebel moon poster instead and I still feel a burning sense of betrayal

you know what personally bugs me?

JK Rowling writes a childrens story about a child who is treated differently, isn’t like other kids, IS FORCED INTO A CLOSET BY HIS FAMILY and then it turns out that actually he’s not a freak he’s special and magical and he gets to go to a place all years where he finds a family and people like him who care about him AND THEN HAS THE SHEET AUDACITY TO HATE ON TRANS PEOPLE like gurl the lgbtqs and all the +s ARE GONNA LOVE YOUR BOOKS and then it turns out she’s horrible and a holocaust denier and transphobic and I think if your transphobic your also homophobic because you can’t pick and choose you either want equal rights and for people to be respected or you don’t. Just a thought of course we queers are gonna gravitate to your magical books about how actually your special not an outcast

Mutant Musings

I read an Alex Ross comic once where this guy talked about how the general public didn’t hate the fantastic 4 but did hate the X-Men because one group got their powers from an event and the other were dirty mutants.

my question is how would the general public know who’s a mutant and who isn’t?

“well I mean the fantastic 4 are fine we know who they are, same with iron man and captain America! But Falcon? I once saw him talking to some pigeons I bet he’s a filthy mutant!”

there’s definitely a Daily Bugle headline that just says “SPIDER-MAN MUTANT???” And so he got some negative attention for it

but imagine like “Well that daredevil guy I’ve never seen up close but he seems to just be come kind of acrobat, but that punisher guy? He should be dead by now he just have a mutant healing factor!”

But then some mutant powers are so vague you could argue

“Hawkeye is a bit TOO good at shooting arrows MAYBE HE’S A MUTANT!!!” And that leads to like say someone gets a new hobby and they’re not even a superhero like

“Kevin suddenly took up rock climbing and he’s real good… you don’t think do you…?” And beast! “Well I mean beast he was on the avengers so maybe… and he took a potion to make him like that so is he a… what’s our consensus on hating beast???”

“isn’t wolverine like a cyborg I heard why is he sticking up for the filthy mutant X-Men?”

BEST DOCTOR

Might cause some arguments, but my favorite doctor is 9.

I love how snarky and fun and the “cool uncle who’s been to prison” vibes he gives. I love his leather jacket and shaved hair. I love how silly he is with Rose and Jack. I love the whole NineJackRose polycule. I love how sweet he is. I love him so much.

He will forever be my favorite doctor. Christopher Eccleston portrayed him so perfectly.
