Ask the Next Mayor of New York City:
Bill de Blasio has cast himself as the candidate farthest to the left in this race – but does his platform match this designation? De Blasio has called for "reform" and "oversight" of the NYPD's stop-and-frisk practice without challenging the underlying issue of conducting a search without probable cause, in apparently violation of the Fourth Amendment. How does de Blasio justify the fundamental premise of stop-and-frisk, even if such a program were reformed under his administration? Can he name the minimal specific conditions which would justify a pedestrian being stopped and searched? Finally, does he propose alternative programs to find weapons and get them off the street (the stated primary intent of the program as it stands). Thanks NYT Editorial Board! @99Brett, NYU Journalism/Politics '13

"The broad index of the Shanghai exchange fell 64.89 points on Monday, a figure that recalls the Tiananmen Square events on June 4, 1989. In another unusual development, the index opened on Monday at 2346.98 — a figure that, to some, looked like the date of the crackdown written backward, followed by the 23rd anniversary.
In a country where numerology is taken very seriously, Chinese censors quickly began blocking searches for “stock market,” “Shanghai stock,” “Shanghai stock market,” “index” and other related terms. They also deleted large numbers of microblog postings about the numerical fluke."
From "Market's Echo of Tiananmen Date Sets Off Censors" by Keith Bradsher, New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/05/world/asia/anniversary-of-tiananmen-crackdown-echos-through-shanghai-market.html?hp
