The Gwinett rap group California Car Club is going against the oversaturated trap movement. The 808s and laid back melodies within "Pakistani Danny" are a great contrast from Migos, also from Gwinett. The production and chords are reminiscent of Chuck Inglish's circa 2008. When Andre 3000 went on stage in 1995 at the Source Awards and said this: He wasn't lying. The South has been a powerhouse for Hip Hop/Rap and has continued to do so for over a decade. Three the Hard Way - Atari Jones

 Atari Jones, straight from Cleveland, raps over vibrant jazz samples in the track "Three the Hard Way". The song title is an ode to the 1974  film directed by Gordon Parks Jr.  Jones' inspirational lyrics are perfect for 2017 motivation. As January comes to an end this is the perfect soundtrack. Everyone should be making something of themselves. The jazz-hip hop sound is reminiscent of  Blu's Her Favorite Colo(u)r. With the aid of vocals from JuliaxG and Vveiss, a relaxing track was created. Music Finds: Divine Council - Decemba (Remix) ft. $ilk Money, André Benjamin

Andre 3000 professed his love for them in New York and they teamed up to create the “Decemba” remix. The video features GHE20G0THIK founder, Venus X as $ilk Money's love interest. They fail at finessing the police and die during Andre's unique feature.

Boogie - "N*gga Needs"

Boogie, 26, is a Compton-based rapper, who has been releasing mixtapes since 2014. The two releases Thirst 48 and The Reach have gained him a cool following. The art-influenced visual is directed by Gina Gammell and Riley Keough. His life is on exhibit much like the current events that are going on. The rough black experience is being televised but it still continues.

JK the Reaper - Dressed 2 Kill

JK and Curry are surrounded by pretty models at a pseudo-photoshoot. Kaytranada's signature sounds can be heard throughout the song. Freddie Grahamz - "The Outro"

Sample Saturday - Twelve'len "Carol's City"

Twelve'len, now a solo act, is straight out of Carol City, FL. He released his debut album Friends a few months ago. Friends is dreamy, bubbly and colorful. The themes of friendship, relationships, and happy melodies make a fun, radiant album. "Carol's City" is the breakdown of the tenth track "Girl from Nowhere". It samples "Beam Ahh", an underground Miami legend by DJ Chipman. It's been played at BBQs and parties from Opa-Locka to Overtown and came along with Miami dances. The high-pitched voice of DJ Chipman is heard beneath the screwed beat of "Girl from Nowhere". The sample blends into the new Miami sound. DJ Chipman is a Miami pioneer also responsible for mixing "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" and helping it go viral. "Beam Ahh" samples Eamon's "On&On" from Eamon's debut album. Chipman sped the track up and layered his adlibs onto it. Miami's underground music was famous for speeding up tracks and now it's sound is changing. Twelve'len is a part of the experimental wave in Miami. With the track "Carol's City" he's bringing two worlds together.
