What if aliens don’t throw up like humans do if we’re sick? Can you imagine the freak outs if they see a human spilling their guts, basically spewing acid, and then rest for a little bit before being perfectly fine?

What if earth is the only planet where life forms can throw up? Both voluntary and involuntary? Like some vultures will throw up as self defense and humans will throw up to dispel toxins and other harmful things.

To further elaborate on human vomiting mechanics, you know the feeling of your mouth watering and you just know you’re about to blow? That’s your body going “oh shit acid incoming” and quickly trying to neutralize it by producing saliva, which is a base. If you don’t produce that saliva, you risk burning the tissue with your stomach acid.

Now imagine the horror of an alien crew when a human crew mate starts spewing acid uncontrollably because they couldn’t reach the bathroom in time and now there’s chunks of food and stomach acid in the hall

Downloaded some new brushes is CSP so I decided to give them a try.

Once upon a time I drew scenes from a dream/nightmare I had.

I don’t really remember much but I do remember the feeling of being stalked. We were stuck in our house, trying to act normal by playing board games and telling stories by candle light. It never helped.

At one point, the little girl that was with us saw a cat on the porch. Despite my mother’s warnings, she petted the cat anyway. It seemed normal. Nothing was amiss until droves of cats came from the woodwork, carrying the girl down our driveway and into the gutter. We could only hear her distant screams of pain in the night, as the cats devoured her alive, consuming flesh and bone.

Eventually mom tells me to leave. To go and to not come back. She’ll be fine. I do so. I make my way down the long driveway, feeling eyes on me at every step. It’s too quiet. At the end of the driveway, I turn back to the quiet house with the lights still on. I’m scared for my mother so I head back.

When I enter the house again, I see that the spare bedroom at the end of the hallway has its lights on. There’s shuffling. “Mom?” I called out hesitantly.

She peeked around the door frame, “Why are you back?” She whispered.

“I’m scared” I murmur. A sense of foreboding falls over me as my mom rushes to hug me. As she wraps her arms tightly around me, I do the same to her. Both our shoulders fall warm with tears. My mom chokes out her finally words:

“Go to the lady that writes.”

And then I woke.

Yo! I would like to share some concept art of the same creature to show some improvement I made along the way and kinda help me document it.

These paintings are a little over a month apart and showcase my “God Eater” concept for my story. Both of them I also used to experiment with different styles to help me find the right feel to my comic.

The main goal for me was to create a creature that was seemed mindless yet in pain. Something that was sick both on the outside and the inside.

While I enjoy both paintings, the one I cherish the most would be the first painting. The newest one. The reason being is that I think it best captures the unnatural and painful look I was going for. The second painting seems a little bland and too like my original Wendigo concept. Pretty much the only thing different about it compared to the normal Wendigo is that is has no jaw and has a mouth on its neck.

The reason why the newer concept is better is because I actually did some research on cervine diseases. The newer concept is mainly inspired by Peruke antlers and tumorous growths find on some deer. I would say chronic wasting disease was also some inspiration but I think that comes with Wendigos in general.

While this creature is still undergoing a lot of design changes, I just want to make it a point that research matters. A lot of the times, at least for me, when I come up with stuff off the top of my head, it’s bland. It lacks the sense of life it so desperately needs. It lacks creativity. Research feeds the brain new information and allows the brain to take that information and run wild. It spurs creative genius.

A Forbidden Deadly Dance

I found this WIP in my art folder. My friends complimented on the lineart, and looking at it it’s a waste to just let it rot there ;w;

As usual, I’m infamous in not coloring my stuff so I just did the best I can :’)

I love ballroom dancing when I got it as a class, so I was inspired to make this piece.
