Iâm sure youâve heard a million times over how important it is to comment on fanfiction - maybe even from this blog. Iâve been a frequent advocate of supporting stories with feedback, often reblogging posts about its importance (and even making one or two of my own). For me, every time a post about comment culture crosses my dash I find a fresh determination to be a commenter and vow to leave feedback on every fic that crosses my dash from there on out.
But hereâs my secret: sometimes, I donât feel like leaving a comment.
Itâs not that a fic is undeserving or that I have nothing positive to say, in fact itâs usually quite the opposite.
Sometimes, I look at the large number of comments a fic has already received and I think âWhat difference will it make if I just add to the masses?â But then I remember how excited I get every. single. time. someone leaves me feedback, how much my heart soars whenever I receive a comment notification.
Sometimes, I see that a fic has zero to little comments and I think âOh, it would be awkward if I was the only commenter, I donât want to stand out.â But then I remember the stories Iâve published that never received any responses, merely gathering a few reblogs and a handful of likes and leaving me disappointed and discouraged.
Sometimes, I read a fic long after itâs been posted and I think âWhy bother commenting now? Itâs way too late for that.â But then I remember that one time someone found a fic of mine months after it had been posted and still left a comment, making me feel as though my story had a permanence and a lasting impact.
Sometimes, I read a fic that is already multiple chapters in, and I think âI canât possibly comment on any chapter but the last, otherwise itâs going to seem strange.â But then I remember all the effort that goes in to a single chapter, all the courage it can take to publish those words and how reassuring it can be to hear that a particular piece of a story had an impact.
Sometimes, I read a fic and I canât think of anything insightful to comment, and I think âIf I donât have anything profound to say, I may as well say nothing at all.â But then I remember how it feels to stare at a blank comment section, wondering where exactly my story went wrong and wishing for even the smallest of reassurances.
And sometimes, I read a fic and Iâm just tired, and I think âWhatâs it going to hurt if I just skip the comment this time? Who will even notice?â But then I remember how much time and energy a writer put into their story, how exhausting writing can sometimes be.
I read a fic, I remember these things, and I decide to leave a comment.Â
Comments, from the smallest of keyboard smashes and heart eye emojis to the largest of analyses, mean the world to a writer. A comment can be the difference between an abandonment and another update, the divide between a story of requirement and a story of passion. Comments truly are everything to a writer, and they require so little from each one of us.
So please, I beg of you: swallow your excuses, realize that leaving feedback has an impact that extends beyond you, and LEAVE THAT COMMENT.

Hinanami Week Day 3 -- Shared Interests
@hinanami-week
This one is just based on some personal headcanons I have of Hajime which arenât necessarily based on canon, I just like the thought of a pianist Hinata <3Â
âWow, Hinata, your house is really big!â Chiakiâs eyes looked around just the foyer with awe. Sure, she knew that his parents were pretty loaded, but this?! It was incredible, like a castle almost.
Hinata scratched the back of his head, a bit embarrassed. He tried to avoid taking many people back home because he didnât really like to flaunt his parentsâ wealth around, but it did seem to impress Chiaki a bit. âSorry, I should have warned you beforehand, uh, I donât like to-â
His girlfriend cut him off, âIs that a Piano? Do you play, Hinata?â Before he could even answer she was already strolling over to it, admiring its design.
âI mean, I did for a while but I havenât since I started going to Hopeâs Peak. My parents thought that I would get in as the ultimate pianist, but I honestly just didnât make the cut.â Â
The longing in his face made Chiaki almost wish she hadnât brought it up. The fact that he was a reserve course student was always very sensitive for him, but she honestly had no idea that he was a pianist. âWould you be willing to play me something?â
Surprisingly, Hinata seemed to brighten up a bit, having come up with an idea. He pulled a book from the shelf that wrote âEdward Elgarâ on the front, flipping open to a page that had been dogeared. âThis is one of my favorite pieces. Itâs called Salut dâAmour, French for âloveâs greetingâ or âloveâs helloâ. It was originally written as a duet for lovers, but this one was arranged into a solo piano piece. Itâs kind of sad if you think about itâŚâ
âI donât think so. Itâs like, uh, like youâre playing it for the person you love, I think.â
âI guess it could be like thatâŚâ Hinata sat down at the piano bench and placed the open book on the stand. âAnd, uh, if thatâs the case then, more so now than before, can I play it f-for you, maybe?â
If he hadnât been looking down at his hands folded in his lap, he would have seen the light flush that rose on the cheeks of his girlfriend, who had mentioned the comment without even thinking about the fact that he was most definitely about to play it. Chiaki approached him and squeezed his shoulder gently saying âI would be honored.â She sat down in one of the parlor chairs a few yards away from him and waited patiently.
Hinata took a deep breath and glanced one more time at Chiaki, his muse; if only she had been there a couple years ago to inspire him like she does now. However, he knew he must forget the past, and focus on her in the present with him here and now. He released the breath, and began to play his loveâs hello to Chiaki.

Hinanami Week Day 2 --Â Domestic
@hinanami-week
For the domestic prompt, I just wanted to write about the two of them playing some video games together!
âPlayer One wins!â the television flashed. Hinata looked over to his girlfriend to see her with a sly expression on her face yet again.
âCome on Chiaki, canât you let me win at least one round?â
Chiaki shook her head, âNo way, iâm not just going to go easy on you. Donât be such a sore loser!â She punched his arm lightly and gave a small smile; she was merely messing with him. In fact, playing video games with Hinata was one of Chiakiâs favorite past times, and she wasnât one to back down. He would have to get his win the hard way, or so she thought.
âOne more round, okay?â Hinata pleaded, giving her a bit of puppy dog eyes, though he had a mischievous glint in his eye that she just happened to miss.
âAlright, are you ready to get beat again?â Chiaki lifted up her controller, ready to go again.
âNo, but Iâm ready to prove you wrong!â
She rolled her eyes at him and pressed the start button and a countdown began to descend from â3â.
The two gave each other a quick glance; Chiaki was sure of herself, but was a bit bewildered at Hinataâs uncanny confidence.
â2â
They both readied their controllers, gripping them tightly.
â1â
Chiaki inhaled sharply, ready to hit her boyfriend with a combo attack the moment the screen said âstartâ
In that moment, however, Hinata leaned in and kissed her on the lips, hoping in her dazed state afterwards that he would be able to knock her character off the stage.
The kiss lasted a couple seconds, and Chiaki certainly wasnât dissatisfied with it. But it was in those few seconds of lip to lip contact that Hinata heard it; the familiar sound of defeat.
âPlayer One Winsâ
He pulled away, completely bewildered. How could she have won? This was supposed to distract her!
Chiaki laughed at the look he gave her and cupped his face gently saying âYou know I could still see the TV while you kissed me right? I told you to prepare to lose again.â
Hinata shrugged his shoulders in a dejected manner but looked up at his girlfriend and smiled saying, âhow can I have possibly lost when I have you?â
Chiakiâs face flushed and she looked away from him, too embarrassed to even think. âThat was sorta lame, Hinata, butâŚâ she grabbed his hand between hers and continued âI love that about you, and, well, I guess Iâm a winner in more ways than one when I have you too.â

Hinanami Week Day 1 -- First Date
@hinanami-weekâ
I legit forgot about hinanami week so I just wrote this up real quick! Hopefully Iâll be able to keep up with the rest of the prompts uwu
Hinata bounced his leg while he gazed longingly out the window. She would show up, right? Maybe she had only agreed to this out of pity for him, I mean he was just a reserve course student. No, Chiaki was different from a lot of the other ultimates at Hopeâs Peak; she wouldnât look down on him like that.
He glanced down at his watch. But what if she got nervous, what if he had been too forboarding what if-
Before he had anymore time to think, he heard the bell above the cafe door jingle, and the most gorgeous girl walk in; she was here.
Chiaki looked around for a bit, she was dressed in light pink jumper with a white undershirt, which complemented her cute sense of style wonderfully. Her eyes finally caught Hinataâs, and he clumsily stood up from his seat to go greet her.
âH-Hey Chiaki, I saved us a table! Uh, have you ever eaten here before?â
She pondered for a moment and shook her head, âNo, I havenât done much outside of the academy, Iâm not really from this area, but-â her eyes wandered over to the display case full of different pastries and sweets, âthe food looks really good, I think.â
âYeah it is really good! I come here a lot on the weekends since there isnât really much to do on the reserve student campus.â Hinata scratched the back of his head a bit flustered; he wasnât really one for conversation, especially around cute girls like Chiaki. He was more of the type who showed how he felt through his actions, which he thought to himself as he pulled a chair out for his date. âLetâs sit down, I can show you what the best things on the menu are.â
While Hinata showed her the menu, he realized what was so different about seeing her today than any other day. Chiaki had put her game console down for once and was actually looking at him while he talked (even when he wasnât talking, it seems like she was quietly observing him, but she always did it with a slight smile on her face). Itâs not that he minded when she was playing games, itâs who she was for the most part, but he delighted in getting to actually look into her eyes and really see how beautiful she was. In fact, the two got so lost in each otherâs gazes that they didnât notice when a waiter had appeared to take their orders.
Hinata shook his head, clearing his thoughts, and turned to Chiaki, âUh, have you decided what you want?â
âThis.â she said pointing to a picture of a strawberry shortcake on the menu, âand uh, could we please share it, Hinata?â
His face flushed a bit at the thought of sharing a dessert with her; would she be the type to swipe in for the last berry or would she let him have it? It was sometimes difficult to tell; Chiaki seemed like the type of person that you could push over and get your way, however, Hinata knew she was much more strong-willed than that. During their video game sessions together, she wouldnât even let her focus go for a moment to let him win. It was⌠well, cute, in a way, but he liked her take shit from nobody attitude that hid underneath her timid exterior. Well, he liked almost everything about her. Did she know that, or did she think they were just going on this date as friends?
Without even giving him a chance to ponder any longer, Chiaki answered  his question. âHinata, I just want to thank you for taking me out today. I, erm, Iâve never really done anything like this, and Iâm glad you were my first date ever, I think.â She thought to herself for a moment again, fiddling with her hair a bit too, like she didnât know what to do with them without her handheld. âI really like you Hinata, so Iâm glad to be here with you!â
âR-Really?â
She snorted- wait, snorted? He had never seen her burst out like that, it was so adorable. âWould I have said yes if that wasnât the case?â
âI mean I guess not. But what if you-â
Chiaki reached across the table and placed a finger to his lips, in a shushing gesture, âYou worry too much, Hinata. I like you, and i-it took a lot of courage to come out here today so, you better not be messing with me!â
Hinata took the hand that up against his face and pressed his lips to the back of it, giving her a small kiss- in a most bold gesture- and saying, âNow why would I screw up our first date like that?â

âI really wanted Joseph to teach josuke and jotaro hamon ;-;
hahaha remember when i did these confessions?
anyway i think that would have been very cute. i wish josuke could have had his father there with him, so i really wish that he didnât have to be conceived out of adultery =w= but honestly; joseph probably didnt even know how to use hamon at that point and hes gona fricken senile. i mean he probably could live longer if he continually used it but :< meh. i think growing old with suzie at least makes up for cheating on her.
