“Gods tend to have complicated names, don’t they? I bet they have complicated names simply so they can feel important. The more complicated, the more important they feel.”

Not that it mattered to Phantasos. She was lucky that her parents didn’t give her such a complicated name. Besides, the gods were already important, they didn’t need complicated names to prove that. In her opinion, it was better if they were remembered for who they are and a complicated name would be hard to remember.

Who was she, to understand such thing? Miran after all was nothing but a mere mortal, facing whatever faith liked to throw at her. But then again, some people tended to have complicated names too. Especially when they came from countries, which languages they didn’t understand. She still could remember her younger years in Japan - back then, some had been a true challenge as well.

“ Pardon, but I don’t think that makes sense. “, she suddenly spoke.

“ How does a more complicated name make them important? I mean, wouldn’t they want to be worshiped after all and such? How can anybody do that, if its impossible to speak out their names? “, there just were too many questions burning on her tongue right now, “ When I heard the cabbage god’s name the first time, I actually did wonder why there’s not a single book mentioning him, and I have tried to read a lot about Japanese myths recently in my curiousity... I assume, it’s name was just too complicated for them in that case. “.

               It’s ANOTHER CABBAGE ! With an equally angry face !

              ‘ CABBAGE GODS ! ‘ 

For a moment she got worried over their silence, ready to ask if something was wrong. But then, a small gasp escaped from between her lips, at the sight of a second, angry-looking cabbage.

Double the leafy destruction!  How silly must the child and her look right now, while holding up those vegetables and chanting the same word over and over again after all? Just the thought made her chuckle lightly.

It didn’t really sound like a type of cabbage but then she didn’t know much about human food or what kind of names human would name food. Nevertheless, this was still amusing. 

“But I do agree! He does deserve the name of cabbage god. I am sure he would be thrilled about it.~” 

Well, she herself didn’t have much of a clue of course, what kind of names all sort of cabbages had. It was just the first thing that had come to her mind - and still did, everytime she stumbled over that name. It might not be respectful towards a god, but not everything had to respected, no matter the ‘might’ it may held.

“ Thanks! At least one person thinks like that. Usually I always get to hear that I’m ‘crazy’, whenever I mention that nickname. But come on - who can already remember that name and speak it out right, without getting the tongue all twisted anyway?! “.

Well, the cabbage got it’s face for a whole other reason - like, to throw it at people if they were rude or threatened her - but it seemed pretty worthy of use, if it meant to amuse a child. Of course it could do nothing but look angrily... and just be there.

But at least it had a mighty look.

They had the talk of what Chu is there and basically calling the name sounding like ‘cabbage’ was kinda her first reaction-

Don’t mind Phantasos. She is just standing in the corner laughing at Arahabaki’s new nickname. Cabbage god. Ah yes, Arahabaki the cabbage god.

“I never knew Arahabaki’s true form is a cabbage. Now, I think I understand why his host is a tiny human! Like god like host!” 

She blinks at Phantasos in confusion. Not even having realized that she is here as well.

“ Well, the name does sound like a type of cabbage after all. At first I might would have apologized, but... “, she paused, before shaking her head. “ ...things have changed and I realized that it deserves the name! “.
