always loved our kris design so decided draw them :]

drew up our idea of if kris was a monster ! rooster dog :]

we always pictured kris as a flightless bird monster , however decided do more with idea . we wanted make them "feel strange" look at n go "what is that ?" , resembling different things they arent , so went with making them a chimera mix of stuff

also wanted make feel like "what they are is up to interpretation" when theyre not (cough cough cough)

Ported all of the art into procreate (our current main drawing program) and having a blast working on it !

Can see it now feels more like our current art compared to when it was just clip studio paint . we originally planned for it Just be in csp , however realized it harder on body n more of a hassle , as well as just wont get that good of result

this just cuz body disabled n so been easier in current years to draw while laying down n all , csp is still hands downs a better software

in procreate , we have it set to "animation assist" with onion skin turned off and fps at 1 (just in case accidentally click play)

reason set it to "animation assist" instead of "page assist" is so that can have a foreground layer , which is this border here as it shows 1920x1080 size .

realized never shared this . smallest creature , Rue the scolipede !

this creature is rlly near n dear to our heart as had it since about 2018 and was a roleplay character . her current form , we picture her only existing in pkmn mystery dungeon setting

A very small but rlly strong scolipede who lives in the woods , enjoys dungeoning . Sells dungeon flowers as well as scarves she weaves from her silk (btw as a whirlipede , she was wrapped in her own silk so it like soft ball)

long time ago had idea for a eevee fakemon evolution !

Meadeon - normal type (can be pronounced like "me-deon" like median , can also be pronounced like "mead-eon" which sounds more like a pun instead of exactly sounding like median , can also be "med-eon")

[ design ] so design choice , it ment to be quite plain as lot eeveelutons are pretty bare minimum . it ment resemble a lion and has crown on its head

tail colors is refrence to modern primary colors , base form being cyan magenta yellow for subtractive colors (paint n pigment) and its shiny is additive colors (light) red green blue

is like think that in base form its tail seem shimmer , but in shiny its body seem shimmer instead

WATER WUPPY !!! been listening to wings of fire audiobooks with friend n had lot fun !

Had this guy for while n finally got to making full ref ! basically came from idea of "what if some seawings are born with less glow marks or ones that cant light up , or if seawings can lose ability to glow over time like due to old age or injury" as glow patterns are important for speaking aquatic

so Angler here is silly guy named after angler fish , they enjoys deep dives more than average seawing as come from a family of deep divers , and he likes adventure alone . He made lightspeak by assigning flash pattern for each letter in dragon alphabet (just like morse code) its specified as "lightspeak" as like dragonspeak spelling words , while aquatic is very different thing with light + gestures (akin to sign language) while lightspeak doesnt need / do gestures , however both ideas can be mixed , and both can be used in different situations as well (like lightspeak being best for distance or cant move , aquatic best for close up and expression) another perk of lightspeak is how Any glow spot can be used to signal , so can be rlly creative with it (like one side saying one thing , and other side saying something else , or use it like a whisper , or like in a play an actor can act out saying one thing with aquatic but part on back flickers their inner thoughts) it so fun cuz not only would it make dragon world more accessible , itdll mean it would be required learning for seawings too so mean everyone can understand so even if only have one working light mark , you can still speak underwater :]
