Whenever I broach the subject with someone that I may be on the autism spectrum and if they could please be patient with me, they almost always hit me with some variation of: "Oh? I couldn't tell." Like, yes, that's the point. You can't tell because I hide everything about me that would potentially "give me away," so to speak. I don't remember much of my childhood, but I do remember that heart-crushing feeling of realization that other kids didn't want to be around me because I was strange. I remember that people would be annoyed with me when I behaved in a way that came naturally to me. I learned which situations I couldn't hide in and avoided them like my life depended on it. Unmasking is hard, because I am so afraid of being seen as that weird little kid all over again. But I'll keep working at it. I don't know. Just something I've been thinking about lately.

Cadenza does not have any piercings! She does quite like the look of ear piercings now that she’s gotten some exposure and would like to get her single lobes done.

She can play the pipe organ to a certain extent, probably at a level that is somewhere between beginner and intermediate. She has an ear for music and with some more practice, she would likely be able to pick up another instrument with ease.
