Bamboozled was a spike lee film about the "minstrel" of today media. It portrays a white television company searching for the black viewers and they ask their black writer to "write something black" for them. The film has very good angles and picture frames. In the end the black writer goes crazy and start to fill his house with minstrel objects. They become alive and his assistant kills him. It's a very moving place eve and it explains itself more than I can.

Jean-Michel Basquiat was a genius in his own way, but it seems as if no one knew the real him. The people would talk about his presences in the film but never the man. They would speak on how his art spoke and would see it a totally different way than it was portrayed i believe. The scenes in this film were very "weary". It showed the dark, sad, loneliness of Basquiat.

This film was a very powerful one about the push movement in Philadelphia. It was told about the good they did for themselves by building a community for people who look the same to protect and educate themselves. The government didn't see it as such and took them down by any means necessary. They tried several times to take them down but ultimately ended up killing most of them and burning down Their place of living

Wattstax was a cool little blaxploitation movie. It was interesting how flamboyant the men dressesed un ashamed of anything as the "rockstars" of our current time such as Lil uzi Vert. It was in watts which is a now "gang ridden"area in California so it was good to see black people showing love for the music. Also for the love of black people in general trying to have a good time

If I were to ever create a move I think it would be on the adventure of the richest man to ever live Mansa Musa of Mali. Ever since I heard about this man I realized they never taught about him in grade school. As a black man I feel that this a problem that this is a story that the media will not tell. This story will empower a lot of black males who feel like there is no other route than rapping and basketball like the media portrays.

Black film is a art created by us for us. You see it in today's films such as "the wood" or "boys in the hood". It explains the black experience in a whole through music, food, etc. IT is all done through televised media weather it be on the big screen or you television at home.
