They're wanting to change the definition of water to see which water would qualify under the Clean Water Act...I wish I was making this up.

What this means, in layman's terms, is that not all water or wetlands would be under environmental protections, so some could legally be dumped in, scraped out of, or otherwise harmed.

The comment period for this is pretty short (just a few days left!) so please submit comments asking for ALL water to be protected.

There are a lot--like, holy shit, a lot--of people in my notes asking questions about intersex 101 after my recent posts, and as much as I love that y'all want to learn, I don't have the time to sit and respond to every single one of you right now. I'm genuinely not irritated that you have questions, but please understand that I am not an expert on every intersex topic, I'm just some random intersex person, and I'm also super busy & stressed about a million other things today, too.

I wish people would understand that not everything is for everyone to get. you will be left out of some conversations, a lot of art will not apply to you, you will not like things that people you like enjoy, and just because you cannot add to the topic of discussion or relate does not mean that it is not valued or worthwhile. the internet has coddled people to such a concerning extent that everyone feels like they need to vocally disagree with something just because they don’t get it. Mad about politics again

Apoliticism is an impossibility. What you mean is you’re absorbing political narratives all the time without interrogating them because you don’t even recognize those messages as political. Learning about politics isn’t so that you have to be invested in particular bourgeois political parties but so that you avoid being scammed by the common political scams committed throughout the history of political rule.

The moment you begin relegating large contentious parts of reality to the “non-political” the more likely you are to be scammed and grifted to be anxious and violent about race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, etc. And I mean ‘scam’ literally in that the pogrom inciters financially benefit from spreading misinformation, falsehoods, libel and deceit. It’s a grift that any understanding of the history of political violence would reveal to you. That’s why apoliticism is dangerous because it ultimately affirms the reactionary status quo in naturalizing various contentious conflicts as having an obvious non-political truth to its nature.
