I really enjoy Boundaries by @samblackblog , His Survivor (TW of heavy content and SA) by @sorrow-and-bliss , and Playing Games by @rat-bastard-fics (Paul X OC, but still worth a read). They are all amazing. I haven’t found too many Paul fics rn, but if anyone else has good ones to check out, lmk!

I was a 10 years old Ravenclaw walking the streets of Hogsmade, a little curious hobbit living in a hole into the ground, I went to all the parties Gatsby hosted, walked the streets in Camdem with Kalix and Moonglow. I solved crimes in the tiny apartment at 221 B Baker Street, I was in La Push, falling hardly in love with a gangly werewolf, I was there when Lisbeth Salander was set free, I lived in a manor in the middle of the Yorkshire and run through the woods with Anne, I was the lost fifth March sister. I was all. And I was nothing. I travelled through time and space, without getting out of my room. I have lived more in the yellowish pages of my books than in the real life. And now, now a new adventure is beginning. An adventure that I know will take my heart and break it into tiny little pieces. But it's been two years now and I cannot delay it anymore. Yesterday I finally started reading 𝑨 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒔 and after just 3 chapters I can scream out loud that I am hooked. Already obsessed. 🌹 Have you read these books? The best advice really is to just write. Write badly - purple prose, stilted conversations, rambling descriptions. Don’t delete it, pass go, take your $200, save all your garbage in a big folder. Look at how much you’ve made - it doesn’t matter if it isn’t perfect, isn’t polished, it was practice. Every time you write you learn a little more, and find another piece of your voice.

Healthy people who say stuff like “they’re still doing things so they can’t be in THAT much pain” need to understand that after a certain point pain becomes boring. No, you never get used to the pain, but you do gradually become bored. After months or years of mindless suffering in bed eventually you learn how to watch TV, do a light hobby, etc. even while in extreme pain, simply because chronic pain is incredibly dull and humans need entertainment.
