New Concept
How about Hufflepuff aesthetics that aren’t all honey and plants and fireplaces and sweaters? There’s this stereotype that all there is to Hufflepuffs are fluffy, yellow things. C’mon, Potterheads. Look at Tonks. That woman was one of the best characters in the entire series, in my personal opinion. She was strong, and fierce, and a rebel. She fell in love with (and stayed with) a werewolf, even though you can imagine how frowned upon that was. She had hair that changed colour, and she didn’t change her appearance to make others happy - she changed it to make herself happy. And look at all your headcanons about Teddy Lupin! A rebel with bright blue hair and a huge heart, who wears leather a lot. They are both Hufflepuffs. Are they the stereotypical, honey-eating, cuddly pushovers that everyone seems to think Hufflepuffs are? No, they’re badass rebels. Almost every Potterhead I’ve run into agrees with that. The Hufflepuff house was the house from which nearly every single student stayed and fought at the Battle of Hogwarts with courage and light. Why are they reduced to fluffy and food-obsessed? They are strong and loyal and fiercely protective of the people, places, and concepts they value and love. They have the ability to be both gentle and furious. They are intelligent in their own rights, and brave. And yes - they do enjoy a good cuppa by the fire after a day of working in the garden. C’mon, Potterheads. Let’s start giving Hufflepuffs the treatment they deserve and start portraying them in less stereotypical (and falsely so) and dull ways. Gardens, tea, honey, sweaters, fireplaces - those are all traits that remind us of Hufflepuffs, and with good reason. But don’t completely erase their courage, loyalty, protectiveness, devotion to friends, and their strength.

I have the sudden urge to find a song from a musical (or a song similar to those in musicals) and go out to the woods and just sing it at the top of my lungs. Maybe I will, assuming I find a song.

Looking For Blogs!
So, I recently unfollowed a lot of blogs that had been great in the beginning, but devolved into blogs that posted excessively sexual images, violence, and gore. I’m looking for new blogs to follow. Please reblog if you post any of the following (though please note: if you post a lot of excessive gore, violence, or sexual things, I would prefer you didn’t reblog this without a warning):
Sherlock
Chuck
Disney
Andrew Scott
Rupert Graves
Adam Baldwin
Martin Freeman
Robert Carlyle
Gary Oldman
Sirius Black
Remus Lupin
The Marauders in general
Acting/filmmaking advice
Writing advice/resources
Positivity, encouragement, inspiration, etc.
The Inside
I’m also interested in the following, though to a lesser extent:
Star Trek (TOS)
Firefly/Serenity
All things Irish, Scottish, or English
Travel photography/tips
‘Wanderlust’-esque things
Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit
Aesthetic blogs
Supernatural
Stuff on ‘modern angels’
Doctor Who
Tom Hiddleston
The Avengers (not Age of Ultron, I haven’t seen that yet; if you do post AoU stuff, please do not reblog this unless you tag those posts with something I can block)
Mythical creatures
Werewolves
Anything with a ‘runaways/lost boys/street rats/gang of friends who become a family’ vibe
Lots of pictures of diverse groups of people (as long as they’re usually fully clothed); think Humans of New York, sort of. I like looking at all the lovely souls on this world!
So if you post any of the above (and aren’t a blog with constant sexual themes/gore), please reblog! If I’m already following you, it would be fantastic if you would be reblog to help spread the word.
Thank you!

Reminder to self:
Your writing seems boring and predictable because
You wrote it
You’ve read it like eight million times.
A person who has never read it before does not have this problem.
