genuinely curious: was that hair person not talking about a similar event that happened literally on 9/11 when most people got to leave work and school and she was unable to? it seems like her kids are old and have their own kids.
Okay, now that I've re-read it, I do see that that's what they're saying.
But there was crew posting photos on the lot today and other people in the comments of that post mentioning 911 in the context of the show and Ryan Murphy.
#my bad#one day the 9/11 and 911 mixups will end but that is not today unfortunately#anon#answered#I didn't make my claims off those comments though - they just were good public proof to use to back them up

I'm not really in the business of giving proof, not because I'm a liar or gatekeeping or whatever other word you wanna throw at me, but because it's about protecting people. People are scared to say this info out loud because it affects their jobs.
But not giving proof isn't the way today is going, I guess. And I get in theory that people don't wanna baselessly assume the worst about their favorite show. I have more to say on that, though, that I'll save for another day.
There's this photo along with comments (on a post made today about productions making people work) calling out 911 today for having people on set:

Anyway, my heart goes out to the people of California. Please stay safe if you're in that area.
If you're able, please donate to help the LAFD and others fight these fires:

hello! i hope you're having nice holidays (if you observe), and thank you for your hard work with this blog! i know this is the first full season at abc, but since the show is supposed to be back in march, and they still have a lot of episodes to film, is it safe to assume they'll be back filming in, idk, february? or is there no way to tell, even keeping in mind past hiatuses? thank you!
I don't remember who said it, but at least one person who works on the show said they go back to filming in January.
#it may have been multiple people who did idk#it was like a month ago that it was said#but yeah January is when they should be back to filming#anon#answered

Hey, so I’ve just seen that JLH announced her involvement in the IKWYDLS reboot/sequel. Do you think that means Maddie is going to be missing a couple episodes in the back half of the season? How would the scheduling have been decided, do you think?
Thanks for everything you do! ❤️
It's possible she could have to miss time/episode(s). Sometimes, that's just how it works out, and it's easier to write her out for an episode or so. But they could definitely do it where she doesn't.
With Jennifer, it works out well because she films dispatch scenes mostly on her own, so she's the only one impacting it. As opposed to the 118 emergencies where there's five main people involved in the scenes and they're bigger productions.
The point being, she can film multiple episodes of dispatch in a week and have it prepared. Personal character stuff depends on the episode and can be filmed around everything as well.
Angela has filmed movies during 9-1-1 filming, and she's never missed an episode. Notably, she filmed Mission Impossible while 6x02 was filmed.
We won't know probably until episodes are coming out what they'll do probably, but either way is possible!

I may have missed you already sharing this but for your timezone anons they can just go to timeanddate.com and use the time zone converter for their location. It should take into account all clock changes as well.
I just google to find which US states are in central time and plug that in!
Thank you!
(911 airs 8pm in EST which is what most of the streams are if I understand correctly. 7pm central though if people use that)

I think it's the other way around, the last few episodes were an hour later than usual at least in my time zone, after March 9 it will be an hour less of difference so the episodes will be an hour earlier
Idk, everyone should look into it themselves if it effects them. Like I said, I hate daylight savings. I'm bad at it and timezones.
I was just thinking that in America, clocks go forward an hour in March. But maybe that doesn't translate the way I thought.
Either way, in March, there's a time change, do with that info what you need.

Do you have any information on what time 8B will be? The old one or the same time as episode 6, 7 and 8?
Correct me if I'm wrong in this assumption, but I'm guessing you're based outside of the US and had to navigate the timezones + daylight savings.
Next daylight savings switch will be March 9th, so 8x09 will be in the same as the last few episodes, but the episodes after will be an hour "later".

From the bonus interview in Jennifer's new book "Inheriting Magic" (only found in the audiobook):
Brian: Do you have an example of something another person, be it a friend, family member, or work colleague, has done that has created magic for you without them ever realizing that maybe they did that?
Jennifer: I would say the teapot that Kenny just gave me, which was really sweet.
So the backstory is that we were working on the 9-1-1 Halloween episode, and we just happened to be filming in Hen and Karen's house, and there was all these MacKenzie Child mini pumpkins like in the thing. And my mother loved MacKenzie Childs, so I said to our prop person, "Oh my gosh, I feel like my mom is here today. She must be like smiling at me or something because she loved these things."
Kenny heard it, and like a week later, outside my trailer, was this box and this beautiful written note, he had written the note, it was very sweet. And Kenny had known that we had just redone the kitchen - Kenny Choi who plays my person on 9-1-1. And he wrote this note about wanting us to have this MacKenzie Childs teapot. And it's now in our kitchen, and I feel when I look at it, I always smile a) because it was an act of magic from somebody who's here, but it's about her, which I love so...
