summary. Nashira Estelle Mafloy had always known she would end up going to Hogwarts, given her family's rich magical history. Well, ending up in Gryffindor was not on her to-do list and neither was befriending the boy-who-lived. God, why couldn't she have a normal school life?

somehow I've spiraled into a rabbit hole of lilypad friendship and I LOVE IT
Sirius and Lily's friendship headcanons:
- Lily paints Sirius' nails and does his makeup all the time (not the hair, only Remus can touch his hair)
- they like to jam out to muggle music a lot
- constant teasing each other about their crushes and then boyfriends later on
- they sit opposite the fireplace together, comforting each other about their sibling
- Sirius goes through Lily's wardrobe A LOT and she can never find what she wants cause Sirius stole it
- Sirius telling Lily about how amazing James is, and Lily makes him promise to stop doing it but he can't and only manages not to talk about James for 5 minutes
- Lily helps Sirius realise he's gay
- Sirius helps Lily realise she likes James
- Lily shows Sirius gel pens and he starts using them in every class
- Many, many shopping trips to muggle shops in the summer holidays
- They went to madame puddifoots once as a joke but kept going back cause "they just have nice tea, ok prongs!!"
- Lily loves studying next to Sirius because if she says a question out loud Sirius will answer it without realising it
- Lily draws on his arms, hands, any skin visible which made Sirius want to get tattoos
- Sirius bows to her and says "milady" when greeting and Lily in turn curtsies and says "good sir", they have no clue how it started

Okay so I've been thinking about this a lot, so here is how I imagine Lily Evans/Potter:
Lily who always leaves the house with open hair but ends up putting it in a messy bun after approximately 3 minutes.
Lily who paints her nails the same color as her hair.
Lily who's nail polish is always chipped because she picks it everytime she's nervous or bored.
Lily the plant lover.
Lily: "Yes James, I know that our house is full of plants, but just look at this tiny precious thing, we have to adopt it, it'll suffer here if we don't rescue it."
James: "Lily for heavens sake we're in a garden center, not an orphanage."
Lily who braids Sirius hair.
Lily who's favorite color is green.
Lily who loves wearing bright colors that clash with her hair color and somehow it always looks good and fashionable on her.
Lily who has a huge closet overflowing of bright or patterned cloths but only has 2 plain shirts.
Lily who only has 3 pair of shoes: one pair of running sneakers, her favorite sandals for every day and a pair of heels for special occasions.
Lily who's favorite flowers are Petunias and she has them all over her garden.
Lily who's extremely protective over her plants.
James:"Remus, Sirius, who stepped on Lily's Tulips?"
Sirius:"How would we be able to do that James? They are in a pot on the window board."
James:"Not these Sirius, the ones in the garden"
Sirius:"Oh yeah that might have been me"
Remus:"Lily's gonna be hella mad" James:"May god protect you Sirius"
Lily the biggest Lgbtqia+ Ally there is.
Lily who loves fashion.
Lily who doesn't dress fancy often but when she does prepare to get your breath taken away.
Lily who usually never wears makeup but she's damn good at it.
Lily who calls James Evans sometimes.
Lily:"Oi Evans, wanna go on a date with me?"
James:"Lily we're married and have a child and also you took my name!"
Lily who gossips with Remus about everything. Literally everything.
Lily who protects Sirius with everything she has and if anyone dares to insult him she's ready to kick ass.
Lily who comes up with ridiculous nicknames for the Marauders because "if you can come up with nicknames for yourself I can call you what I want fly swat".
Just Lily.

percy jackson × daughter of hecate!oc
summary : did four months of somewhat normal teen relationship equal to seven months of break? whatever, all sabrina knew that when she finally got her boyfriend back, she wouldn't ever let percy go!
Masterlist
Sabrina Garcia stood on the deck of the Argo II, leaning on the rail as wind swept up her auburn hair making it fly everywhere. Behind her, Leo wrestled with levers and fiddled with his Nintendo Wii, speaking angrily in Spanish which she didn't bother commenting on. It was fun having another extravagant speaker on board but she wasn't in the mood to talk.
While she was on the topic of talking, Piper was doing a fantastic job in her charmspeak practice, so much so, it made Sabrina want to rip her bracelet off and propose singing stupid campfire songs with the undoubtedly queasy Romans underneath the shadow of the massive hull of their trireme.
Annabeth paced around like a maniac, murmuring about a bazillion backup plans for each backup plan. She had deep bags under her eyes. Sabrina had found her passed out in the hall of the Big House that very morning, wrapped in a giant image of the U.S.A and a compass, hands marred with marker ink—the same one that made scribbles on the map.
Jason Grace was probably the sanest amongst their crew. He was standing on the bow of the raised crossbow platform in an orange T-shirt and a white toga. As Sabrina made her way circling the ship, their eyes locked and he offered her a smile. He really was like a golden retriever.
While Annabeth rounded them for a last minute discussion, Sabrina stayed behind. She had heard the plan more than enough times to recite it from memory.
Down below, the scenary of Oakland Hills came into view and so did the large valley nestled under the foot of it. A river in the shape of G emptying into a sparkling lake beside which Camp Jupiter stood proud, the hippodrome, the neighborhood of Seven Hills, the coliseum, the fort of Via Principalis, everything was so picturesque.
Sabrina didn't know what to think of Camp Jupiter. It was so different from back home, different yet beautiful. It provided a safe environment for living—not a literal cult disguised as a summer camp.
Her hands felt shaky, knees wobbly and she was sure it wasn't entirely the effect of her breakfast or lack thereof.
Camp Jupiter was right there!
If Sabrina decided to be extra stupid, she could jump overboard. While the idea of turning into human ketchup splatter was not appealing, she wanted more than anything to just rush down there. The thought of ushering Leo crossed her mind but she dismissed it quickly.
Nope. Focus. Your love life cannot fuck up this quest. The world is in danger of destruction!
A loud crackle rang through the air alongside a loud boom. At first she mistook it as Jason summoning thunder but the gruff voice that greeted them was indication against that possibility.
The giant statue of Terminus warned them against landing the Argo II on Roman soil. In less than five minutes, he had managed to diss the warship, knock Piper off her feet, win an argument with Annabeth—which in itself was a huge accomplishment—and threatened to blast them off the sky.
Sabrina, cloaked by magic, walked casually towards the group. Peeking over, she saw the legion reinforcements had arrived making their so-called enemies a hundred stronger. Blue eyes sweeping the surroundings of their impending doom, her breath hitched.
Oh, Holy Hecate—she saw him.
There he was, Percy Jackson, in all his unkempt and tanned glory. His hair was slicked in one direction as though he had just taken a trip to the beach. He was taller, leaner and had gained more muscles.
The thought of him made heat flood to her face. His hands were thrown around two Romans, a cute boy with a black buzz-cut and a gorgeous girl with honey-colored curls.
But the purple T-shirt he adorned made her stomach sink. Right, even so close, they were eons apart.
He wasn't the same guy she knew till last winter, no matter how much she tried to convince herself otherwise. He was a Praetor now, the most important rank in Camp Jupiter. For all she knew, he had moved on with his life, from CBH and from her.
"Leo, stop the ship!" Sabrina called out, dismissing the invisibility spell.
"What?"
"She's right, do it", Annabeth agreed, flashing a concerned look at Sabrina. "The law states that we cannot land beyond the Pomerian Line, there's no harm done in hovering over it. Not technically."
Terminus hesitated but did not stop them as the group took the ladder and they climbed down to the forum. The crowd parted as she made her way through the camp.
It was more of a permanent settlement—the aroma from the bakeries, the guilded columns, flawless architectures, terraced mansions, cute neighborhoods, domes except those destroyed in a recent scuffle and lots of beautiful fountains.
Her eyes scanned the people who wore the exact same look of wariness. It took Sabrina a lot less trial in figuring out the leader. It was the way Reyna carried herself with such confidence, maintaining a pokerface all throughout.
But Sabrina's search went on for the sea green gaze she had come to adore. The moment their eyes met, she looked away hastily.
A lump of white-hot anger, bitterness and guilt grew in her throat. It hurt so bad. All the nights she would muffle her sobs with the pillow, lest she wanted her siblings to be startled awake, the borderline crazy search for Percy and jumping at every opportunity to find a single clue of his whereabouts.
And there he was...
Her hands shook involuntarily. In her peripheral vision, she noticed the gathered people occupied by talking with Annabeth and Jason.
Sabrina walked backwards till she got lost in the swarm, away from the eyes and from him. She felt like a little girl but she would take the accusations of being childish any day over facing her fears headfirst. That's how it had always been.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid", she chanted like a prayer, walking through the winding streets of the foreign camp. It was no wonder she got lost, that was an impulsive decision on her part. Sabrina couldn't start to imagine the uproar she must've caused when her friends realized her absence.
Or, maybe they were glad to get a break from the ball of anxiety and gloom she always imitated these days.
Gods, she had been such a bad friend. Everyone had worked hands on to prepare for the quest while she got off easy with the sympathy card. She would make up for it, Sabrina vowed to herself, one way or the other.
Right as she was about to take a turn, a hand grasped her wrist. She was immediately on high alert, right hand creeping toward the bracelet on her left one.
"I hope you weren't thinking of shooting me as soon as we met, Red."
Shit.
A sob caught in her throat. That scent she could recognize anywhere. She let him turn her around without putting up much of a fight.
"Are you crying?" He sounded amused.
Sabrina was cringing mentally. Good job. Now your own boyfriend thinks you're pathetic too.
To her surprise, he threw his arms around her, pulling her close till there was little space separating them.
The redhead froze. "Percy?" Her voice quivered.
"Hm?" He snapped out of his trance, showing her a huge smile. "Sorry, I just... missed this—missed you."
His finger traced her face, thumb swiping the lone tear that trickled down her cheek. "Now, can you tell me what's making you cry?"
For the first time in a long while, she properly looked at him. Tears welled up in her eyes and her hands shoved him away. It was too much for her to handle. She couldn't do this—not without Annabeth, not alone.
"How can you pretend everything's okay?" She screamed at his wide-eyed state, once grateful for the deserted streets. "Do you have any idea how many search parties we sent for you? I looked everywhere! Your mom was worried sick. I thought I lost you, Percy. I thought you were dead!"
He remained silent throughout her rant, not speaking a single word. In the end she had taken enough steps towards him to hit his chest that she collapsed from the exhaustion.
Her face burned red as he let her rest against him, bringing her into his embrace once more.
"I'm sorry for worrying you", Percy started in a quiet voice. "Trust me, if I had a choice, I wouldn't have left at all. I didn't have a way to contact Camp either; all I remembered was your name and the address to mom's apartment in Manhattan."
He planted soft kisses on the side of her head. His growth spurt didn't hit her before as much as it did now. "I'm sorry. Give me one more chance?"
For a moment, neither of them made a squeak. Sabrina finally got her quiet to think. Instead of pushing him away, perhaps it was better to just accept it. It wasn't his fault. The blame could be stored away for Her Most Annoying Majesty. Just then, all she could think about was the warmth that his arms provided and how much she missed it.
Her eyelids felt heavy but Sabrina managed a small laugh. One chance? She would give him all the chances in the world if he looked at her like that.
Suddenly all too aware of her outburst, she buried her face in his chest and Percy gladly hugged her tighter. He couldn't make sense of how he managed to live without her through half a year. But, now that she was with him again, he wasn't willing to let her go, not anytime soon.
"Okay", she began tentatively, running a finger up and down the length of his arm. "We can sort this out. I mean, we've been through a literal war, how hard can this be? We're mature er... almost-adults?"
"Mhm, very mature", Percy grinned causing her to slap his hand lightly.
Pressing her face into his shirt, she took in the scent of seawater wafting off him, an odd sense of happiness mixed with subtle melancholy washing over her. "I...I'm glad you're here."
When Sabrina was looking up at him with that face, Percy couldn't stop himself from capturing her lips in a searing kiss—something he didn't know he needed to do this urgently.
He wanted to explain himself. He knew better than anyone about her troubles with trusting people. Percy was well aware that he had lost his spot in the bubble of people she could blindly lean on and he was willing to do anything to win it back.
When he started pulling away, Sabrina didn't imagine herself tugging him forward. Her hands wound up entangled in his dark hair, brushing his scalp to soothe both him and herself, a desperate reminder to realize that this was real.
"So, am I still your favorite or what?" Percy mumbled sporting a small blush, his hands locked around her waist.
After a number of grueling months, Sabrina laughed with all the genuineness she could possibly ever muster. Was that even a question? "Always, Perce." She rose on her tiptoes to peck his lips.
Percy was finally home.

name : Sabrina Inez Garcia
meaning : 'from the River Severn' 'holy' 'brave in battle'
hometown : Scarsdale, NY
family : Miguel Garcia (father), Hecate (divine mother) Katherine Garcia (stepmother), Archie Garcia (half-brother)
origin : Sabrina was born to the goddess Hecate and Miguel Garcia on 25th December. A Christmas miracle was what his family called her but it wasn't long before the pressure of raising a child alone got to him. Often Sabrina would see him come home from work completely wasted and it caused an uproar when her aunts and uncles found out she was being starved four out of seven days a week.
Sabrina encountered her first monster while returning home from elementary school, a full-grown manticore. Intrigued by the strange hybrid creature, the six-year-old stepped closer to touch it and it attacked. She was saved by her satyr protector and brought to camp half blood.
The camp was a foreign place and all she wanted was to go back home. But when Chiron successfully contacted him, Miguel was more than willing to let her stay there. Her aunt Sophia, a clearsighted mortal, insisted on Sabrina receiving a proper education and got custody of her instead.
From then on, it was back and forth between Long Island and Scarsdale every year. Despite her initial doubts about the camp, she came to love it and accepted it as her second home.
Sabrina rarely meets her dad anymore and even when she received an invitation for his wedding, she didn't care enough to show up. She heard he got rid of his addiction and turned his life around. The only time she saw him in over ten years was the day Archie was born.
Sabrina has nothing against him nor Katherine and keeps in touch with them. But her relationship with Miguel, that's one thing she's fine with leaving in the dust.
position : Vice Counselor of Heacte Cabin, Head Alchemist
weapon of choice : Metavlitôs {a bracelet enchanted to transform into whatever gun she desires by rubbing the serpent engraved on the charm}
trivia :
Sabrina is one hell of a troublemaker and gets along quite well with the Hermes Cabin. Chiron had to ban her from teaming up with the Stolls during camp activities lest they unleashed mayhem again. They swore they had nothing to do with the pest infestation in the strawberry fields!
Sabrina often helps out in the infirmary and supplies them with healing potions and whatever medicinal substance she can concoct.
Despite her petite figure (bless her, she is barely 5'5), she's known around camp for having a no-nonsense attitude when she's focused. Legend has it that she managed to scare a few Ares kids to the verge of crying when they kept interrupting her shooting class.
Sabrina can't, for the life of her, fight. Well, she can, but not hand-to-hand combat. This is one of the reasons why she chose a gun to be her primary weapon. When Hecate saw this, she gifted Sabrina the Metavlitôs.
Sabrina has a talent for painting and her dream is to have her own art gallery one day.
She adores shiny things and aesthetic knickknacks and has a hoard of them in her little storage trunk in her Cabin (a Harry Potter flair added for the sake of representation and all that shazam)
Nobody knows where she runs off to during Capture the Flag, she's just never seen. Don't tell them but she just curls up comfortably on the branches of a massive tree until the conch horn wakes her.
Sabrina's arms and legs are often convered in ancient runes because she's afraid they might fall off from the amount of running she does—both around camp and on quests. They are products of dry-erase markers.
She has two familiars—a blue and yellow Macaw named Pablo and an American Cocker Spaniel called Aspen.
Every camper adores them and Sabrina spoils them rotten with the finest toys, food and even jewelry for fun. And yeah, they can talk.
Sabrina has access to a joint bank account through which her father sends money every month. She spends almost all of it on clothes and on gifts for her friends.
Sabrina is an avid fantasy and sci-fi novel reader. She is a vernian.
She is not a morning person. Though, it's her own fault that her sleep schedule is so wacky, she stays up reading, building puzzles or trying (and miserably failing) to solve a Rubik's cube.
Sabrina's magic overflows more often than she would prefer. It's mostly when she loses her cool after a long day of touring new campers, spending hours on end overlooking sizzling cauldrons and supervising three activity divisions.
Thankfully, her siblings are there to help, as their magic resonates with each other's and they can absorb her outburst to minimize the damage.

The music was blaring, the light shining magnificently off the golden tidbits in the building. Sabrina wouldn't lie, after three consecutive summers filled with quests, then jumping back to being a normal teenager, endless hours spent rushing through homework (and cursing her godly lineage because a brain hardwired for ancient greek certainly didn’t help), she deserved a little unwinding.
The room was filled with godlings and she got the chance to meet some of her half siblings, the immortal ones. The meeting with Zeus and the Olympians was nerve-wracking to say the least. And no, it didn't help one bit that her mama was staring her down like a hawk, all the while Sabrina couldn't move, didn't dare to, and only fidgeted with her dirt-covered attire, one hand linked with Percy's.
Speaking of Percy. . .
She was sure if she came up with a thousand words to describe him, they would still fall short. Sabrina had crossed paths with him during her first year at Yancy Academy. Of course, she was fresh meat around the block, yet to be fitted into some stereotypical bunch. That was when Chiron had contacted her, notifying her about Grover shifting to her school to keep tabs on a demigod.
Then, in the blink of an eye, he was defeating a Minotaur, being claimed by Poseidon and confirmed to be the only child of Big Three, getting accused of stealing Zeus' lighting bolt, going on a quest to acquire it and miraculously surviving. Oh, did she mention the part where she was dragged along for a free ride?
Spending three years together tended to do things to people. Through Medusa's garden, through the Sea of Monsters and through holding the literal sky on their back, they had stuck together. And demigod or not, she was but a teenager with plenty of moodswings and wilding hormones. Just her luck, crushing on the guy with the most baggage.
And if falling for the greek counterpart of Harry Potter wasn't enough, Percy also gave new meaning to the word 'oblivious'. But he was adorable so she supposed she could let that little detail pass.
If she could find him, that is.
Making her way through the chattering crowd, Sabrina made a beeline for the daughter of Athena in the far corner of the room who was talking animatedly with few who reciprocated her interest in the hall's architecture.
Sabrina tapped the girl's shoulder, covering her ears to shield them from a song Apollo had composed and given bgm to all in the matter of two minutes. "Where's Percy!"
Annabeth scrunched her brows, red in the face from talking too fast. "I saw him with his dad like an hour ago! Look outside!"
At the mention of the Sea god, Sabrina pursed her lips. Talking to her mother was more than enough, especially with the interrogation she had to endure: 'Are you sure you are alright?' 'Have you taken some nectar and ambrosia? Here, this potions works wonders on sprains', 'I need to have a nice chat with Atlas', 'What is your relationship with Poseidon's kid?', 'Aren't you a bit too young to indulge in such relationships?'
Yeah, one encounter with an immortal was more than enough.
Sabrina tiptoed towards the exit of the palace, trying her best to avoid any and every conversation.
"Percy?" Her voice had dropped to barely a whisper as she peeked into the dark hallway, a startling contrast to the lively celebration inside.
Even deserted and bathed in shadows, the gold managed to shine through, just like every other part of Mt. Olympus. She wondered how much she would earn if she nicked a tiny peice from the ceiling and sold it back home.
Worn out high tops clacking against the shimmering marble floor, her eyes followed the moon as she peered into what was possibly the most well kept garden she had ever seen.
Finding a familiar figure at the end of the path, Sabrina managed a small smile. Percy was standing by a clear pond, staring blankly at the koi fish playing tag.
She slipped outside, sneaking up behind him as her arms circled his shoulder. "Boo!"
"What the Hades!" His hands came to rest on the underside of her thighs, steadying them from toppling into the water. A chuckle was ripped from him, "Don't do that. You'll end up sending someone to the afterlife in a second."
Sabrina hummed quietly, relishing in the chirping of crickets mixed with steady ripples drawn on the surface of the pond, their faces reflected in it as though it was a massive mirror.
With a dry gulp, Percy started, "I was thinking—"
"Don't hurt yourself."
"As I was saying, before I was very rudely interrupted", he glared.
If it was up to her, Sabrina could spend an entire lifetime staring at his green, green eyes.
"What if Luke isn't really the bad guy?"
His words snapped her out of her stupor and she scowled hard. "What makes you say that?"
His thumbs twiddling, Percy clutched the hem of his shirt, a clear sign of hesitancy. "I don't know. It's just. . ."
A pregnant silence reigned over the two. "I didn't ask for any of this to happen."
Sabrina jumped down from her perch on his back, tugging at his hand to make him sit beside her on the concrete that encircled the small body of water.
"Dont you think it's a little unfair how the gods get to sit here and enjoy a feast, sleep around and whatever while their children have to fight their battles for them?"
Percy's eyes looked anywhere else but her as he took in a shaky breath. "Being a demigod, the one supposed to save Olympus. . .I don't think I'm cut out for it. It's not me, it can’t be me."
It was quiet for a long time as she observed the subtle shade of red around the waterline of his eyes.
She could fathom what he meant, to some extent. They didn't get a say while being thrusted into a life with danger in every step of the way. Some let it get to their head and some didn't live to see a year past the acknowledgement of their status.
"You're right", she muttered finally, playing with his fingers. "It's not fair; never been and never will be. But what Luke is doing, that's just blowing it humongously out of proportion."
"But it's okay for people to die in vain when our parents can easily fight this war on their own? Why did Bianca have to die? What will Nico say when we get back to camp without his sister, huh? She was his only family left!" Percy snapped before his voice broke. "I gave him my word."
Sabrina flinched but her gaze softened as he sulked beside her, reaching out to pat his back. "It isn't okay. But what can we do? At the end of the day, we're just kids."
Percy rolled his eyes. "And that makes it so much better."
She let out a laugh. "Nope. It just goes to show that we can't do everything on our own."
Sabrina continued, unfurling her legs from where she sat crisscross, dipping them in the pond. "Percy, its true that we can't bring Bianca back but we can give Nico a family. Or a spot in whatever royally messed up dysfunctional group we are."
Percy glanced at her, finding her crystal blue eyes directed to the fish who came by to say hello. They didn't appreciate her making their home a pedicure spot but he thought better than to tell her that, lest she threatened to turn him into a stingray again.
Under the undisturbed rays of the moon, her crimson tresses seemed to glow. Come to think of it, she always had that certain aura around her—one that was willing to listen without judging hastily, always sharing her honest opinion but in a way that made insults sound like compliments.
People said it was easy to talk to her. He couldn't understand how. All he felt was his heart performing somersaults whenever she was near.
Heat rushed to his face as he remembered the day he had accidentally spoken out loud, questioning if she was an angel. Grover had nudged him with his elbow, the satyr wriggling his brows while Annabeth gave him one of her infamous smirks.
Faced with Sabrina's teasing smile, Percy had vehemently claimed that it was a joke. But as he sat wondering the same thing now, the butterflies that lived in his stomach went feral.
Sabrina blinked when Percy stood up suddenly, a hand outstretched towards her. She took it gingerly, without a question.
"What's on your mind?" She said when he laced their fingers together.
Relieving a breath he didn't know he was holding, Percy shut his eyes momentarily. Opening them again, he found himself staring at endless pools of ultramarine. Oh, right. It was her fault that he searched for that exact shade of blue in everything.
"Westover Hall", he managed meekly, "We were interrupted. I think I owe you a dance."
A smile curled on her lips. Giggles fell from her mouth at his attempt of managing them into a slowdancing stance. "Alright, merman. Just don't get cold feet, okay?"
One of the melodies playing inside, muffled but still decipherable, floated in the air.
I found a love, for me
Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Her hands came up to his waist, his breath hitching when she stepped closer to him. In his too bold of an attempt, he had disregard the fact that he had two left feet.
Noticing his dilemma, Sabrina chuckled. "Relax. Nobody's watching. I won't judge, I promise."
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
Their first meeting, a simple exchange of pleasantries in the dean's office was stuck on replay in his head.
Her coming to check up on him when he had cooped himself in his cabin—too spacious and vacant a place—after the eventful Capture the Flag, something she wasn't obligated to do, her blasting Matt Sloan on his butt after obliterating a Laistrygonian, willingly taking half of the weight of the sky onto herself to spare him the agony, those were memories he wanted to cherish forever.
'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
Despite her calm facade, the previously minuscule nagging voice inside her head had morphed into hollering cheers.
It was a sight for sore eyes—two teens fumbling in the dark, neither having a clue what the correct steps were supposed to be but they danced still, to a faded serenade.
And it was fine. As long as they were accompanied by each other's presence, the random comments made that kept them laughing through the whole thing, it didn't matter if they were flawed.
To fall in love with the other's imperfections was a lesson they were glad to have learned.
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow
She wasn't sure how it happened. In the spur of the moment, she had lifted her head from the crook on his neck, yanking him down by the front of his shirt.
The moment she pressed her lips to his, she knew epiphany. Growing up reading cheesy romance novels to pass time, cheating the sequence to skip to the 'first kiss' scenes, always envisioning what it'd feel, Sabrina could now surely say, it was euphoric.
No, there weren't fireworks magically exploding in the sky but the warmth that spread through her was immeasurable. Like downing a whole mug of hot cocoa on a cold December night.
Her heart was working overtime, senses clouded with the scent of ocean waves and a hint of peppermint, to the point he was all she could think about.
Your heart is all I own
And in your eyes, you're holding mine
It was short, a fleeting moment of bliss that left remnants of it behind as it went. His ears were burning and his legs felt like jelly. Percy thought Sabrina was blushing too.
"I—"
"Wow. . ." Whatever she was going to say was cut off by his awestruck exclamation.
Percy felt goosebumps shoot up his spine. He was sure he was shortcircuiting right then and there. With his heart hammering inside his chest, he flashed a lopsided grin.
"Can I- Can I hug you, please?"
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark
With you between my arms
Two demigods who didn't know any better, at a place that was more than likely out of bounds, content with just being in each other's embrace. These little things, Sabrina was starting to understand, were the reason they fought so hard for.
Sure, tackling troubles that no normal kid should, fighting monsters from myths and facing loss everyday wasn't a choice they made for themselves. But it was either they could keep complaining or make the most of the time they had together.
Barefoot on the grass
Listening to our favourite song
"Annabeth! What are you doing outside with a camera? They're serving—"
"Shh!"
". . .Is that. . .Seaweed Brain and Scarlet Witch?"
"Yeah. Took them long enough. I thought I would die without seeing Percina happen."
When you said you looked a mess
I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it
Darling, you look perfect tonight

summary : it all started when claude de alger obelia got a little paranoid about his daughter's safety, as felix robane—his personal knight—could hardly fare with guarding the emperor and his sole heir alone. the church was notified and then came a paladin, uprooting her entire life to settle into the imperial residence, bearing the same face that his majesty knew all too well. little did avalon know the mighty bumps that laid on the path ahead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
➶ avalon de luna agrece is the youngest and amongst the handful of female church paladins of obelia. whether she is of noble lineage or not is unclear but she has a large mana reserve.
➶ she was left in the great temple of eden faith, the only remaining religion in the empire after the revolution, and was raised by the high saintess gabriella.
➶ the name 'avalon' means island of apples. it is also said to be the place where the sword excalibur was crafted.
➶ claude recognizes avalon due to her uncanny resemblance to her maternal aunt—astaria campbell—who used to serve the fourth legion of imperial knights, the strongest among the fifteen legions.
➶ avalon is a reserved girl with an air of confidence around her and a knack for manipulating others to have things her way. it had become a second nature, growing up in a world of savagery and do-or-die policy.
➶ avalon was reluctant to serve the emperor in fear of becoming a mere footsoldier before achieving her dreams but she agreed immediately upon receiving a direct letter from felix robane, her idol.
➶ her first meeting with athanasia was quite eventful, all things considered. avalon had sucker punched the creep lording over the princess causing said imperial to go on a laughing spree and the magician of the black tower bleeding profusely from his nose. the girls became besties from the get-go.
➶ despite their rocky start, lucas and avalon share a sibling-like bond. they tease each other as if it is a ritual but also respect each other majorly. safe to say lucas never wants to be on the receiving side of her punches ever again.
➶ avalon first met jennette at the debutant ball where she escorted the brunette away from athanasia and co. after she returned the princess' bow.
➶ avalon felt the butterflies residing in her stomach go crazy, something she had only read about in those cheesy novels her charge read. it was perhaps love at first sight for her.
➶ it took longer coming to terms with her crush rather than the initial falling part. avalon went through several stages of emotions—denial, disgust at herself, anger toward people's one-track mindset and, finally, acceptance.
➶ it wasn't easy knowing she fancied girls in a patriarchal society. it was even harder knowing people expected her to fall for a man, something that seemed impossible for her.
➶ their second meeting was when avalon stumbled upon the emperor staring down jennette like predator at his prey. the paladin steered the lady towards the garden, momentarily calming claude with a reminder of official matters left unattended.
➶ they properly conversed during athy's tea party when avalon was roped into the young ladies' conversation. they expressed curiosity, seeing her dressed in trousers and a fitted suit and soon started arguing about the viability of her position in accordance to her gender.
➶ before she could manage a witty retort, jennette came to her defense. "it shouldn't matter if miss avalon is a girl. she was chosen by his majesty to protect the princess due to her capability as a knight. we should respect that."
➶ yeah, avalon just short-circuited right then and there. athy wore a teasing smile as she nudged the knight with her elbow. with a hasty bow and a short notice of departure, avalon ran from the gardens.
➶ that night she found a thank-you letter from the margarita girl, saying she discovered avalon's address from the too-eager-to-provide princess.
➶ from then on, they became pen pals and wrote to each other on a daily basis.
➶ she had caught claude's eye during her initiation ceremony into the twelfth legion. one chess match over tea and savory snacks turned into weekly meetings and elaborate discussions about the game and, to everyone's surprise, books.
➶ it took a while for jennette to accept that she did indeed harbor feelings towards the lovely paladin. she had tried distracting herself with her fate to marry ezekiel but that didn't work...at all.
➶ jennette margarita was wooed by avalon de luna and that realization alone made hot blood rush to her face. she found herself awaiting avalon's letters every night and preserving each piece of penmanship with the utmost care.
➶ she felt like a little girl in a store full of sugary goodies every time the knight's name came up. to the point where the invitations for tea from the princess became a getaway to meet her knight in shining armor.
➶ ejekiel probably picked up on jennette's crush but reassured her that he wouldn't think of her any different from before nor would he reveal this fact to others.
➶ anastacius most likely spied on avalon, partly due to her strong mana and partly due to 'who dares to capture my daughter's heart!'
➶ he reluctantly approved of their budding relationship after witnessing the genuine smile jennette wore whenever she was near the young knight.
➶ avalon was the first to reveal her feelings shortly after athy's disappearance. during that time, it was being decided if she would be shifted and stationed in one of the scouting legions, considering her advanced swordsmanship.
➶ she didn't want to leave without getting those meddling feelings out of her mind, knowing the possibility of her making it back from the battlefield was slim to none.
➶ she was being bold, too bold perhaps, but jennette had clutched onto avalon's dress shirt, yanking the taller girl down to eye level before she pressed her lips to the ravenette's.
➶ for the time being, they were content with being two nearly-adults, madly and hopelessly in love.

series coming soon!
summary : james sirius potter has been called 'all the marauders packed into one' too many times. while headmaster mcgonagall cannot catch a break with this overflowing ball of energy in the premises, she isn't the only one on his annoy-to-death list. too bad maeve wood finds him utterly adorable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maeve Inanna Wood was born on 25th December to Oliver Wood and Maisie Prevell in her mum's family home in North Hampton.
Maeve looks so much like her mother, her grandparents often marvel at how much she looks like a young Maisie.
She has an older brother, Kenneth and a younger brother and sister—twins, Cecilia and Oscar.
During the sorting, the Sorting Hat exclaimed: "A good head on your shoulders, but your emotions often outweigh rationality. I can see a drive to play fair and a bravado that bends to no injustice. Better be. . .Hufflepuff!"
Maeve wouldn't be a Wood if she didn't inherit her dad's knack for Quidditch. Though it's much tamer than Kenneth and Cecilia's near-obsession with the game, she isn't below leaving Oscar and her mum(the only two in the house who don't rave about the sport) shaking their heads at her elaborate rants about every match she plays.
Maeve made Quidditch captain in 5th year and plays Chaser for Hufflepuff since her 2nd year.
She was born with a head full of periwinkle hair. (You already know what that means—) Maeve is a metamorphmagus (meaning she can change her appearance at will) But she likes to stick with her original face and only uses her abilities to kinda sorta get out of detention. . .sometimes.
Her patronus is an Occamy (a bird/serpent hybrid that is know for its choranaptyxic abilities to grow and shrink in size). It represents genuine flexibility and willingness to make a compromise and make peace.
She got to know about Potters and Weasleys through Roxanne Weasley(George and Angelina's youngest) whom she bumped into(literally) at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour.
She met James on the way to Platform 9¾ when her dad went to talk to Mr. Potter. Maeve was hesitant to casually chat with such big shots in the Wizarding world and hid behind her mum (Harry being Head of the Auror Dept. at the Ministry and Ginny being ex-captain of the Holyhead Harpies, her anxiety was justified)
It wasn't until the little tyke noticed Maeve, bounced towards her and introduced himself that she dared make a peep. "The name's James Sirius Potter. By the way, did it hurt?"
Maeve immediately recognized the cheesy pickup line from witnessing her brother hopelessly pine after that one Trisha Zabini girl for three years. Her smirk mirroring his own as she replied, "When I crawled up from hell? You bet."
The parents were shooketh at the giggling gremlins like 'Now there's two of them!' 😧
Maeve is an adept people-reader and her first impression of being an introvert gave her a leverage to assess them quietly. James Sirius gave off the vibe of being an open book—like a murder mystery that seemed to be an open-and-shut case but had layers of untapped information hiding underneath.
And she was all for it.
His bright brown eyes, light chestnut hair that bordered red and the happy-go-lucky demeanor didn't fool her one bit (Though, she had to admit he was quite the looker)
Aboard the Hogwarts Express, they sat together with Roxanne Weasley, Lorcan Scamander, Theresa Longbottom and Alex Jordan exchanging tales about their new school that were passed down from their parents and choking over the piles of sweets they had each chipped in to buy from the Trolley.
Despite being sorted into different houses(Lorcan being in Ravenclaw and Roxanne and James getting into Gryffindor), Maeve formed a close friendship with the three. And thus the next generation of Marauders was formed.
With James and Maeve, it is the 'the girl falls first but the guy falls harder' trope.
At first it was curiosity that made her stick close to James but by the time their third year came around, she couldn't turn a blind eye to the zoo of butterflies trampling inside her stomach whenever he was within ten feet from her.
Cue the knowing glances from Roxanne and Lorcan who had long proclaimed themselves the captains of Jameve.
It got so bad that she had to splash cold water onto her face after every encounter with James, even little ones like lending him a quill when he came barreling into Potions, half an hour late and physically restrain her hair from turning a blush pink.
As for James, it wasn't until their first Yule Ball that he was made aware of the situation he had landed himself in.
It was a running gag between his friend group to pull his leg whenever he sat a bit close to Maeve or asked to hang out with just her during their trips to Hogsmede.
And he swore that was the only reason he asked her to the stupid not-stupid dance. He couldn't ask Roxanne since she was his cousin, Theresa was going with her boyfriend and Maeve was the only girl he was close enough to endure a ball with.
Sure, he felt his stomach performing applause-worthy somersaults every damn time she would skip into the Great Hall, when she'd smile at every joke he said even if he himself knew they were stupid or when her hair would turn bright orange at the mention of a beta prank item that him and Roxanne nicked from WWW.
He genuinely enjoyed her company because she could cheer him up easily whenever he was pissed at something or someone. She was willing to listen to him rant without passing a quick judgment like 'Oh, it was just them goofing around' or 'Mate, it's you. Sure you didn't prank them or something?'
But him having a crush on her—pfft, now way!
Well, that idea flew out the window with one glance at her champagne colored gown, her hair curled and makeup done to perfection. If he thought she looked good without being dolled up, he was convinced that Maeve was a goddess now as he picked her up from the Hufflepuff Common Room.
The entire evening he couldn't get rid of the stubborn blush splattered across his cheeks that earned him more than one teasing look from his friends.
That was all three years ago. Now they weren't barely-teens who were figuring out their emotions.
They were two seventh years, well aware that they couldn't go back to being just friends anymore but also terrified of losing whatever was going on between them now.
And their friends? Oh, they were sick of the two's pining. Then again, it was their choice to keep them close. Idiots they may be, but James and Maeve were their family. And they would do anything for their happiness.
