“Blink Motherfucker” an essay of Papyrus’ battle.

Papyrus’ battle is fucking weird an unnatural and here’s why.

Ok so, think about the battle sprites. 

Nabstablook’s eyes shake so, constatly moving. 

Toriel stays VERY still but her expression changes enough to make up for that.

Undyne? bouncing. hair blowing in the wind. 

Mad Dummy? bouncing. 

Mettaton? Dancing his motherfucking heart out. 

Asgore? bounceing. 

Asriel? flying around at the speed of sound. 

Sans? bouncing, swaying side to side. 

Almost all the other monsters bounce and sway as well. 

What’s weird about Papyrus’ battle is he doesn’t move at all.

His cape could be flowing in the wind. But no. Completely still. He could be moving at ALL but nope. But you know what’s REALLY WEIRD?? During the battle…Papyrus’ mouth doesn’t even move. watch a playthrough again….i’m right. 

During Papyrus’ date he moves, his mouth moves, his expression changes, he’s very active. 

But in his battle? Nothing. A statue. It’s like there’s a cardboard cut out of Papyrus.  Papyrus, the most active charecter in undertale not moving a mother fucking inch.

Okay, so originally I was going to draw Deceit as a merman, then I thought “Nah just make him a sea snake lol” 

Because brain :D

Anyway, in this AU, Roman, Logan, Virgil, and Thomas are all marine biologists. Their lab is partially underwater as both aesthetic and study purposes.

One day, they decide to bring their friend, Patton, to the lab because they had to pick something up on the way to… something (details, details~) and Patton ends up coming across this peculiar serpent looking merman. He tries to tell the others what he saw, but the merman is gone before they come.

Some other days later while they’re doing research, they start to see this glimmer of gold, but they’re never able to catch what it is. It’s been a month now. They’ve started to name the thing Deceit, because as soon as they try to catch a glimpse of it, it’s gone.

Patton ends up visiting again, and once the four of them aren’t paying attention, Deceit sneaks up to the glass once again. It starts to examine this strange human on the other side, and Patton puts his hands up to the glass. In awe, Deceit ends up matching his fingers perfectly, just as the other four end up turning and catching the sight.

That background itself took about 3 hours to complete. It’s the most satisfied with a background I’ve been in a while.

Also, don’t listen to underwater sounds for mood music. It goes from whale to horror movie in 0.5 seconds (or at least mine did).

V!Pat: Arachne gets a call that dark heart is holding up a theater. Swings in to only see a notice over one of the movie screenings. Comes in hesitantly, though, & aside from some cops milking around, all looks normal? He goes to the theater and Pat is there with popcorn watching trailers. “Oh! Hi Lolo! Star Trek is about to start!” Turns our pat “stole” the theater of a movie (made by a racist dude) and wanted a date. People are coming in totally free. Logan stays to *totally* arrest pat after.

High School au chapter (part?) 2

Patton watched as Logan and Roman got into their third fight of the day, rolling his eyes at their obvious attraction to the other—whether they realize it yet or not.

“They’re still going at it?” Virgil grumbled, smiling a bit when Patton snuggled into his side.

“Yeah, they are. But they can’t click immediately like we did, mi alma.* I mean, look at how our first date—which went off without a hitch!”

“I remember, Pat, trust me.”

Patton was nervous. Which was saying something. I mean, he couldn’t believe the new (and super cute!) kid actually said yes to a date with him! His parents were happy for him, and Roman liked this boy! Maybe they’ll be boyfriends, and then get married, and adopt 27 dogs, and three kids, and, and—Patton stopped his thoughts before they could go any farther. I mean, it’s just the first date! Patton blew out a gust of breath, and then messed with his light blue dress, which was his favorite due to the cats on the top. Then he started to ruffle his hair, but stopped when he saw Virgil. Who was wearing a leather jacket. And a beanie. And we’re those aviators!? ‘Dear Lord.’ Patton screeched inwardly, his passionate subconscious screaming at the picture Virgil drew.

Virgil, on the other hand, actually had to regain his breath. Because Patton’s eyes shone from behind his glasses, and his dress accented all of his curves, and his flats had bows on them???? Like, !!!! Literally, his mind was just wordlessly screaming in happiness. He still couldn’t believe the cutie who sat in front of him in most of his classes actually noticed him, must less asked him out. His brothers teased him a little, because he was “totally whipped and smitten” according to Darien. ‘And he was right. This is only the first date, but I know I’m not leaving this boy until he asks me to.’ Virgil thought.

“…Yeah, I do remember our first date. We went to the dog park and you patted all the dogs there.” Virgil said, smiling as Patton started to squirm in excitement at just the mention of dogs.

“And to this day, it’s still my favorite date!” Patton said, tilting Virgil’s chin down, giving him a good kiss on the lips.

“Now if only those two could get their stuff together, then we could go on double dates!”

“Keep dreaming Patton, keep dreaming.”

*I believe this means my soul? Correct me if I’m wrong, I am just a white person trying their best.
