hey guys so i'm gonna be going on a hiatus until the beginning of july bc i have camp and stuff .. also i'm working on a big project (( that does involve art )) with a friend so i may not be drawing as much myself :)

oooh look it's art so i tried a line-less style ?? idk man i think i like it this isn't technically pride but i mean he's my #1 gay bab sooo have some beautiful malfoy genes not quite sure where he got the good personality from tho .. also sorry for the ridiculous blurriness the file was being weird ..

art tips post

for all the artists following me

draw fast. it’ll look messy for a long time but you’ll improve faster than if you spend 4 hours on every drawing

if you draw in pencil and have a habit of erasing all of your mistakes, try drawing in pen or marker. i know it’s scary but it’ll help in the long run (i’m speaking from experience)

try different methods and mediums but don’t worry about mastering any of them, just have fun

if you’re not rich, buy art supplies from the dollar store, not the art store (seriously. i go through a sketchbook about once a month and i’d rather spend $4 on one than $15)

there’s no wrong way to learn. you can copy other people’s art if you want to, just don’t post it

DO NOT worry about having a consistent style. do not. just draw however you want

if you want to make original characters then do it. don’t worry about if they’re original, or a good design, or if they have an accompanying story. make sonic ocs. do it. it’s fun and it’s not hurting anyone

try not to kill your back. stand up and stretch once in a while

make a folder and save all of your favorite arts for inspiration 

draw from life. draw your dog. draw your teachers. draw your desk. draw your own hands (seriously that’s the best way to get better at drawing hands)

in general, drawing from life or a photo is better than drawing from a diagram

draw whatever you want. draw youtubers if you like youtubers. draw undertale if you like undertale. when i was a kid i drew nothing but shadow the hedgehog and horses. everyone deserves to draw what they want without being mocked, and if people start making fun of you, block them and keep drawing

don’t expect to get any notes at first. don’t let it discourage you. if you want validation go show your art to your mom or your friends or your teacher or your grandma

take breaks, but don’t give up.

I am a trans queer guy and this year I am not just celebrating pride for myself, but for everyone who can’t.

I’m celebrating for the people that live in countries that kill queer people.

I’m celebrating for the people that live in religious homes that criticize and demean queer individuals.

I’m celebrating for the people who’s lives were taken last year by a homophobic racist.

I’m celebrating for the trans women of color that fear for their life every time they walk outside.

I’m celebrating for the bisexual men who are told they can only be gay or straight.

I’m celebrating for the lesbians that are sexualized for straight men and tossed aside by straight women.

I’m celebrating for the gay men that are treated like objects by straight women because they want a “gay best friend” and ridiculed by straight men.

I’m celebrating for the non-binary people who get left out of trans discussions and are invalidated by transphobes.

I’m celebrating for trans men who don’t have a huge place in the media and are fetishized by cis women.

I’m celebrating for the aromantics and the asexuals who ARE a part of this community, even if you are straight and cis.

I’m celebrating for the pansexual people who are told their sexuality isn’t real.

I’m celebrating for the people in and out of the closet.

I’m celebrating for anyone who can’t and everyone who can.

This pride I am celebrating because the queer community is alive.

I’m celebrating because it is 2017, we have a monster in office, and we are still alive.

We are still fighting.

We are still trying our hardest to make this Earth a place we can feel safe on.

I am celebrating because I still have hope.

I have a love affair with hardcovers. They’re elegant and sleek and sometimes when you take off the sleeve there’s a surprise on the cover. But then other times I really love paperbacks because they’re so casual and cool like they won’t take it personal if you fold over a corner. And then there’s ebooks which are like epitome of convenience and I can hold a library in the palm of my hand. I just really love books
